The album is nothing different. It sounds repetitive, does not give the kicks like thank you next.

She recorded a r'n'b album, probably for attract future listeners. These risks are a yes for me, the production is perfect for her angel voice, congrats Ariana!

This album is a piece of Art, Ariana is one of the iconic artists of our generation, this work is one of the most private and is very special for the fans.

i honestly wasn't the biggest fan of this album when i first listened to it and still don't 'love' it but if for sure is an appreciable body of work. Though a downgrade from her previous 2 albums it very much does have some of the best songs in her discography (ex. title track, pov, worst behaviour)

A basic album, with songs that look the same. Honestly, I don't think anyone – myself included – expected such a monotonous album. Ariana Grande is a very talented singer, but apparently she doesn't like to sing, as we can see when checking the length of the songs. She really needs to innovate. I hope your next album doesn't disappoint us or leave us to be desired like "Positions" did.

Ariana Grande's most explicit album, the lyrics are totally charming, the album doesn't have any songs to skip, without a doubt the best album of next year will be positions.Ariana always exceeds our expectations.

One word to describe it: awful. Ariana Grande keeps proving that she can't write and she in fact, is one of the most overrated artists. Please go listen to Life Support by Madison Beer instead of this mess!

Positions consolidates Grande as the great artist that she is, being her most R&B album so far, she doesn't skimp on vocals like she did on her previous album (thank u,next) on tracks like shut up, safety net and (mainly) my hair the artist shows why she deserves the title of greatest vocalist of her generation. Positions is practically a perfect pure r&b album if it weren't for the production of some tracks that leave something to be desired at certain times. A more mature (and better) version of ‘sweetener’ that gets better every time you listen. Ariana proves once again that she is not a simple singles artist but that she can also deliver complex and cohesive albums. Stating her ground as a R&B Icon, Ari launches herself again into the (almost) unknown, some could say that... Grande just created her own style. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Positions is a good album, but I don't consider it one of the best. The instrumentals got saturated and sloppy, some songs are boring to listen to, she could have chosen the singles better, like "Positions", "Motive", "PoV" were great choices. the album doesn't motivate you to keep listening, plus the songwriting is boring. The album was badly publicized and lazy marketing. On the other hand, I liked "positions", "motive", I liked the photo shoot, I liked some partnerships, I liked the reception, I liked some other tracks. Expand

Este album es una versión mucho más madura de su antecesor, Ariana no tiene miedo a expresar su sexualidad a pesar de las críticas

Poor music production. everything feels all over the place and lazy. plus, even with 20+ songwriters and composers, the whole album is still unbearable to listen. Also, Ari should stop using trap as elements in her music. It feels so blackfishing and we are over with it. As a fan I'm disappointed

This album is perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to every track and it was the first time that I've fully enjoyed listening to an album. The production is of my favourite things about the album, it is so distinct to her previous albums. I really enjoy the r&b sound from this album, it reminded me of an r&b and soul album straight from the 80's. I like how she lost the pop sound and kept it to a minimum, after all, Ariana's r&b music is much better than her pop music and her voice is particularly suited for r&b and soul too. The lyrical content was interesting and fun which makes the album interesting. Lastly, the vocals on this album are amazing, the vocal production (which Ariana did herself) was breath taking. From the backing vocals to harmonies and ad-libs, this album might be her best vocally yet. In conclusion, this album is blissful and serene, Ariana has obviously matured as shown on the tracks and I appreciate her effort on this album. An absolute 10/10 album, and I'd recommend that everyone go stream it. Expand

By far Ariana's less commercial album for sure, but she nailed it perfectly! I think this is the genre that suits her the best.

Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

Grande laid bare may well be seen as a stopgap in her canon, using taboo to checkmate her past trauma, but it does pull off the rare feat of at least sounding effortless.

With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
