It's cute to look at but Top Bot is a pretty shallow if mildly entertaining multiplayer racing game.

Lacking a gripping storyline, Hidden City: Mystery of Shadows still offers some satisfying Hidden Object play but with some significant freemium elements in tow.

Devious Dungeon has some good ideas but it fails to execute on them, missing what makes its inspirations great.

It lacks the soul and heart of other soccer management games, but Football Owner does benefit from being speedy.

A major complaint I found with this game is the tutorial pictures that are shown before new features are added. I always found that the pictures either failed to adequately identify the "new" game strategy I was learning, or didn't seem to be incorporated into the level at all.

The art is well done, yet it lacks some polish.

Hyperforma presents a lot of neat ideas that all quickly get subverted by its powerup system. For a game that seems otherwise immaculately detailed and thought out, this powerup system is such a glaring flaw in the experience that Hyperforma is pretty hard to recommend.

It is convenient that you can play Match Land without a data connection, but that's pretty much the only edge it has over other match-three games. Its byzantine upgrade structure and loads of free-to-play mechanics make it hard to enjoy, and–even if those weren't present–the core matching mechanics seem a little too random to be satisfying.

So, not a bad game, but not something you're going to fall in love with, either. Unless, of course, you're a huge fan of the Annoying Orange character; in which case, we're sorry.

Move the Wood is two separate, albeit well done, games in one. The two aspects don't really blend together to create a new, innovative type of game, but the app does have some fun and challenging levels.

Snake Rewind is nostalgic, but not as tightly constructed as the original.

It's just not compelling enough, instead feeling very by the books in terms of what's required of a Hidden Object game. Throw in the fact that controls are a little unresponsive at times and it makes for an average game amongst a sea of other titles that are a more attractive bunch.

I had some fun completing the Hidden Object scenes but it wasn't substantial enough to recommend Epic Adventures: Cursed Onboard.

With some tweaks this could be a solid mech action game, but as it is now it feels like more of a broken-down wreck.

Possibly because NASCAR games don't enjoy the same popularity as other sports games, this title attempts to mix things up by turning a racing game into a simulation. But is that a good thing?

Sailing the high seas should feel like an adventure, but in Tempest, it just feels like a battlefield. While the game does have some surprisingly nuanced naval combat, it otherwise feels kind of empty and slapdash. If you just want to fire cannons at other boats, this might just be right up you're alley. Otherwise, I'd recommend you check out the recently released Sunless Sea for a more robust seafaring experience.

The cartoon graphics look cheap and bland but somehow that seems appropriate. Even the game's one piece of music is just a creepier, music box rendition of the main theme from Swan Lake.

While this may not be the best matching game, it does have some unique characteristics that set it apart and make it enjoyable. The paper craft style is quirky and whimsical if not super polished. The puzzling portion is unfortunately short, but there are other modes for players who can manage to juggle the often conflicting mechanics.

Ultimately, Paper Wings is one of those games I will likely keep on my phone for a few days, which is about as long as it takes me to fill it to capacity, and then quickly discard.
