    an absolute masterpiece. yes, melodrama and ph were commercially successful but sp has purposely been written to not be. joni mitchell’s tapestry album and john lennon’s musical era post beatles are what i find remind me of sp, and these were some of their best works!! i didn’t give it a 10, only bc the standard release didn’t (and should’ve) included the two tracks released on deluxe -an absolute masterpiece. yes, melodrama and ph were commercially successful but sp has purposely been written to not be. joni mitchell’s tapestry album and john lennon’s musical era post beatles are what i find remind me of sp, and these were some of their best works!! i didn’t give it a 10, only bc the standard release didn’t (and should’ve) included the two tracks released on deluxe - those two were god tier songs of this album imo… Expand

    Lorde has done it again by changing her artistic direction in a good way. This album takes care of all your worries with its melodies and catchy lyrics.

    Excelente album, Lorde cambió mucho en lo que tiene que ver sus letras desde Melodrama. Pero a nivel musical es un album disfrutable y sobre todo muy limpia la producción con buenas letras. Es un album increíble que sin duda crece en ti más y más mientras más lo escuchas.

    different is not synonymous with the word "bad." it's timeless. she dedicated several years to each piece and it shows. she has had the opportunity to grow as an individual and her mental health is better. melodrama and pure heroine come from a teenage side of her. i am proud of her

The Melodies of every Song are unbelievably beautiful with an production that even tops her second Album Melodrama. The Lyricism is the cherry on top of Solar Power, beautifully written Lyrics that have Lordes complex Vocabulary but at the same time are easy to understand. It‘s definitely something new that some might need some time to adjust too but it was definitely worth the wait.… Expand

    The album is an expierence and not something to think over too much with, it's not meant to be inspected by every second with high quality headphones or analyse deeply every single word. It's just meant to be listened to and enjoyed with no thoughts head empty kinda vibe. I personally enjoyed it a lot, but if you don't give it at least 3 listens for it to sink in your mind and find it'sThe album is an expierence and not something to think over too much with, it's not meant to be inspected by every second with high quality headphones or analyse deeply every single word.     She's done it again! Simply breathtaking and beautiful. If you're looking for a melodrama 2.0 you will be disappointed but that's the point. If you on the other hand is open for to take in this beautiful, raw and personal nature of Solar Power you will have a great time with it! Definitely worth checking out and spend time with!

    Apesar das diferenças em relação ao 'Melodrama', o terceiro álbum da Lorde traz, sim, extrema qualidade musical. Compará-lo ao antecessor não é o caminho ideal, uma vez que são eras diferentes, sonoridade diferente e uma Lorde mais mistura. Continua sendo a Lorde, de muita qualidade, e é isso que importa.

    Es un conjunto demasiado referencial. Recuerda un poco a The Mamas & The Papas, pero no tan bueno… incluso las hay, o al menos así se siente, a artistas actuales como Lana del Rey y Taylor Swift. Seguro que el productor se sintió muy cómodo haciendo este álbum. Es un cambio que decepciona.

    Thanks, Lorde. This album is magnificent and is all we need right now. Solar Power is harmonious and its lyrics are so special. The work that Lorde gives us is so beautiful.

    I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that Lorde has once again created an outstanding project that was executed beautifully. Her song writing continues to speak for itself, wrapped in a cocoon of production (spearheaded by Lorde herself) that is so different than anything I'm hearing in the contemporary world of music. Jack Antonoff's contributions to this production can't goI'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that Lorde has once again created an outstanding project that was executed beautifully. Her song writing continues to speak for itself, wrapped in a cocoon of production (spearheaded by Lorde herself) that is so different than anything I'm hearing in the contemporary world of music. Jack Antonoff's contributions to this production can't go un-missed, and their teamwork shines through. The themes are so exotic feeling, as if summer is breathing on your neck and all there is to do is look inside yourself and feel good about it. I've listened three times, and the highlights for me are The Path, Solar Power, California, Stoned at the Nail Salon, Fallen Fruit, Secrets From a Girl (Who's Seen It All), Dominoes, Big Star, Mood Ring and Hold No Grudge. I'm intoxicated by this album and can't wait to unravel and learn to love it more.… Expand

    It's simply a good work. Lorde knows how to create a cohesive album and Solar Power explores new sound and they are used in every song differently. Lyrically it's mature and could be the most atemporal works of Ella

    Such a nice, breezy, light and relaxing experience. Some lines can make you burst into tears, and others can make you smile and feel a warm heart. Throughout these 12 guitar driven tunes, you will feel the solar power, the summer winds and the heartbreaking feeling of growing up.

    This album really transports us to a mystical and divine place. It captivates the essence of nature and purity of life itself. Special highlight to Fallen Fruit, which is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish.

    All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.

    If you're riding and vibing with Lorde, this bright shapelessness is superb mood music. If you're not riding her wave, Solar Power can seem elusive, even cloying, as it circles and sways with a smile.
