Epic movie! A must watch for anyone that likes DC. They really did it, they gave us a movie that was worthy of the name. They gave the characters the depth they needed. Visually stunning and narratively satisfying from start to finish, it is not just best DCEU film of all time but also one of the best superhero film of all time...Joss whedon should be burned alive for butchering this masterpiece and ruining Snyder's vision in 2017..But true fans loves Snyder's epic vision for DCEU that's why they called out for this film in after whedon's disaster..Zack snyder delivered a perfect superhero film here,filled with some of the best visuals ever seen in a movie, eye popping effects, stunning cinematography, eargasmic soundtrack by junkie XL and breathtaking action scenes ZSJL is everything you ever hoped for and even more then it looks initially..This film proved again that Ben affleck and Henry cavill are best Batman and Superman of all time..Jared Leto as joker steals the show, steppenwolf is monster looking warrior from other world who just wants to invade earth for his own personal reasons, darkseid is an evil tyrant lurking in shadows of different side of universe..This film also works as an origin story for cyborg, he is struggling to find his place in the world torn apart between his human and mechanical identity... Batman became a hero again after spending years in rage and hate ,here he is a hero and leader who is honouring Superman after his death via defending this world, the killer vengeful version from BvS is long gone.. wonder woman is helping humanity and continuing her duty to defend the world.. flash is trying to be a hero who wants to help people and still learning about his powers...aquaman is also struggling between his human life and atlantean heritage as a king, and finally heart and soul of DC Superman...In mos we've seen an alien trying to find his place in the world,in BvS we've seen a conflicted hero who is struggling and finding how to be a hero.but in ZSJL we've seen a true Superman who finally became a hero and ultimate protector of earth .An ideal to strive towards...Even side characters like Lois,Martha,Silas,desaad,martian manhunter, joker got small but meaningful part...At last I just want to say this is the movie we've been waiting for our life....If you don't loved this movie don't call yourself as a DC fan....It's time to restore the snyderverse now because without ZACK SNYDER and a complete JUSTICE LEAGUE TRILOGY DCEU is nothing and will fail soon again...Only a full snyderverse on HBO max can save DC now.... This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't exaggerate when I say that Zack Snyder's Justice League is my new favorite movie. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough Darkseid, but outside of that, there isn't really anything wrong with this movie to me.

To the critics who say the movie is too long, and say that the first hour of the movie is really sluggish, they are wrong, as I went through it really fast without realizing it. The movie is the perfect length for what it wanted to do.

There was even a surprise or two that got me really excited.

Pat yourself on the back, Zack Snyder. I hope the Snyderverse gets restored. This is easily your best work.… Expand

JL Snyder Cut brings together Man of Stee, BvS, WW, and even a less liked Aquaman movie and makes each individual part better than the original. It added depth to movies which were already completed and falling to obscurity with years of misdirection from Warner Brothers. WB fought for some reason so much against creating that shared universe, its a hard thing to do but rewarding for the studios and fans alike when it does happen. But it happened, after the fact, with a nudge from Snyder of some crazy fans. Instead of embracing this success, all-star cast, and years of already laid out compelling story archs, Warner Brothers is deciding to push ahead with reboots, and some random ass side stories without finishing the groundwork. Ok. After years of bragging about the next DCEU movie after all the rewrites and cancelations and failures, everyone who I spoke to who watched it was finally on board. Warner Brothers must have a vendetta against making money, or movies destined to become all time classics or both?… Expand

The Snyder Cut is just as good as Civil War or Endgame, and almost as good as Infinity War. The Snyder Cut elevates the other movies in the Snyderverse by tying them together.

Snyder has righted the wrongs and made an epic movie with much more emotion and story telling. The four hours flew by and I'm already watching a second time, one hour per night and I don't anticipate it being the last time I watch it. Well done ZS

So many problems from the old film was fixed and more depth was added to help make the movie more entertaining. The characters in the movie were given a good amount of screen time, enough for them to present themselves and us a reason to care for these characters. The flash and cyborg in my opinion were the biggest highlights of every scene as their characters were used to convey a strong message throughout the movie while also letting us know that we as people aren't alone and that I find to be very impactful especially during a time where most of the world seems to be divided. Just an impactful and beautiful film that I would mind rewatching every once a month. Thank you everyone who helped bring this joyful event and thank you Zack Snyder for giving us a film that will always be remembered and talked about. Watching this film I think you’ll find there was the bones of a great film in the 2017 version of Justice League that was butchered by Joss Whedon. The stuff he did that I hated was obviously not in this film. The stuff he did that I hated was obviously not in this film. But the stuff by Snyder that I thought was bad about the 2017 version was completely changed by simply fleshing it out further.

The 3rd act, though largely the same, put way more emphasis on the unity of the team and how they needed to work together in order to win. This was much more satisfying after the character building over the course of the film, giving us appropriate backstories for Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg.

Flash was still the source of comedy in the script, but wasn’t reduced to a joke.  Zack has often said Cyborg was the heart of his movie and that couldn’t be a more true statement.

Plenty of fan service while still giving the critics the lighter tone they were wanting, the film was always intended to be a step out of the dark from the characters low points in Batman v Superman, a film I think will be received better in the context of the character arc given with this film.

The 4 hour run time didn’t feel like it wasted any time, but the at the film is neatly broken into chapters will be largely a good thing for mass consumption. This will be a good option for me wanting to rewatch the film on my break at work in parts in the future.

Cutting Ryan Choi from the 2017 edition of the film was a disgrace he is a gem.

Ultimately i’m going to need a few rewatches in order to decide where this film sits for me in the 3 story Superman arc Zack Snyder created, but that’s expected, there is a lot to digest.… Expand

The fact that this has a 54 is baffling. The movie was amazing, it truly is a masterpiece. It's something we deserved in 2017. Warner Bros. You've got to continue Zack Snyder's legacy. It's what we need.

As a fan, this better version of the Justice league blew my mind. I wish this was the version I watched years ago at theater. I enjoyed every second of this 4 hour movie. This story has action, pain, heart & hope. I appreciate the director’s vision so much more now seeing this story come together. While I love all the characters, Cyborg got time to shine in the directors cut, everyone did. And that speed force shot...I don’t know how we were not given this film sooner. Zack Snyder's Justice League, the original vision that Zack had about the movie, and What a Vision it is! It has a lot more character development than Joss Whedon's Justice League (or Josstice League if you prefer that) Cyborg feels like anZack Snyder's Justice League, the original vision that Zack had about the movie, and What a Vision it is! It has a lot more character development than Joss Whedon's Justice League (or Josstice League if you prefer that) Cyborg feels like an Important character his back story is explored more. It' easier to connect to him. His relationship with father makes a lot more sense and generally he feels a lot more like "HE IS IN THE MOVIE".
Flash feels has a lot more importance. He is not Just saving a Russian Family . Steppenwolf looks badass villain as He Should have From the get go. He has a back Story. He is not just Evil. You have an idea of why he is doing what he is doing, Darkseid is there and I personally think he doesn't look good... but he is there.( Thanos didn't look good from the get go with) And thing that I love about this movie is how the significance of Superman is portrayed and because of that his resurrection make a lot more sense. Superman doesn't fell overpowered and the Justice League feels like a team. The humour has been pumped down ehich makes sense as the movie is dark Flash is the only one making jokes and it doesn't feel 'tagged on', It's just a better movie in every aspect. Yes, It is 4 hours long but it feels a lot shorter than that. It's also good to see Movie Studios giving freedom to the Creators and caring about what fans Think, I think It's a must watch. The whole 4 hours kept me hyped and wanting to know what's next. I do remember the 2017 Justice League, but it seemed to me like two EXTREMELY DIFFERENT movies. I watched it as if I've never seen the 2017 JL before. And it's great! I finally understood lots of plots that were put into the story, I finally saw my favorite characters at their best. And I've finally got this satisfying feeling that JL got on the same level as Avengers. Anyhow, so many characters and surprising moments, so many plots and explanations...and so many epic scenes that it really made me wish for more! Amazing work, Zack! The cast, score and action scenes are excellent. Extraordinary, incredibly moving, epic, this is the path the DCEU must take. It is a serious, dark film, but at the same time full of faith, hopeful and persevering, I think it manages to leave the latter as a message, it is a film made with heart. You can see Snyder's love for the characters and for his work, he is in all his splendor. Snyder definitely gave his all with this movie and I hope he can continue with this universe.… Expand

Wow this gave me clarity. I have always been a DC fan but the theatrical version tried too hard to be Avengers. Now I hope Warner Bros. gets inspired to keep Snyder, and other casts, Affleck and Cavill, return in the next JL movie.

This film is not perfect, but honestly, it is my favorite in the DCEU. The extra exposition and character focus, without the creep factor that was added by Whedon meant a very enjoyable film I have seen 4 times now, and I still enjoy it. Yes, 4 hours can be hard to sit through, but if you can do it, it's beyond worth it.

Spoiler Alert from here on out:
Nearly every character is way better than in the theatrical version. Wonder Woman is not sexualized or forced to be grounded, instead reflecting the Amazonian goddess that she is. Lois Lane went from having an uncomfortable discussion with Martha Kent about Clark to genuinely being depressed due to his death. Aquaman isn't used for cheap laughs, Flash is much funnier (and doesn't need to land on Wonder Woman for cheap laughs). Superman actually has time to regain his memory after being revived, and undeniably the biggest change was Ray Fisher's Cyborg. He is and will always be the live action Cyborg to enjoy. He has a story, his technological enhancements from the Mother Box are explained.… Expand

I think this is a greatest comeback of DC universe that I have ever seen! I love this movie because all the characters had been reopened and rethinked in a new roles. First of all, i salute to all the fans who made this movie possible. I'm not a DC geek myself but i do know quite a bit about the characters and the movies. My experience with the DCEU has been somewhat mixed. I liked wonder woman, only sawFirst of all, i salute to all the fans who made this movie possible. I'm not a DC geek myself but i do know quite a bit about the characters and the movies. My experience with the DCEU has been somewhat mixed. I liked wonder woman, only saw man of steel in parts, liked batman vs superman, except for the "Martha" scene of course. But i did not like Joss Whedon's version of the justice league (JOSSTICE LEAGUE) that came out in 2017. It felt like Warner Brothers were blatantly trying to imitate Marvel which i absolutely was not a fan of.It had cringeworthy jokes, the cgi was bad, and a lot of cheesy dialogues. I felt no connection with any of the characters and really disliked flash ( felt like spiderman),and coming to Steppenwolf (more like steppenpup) he just looked so boring, did not look terrifying at all. but my biggest gripe about the movie was that it did not feel like a team. It felt like only superman had done something in the movie (who was super OP by the way). Others had no significant amount of impact. Finally, after seeing this mediocre piece of filmmaking, i decided to give up on dceu. And then came the news that there was zack snyder's version of the movie,but i was least bothered. But then came the teasers and the trailers, after which i was hyped (never thought i'd be hyped for an extended version of a movie, or so i thought) for the movie.But now, after seeing Snyder's vision, i can clearly tell you that this felt like a whole another movie. Sure, it is long and all, but the length wasn't even any problem for me. Every character felt fleshed out, especially cyborg, and i really liked the flash this time around. The moments from the previous film felt earned here, and everbody had an impact in this movie. I really never understood why WB decided to cut all of this footage and be like "this is fine". And the antagonist, Steppenwolf, really felt like a villain. His prescence was terrifying, and he actually had a motive. So, for me, the snyder cut improved upon the original in many ways - character development, great antagonist, and a really good soundtrack etc. But coming to the cons, i only have a few, and they are the slow motion shots (Seriously Zack?). There were some cool shots in the movie, but i felt like it was overused. I also found some dialogues weird (like I BELONG TO NO ONE! , the 2017 one had the better dialogue there) and some scenes which could be cut. Finally, to sum it all up, this is the movie that dc fans have been thriving for, and it definitely lives up to the hype.

This is what DC can do to EQUALLY compete with Marvel in future life action movies. So, SO much better than the 2017´s Frankenstein! It maintains the DC spirit at its core, beautiful atmosphere (dark and dusty), strong characters and an understandable and coherent story. Four hours fully enjoyable for all DC fans.

His vision of DC is really dark and out of the ordinary superherowise, serious and grown-up, I recommend when you are ready to give up on colorful superhero movies, watch this one, if you are there to enjoy a fun ride, this movie is not for you, if you want to have a fun time watch TGOTG or Avengers.
