It's a family good time. Way better than the last movie from the 1990s going to see it for the 3rd time. So many Easter eggs. 2 end credit scenes so don't leave until the lights come on and the screen is off

What a movie!! It’s enjoyable for anyone, fan or not, probably the best adaptation of a game to a movie, very glad with Nintendo that made this masterpiece, I fully recommend it.

It's an excellent movie, the animation is undoubtedly beautiful and the world they have created is simply fantastic. I really liked the additions of characters and some extra details that are not part of the video games. I really liked the additions of characters and some extra details that are not part of the video games. I thought there would be many jokes or comedic situations, but in the end, I think they have found an appropriate balance. The music is undoubtedly beautiful, with a variety of musical references from the first NES game to the latest Odyssey. There are several licensed music themes that are great, although quite unexpected for me, it felt a bit strange, but overall, it's very good. I loved the voice acting, and honestly, I don't think you can ask for anything better. Bowser and Peach are probably the best.

As for the story, what can I say? Did anyone really expect anything more? It's very simple, and that's it, like any Mario game in general. In my opinion, it perfectly fulfills its purpose, although I think the duration of the movie is a bit short. I would have appreciated a few more scenes before the end.

If you like Super Mario or have played any of its games, you will surely love this movie. It perfectly captures the essence of the franchise without taking too many risks but delivering what a fan wants to see. And if you haven't played any of the games, I recommend giving it a chance because I consider the work done on this project to be, at the very least, noteworthy and well done.… Expand

Nunca hay un momento silencioso y nunca se necesita uno, siendo sincero. A pesar de lo apresurada que resulta ser la película, y a veces, complicada que es de seguir por la cantidad de información simultánea, reconociendo que su razón es la poca duración de la misma, su línea cronológica está bien organizada.

La calidad musical, una vez más, es complementariamente eficiente. Decenas de temas de antaño utilizados en entregas pasadas, así como música licenciada no perteneciente al mundo de Nintendo sigue encajando en cada escena, y acomoda muy bien el sentimiento.

La calidad de animación, la calidad de los personajes y de los escenarios es impecable, organizada muy eficientemente a pesar del color masivo que trae un personaje como Mario al mundo cinematográfico, y manteniendo un cariño a los ojos de tanto los niños como los jóvenes y adultos observando. Nunca es molesto de ver, incluso cuando los colores son intensos y brillantes, lo cual es de respetar, especialmente sabiendo que este trabajo es de Illumination, donde sus habilidades son obviamente excepcionales.

Los diálogos fueron muy buenos, con exceptuación de situaciones con personajes como "Cranky Kong", donde varias de las líneas resultaban poco acomodables a la situación e, incluso, innecesarias en un par de casos. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser y Donkey Kong, por otro lado, no tuvieron casi ninguna línea de diálogo mal colocada. Es más, varias líneas agregaron más color y gusto a las escenas, creando un humor respetuoso, responsable y muy bien recibido tanto de la audiencia infantil como la adulta. Lumalee, por un último lado, fue una adición interesante, pero no muy útil para ningún aspecto de la película. Fue implementado de manera extraña e incluso incómoda por el hecho de que no aporta casi ningún cambio. Sus líneas fueron planas con un propósito de negatividad (El cual encajó con la situación, pero solo fue útil para añadir humor, el cual fue implementado desde los personajes externos a Lumalee: "Los Pinguinos").

La historia fue bien estructurada. Utilizaron varios aspectos de los juegos para crear una línea cómica, interesante, simple y muy bien planeada para crear explicación a varias incógnitas, tales como la razón del por qué Bowser odia a Mario, y por qué Mario querría salvar el "Reino Champiñón". A pesar de su buena implementación, sigue siendo algo... Simple. Un poco muy simple, a decir menos. Sabiendo que no solo dura una hora y media, sino que también es una película animada para audiencia infantil, la historia se notó muy plana a pesar de eso. Bien pensado, pero no muy bien plasmado.

En una escala del 1 al 10, 8.5 es la calificación que mejor coloco a la película, pero conociendo que esta escala es de 1 a 5 estrellas, 4 son las que mejor la representan.

Muy recomendable, especialmente:
-Se ve mejor en familia por razones un poco obvias.
-Es re-visitable con la cantidad de referencias, cameos, detalles y calidad general.
-Interesante, divertida y colorida, fácil de ver y de disfrutar para todo público que, por lo menos, ha jugado siquiera uno de los juegos originales, pues las referencias abarcan una amplia lista de ellos… Expand

As a very big fan of the Super Mario franchise, I absolutely loved this movie. It has one of the greatest and most powerful soundtracks I've ever heard of any movie, with tons of throwbacks to music from the games. In all, this movie is a 10/10 life changing experience that I feel anyone, Mario fan or not should experience at least once in their life. It's definitely my favorite movie, and a wild ride that I will never forget. Thank you Nintendo, and thank you Illumination for putting such care and effort into making this long-awaited film based on such an iconic series that has been a big part of my life ever since I was in elementary school. If the movie was 30 minutes longer, I might not have had that complaint. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the heck out of it. It's such a charming and energetic film and I had a great time watching it. 9/10

Okay so I absolutely loved this film I did I laughed out loud several times and it made me happy the story zoomed on like a Mario race and the plot did too such a wonderful treat the action level here was extremely high which while good for a 33 year old man like myself it could be bad for littles also theres alot of peril here so please parent remember it's not rated PG for nothing and a trip to the snack bar may possibly be in order on more than one part but aside from that the perfect Easter film… Expand

How can I explain the Mario movie it's perfect the visuals are absolutely stunning with easter eggs a plenty for any hardcore or causal Mario fans to point at the cinema with glee, the plot is way better than any critics opinion with an amazing unexpected Super Mario Odyssey reference. The music is amazing to listen too with many remixed classic themes such the DK Rap from Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario Bros 3 Airship theme, Superstar theme, Captain Toad Treasure Tacker main theme, and Attack! From Bowser's Fury also a new theme in the film called Peaches which was amazing. Paramount put in more Sonic themes in the third movie.

Chris Pratt is better than anyone would expected, Charlie Day fitted Luigi really well but we could got more of him though, Jack Black steals the show, Keegan-Michael gave us a not annoying Toad voice, Anya Taylor-Joy was an amazing fit for Peach, Seth Rogen was good as DK. Overall the Mario movie is a love letter to every Mario or Nintendo fan with amazing everything, the critics are wrong, the movie ended with an excellent location the Mario series hasn't been to much and the Rainbow Road part was stunning and the best part of the movie. It was great for what you should be expecting to see from this movie. A great blend of the different Mario games, great pacing, awesome voice acting. Pretty funny, many elements from many Mario’s games. I enjoyed the whole movie. I don’t know what low rating people were expecting. It’s Mario!!! I give it a 10, because I was laughing so hard in many parts of the movie.

A frantic and entertaining movie!

NO NARRATION!!

I literally can't think of what people expect or wanted more out of a "Super Mario Bros" movie plot.

I do think the licensed music was mostly pointless. Doesn't detract but feels tacked in.

A great film, however it is very blatantly made for children and thus the length of the film is rather short and doesn't have much depth to it.

A lot of fun. While having the typical paper-thin video game plot and character development, I was entertained during the whole movie. Sometimes a movie just needs to do that. Countless themes from the Mario video game universe are seamlessly woven together in this visually epic extravaganza. Quite a few laughs supplement the visually stunning odyssey. 1st movie Ive been since 2019. Great kid friendly movie and nostalgic from my childhood. My 5 year olds first movie also and he was amazed. Great visuals, great voice acting & no woke trash. And only 1.5 hours long.

This is still Super Mario, an entertainment film for the whole family. And what should I say ? It's everything I wanted. I also thought at first that it couldn't work, but yes, it works. Nostalgia, Easter Eggs, humor, and music. All great. Perhaps one could criticize the voice actors (German) and 1-2 mistakes in the story structure/contradictions, so 1 point deduction. But otherwise a very good entertaining nostalgic film.

I really enjoyed it. it might not have a deep story but nobody expected to have one, the story is fun and full of easter eggs of the nintendo world, that's what the fans expected to see.. the animation was spectacular, I really recomend it.

Great Game Adaptation. Very fun experience. There is no deeper story, but still very good visual story telling with great comedic timing. Animations is very beautiful. Music and references are very rewarding for fans of the games.

Don't listen to the increasingly estranged from reality 'Critics' - this movie is great fun, if you have had any enjoyment interacting with Mario over the last 40 years you will enjoy this film regardless of age.

I have been a Mario fan for years and this movie if full of references and fanservice to the Mario saga. But the plot is very generic and predictable. But I would only leave it as a single movie and not milking it with unessesary sequels or a ''NCU'' not everyone wants, because they can ruin it if they don't have a plan to do so. So its an 8/10 for me. The cast is awful but if you watch the movie on latin Spanish its way better.… Expand

SMB Movie - це гарний розважальний мульт, а для людей що хоть крапельку шарять за франшизу і люблять її, так взагалі відмінний. Так, основна історія проставата і в цілому стандартна для ігр Маріо, Баузер захотів одружитися з Піч, а МаріоSMB Movie - це гарний розважальний мульт, а для людей що хоть крапельку шарять за франшизу і люблять її, так взагалі відмінний. Так, основна історія проставата і в цілому стандартна для ігр Маріо, Баузер захотів одружитися з Піч, а Маріо потрібно врятувати Луїга, все ... але мультфільм хороший тим як він адаптував франшизу. Персонажі прям дуже хороші, Анюта і Джек Блек просто 10 з 10, так, образи Піч і основного Тоада переробили, але як на мене тут вони навіть краще. Дуже круто в мультфільмі адаптували геймплейні фішки, бонуси, навіть деякі підсерії та їх фішки (особливо охренів на кінцівці в стилі маріо і луїджі рпг), ну і звичайно ж відсилання і пасхали і всякі моментики для своїх, прям дуже приємні ... і все це зшито у фільмі прям дуже-дуже добре, набагато краще за ті ж аспекти в Саніке в Кено. Плюс реально гарний гумор і взагалі не в стилі тупих міньйонів і пердежного гидкого я (хоча я був готовий до такого), мульт взагалі не відчувається як мульт ілюмінейшен, так само як маріо+кволіки не відчуваються як ігри юбісофт, все-таки Нінка вміє стояти на своєму баченні. Коротше відмінна розвага для Маріобоів на зразок мене. Я задоволений.… Expand
