    The album is so fresh and sweet, the sounds, the vocals and the lyrics make the perfect match. Katy says that with this album she wants us to get a big and shine smile, well, we all now have it.

Smile is a journey from the beginning to the end, taking you from the harder parts of healing to the light at the end of the tunnel. There's no skip in this album and all the songs tell a story from the beginning to the end of the album. Every song is spiritual and a bop you can dance to every single song. The album is actually divided into four parts:

    THERAPY- Never really over, Cry about it later, Teary eyes
    RECOVERY- Daisies, Resilient, Not the end of the world
    HAPPINESS- Smile, Champagne problems, Tucked.
    TRUE LOVE- Harleys in Hawaii, Only love, What makes a woman

    All songs are mind blowing both lyrically and musically. My favourites are: Cry about it later, Not the end of the world, What makes a woman and Daisies. I recommend you to listen to this album once its just 35 minutes long you'll fall in love with it!    … Expand

    I wanted to like it as some who recieved the vinyl early said it was amazing. But every song was just meh. It sounds like 2010 pop with the same basic lyrics. I did kinda like Not the end of the world, but to spend an hour listening to a whole album to find 1 song I might listen to again kind of sucks.

    It should be called Frown rather than Smile. There wasn’t a single ounce of originality in this album. She hasn’t been able to release good music since 2013. And even that was a stretch. My favorites include Cry About It Later, Teary Eyes, Tucked, Champagne Problems, and Not the End of the World. I see the reviews for critics and they hardly are about the music itself and always compare her to Lady Gaga or Dua lipa which is wrong. The music Perry delivers is amazing in every direction. It makes you happy, it makes you sad, but most importantly, it makes you get your smile back. Thank you Katy.… Expand

    i was amazed since the first second of listening cry about it later, this album is a reflection of Katy's self-esteem nowadays. it's so comforting knowing she's okay. she makes us feel this way too, the rhythms are everything, the choirs exquisite. Katy really lifted up her music, the industry just hates her, she deserves better reviews

    One of her best work since Teenage dream. Apart from showcasing her songwriting and vocal prowess, the album also helps us in understanding the journey of heartbreak to self heal. All the songs are deep but with fun filled beats so that every one can dance to it as well cry while busting out a move.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
