    I was looking forward to this album, I am a fan of Katy Perry since 2011 I must say that I loved this album from the first song to the last, a pretty good album, pretty excellent good pop with its melodies a beautiful album 10/10

    Katy has pivoted to.. boring! After the first two songs the album felt like a mission to stay awake to while listening. Katy Perry needs a long hard break.

Para mi era imposible que Katy perry superará Teenage Dream, y este álbum me ha hecho darme cuenta que es el mejor álbum de Katy Perry hasta ahora. Ritmos increíbles y pegadizos, letras hermosas, Katy siempre ha tenido el talento de transmitir emociones y hacerte querer bailar y al mismo tiempo tener una letra increíble. Las críticas de este álbum no tienen lógica, no les hagan caso a las negativas, solo son de criticos que desearon ser artistas y no pudieron y tienen que conformarse con pensar que saben de música y escribir sobre eso, les gusta lo que esta de “moda” entonces ellos no son importantes como para tomarlos en cuenta. TD también tuvo criticas malas y fue el álbum que hizo que Katy Perry igualará un record de Michael Jackson, Prism fue #1 y también tuvo malas críticas al igual que Witness que fue #1. Entonces los criticos no valen la pena, ellos no importan. ESTE ÁLBUM ES HERMOSO, NO TIENE UNA CANCIÓN QUE SALTES, TODO ES INCREÍBLE. El mensaje de Katy en Only Love es hermoso, ritmos de cry about it later, champagne problems son incomparables. Sin duda Katy Perry demuestra una vez más que es LA REINA DEL POP.… Expand

I made an accnt here because I saw in stan twitter that they are giving this album a 0 rating, This album does not deserve that if I can compare it to her other albums this can topped the TD era tho not in numbers and charts but the quality of music this record had.     I think this is her best album since 2013. BETTER THAN WITNESS. All tracks from this album is so good. A happy pop-dance album that i recommend. I listened to this album and smiled just like the name of this album.

    Extremely good album, a happy album to cheer you up during the pandemic. My personal favourite would be cry about it later, harleys in hawaii and not the end of the world. The way all of the songs are positive and it makes u feel good. The production is well done too and the lyrics are definitely heartfelt. An album does not need to be “deep” to be good.

    That’s literally good body work. That’s not 10/10, but I don’t agree with critics, why do they always try to make her dirty? That’s unprofessional at all. Album feels like a story with 4 chapters. And it really works! That’s obviously one of the pest pop album this year, Katy did that, again.

    She gave us masterpieces as teenage dream and prism and then ruined her whole career with witness and now this, smile.
    The only reason i put 3 is because of CAIL and WMAW. I really miss the old Katy.

    There are some really great songs on this albums and some songs I plan on never listening to again. It's far from her prime pop hits but album as a whole is just a message of empowerment which is great but it's been the same message through the entire album.

It's clear that fans love it, it had a 9.5 user rating until you-know-who's fandom started giving it negative reviews. Regardless, this album is pure pop perfection. Cry About It Later and Not the End of the World are immediate standouts. Katy's lyricism is on point and fans of hers understand her struggles from the past few years on a deeper level. The production is also super clean and was reminiscent of an evolved version of PRISM. It is unfortunate that the single choices were so poor (besides Never Really Over) because Katy may have lost the general public's interest with Harley's in Hawaii or Daisies. All in all, Smile is my personal Album of the Year and this album is living proof that critics' opinions don't matter if your fans love it.… Expand

    It’a a nice album to listen while you chill or drive... I personally love the upbeat take on the songs with powerful lyrics. A nice album in my opinion... As a LittleMonster to the freakin’ core, I can say that this is one of the best albums of the year alongside Dua and Gaga’s latest projects 7/10

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
