At least Strange Cases: The Tarot Card Mystery lasts for a while and because of its low impact one can easily play it while doing various other things. However, as a game meant to hold one's attention by itself it comes up a little short. There is a reason why games like these are meant for magazines typically found in the dentist office.

Angry Birds is still a fun enough game that Snappy Dragons' blatant use of its concept, even down to the way certain menu buttons look, doesn't make it a bad game. It just makes it a redundant one. Most would agree, though, that dragons are at least cooler than birds.

Compared to previous installments in the series, Battle Bears Blast may be an ultimately simpler and lighter game. But it's still a silly and fun shooter. Wall Kickers is a great little package. It probably won’t be your next obsession, but it’s not a game that really feels like it’s shooting for that, either. The Portal of Power is the best justification for this game. For those looking for a new reason to use their Skylanders figure collection, or wanting to get into it, then buy the Portal of Power and go crazy. Otherwise, stay away: as a purely-virtual experience, it's somewhat lacking.

Dungeon Crawlers delivers a solid dungeon crawling experience and its turn based combat works really well even if it's hard to control at times. There's not a whole lot about Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that is surprising. It's a pretty run-of-the-mill, freemium crafting game, but it just so happens to be made by Nintendo, which means it has pretty amazing production values. You'd probably be pretty hard-pressed to find a more pleasant-looking game like this on the App Store, but it shouldn't be too hard to find something a bit more interesting.

When making a multiplayer game on mobile, it's extremely important to be mindful of players' time. If your game isn't super complicated, it should be a quick, satisfying experience. It shouldn't be bloated with long animations, and matches should be designed to end in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately for Stormbound, neither of these things are true. Although it has a lot of neat mechanics and potential, Stormbound is just a bit too slow for its own good.
