I'm happy that katy did this for us and she and her baby daisy bove bloom is healthy and happy together and now moving to her album first She starred this album by saying I'm losing my self control and end with it's katlyan baby. She referded to her part of me song in daisies .     More of the same! Smile portrays a stagnation in Katy Perry's career since 12 years after her first album the singer still does not seem to have met as an artist, releasing cliché material with production and lyrics that seem to have been discarded from previous materials. Terrible!

It's just an awful attempt to try to reinsert herself in the music industry, so much repetitive songs and she tries way too get to the young audience and preach at times too. It's essentially more of the same as always, her album would have been less of a resounding failure if it had the usual collaborations Katy has. Nicki definitely saved Witness and without it, it would have done worse. It's very lousy, I really thought the Katy Perry could have brought us something better, but it’s not what we have here. I'm sorry Katy, but this a no. It's horrible, please get better and come back to the quality music you once provided.… Expand

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
