Though Dangerous Hunts 2011 scores a bullseye on delivering a more robust, and even console-life campaign experience, piss-poor presentation and an awkward control scheme seem to veer this shot radically off target.

A very addictive app with a lot of gaming time and is definitely recommended at the low price of free.

If you can enjoy a good "B" movie or Zombie flick from time-to-time, this will be right up your undead alley.

If you are looking for a unique experience in the app store and enjoy turn based fighting, An Art of War may be a good bet. It's not perfect, but it is challenging… something that I can't say for many games that I see.

Jet Point is frustrating game but a good one too. Rocket science isn’t supposed to be easy either.

An interesting title but one that struggles to compel. I found myself playing it more because I had to rather than because I was really enjoying it.

It's an ideal game for such a purpose, never taking that long to achieve something. While not as skillful as something like Fruit Ninja, there is some fun to be had here.

A variation on an old theme, Square Off succeeds at what it attempts but doesn't warrant a purchase.

Ultimately, the game seems much less about showing off the vast lexicon acquired through years of word usage, and more about being quick and agile with not only the fingers, but in how the mind can construct smaller, more efficient words.

Despite the guiding god style of gameplay being long ignored, Save The Furries makes a good step towards showing that the genre is still alive and well. As long and consumers can get past the game's hefty $3.99 pricetag, there is quite a bit to love in this planetary puzzler.

I can absolutely see this app used as an educational supplement in a science class. Students would be assigned to gather a specific number of facts about each planet. In order to do so, they’ll have a bit of fun by playing the game and completing the missions. Additionally, this app would be great for any science or space enthusiasts that just want to learn more. Either way, it wouldn’t hurt to try it out for free.

It may not be a deadly good time, but it can certainly be a great time sink, pending your bar for frustration is high enough.

Free-to-play management games tend to fall into the trap of monetizing before incentivizing. Band Stars forces players to decide if they feel the same way.

Maybe with a few more level packs under its belt, Munch Time could be a more compelling purchase. For now though, it's only really worth it for those who have exhausted superior games within the genre.

A fun jaunt through a war-torn ancient China, and I'll be the first to say that mowing down lines of soldiers is rather thrilling. But without more depth or a decent storyline, Vanquish remains a simple hack-and-slash.

Part of a genre where every strategic battle title begins to look familiar, Heroes of Dragon Age separates itself with highly detailed artwork and gameplay to match. However, initial long load times and semi-auto gameplay might put some off.

Although it doesn’t end in an especially satisfying way, I still really enjoyed my time with Forgotton Anne. It builds a really cool world and animates it beautifully. It even contains quite a few touching character moments and explores interesting ideas. These things are rare in games, particularly on the App Store, so its flaws are worth looking past.

It'll provide a few hours of gameplay and does enough different from others in the genre to make me feel like I'm playing something new and fresh. It won't wow you or be on any end of the year lists, but for a buck it's not a bad buy at all.
