    just like in a circus this album is full of boring and monotonous jokes but they still manage to make us laugh at times, even for a brief moment.     The album has some okay moments but feels ultimately lackluster and a copy and paste project sampling trends from the past years. Most notably most of the songs sound like copies of songs from Future Nostalgia without any attempt to cover it up.

    It´s so terrible that it doesn't even deserve a review. I can only say that at least this album is better than Witness (and that's not a compliment) and there are two good songs like Never Really Over and Cry About it Later. Katy Perry should really think about retiring, because she's adding literally nothing to the music industry. "but she's indie now". No, she's not even that.

    ¡Triste pero real! Katy Perry de verdad entró en el flop. No podia creerlo hasta que escuche este disco. En letras (como casi siempre) se denota mucho poder, su voz en algunas canciones como What Makes a Woman es en verdad muy suave y agradable al oído, pero es la única canción del disco junto a Only Love que pude escuchar hasta el final sin aburrirme. Un álbum que obviamente recuerda a la¡Triste pero real! Katy Perry de verdad entró en el flop. No podia creerlo hasta que escuche este disco. En letras (como casi siempre) se denota mucho poder, su voz en algunas canciones como What Makes a Woman es en verdad muy suave y agradable al oído, pero es la única canción del disco junto a Only Love que pude escuchar hasta el final sin aburrirme.     When you work with a new album, you are wondering to hear something new. Im sorry Ms. Katy but it´s fine if you just celebrate the birth of your new child, because this album it´s the same as we heard in 2010 , 2013 & 2016.

    The amount of ageism and sexism in the Critics reviews is annoying but not surprising. This is a very impressive album, pure pop gold down to it's core, what makes a woman is one of the best songs of the year!!!

    La reina del pop recuperando su sonrisa, el mejor álbum en cuanto a letra y los ritmos definitivamente algo muy intenso digno de ser alabado, la evolución en la música de katy perry es notoria, excelente álbum.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
