It's clear that fans love it, it had a 9.5 user rating until you-know-who's fandom started giving it negative reviews. Regardless, this album is pure pop perfection. Cry About It Later and Not the End of the World are immediate standouts. Katy's lyricism is on point and fans of hers understand her struggles from the past few years on a deeper level. The production is also super clean and was reminiscent of an evolved version of PRISM. It is unfortunate that the single choices were so poor (besides Never Really Over) because Katy may have lost the general public's interest with Harley's in Hawaii or Daisies. All in all, Smile is my personal Album of the Year and this album is living proof that critics' opinions don't matter if your fans love it.… Expand

Cuando te sientas derrotado, escucha este álbum que es una bandita al corazón; con letras y ritmos que seguro abrazarán tu tristeza.     This album is honestly a piece of art. I can’t help but disagree with critics, as it seems so many are almost looking for something to complain about in each track. Smile is a journey from the beginning to the end, taking you from the harder parts of healing to the light at the end of the tunnel. Sonically, the album has a nice cohesion while still providing tracks that contrast in themes,This album is honestly a piece of art.     This is such a great album especially for waking up and driving. Hopeful, positive and fun. This is definitely Katy Perry's best album. Congrats Katy Perry!!!!

    Es un álbum increíble uno de los mejores que Katy nos ha entregado, tanto la producción, como la lírica de estás canciones es muy precisa y no se queda estancada en sonidos repetitivos que pueden llegar a aburrir, en fin Katy entrego un trabajo excepcional y que para nada decepciona.

    The album is great and extremely required in the current times. After listening to the album for more than 20 times now, I can honestly say that it deserves the perfect score. I am sorry to say that many people rating the album as 0 haven't even listened to it and are doing it out of pettiness. Just listen to something before judging it.

    Álbum muy metodologíco en tanto al estilo particular de Katy Perry, tiene buenos puntos en Beats y otros buenos picos líricos, las canciones pueden llevar a ser enérgicas terminando con gran desempeño vocal pero carecen de concisión muchas sin puentes o saliendo del mensaje que trata de comunicar.

    Fuera de los ritmos si te detienes a meditar cada una de las letras, katy nos presenta un lado muy profundo y mucho más maduro sin embargo ella no pierde su toque sabe lo que hace entonces le agrega los ritmos pop que la destacan en Tennage dream pero mucho más poderosa. Este es su mejor obra pocos artistas llegan a este grado de profundidad con su arte.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
