Interconnections are common to find such as the infamous perspective cycle of "cardigan", "august" and "betty". This character based album proves yet again why Taylor Swift is the artist of the 2010's.     Folklore is everything swifties wanted. The album itself tells a story about 3 people who had a love story. On reputation in the song Getaway Car it has the lyric with "three of us honey it's a slideshow" that lyric channels folklores theme.

In a streaming world consisted of mostly singles and EPS, “folklore” stands out as not just a musical masterpiece, but one that is perfect for this special time of quarantine to reflects on past life stories and emotions.     Un álbum magnífico de principio a fin, me encantaron las letras, y todas las historias que Taylor narra en cada una de sus canciones. Sin duda, uno de sus mejores trabajos y en un nuevo género para ella.
    Mis canciones favoritas hasta ahora son Mad woman, Cardigan , pero realmente todas son muy buenas.

    Folklore is the album 2020 needed. It captures the sublime, like a Mary Shelley novel. It's haunting, but absolutely perfect. There is artistry we know of Taylor, but it's on another level. Taylor's lyrics are haunting.

    My Tears Ricochet is a piece of beauty carved out of the side of the mountain that has been Reputation and Lover. Particularly Reputation (my personal favorite TS    Folklore is the album 2020 needed. It captures the sublime, like a Mary Shelley novel. It's haunting, but absolutely perfect. There is artistry we know of Taylor, but it's on another level. Taylor's lyrics are haunting.

    illicit affairs is a piece of beauty out of a heartbreaking situations. That album has the hook of a bridge we know and love from Taylor. The lyrics "Don't call me kid. Don't call me baby. Look at the idiotic fool you made me" have been stuck in my head.

    Epiphany somehow blends Monty Python references into a song that makes me lose it as soon as the first chorus starts. Taylor has made me cry, but never like epiphany. That song is on it's own level.

    betty is Taylor singing from a man's perspective. This just shows the pure artistry she has in her writing. It even sounds like something a 17 year old boy would write.

    cardigan is a great lead single, probably my favorite since Tim McGraw. It sounds like the album it still has that earworm hook in the line "Like an old cardigan, under my bed."

    Honestly I think this is her most solid body of work to date. I am so excited for the era of Alternative Taylor.    … Expand

I'll be honest, I don't really like Taylor's music but after hearing songs like cardigan, seven, my tears ricochet and epiphany, I just had to express how satisfied I am with this album. Do I love Taylor Swift endlessly? Mm, not really, but do I think that this album deserves all the success there is? YES. Brilliant album!

    My favorite album she’s released so far. No skips! I can’t recall one album that comes to mind that I can listen from start to finish without wanting to skip song. Bravo! What a great gift to give us during this pandemic! Trying to still narrow down top 3 songs and still can’t narrow it down! Although, EXILE is by far the stand out.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
