    This was hell of an experience. I mean it is one of her best work other than Red, 1989 and reputation. She takes the cohesiveness to a different level. The burst of emotions in every songs. I missed this lyrical intelligency of "THE TAYLOR SWIFT" in her last album. Her growth as an artist reflects through this album.

What I never expected was an album full of her raw talent, without filler tracks, without radio friendly pop singles for more casual listeners to enjoy and me crying my eyes out about the mostly fictional characters she writes about with such empathy. This sound and songwriting is what I‘ve always searched for in her previous albums and found in songs like Clean, The Archer, or the severely underrated It‘s Nice To Have A Friend. Now she managed to make an album full of her absolute best lyrics and musical decisions, reminiscent of previous works but different enough to feel like a whole new Taylor and one that is now truly free to do whatever she wants.     ‘folklore’ is far beyond any other record she has made till date and to think that she’s just 30! This record is massive in dimensions not accessed by any of her previous albums. The songwriting is tangibly vulnerable & as sharp as ever. The vocals are heart wrenching & very mature. Her ever evolving creative trajectory is impeccable & has reached a level that’s very hard to match.

    The record reinstates her faithful collaboration with music mogul Jack Antonoff & is just another reflection of what their explosive creativities coming together for the emergence of great music that will stand the test of time. Co-writing with Aaron Dessner from The National & the gutting duet with Bon Iver is one of the best things about the whole album.

    My highlights are ‘exile’, ‘august’, ‘this is me trying’, ‘illicit affairs’, ‘cardigan’ & quite obviously ‘hoax’ !!! (in no order)

    From the darkness in ‘mad woman’ to the sunshine in ‘betty’, the rain in ‘my tears richochet’, the autumn in ‘august’ & the winter in ‘hoax’ shows the very diverse landscape of the album. A theme that has strongly prevailed in her previous work as well.

    The timeline of the songs are not linear as they were in ‘reputation’ but this time there’s a puzzle hidden amongst the characters in different tracks!

    Heartiest congratulations Taylor for yet another fabulous record! Your creativity, relentless pursuit to self improvement & infectious passion are truly inspiring.

    This is literally the best album I’ve heard in my life and it shows so much growth as an artist from Taylor. Tracks like ‘betty’ reflect the sound of her first record, however with deeper lyrics and emotion. It is a huge leap from 2019’s ‘Lover’ but it was perfectly done.

    The most mature album of Taylor, where the melody and the lyrics do the talking, where she doesn't need to have the crutches of being a pop superstar and can just be the lyrical genius that she is.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
