Swift is probably the only artist at the moment who is able to write a new album almost all by herself (as usual) in only a few months and with a style she's never done before; and get as a result something beautiful that will be cherished by millions.     We cannot expect less from TS! I felt listening an audio book, involved in the story of Betty, James and Inés, her lyrics to Joe, the visiting in her childhood memories in "seven" (my favourite so far)... I'm speechless!
    Sometimes an artist need to breathe under its art and let their best come out. Thank you for this allay in such hard time.

I never skip a single song. My favorite songs would be exile featuring the phenomenal Bon Iver and August. Not to mention the video for cardigan is incredibly visually appealing and stunning.     Hands down Taylor’s best album to date. The way this album made me feel is unexplainable and the lyrics were immaculate. Anyone who rates it low clearly has internalised misogyny in their head and really badly do not want to like Taylor swift, but the reality of the situation is that this album is the best of the year and will win a few Grammys.

This album might not be as my most favorite she put out, but it holds a special place in my heart. I can't rank them now, maybe after a month or two, then I will try. At this point, my mind is still debating whether folklore or Speak Now is the better album (as you may not know, Speak Now is my most favorite album of hers). Rating: 10/10    … Expand

The songs are leading us throughout the journey, which audience would like to follow to know how it ends. First love, relationship complex, another love story but fragile, depression, revival, forgiveness. Each scene is told by different perspective. But aren’t we all human? Wouldn’t we want to be at the right side of the story? And wouldn’t we all want a happy ending?

    This album gave me more than music. It’s poems, stories, life thinking that I could relate myself to (without knowing their true identities). This is a soulmate I feel lucky that I have eventually found out. I’m so happy that I don’t have to skip or only focus to any specific songs because they are all connected. I was enchanted with the 1, Cardian. Be charmed again meeting mirror ball & august. Desperate with exile and my tears ricochet. Went to the bottom with this is me trying, mad woman.     One of the best alb- ... Actually the best album i've ever heard. It is a lyrical genius and poetry at its best. I think this album is the best thing Taylor Swift has ever done. Her imagination and creativity have reached at apex.

    Taylor Swift is a poet. She didn’t have to think about what song could be played in the radio or how the tour would be like. She just wrote songs how she liked them and it turned out to be perfect. The songs and stories are so emotional and brilliant!

    This album is her very first alternative album and no wonder she can slay in all genres. The album is not like 1989 or RED. it has this very special feeling that Taylor poured into. This album is very perfect, especially we are facing a pandemic. It is very soothing and calm and magical. Will rate this 13/10.

    Jack, too, is present and accounted for on “Folklore,” to a slightly lesser extent, and together Antonoff and Dessner make for a surprisingly well-matched support-staff tag team. Swift’s collabs with the National’s MVP clearly set the tone for the project, with a lot of fingerpicking, real strings, mellow drum programming and    Soft and chill. Ppl need this during their quarantine.

You can sense Antonoff, in the songs he did with Swift, working to meet the mood and style of what Dessner had done or would be doing with her, and bringing out his own lesser-known acoustic and lightly orchestrated side. As good of a mesh as the album is, though, it’s usually not too hard to figure out who worked on which song — Dessner’s contributions often feel like nearly neo-classical piano or guitar riffs that Swift toplined over, while Antonoff works a little more toward buttressing slightly more familiar sounding pop melodies of Swift’s, dressed up or down to meet the more somber-sounding occasion.    … Expand

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
