Sonically diverse and lyrically beautiful. Folklores younger, upbeat sister. The perfect follow up sister album to continue the storytelling genius that is folklore. Taylor guides you into the album with “Willow” a song that feels as if it belongs in the mediaeval times. It pulls you on an adventure of loss, love, murder and finding truth.

i’ll give it a eight because there are perfect songs like no body no crime, gold rush, willow, marjorie and champagne problems. Although duets in this album and some other songs like closure, long story short, this damn season and cowboy like me are not good enough for me. I think Taylor Swift could have worked more on this album instead of releasing it 5 months later she released folklore.

Yet another Taylor Swift gem in the noise and deafening silence of 2020. Maybe not with the same impact that folklore had but with the same gut wrenching songwriting and even more experimentation.

I like the album so much. Truly it is the sister of "folklore." I very much like the lyrical composition, and it needs a lot of time to process the meaning and understanding of this album, like what we did to folklore. Certainly, this will be the Album Of The Year 2021, given the fact that it's a MASTERPIECE!

Been hearing that evermore is her sister? Anyway, this album was just masterpiece. Lyrics wise, like a **** poetry. From the opening of willow to the last lines of evermore. Wow. Justin Vernon pull those notes! That murder mystery storytelling with the Haim sisters (though mostly acted as background vocals), I was just floored. Este come out! Matt and Taylor’s voice fits perfectly and did I just hear Markus’ vocals on cowboy like me? The production of closure? Not all gonna vibe with that alt rock style, but yes! Love it. Happiness but with melancholic lyrics? The irony. And DorotheaAAAA! Marjorie just hit close to home. Tears. Literally. Ms Taylor Swift, I am grateful for this album. Thank you. Now I’m kind of wishing for a rock album by yours. Expand

she is proving everyday that she no longer cares about what the general public thinks, she cares about her fans the "swifties" gifting them (and by that mean) the world, a massive era of distraction and creative madness to forget all the anxiety of the modern covid world.

she is by far the most versatile artist "this town has ever seen" and by town i mean The Universe, because her music has tracended the ozone layer and its now an infinite rain of geniusly crafted art.

Folklore's litte siste proves to be everything and more. Not what we expected, not just what we needed for this holiday season and for the years to come, it proves to be a body of work of an artist who knows she's a legend and that this right right is going to become eternal, and a folklore for evermore.

Since she announced the album, I saw the pictures and it was obvious that Evermore was going to have a similar concept as Folklore. So I decided I was going to listen it without comparing it and I'm impressed, I really loved the album. I'm amazed by the Dressner brothers, Jack Antonoff and the talent behind the scenes. It is a soothing album, perfect for the times we're living.

Another lyrical masterpiece by Taylor Swift. It's beautiful. It is indeed sister to folklore. Sometimes even sadder. Evermore simply adds another diamond on Swift's crown.

country hits, synth pop, this album has it all. Swift’s lyrical ability shines in folklores sister album, as she once again pushes music boundaries with a gut wrenchingly beautiful album

folklore washed this one up, I'm so sorry...you had something to look forward to with folklore but with this one it got too repetitive and boring

There is only one current artist that can rival her previous most critically acclaimed album with something that is on the same level as that (or even higher) and her name is Taylor Swift

It is without question a wintering record, but out of this muted musical landscape songs of great and complex beauty emerge. [Mar 2021, p.34]

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
