    Este álbum demuestra la madurez de Katy Perry demostrando que ella se reinventa y no se estanca en solo sonidos iguales a sus anteriores trabajos.
    Witness da un concepto de superación y autoestima que cada uno debe seguir y luchar por ellos.
    Lastimosamente no fue tomado muy bien por los críticos, ella se merece aun mas.

    Perry takes a step back, she seems to be experimenting but something definitely went wrong. Perhaps the cliché and hideous production of the middle of the album or perhaps the unnecessary childish essence that is characteristic of her. On the other hand, songs like "Chained to the Rhythm" make us forget those bad (quite a few) moments on the album.

    Witness is a down-trodden, weak pop record that stands as a major blemish in Katy's discography. It tries to be empowering and woke, but ends up failing for Katy, as she sacrifices personalty with generic lyrics and production.

    There are hardly any memorable songs and the only ones that are memorable are the singles so the rest of the album is pretty much filler.

    One of the best albums of 2017, but unfairly criticized, I confess that the tracks Witness and Pendulum won me first! Most of the songs i only managed to get attached to after listening more carefully. Witness is definitely iconic!

    Um álbum injustiçado pelo público, não entendo o motivo de tanto ódio com essa era. A única faixa que não me desceu foi "mind maze", gosto bastante da letra porque fala sobre saúde mental, mas não da produção. Pendulum é o auge do álbum, amo a letra, produção, os vocais e o coral fundo.

Chained To The Rhythm, Power, and Witness are all high points of this record with how bold, catchy, and personal songs all these three songs are. Swish Swish was alright (I do like the groove and the Nicki feature), Bon Appetite is rather a guilty pleasure, and Tsunami was pretty neat, but then the album takes a nose dive. Hey Hey Hey has cringy lyrics and tries so hard to have an alt pop and dream pop kind of sound but fails. Mind Maze while being unique and different, the autotune is a major turnoff. The rest of the album is forgettable, yes even the ballads, and tries way to hard to be woke.… Expand

    Um álbum realmente muito bom, infelizmente só consegue ser entendido por pessoas inteligentes, por isso foi tão odiado. Mind Maze, Bonna Petit e Hey Hey Hey são as mais ruinzinhas. O resto é ótimo!

    Um álbum que mostra uma outra face da popstar que com tanto pouco tempo de carreira conseguiu feitos inimagináveis para uma iniciante.
    Em 'witness' Katy Perry desmonta a imagem da hitmaker de eras passadas e nos mostra sua face mais humana, outro aspecto interessante é sua posição política, algo que vemos com clareza nas faixas 'chained to the rhythm' e 'bigger than me'.

    Witness isn't good, its really bad when you think about it. The quality of her songs dropped to the floor by the time this album was released. I used to enjoy the hits but now she has gotten much worse than expected.

    It is one of the best albums released in 2017, with a sound that appeals to the ears as in Déjà-vu, Witness and Dance With The Divel. The album and Katy Perry really did not deserve bad approval from the public and media, the "failure" of the singer's fourth album is not for the supposed "poor quality" of it, which is nonexistent. But rather, by the persuasion and persecution against Katy.

Sí bien los anteriores pueden llenarse la boca con ser "exitosos" con ritmos sumamente pegadizos, buena producción y medianamente buenos liricamente, este solo quiso jugársela a lo "oscuro y maduro". El problema con Katy era que cuando gustaba en sus anteriores trabajos era fuerte, luchadora de una causa, con voz adulta y segura, pero en otras infantil, boba,En esencia su peor trabajo. Sí bien los anteriores pueden llenarse la boca con ser "exitosos" con ritmos sumamente pegadizos, buena producción y medianamente buenos liricamente, este solo quiso jugársela a lo "oscuro y maduro". El problema con Katy era que cuando gustaba en sus anteriores trabajos era fuerte, luchadora de una causa, con voz adulta y segura, pero en otras infantil, boba, inmadura y con mensajes sexuales tontos y comerciales. Con Witness paso todo eso pero en 1 sólo disco. Quiso ser madura, dar voz al movimiento feminista, hablar sobre su dolor y más, pero involucró ritmos tontos, que buscaban ser infantiles pero a la vez no lo querían y una producción confusa y sin rumbo, aunado a la sensación que en un afán de querer hacer algo diferente quiso hacer en parte lo mismo y termino no haciendo nada arruinando todo. Sin contar el tema de política y de contradecirse en que ella no busca pelearse o dar importancia a comentarios sobre ella. E inevitablemente el peor error del disco: Migos y Swish Swish, que es hasta cansado y repetitivo hablar sobre estos dos desaciertos. Solo 2 baladas de este álbum se salvan y después de tanto escucharlas se vuelven aburridas, cutres y planas. Una era que sí bien marco un cambio en ella no fue cómo se esperaba quedado un 30% bueno y 70% malo. 4.5 para Katy Perry… Expand

    Un excelente álbum, el cual te da un viaje en su historia, que contiene una gran falencia: la elección de los singles. Pero en general hay para todos los gustos. Personalmente creo que es un álbum muy infravalorado y que merece mucho más reconocimiento del que tiene.

    Witness é a peça que estava faltando na carreira e musicalidade de Katy Perry. A obra traz consigo vulnerabilidade, consciência e palavras sábias, algo que anteriormente parecia ser evitado nos discos anteriores da artista, que apenas buscava entretenimento e sentimentos aflorados, sem muito envolvimento pessoal. Katy Perry já tem seu legado concretizado na indústria depois de Witness.

    Roulette e Miss You More foram as que mais chegaram perto do que Katy fez nos seus álbuns anteriores.

However, what we hear in this album is that Katy just didn’t take the album tracks serious, and even Power had no power to save the album, the only reasonable song was Chained To The Rhythm.     A very well produced album, mature and full of engaging rhythms and strong lyrics. It does a little bit on a few tracks, but nothing that takes away the brilliance of what it purports to bring. Bigger Than Me and Bon Appétit my favorite tracks.

    Me pareció genial el concepto del álbum aunque debió de ejecutar su promoción mejor. En general un sonido muy adelantado para su época si lo ubiera liberado en 2019 o 2020 creo que ubiera funcionado vocal ente katy suena espectacular y su producción muy alternativa perfecta para u.     It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
