Running Wild HD is entertaining enough to warrant a play through, but it doesn't offer much of an incentive to return to it after beating the initial 50 stages.

A pretty special idea compared to anything else on the App Store. For this very reason, it's an acquired taste aimed at a specific audience. For the pre-teen and teen audience however, this is ideal. Bringing up difficult issues just makes it all the more appropriate.

Nakama throws plenty of fast-paced ninja action at players in a blocky 2D landscape.

It's not groundbreaking, but I can think of worse ways to spend $0.99.

This is the only game on the App Store about drunk horses, for better or for worse.

Tiny Warriors is a fun, but doesn't offer any innovative game mechanics. However, it will definitely satisfy anyone who wants a modern version of Paratroopers and Sabotage.

Fara is a well polished action RPG from a small team. The game may not be epic in scale, but it seems about the right size for a small device and it is compelling enough to merit a look. The hand-painted environments are beautifully crafted, and the dialogue is funny even if a bit over the top at times.

An auto-runner with a soul, Sound Ride is sometimes unpredictable but still worth a look.

Big Win Soccer is certainly a compelling experience. The card collection aspect is very clever indeed, but it's just a shame everything is so expensive.

Guiding a tiny fly through a series of surreal and complicated mazes isn't exactly easy but it sure is pretty.

Handy lessons about web security are available through this sometimes chaotic time management game.

While Real Escape is certainly a neat, good-looking, and clever little escape game thanks largely to the use of the gyroscope, so many of the smaller but no less essential elements seem to have been overlooked. It's fun to play, and solving the obtuse riddles feels great, but it can be a real chore to wade through the interface to do so.

Total Domination: Reborn does a lot of things right but the PvP elements feel a bit too extreme.

My feelings about RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard are almost perfectly summed up by the opening moments of booting the game. Before you reach the game menu, there's this opening cinematic that plays set to a cover of "Go Tell Aunt Rhody." Choosing a centuries old folk song that has decidedly creepy vibes is a really inspired and evocative song choice, but this performance of it is so melodramatic and over-the-top that it loses all of its impact. Looking back on my time with RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard, it's fairly easy to see this pattern of excellent decision-making getting kneecapped all over the place. It makes for an uneven, and sometimes frustrating--experience, but one that is nonetheless easier to enjoy than its less-inspired counterparts on the App Store.

Though the quality of the visuals cannot be questioned, the feeling of actually competing against someone else is missing. This is a fun world to play around in, but at the end of the day it isn't going to provide the adrenaline hit that racing fans so desperately need.

Sky Tribes is a cute free-to-play PvP game that boasts some interesting ideas, but it moves very slowly unless players are willing to pay up.

DISTRAINT is far from a perfect game, but some of its problems make it a memorable, and almost endearing, experience. The not-so-fun issues, while present, are minor enough that you can still make your way through the game just fine. As a result, DISTRAINT makes for a unique adventure experience that is more curious than it is scary.

Suffering through killer plyometric workouts and dropping weighty fists of cash for brand name cleats may have to wait. For now, I can rest my aching pregnant bones on a cushy leather sofa and watch The World Cup.

Virtual City Playground is still enjoyable and the series of missions certainly adds to the appeal. For the hardened gamer however, restrictions can turn frustrating. Players with limited amounts of free time will lap Virtual City Playground up as a worthy alternative to Virtual City.

Jet Run: City Defender's beauty might be its own worst enemy.

At times, Hollywood Monsters might feel a little too zany for its own good. It lacks the polish of something like Broken Sword, but what it does offer is a traditional adventure game, warts and all.
