Its just ok. Nothing very special or mind blowing. Tom Holland is being used in so many movies that is getting a bit boring in my humble opinion. It’s probably better to wait to watch it on Netflix or other subscription services.

As an action adventure movie, it was actually an amazing experience. Lots of big scenes and atmospheric locations I wished were in the game. Uncharted: Just like every video game movie I’d rather play the game. But that doesn’t mean it was bad, I actually had a good time in the movie. Mark Wahlberg as Sully came as a surprise but he was also very good, he and Tom had great on screen chemistry and it worked. All the other members are really good to, but this is taking liberty’s of I want to say the first three in particular I mean Nate does wear his Uncharted 4 outfit but there’s obviously the plane setpiece which was the best part, and there’s tons of Easter eggs like NOLAN NORTH showing up as a cameo which was just awesome. The action is Uncharted and when I say it gets crazy it really does get crazy especially the finale. Sure I would rather play the games but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have any fun, it’s a great cheesy movie and fun popcorn movie just turn your brain off and enjoy this badass ride. En pocas palabras podría decir que esta película trata sobre “Un grupo de personajes sin dimensiones contra otro grupo de personajes sin dimensiones por nada”. Al decir que sus personajes no tienen dimensiones, me refiero a que el desarrollo que les intentan dar, termina por volverse totalmente vacío, solamente por darle giros de tuerca a la historia que terminan siendo totalmente predecibles y contradictorios. Literalmente son personajes cualesquiera que con el pasar de la película, de la nada adquieren habilidades por conveniencia de la trama y sin ninguna explicación en la mayoría de las veces.
La trama, como ya mencioné antes, se desarrolla en base a situaciones ridículamente convenientes y que generan bastante pena ajena que en realidad intentaban generar un impacto en el espectador. Sin mencionar que todo el tiempo intenta ser una comedia, pero tomando en cuenta que nadie se reía en la sala, es obvio que fracaso eso, yo solo me reí con un chiste de “Hidalgo” que pocos entenderán.
Las actuaciones estuvieron regulares, mientras que los efectos especiales, no son malos, pero si sientes en todo momento que nada es real, sin embargo, hubo un par de tomas y secuencias que se veían bastante bien.… Expand

Chloe Frazer (Sophia Ali) Com pouco tempo de tela, ela não sabe o que fazer na vida, fazendo com que a gente esqueça dela. E os vilões? só esquece. Atuações: Bem já vi piores mas esse é bem mediano, Antônio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle e Tom Holland não fizeram um bom trabalho, Sophia Ali e Mark Wahlberg foram bem medíocre. Direção e Trilha sonora: A direção foi o único ponto "positivo" porque as cenas de ação bem ruinzinhas e bobas mas a direção melhora um pouco.
A trilha sonora são umas musicas "populares" chatas e um remix da musica original.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have to say, it's not a bad adventure movie by any means, if you haven't played the games this will be a good adventure movie. Is it an Uncharted movie based off the Uncharted games? No. There's a lot of inaccurate parts of this movie that is not true to the games storyline. For example the fact that Sam gave Nate, Sir Francis Drake's ring in the movie. In the game it was Nate that found Sir Francis Drake's ring not Sam. Also in the movie it was Victor Sully that met Sam first before he met Nate, however in the game Sully met Nate first when Nate was only 13 at the time. Again they're taking parts of the games but not being accurate to the games at all. I give this movie an average 5 out of 10. It's a fun adventure movie, with great actors with awesome scenes and actions. But this is nothing like the Uncharted games at all. Now I thought this movie was suppose to be the story before Uncharted 1 game, because if you do follow the storyline. Nate and Sully did several adventures before the main games came out. That was when Nate first met Chloe before he met Elena, which in the movie that was accurate. So I thought the movie was going to go with that storyline, again it would've been accurate for that timeline, Nate would've been in his mid 20's and Sully would've been in his early 50's which is the exact ages of the actors in the movie. But no they took parts of Uncharted 1, 2 and 3, mashed them all in one movie, that made no sense at all. In conclusion this movie is great and fun if you never played Uncharted, but if you are an Uncharted fan, just be warn you maybe a little disappointed.… Expand

The biggest draw of the whole movie was the pacing. You don't wait too long for anything. It sucked me in right from the start and didn't let go until the end. The action was great and there was plenty of it. Something was constantly happening and it even worked in the finale except for the ending, which although was great on the action side, I didn't like much on the story side. It was good, but it was too fast. At the end the pace could have slowed down a bit and finished the story properly and speaking of the plot, it was... how can you say. Not to mention the gameplay was good, but from the perspective of someone who's played all four episodes, it's probably a bit of a pain. There are a few changes to the script. Personally, I think either the movie shouldn't have followed the story of the game at all and made it their own, or if they did follow the game, they should have made it accurate. It's a shame. It's a bit of a mess. But what threw the movie off the most for me was the character of Sully, which I didn't think matched the in-game one, and that was a bit annoying in places for a fan of the franchise. To sum it up. If you go into the movie thinking you haven't played the games, I think this will be a good action flick for you. If you go to the movie as a player of the franchise, you'll probably have some things to fault it for. But I still enjoyed the movie as an Uncharted gamer and consider it one of the better game adaptations. For me, a good movie that I recommend to action enthusiasts and as for gamers, I would recommend the movie to those who are able to ignore the game at times and forgive some changes.… Expand

As a huge longtime fan of the Uncharted Series, this movie is amazing. Any fan like myself would love this movie. I don't know why this movie exists.

The pacing is all over the place. For a movie based on an action/adventure video game series there is a surprising amount of nothing happening. Tom Holland just doesn't work as Nathan Drake. He looks likeI don't know why this movie exists.

Tom Holland just doesn't work as Nathan Drake. He looks like a teenager. Mark Wahlberg is playing himself like in any other movie.
The main villain is a joke.
The CGI is ok for 2008, I guess. Except for the parkour. The parkour looks more realistic in the video games.

I'd stay away from this. It has been done before, much better. It's called Indiana Jones.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I enjoyed a smidge more than half the film such as witnessing the arduous visuals, action sequences, and international antagonists that are at the same level as the games that I highly admire.

I obviously had some flaws with this flick such as making Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan look younger, Elena's absence, and some of the jokes that do not make me smirk identically in the games. The one time I most definitely smirked was when a cast member made a cameo. What this film lacks is that in the video games there was always a plot twist in the final chapter/act such as the truth behind Drake's mission and him doing some thinking for his own to put an end to the mutiny, making me nickname Nathan Drake "Nothin' Muckrake." Another flaw that this movie has is the pasting of environments from the games and the movie not originating a set that feels like I'm re-watching a cutscene from one of the games.

To top it off, this film is like a summer blockbuster released in February that is enjoyable to sit through but concerned about the story.… Expand

I'm going to be honest, I didn't know what to expect from this, from the trailers it looked like your typical action-adventure but you never know from video games adaptions given their not-so-good track record but I'm glad to say I enjoyedI'm going to be honest, I didn't know what to expect from this, from the trailers it looked like your typical action-adventure but you never know from video games adaptions given their not-so-good track record but I'm glad to say I enjoyed this for the most part.

The performance from Tom Holland as Nathan Drake was good, really it was never gonna be a spot on reflection from the games but as the feel is concerned Tom Holland put in a good performance that makes you feel he is playing Nathan Drake in this case a younger Nathan Drake from the games, and that's all I wanted cause I was concerned he was gonna simply act as himself or a typecast of Peter Parker (not saying he does this is all his movies as he has proven to be a very good actor, especially from his acting roles from No Way Home, Cherry or Devil All The Time) but that wasn't the case as he goes do a decent job of portraying Nathan's charm, humor, confidence and off-brand witt from the games.

However, although I did enjoy seeing Mark Wahlberg as Sully onscreen I felt like his portrayal of Sully was a mixed bag goes he goes in and out of the role. For example, when he is first introduced in the movie he does do a decent job in playing Sully(a young version of him I keep forgetting lol) and genuinely puts in effort but in some parts of the movie it seems like he just acts as himself(the loud talking, quick witted and often erratic roles Mark Wahlberg is known for) and that might rub some fans the wrong way, I wouldn't say he was miscast but it was jarring to see but his saving grace was the chemistry with him and Tom Holland as Sully and Nathan was charming and very good and captured their banter and mirrored their relationship in the games quite a bit. Antonio Banderas although it is a joy to see him on screen he plays your generic bad guy who has Daddy issues and kills without a thought and that was disappointing so see, also Tati Gabrielle who played another villain showed some signs of being a badass was just another generic bad guy weak motivations. Also, Sophia Ali as Chloe was decent and she worked well with Tom and Mark.

The Story is nothing special as it's your typical adventure/treasure hunt but the games were really never known for their storytelling but its unique characters, set pieces and epic action-adventure and although the movie isn't perfect in hitting all those notes it does do a good job of capturing the set pieces and adventure aspect of the games to a decent amount and you can see Sony did their homework and put some care into this project and it's quite entertaining to watch on screen. Although predictable at times, especially some of the twists and turns that the movie tries but you could see from a mile away it had heart to the story as you follow Nate's journey and his motivation to find treasure and his lost brother. Even though it does hit some of the same notes from adventure movies you've seen before I was entertained still cause of the characters mostly Nathan and Sully, the humor was actually pretty well balanced and not forced and funny for the most part. The visual effects and CGI were spot on I mean Sony rarely disappoints on the visual effects on its high-budget movies. The pacing, for the most part, was decent was well balanced but at times it felt kinda slow but it wasn't a major problem and the action was decent and there were some memorable stunts too especially from Tom Holland's action set-pieces as Nathan Drake, especially in the third act was enjoyable and high energy and some pretty decent nods and references to the games too.

So as I stated Uncharted at the end of the day is not the Perfect video game adaption that will blow everyone's mind but considering the low amount of good video game movies I'm glad this is a decent movie that I rather enjoyed from the performances from Tom Holland and his chemistry with Mark Wahlberg as Nathan and Sully, the humor and mostly entertaining action and set pieces. Although generic at times this is a success for Sony and a step in the right direction for the future of Video Game Movie adaptions.… Expand

Yet another video game movie we didn't want or need. Tom Holland plays, Tom Holland next to Mark Wahlberg who looks like he'd rather be somewhere else. Horrible casting, generic writing and basically a massive insult to a great series of games.

I can't really say its a good script therefore. The pacing is uneven, we start in an action scene so we spend the next hour just eagerly anticipating that action scene to return, we lose track of everything else because its not what we care about. Holland and Walberg do have chemistry, even if they aren't right for the roles. Can't say I look forward to the future of this franchise, and whilst I stand behind the fact that this is not a good film. Atleast it can be entertaining one, and there is a lot worse it could've done.… Expand

Interestingly, Wahlberg was originally supposed to play the younger role, but time took its toll, so Holland shows off his newly-pumped torso 3 times, while Wahlberg dons a tank top. As for the adventure aspects, anyone who's willing to accept the absurdly improbable plot will have lots of action scenes to take their minds off the implausibility of it all (unless you rely on video game logic). The pace never lags and some of the visuals are grand, but the whole thing feels forced and hokey. NOTE: Stay thru the early credits for one final scene that sets up the sequel.… Expand

And it was obviously not a masterpiece, but still pretty damn fun. The plane cargo scene was a great nostalgia trip of one of the best scenes in the whole Uncharted series (In uncharted 3). And Tom Holland is just a nice charismatic guy. But to me he didn't fully feel like Nathan Drake. He felt like Spiderman dressing up as Nathan Drake and hunting treasure. But every now and then I would hear him say something that I can imagine Nathan Drake saying. But Mark Wahlberg as Sully, didn't really work for me. Sully in the games is a grumpy old man who has a soft spot for Nathan Drake. But here he is missing the iconic cigar and moustache and beard. He's also a bit of a d*ick in this film to be honest. All he cares about is money, and while you could say that about Sully from the games, as I mentioned earlier he has a soft spot for Nate. Also the first villain, the Spanish guy is honestly pretty uninteresting. He feels mostly uninteresting, and is so forgettable he just gets killed an hour before the film even finishes. And the other antagonist, the combat lady is also pretty boring if you ask me. I honestly would not mind if Harry Flynn or Lazarevic from the games popped up. Seeing just an insane treasure hunting Russian man would be pretty fun. Even though this is kind of a prequel, and Lazarevic only shows up in a few years, whatever, In think it would still be fun. As mentioned before, the action is pretty great. Also Chloe Frazer is pretty underused. She's a great character in the games, but here she shows up, betrays Nathan, and then disappears for the final act of the film. The best scene in this entire film is easily the Nolan North cameo on the beach, I laughed the hardest at that part compared to anything else. Still, a fun action film about treasure. I recommend for Hardcore fans.… Expand

This of course would be ok for me as fan of the franchise if the changes made here were in benefit of a better narrative, but it's not really the case. The narrative and plot progression of this movie is far more trivial than that in the games, and the changes made seem not to be taken advantage of, which makes that choice on doing so pretty pointless. The action in alright, the acting too, Tom Holland portrays decently what could have been a pre-Drake's Fortune (young adult) Nathan Drake, but the movie doesn't make justice to the game series unfortunately.… Expand

Mark is just a painfully obvious bad choice for Sully. It's frustrating that they chose these two people. It seems like they chose Tom Holland just because he's popular. He didn't give me Nathan Drake vibes at all. I also hated that they made Tom seem very dumb many times throughout this film. Nathan Drake isn't a genius, but he certainly isn't dipsey dumb like a stereotypical blonde. Dude can remember and reiterate historical events and knows geographical areas where treasure could be for thousands of years, but then doesn't know about an earpiece or says obviously dumb things??? That makes no sense. They seem to do that with Tom Holland in many movies, like spiderman. I don't get it. It's overdone and boring. I will never watch this movie again. I really hope they remake it properly. It seems like companies don't put their passion, love and soul into movies anymore. Should have had someone who loved Uncharted passionately to help make this movie. Some scenes were cool though. Some scenes were extremely implausible and it seemed like they were just made so they can slap some "amazing" CGI. I called this happening when they announced this film.… Expand

I actually felt Tom Holland was a great cast as a young Nathan Drake. Mark Wahlberg on the other hand less so... I still saw some Sully moments in him but, my main complaint with the whole movie is really Sully feeling like generic Mark Wahlberg.

But really this movie I don't understand why some people hate it so much and it's probably mainly because it's a video game adaptation. It's a 2-hour movie for a video game franchise that's typically a 15ish hour run time. It didn't really have the time to establish what the video games have done. But that's still no real excuse but I honestly feel like the future for video game adaptations is tv shows after watching Arcane and I think this would've made a great web series which I can point to the Nathan Fillion fan-made short film to prove that.

But overall I give this movie an 8 out of 10 when you come into this understanding it's not Uncharted but it's based on Uncharted and kind of having cautiously optimistic expectations it's still just a really fun movie that anyone can really enjoy, if you have a non-gamer girlfriend and you want to show her Uncharted take her to this movie, I'm sure she'll love it, not just because of Tom Holland but because it's really fun.… Expand

Solid funny adventure film.
The director Ruben Fleischer might not be the best, but the cast did their best and moved the movie forward. I look forward to more Uncharted movies

I felt the writing was the biggest downfall of the movie with the story being pretty generic, the dialogue feeling kinda unnatural at times, and there lacking pretty much any character development. Much better than I thought. This is an origin movie. So I imagine the sequel will be a little more free to improve on verdin aspects of the plot. They missed the mark with the movie's score. And suddenly 15 years later and 25 years old Nate meets Victor, but in the original game it happened at 15 years old (if I'm not mistaken). Nate works in a bar and steals from a rich woman the girl's necklace, which Sully took for Nate to come and join his team of 1.5 people.Then they go to the auction together to steal part of the key. And you won't believe they "fail", but relatively. They fly to Barcelona, where they meet Chloe (I remind you that Nate is 25 years old) They are looking for gold there and find only their approximate location.The black screen and that scene on the plane. Sally manages to escape, and Nate stays and throws him on the boxes just like in the 3rd uncharted, and then, when he is about to kill the main antagonist, he is hit by the car in which Chloe was sitting. And here they are together in 1 room at the hotel. Nate searches all night for exactly where the gold is and finds. Writes to Chloe other coordinates to which she safely swam by throwing Nate. Sally finds Nate and they are flying on a ship, a shootout and a helicopter explosion. And the movie ends. Worst selection actors for the heroes of the film based on the film adaptation of this masterpiece series of games.… Expand

Great start for Playstation Studios, the movie was fun to watch, really like how they pick Tom Holland to portray young Nathan Drake, at first I wasn’t convinced but after comparing him to young Nathan from Uncharted 3, I can now understandGreat start for Playstation Studios, the movie was fun to watch, really like how they pick Tom Holland to portray young Nathan Drake, at first I wasn’t convinced but after comparing him to young Nathan from Uncharted 3, I can now understand why they did. The movie had it wings to fly and to be something else apart from the games, I felt the plane scene unnecessary because felt like yeah, I have it seem before. And yeah, they shoud have put Sully the mustache since the beginning of the film.… Expand
