    Folklore is Taylor's most sonically and lyrically cohesive and most magical album to date. She explores the joys and pains of love and nostalgia, as well as an array of other themes. Her voice complements the folky, indie style of this album beautifully and the feature track with Bon Iver is a real treat. Another standout track is My Tears Ricochet, which is a self written masterpiece. SheFolklore is Taylor's most sonically and lyrically cohesive and most magical album to date.     im gonna get so much hate for this but folklore is not the album of the year, im sorry but she just isnt. she doesn’t deserve that title. im tired of y'all calling folklore the aoty when she's actually THE album of the decade.

    Amazing album, great work and different from anything Swift has done. It takes on a trip with the characters in the stories told in folklore.

    This album is great! I love how Taylor experiencing new genre;alternative. The production is very simple and Taylor's vocal is very fit. No autotune and lyrical genius.

I may never get what I want from her anymore (“1989” 2.0 is no more than a dream by now), but “Folklore” is what I and many other people strangely needed right now. It’s calm and peaceful, like an opposition to the growing fear and anger, which tear our society apart. It’s like a pure magic that Taylor managed to createThe only thing I want to say to Taylor right now is “thank you”.     For me it was like listening Taylor return to the roots of her early career but totally renewed, bringing a sound with aspects of country music and an alternative style with softly pop footprints, highlighting the feeling of what has been seen but never seen.     Possibly her best work to date, Taylor puts away with the synths and electro on this one and goes back to what she's best at. The songwriting is phenomenal and the stripped-down, acoustic production is even better.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
