    I love how Katy showed the world that depression can be just a phase and you can always get back your Smile. The album gives me such a positive vibe - even though some lyrics are not that positive. The fact that she made this album with no featured artists, proves to me that Katy Perry is a name that you must put some respect on. She’s complete and I think “Smile” shows it.

Just like Harley's in Hawaii, a tropical masterpiece makes me wanting to have summer right know, is from 2019. Her strongest singles from that year, for sure.
    On the album, Daisies and Smile are perfect examples of the status quo of THE Katy Perry. Deep songs with a great message. Katy Perry served.
    All the other songs on the album support the theme in an awesome way.
    Cry About It Later and Not The End Of The World are absolutely single worthy and deserved a high budget music video, which Katy Perry always delivers.
    Only Love, What Makes A Woman and Resilient are emotional mid tempo tracks showing the true Katy Perry to her fans and all of us.
    With every listen you get a new wist and new sounds in a song, truly a surprise to see a now grown Katy Perry showing us: She is the Queen of Pop and nobody can do it lile her. Other female pop stars try to change their roots and main genres to get attention. Katy Perry WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE POP PERFECTION.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
