she is the most basic artist to exist, she doesn’t serve anything and never comes up with new music it’s giving old people music and the music is cringe!

This is Taylor Swifts best album. I did not think she could top lover l, but she did. This album is if you take 1989 and reputation and put them together. Meaningful lyrics with a catchy tune. Well done Taylor.

I get why people like Taylor Swift. Her lyrics are clearly personal, fairly unique, and relatable for a lot of people, but not me. I don't know what it is but she almost always leaves me emotionally cold, and I am someone that regularly gets chills listening to music.

Even though she styles herself as honest, her actual performance is never vulnerable enough for me to really connect.

Even though she styles herself as honest, her actual performance is never vulnerable enough for me to really connect. I'm sure she has it in her, so I always check out her new stuff to see if it happens this time.

Production wise, it's very cool - too cool. Not varied enough for me, but it is coherent and doesn't distract from the vocals too much, so this isn't a major issue.

Karma is very very catchy, I **** love it. It's also very peppy, and plays to Swift's strengths. I enjoyed the reference to Lykke Li too.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is what it would sound like if 1989 and reputation have been mixed. Dress is one song that can fit into midnighTS without any significant difference. The production, the songwriting and Taylor's vocals are so matured and developed and are on another level. The fact that Taylor managed to make it as a visual album is an outstanding milestone in her career.
Kinda disappointed when lana only did backing vocals on snow on the beach, but it's okay. I'm pretty sure they collabed even more lyricwise . And, i hoping that Taylor did a song in LDR10.

We might find in Swift's artistry some semblance of the ideas set forth o long ago, forgotten by our modern critical sentiments, only to be reusrrected by a genius of such repute as to be beyond all impeachment, criticiazem, or reproach; Swift has procen herself once again to be a gods amonst montrals in the field of music making in the moder erna. Let this stand for lla time as a memorial of our generation - of our common hopes, dreams, aspirations, frustrations, ad yes, our very souls and spirits. The zeitgesit of the modern era wil be inexoribly and illimitably changed and shaped by this, Ms. Swift's greatest achievement to date.

For all of that, the album still sux.

How do I explain this? I can't. When reputaion was realesed I sreamed: that is pop perfection. Midnights is Taylors perfection. Amazing synth pop melodies with Taylor deep lyricism are making this album... something else. Amzing expierience. Tak się robi świetny pop! Nie umiem pisać po angielsku kiedy czuję tyle emocji. Polecam.

Cute songs and some are actually good lyrically but nothing innovative and actually disappointing considering how it was anticipated. Just a mix, mashup, follow-up of the previous pop albums (1989, reputation, Lover). bonus tracks are somehow way better than the actual album, some recalling folkmore/evermore as well, but again, disappointing because you expect a masterpiece from TaylorCute songs and some are actually good lyrically but nothing innovative and actually disappointing considering how it was anticipated. Taylor did it again. Another beautiful album full of wonderful songs. For me, it’s a no skip album. I understand that people find the songs similar, but for me that’s not a problem. You just need to listen to it for a few times and then the songs are not similar at all. Don’t listen to the hates. Highlight of the year 2022.

I expected a sad 70s rock album. This was nothing what I expected. But I loved it anyway. Some of my new favorite songs are on this record. So different than her prior releases, I’m stunned how she’s able to shift between genres so effortlessly.

A return to the electro pop suits Taylor well. It has been great to take a step into folk land with Taylor but it feels even better to come back to this sound.

One of her strongest albums for sure :)

Interesting, the aesthetic is cohesive in all the album, and she play with new sounds in her voice, new instruments like synths. But overall she could change a little the path during the tracklist in a few listening (the times most all the people liaten to) the sounds can’t be seperate one from the order and you could get loose listening to it.

It allows Swift to do what she has always wanted: make an album for its own sake that is received primarily as a work of art instead of a commercial entity or tabloid fodder.

It is very good. ... There are no major missteps within the album, although not everything works as well as the album’s brightest spots.

While her 10th album doesn’t make instant classic status like 1989, and Evermore and Folklore remain her masterpieces, it is still an understated, beguiling look into the mind of one of the biggest pop stars of our age.
