Bangers after bangers— a stellar feat for Taylor Swift, for someone whose name was painted next with bright lights, showed so much versatility and ingenuity in her 10th album. Maintaining such momentum in this epoch is one for the books and, indisputably, Taylor and Midnights are one of the main topics.

While I believe the lead single Anti-Hero to be the most qualified to be the lead single (a vast improvement compared to Lover's ME! featuring Panic! at the Disco), the standout track of the great 13 has to be Vigilante **** leaning heavily to the album's reputation influence, giving it this mysterious, dark vibe that is quite different from the other tracks. My favorite has to be Maroon.

    Best Taylor album yet!
I never thought that there could be something better than 1989, but Taylor really surprised us with this whole new concept. The lyrics, the melodies, her voice, everything is different from what we were used to.
This album is an instant classic.

Midnights somehow captures the melodic beats of 1989 and the lyrical genius of folklore and evermore in an album that is in many ways more personal and honest than any work that precedes it. I have to say that this is my favourite album from her, and I'm excited to see wherever she goes to next year.

Taylor Swift managed to switch between genres and explore sounds like just a little group of people have been able to do so. And even with the album being announced in advance she managed to do a surprise drop. She truly is a mastermind.

Taylor Swift's return to pop reminded everyone she is still capable of being a pop star and still write song like a folk artist, every track is an interesting journey and it's a ton of fun in some points and hunting in others. Overall a great album with a lot of replayability

The album is good absolutely! However, after folklore and evermore it feels a bit underwhelming. The lack of bridges intertwined the cohesion just makes me feel like I’m listening to a 45 minute song. Not to say I dislike the record at all, Taylor is incapable of making a bad record. I must credit Taylor for being a bit more experimental in parts, it’s a great able just could be better. I fear it’s suffering from the same fate of Solar power or Chemtrails over the country club, great records that followed up from a timeless classic. Expand

She memorize her name as one of the most important and significant composers of this century. The profound lyrics combine with Jack Antonoff's production leads the listener to a double inner trip. It's a drowning on Swift' insecurities, happinesses, paranoias, dreamings and everything that happens during a insomnia. The album embraces what's more delicate in human feelings, it's easy to identify with the narratives that's being telled. It's a trip in Swift's mind while we drove into ours. The stories has beautiful and minimal sounds, differents if compared with the other albums. We can found elements of her lifetime as an artist, but all them are matching with maturement and the public listener that grew up with her. It's an album that'll easily connect generations and various types of personalities. Jack Antonoff leading the production has a especial match with Taylor, he has a greatest talent, a power of make big songs with few elements, the atmosfere of the album is reflexive, minimalist, some kind of dream pop and ludic as nights full of stories happening while we lay down our heads at our pillows. This album is one the most beautiful I've heard, I'm completely happy for Taylor's advance. Expand

Pop Taylor is back and it seems like she learnt from her mistakes from her last pop record, Lover, and brought over her awesome lyrics and melodies from folklore and evermore. Midnights is smooth and polished. A very solid album perfect for a late night listening.

The album really is a masterpiece. Even though it's pop sounding the lyrics do not suffer. The use of synths is immaculate

It allows Swift to do what she has always wanted: make an album for its own sake that is received primarily as a work of art instead of a commercial entity or tabloid fodder.

While her 10th album doesn’t make instant classic status like 1989, and Evermore and Folklore remain her masterpieces, it is still an understated, beguiling look into the mind of one of the biggest pop stars of our age.
