As I said earlier, this game is perfect for those who ride mass transit and want something to do while standing up on a bus or train, or for anyone that just enjoys a low-res retro experience. The game is relentlessly simple, but it’s got fun in it.

While Pac'n-Jump is hardly the most original game on the App Store, it certainly adapts from its inspirations well and offers plenty of fan service along the way. Fans of the endless ascension platformer genre could do far worse.

While experts won't find completing levels that challenging, being able to 3 star each level is another matter and it greatly extends the longevity of the game.

The puzzles can get a bit repetitive, but there are plenty of game modes to switch things up when needed. This is one game that won't be rotting away in some forgotten folder.

Hot Springs Story isn't quite as gripping as Game Dev Story. Its subject matter being not quite as clearly enjoyable as the earlier game, plus it's really quite a serious sim, with no sign of the humor of Game Dev Story. However, in turn it's a deeper experience with more to it. This ensures that Hot Springs Story is still a great game to play, just not quite as wondrous as its predecessor.

It's addicting, open, and at the same time structured. It also offers a decent amount of character progression. It ticks a lot of boxes on a lot of different checklists, and is bound to appeal to players with a number of different preferences.

As far as line drawing games go, Twang The Fox is like a breath of fresh air for a genre that seems to have been on its last leg for quite some time.

ClickGamer Solitaire doesn't reinvent the wheel. There are no gimmicks or oddness here. Mostly because it doesn't need them. It does exactly what you could want from a solitaire game which is all you could ask for. An ideal game to play on your lunch break.

Warmongers is definitely a cool and challenging game, but it might be a bit too challenging for some. If nothing else the requisite grind is something of a, well, grind. It is fun and it does sport some cool concepts, but it could stand to loosen up a little.

It's flashy and offers some great visual and audio feedback for just about every single action taken, and being able to manage a professional (fictitious) baseball team is just neat. Even for someone who's not really into America's Favorite Pastime.

Traffic Panic London is about having fun and blowing stuff up. It's the ideal stress buster when stuck on the subway or underground tube, waiting to head to work or return home. There's no need to spend real money on anything so this is the ideal inexpensive treat.

Although the game suffers from loose controls, the actual gameplay is quite refreshing and fun. If the player can get passed the loose controls, there is a wonderful game with great fun to be had.

The 3D endless runner genre could use more games like Zaxxon Escape, ones that try to do something new with their concepts. It doesn't always succeed, but it is still a fun take on the genre.

For fans of the retro style, Shuttle Scuttle should be very appealing, as it sticks very well to its roots as an NES homage, and that consistent style shows. Plus, it's an entertaining and challening shoot 'em up that should leave players begging for mercy after a while.

The fast pace and locked-room setup of Overboard! are perfect for a mobile murder mystery where you can truly pull the strings behind the scenes. I just wish doing so was a little easier or felt less like a guessing game, especially once you've uncovered a new path. That said, the game is an incredible feat of writing, and perfectly enjoyable for a few playthroughs. Perhaps if I wait to revisit it again Overboard! will feel fresh enough to give it some more tries.
