This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is by far the best Marvel Movie ever, and with the exception of “The Dark Knight” the best comic book superhero movie of all time. In the end, Peter Parker finally ends up in his New York City apartment that was his base of operations in Todd Mcfarlane’s now classic comic book, “Spider Man”. No longer a high school kid, this sets up Spider Man for the next stage of adventures as a more mature young man. Additionally this film wraps up and neatly pays homage to all previous Spider Man films. My only complaint is that it does look like Spider Man is transitioning from Disney back to Sony. So I just hope future films are more like “Into the Spiderverse” and less like “Venom: Let there be Carnage” This is my favorite film of 2021 and sets up Tom Holland as a true superstar.… Expand

This is the way to finish a trilogy. In addition, it is clear the writers and director loved the characters.

In the past, adding more villains have been the bane of the Spider-man films (Spider-man 3, The Amazing Spider-man 2), however, Jon Watts and his writers have concocted a story weaving together character motivations in the most coherent fashion. The Green Goblin (William DaFoe) Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) give stand out performances. Even Electro (Jaime Foxx) get's his moments to shine (or to spark). Revisiting the past allows the film to rectify the franchise, while paying an homage for all fans out there. The movie takes risks where the stakes have never been higher for Peter Parker. Spider-man has always been about his complicated relationships and friendships with the villains. All his loved ones of the hero are threatened, and so Peter must decide which identity he must inhabit fully.… Expand

It is extremely predictable. It is exactly what I expected. And I loved every second of it. I was expecting a Spider-Man 3 level of wasted potential... But somehow they were not only able to pull it off, they exceeded my expectations... Everything I was hoping for was there and they still managed to surprise me multiple times. This is also the moment I've been waiting on. Tom Holland's Spider-Man finally became Spider-MAN. He finally got out of the shadow of Tony Stark and stopped being the kid that screws up and has to fix his mistakes. I can't wait to see what direction they take it from there because that ending is perfect and not one I ever expected them to go.… Expand

As both a spiderman fan and regular moviegoer, this was a one fun film, packed with emotions. messages, and themes. It showed spiderman can be serious and is willing to make a sacrifice that none of us will make.

This movie could've gone down so wrong. It could've heavily relied on fan service and references to mask the terrible plot, like that other movie I watched (I'm looking at you, Matrix Resurrections!)

Thankfully, the movie is amazingly written, and all the cast were phenomenal at their roles. The returning villains still got it, and that ending left so much potentials for the sequel films.… Expand

I love this movie. I was looking forward to see it, and it turned out to be even better, than I expected. All returned characters are incredible. - Peter Parker, giving it all his heart, and everything else... - The first thing that comes to my mind is how prodigious the script writing is, masterfully layered, epic on countless levels, and moreover deeply emotional... Peter Parker- Peter Parker, giving it all his heart, and everything else... - The first thing that comes to my mind is how prodigious the script writing is, masterfully layered, epic on countless levels, and moreover deeply emotional... Peter Parker faces extremely complex choices, going through a big number of ordeals, putting his heart in the front-line all the time... And yeah, it shows you how constantly trying to right every wrong is more than a monumental task for one sole being. Luckily, he has several wonderful supports -all along this chaotic journey- who give their heart to fill these roles in the best possible way, and that, in itself is very touching... But in this movie, the stakes resonate on a wide number of aspects, it isn't at all just about "good & bad", it's a human story (which makes it the magnificent movie that it is) and the hero at the core of all these meanders has to fully embrace his responsibilities... A true hero's journey sadly is punctuated with tragic steps that tell you how right is what you're doing. And indeed, in the end, it all takes you back to this existential question, and its heartbreaking answer : "What did it cost ?" ... "Everything."

Now on a lighter note, the easter eggs and winks to the audience, there are tons of thems and each one of them smoothly flows in the most logical & delightful way with the story (the audience cheers and applaudes on multiple occasions) ; either rewarding you in the process or planting seeds for obvious future storylines to come and develop further down the line... And again, most of these elements have an emotional impact to them, or lead you to some intriguing (and interesting) questions...
What's for sure is that you go through a lot heart-grabbing moments, all along this movie... It has a lot of epicness to it, of course ; but what leaves you in awe is that the emotional aspect of all these scenes is what really leaves you blissfully happy. And when the movie's over one and for all, you can already enjoy all these clever (but numerous) little seeds, eventually evolving in new mind-blowing directions in the future...

How not to applaude this movie, from its great build-up (every character has at least one thing that makes you attached to him and his eventual outcome), the way it's navigates so well between epic sequences and dialogues that add ever more to the moving aspect of it all ; leading you to this legendary last third of the movie, in which anything is a real blast (PS : the two end credits are really worth waiting for).

I'll finish with the quality of the whole piece, from the nicely mastered staging, the pace (2h30 that flow like 1h), the obvious dedication (and passion) that's infused in every scene by the actors (but also by all the team behind the movie ; you can feel it all along) and the dialogs that are a delight... The special effects are once again amazing... The score offers several memorable pieces...
Not just one of the greatest superhero movies ever, but an unforgettable movie, period.… Expand

The writing was exceptional especially the story they did a perfect job at balancing all the crazy and exciting action and fun with humorous moments and with deep heartwrenching and serious moments. The performances from Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Willem Dafoe, Zendaya, Alfred Molina, Tobey Maguire, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, J. K. Simmons, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rhys Ifans, Jon Favreau, and Tom Hardy were phenomenal. The chemistry between Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire was so natural and hilarious and the chemistry between Tom Holland and Zendaya is by no surprise excellent. The visual effects were remarkable, some of the best time ever seen especially the Mirror Dimension, Sandman, Dr. Ock's tentacles, Lizard, Electro's powers, Spider-Man's nano suit, and all cracks in the universe. The action sequences were awesome some of the best I've ever scene especially the final battle. The costumes were superb especially all the Spider-Men's suits. The music was great. This was an A+ movie.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a long time Spiderman & Film Fan, I am typical of very many a person who knows the Spiderman Origin Story Outline. The MCU Spiderman was for me a breath of fresh air - from that Traditional outline, in that I could finally go to see some Spiderman Movies and not know what was going to happen. This Film takes a Blend of the 3 Cinematic runs of Spiderman and takes the Character & Brand Forward. This film is far better than "cameo fan service" that some reviewers suggest. This film goes way beyond what "MCU only" Spiderman fans perhaps wanted & is all the far superior a film for it. IE. If you enjoyed or even loved the Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Variants of Spiderman, and indeed rank their villains such-as Green Goblin and Doc OC, as some of the greatest Superhero Villain's ever, in the History of Superhero Film villains then this is the film for you.

What does more than "Fan Service" Mean? Well whilst the film has multiple peaks & troughs of action, interaction and battles, and may even sometimes seem weak in terms of script , that is more than made up for, in terms of how well fleshed out the story actually is, and whilst I am not someone known for being high on emo, the number of times I felt moisture building up around my eyeballs whilst watching a Spiderman movie was quite surprising & astonishing, in a good way.

This film is Fantastic, brilliantly well put together, and navigated the very many potential pitfalls that could have befallen a film with so many villains and Spiderman's with what is seemingly an unappreciated (amongst some reviewers & fanbases) aplomb. This film has "come & see me again" written all over it, and that is what will take it into the box office stratosphere over the next month or two, and in terms of ongoing sales and feel good factors it will probably break streaming / DVD / Video records for a film you will want in your collection.… Expand

Putting 3 generations of Spider-Men into one movie, regardless of which one you like the most was icing on the cake !
Lots of emotional moments, a few times got me teary eyed with a massive grin on my face. Seeing Tobey Maguire again after 14 years as Spider-Man, was the best way to end 2021

The acting especially from Tom Holland as he really is Spider-Man is amazing. This is easily Tom Holland’s best acting performance out fo any Spider-Man movie he has been in. The acting from Jamie Fox, Willem Defoe and even Alfred Molina is like they never left the role as they are just so good in the movie. The plot is very awesome and Tobey and Andrew return in the movie, so what else can I say? Also Aunt May dies in this movie so the movie is highly entertaining and emotional. The Comedy and the emotions were pouring all over the movie and the Story-line was surprising and predictable both,the Doctor strange fight was eye pleasing and the sinister five fight was goosebumps, the Aunt-may's death was surprising and emotional, the environment around peter's identity was Thrilling and the 1 by 1 entries of Villians were Treat. The Ending goblin's fight was Emotionally satisfying and the trio's tower fight was feast, The ending was Emotional and the Post-credits "MAN O MAN" That's the Real Deal. The Doctor strange 2 Teaser it was the Most Chillingly Satsifing Thing At Last! (Spoiler warning ahead). This movie made me fall in love with Tom Holland's Spider-Man and makes me understand something: From Civil War to No Way Home, this was the MCU Peter's coming of age story. Seeing Charlie Cox return, all three Spider-Men together, and all these villains returning to kick ass? So good, thank you Marvel and Sony for this amazing ride. Tom Holland's Spider-Man has a fresh start with how this movie ended, and they teased something BIG at the end. I can't wait for what's ahead, with Venom, potential X-Men and Fantastic Four crossovers, and Young Avengers all with the new trilogy they're planning. The future sure is bright for Spider-Man. And we got Across the Spider-Verse: Part 1 and 2 to keep us occupied until Tom Holland returns.… Expand

For a marvel fan, this will probably be the best MCU movie, by far. For web-heads, this'll probably one of the greatest movies of all time.
Tom Holland's superb performance really shines through the great shots this movie has, making justice to Peter Parker. Everything, from the ideia for the plot, to the execution, makes this Jon Watt's greatest achievement.
Alfred Molina, Willem Defoe, Jamie Foxx and Thomas Haden Church's return is everything a fan could wait for, with a remarkable performance and good writing, this characters feel more alive than ever.
Dylan Baker had is role overshadowed and had a low screen-time, yet, it nails his job, making a great return as the lizard.
Zendaya's, Jacob's and Benedict's performance was their best in all the MCU, by a mile.

For the thing people have been waiting for, and heavy spoilers ahead.. Yes, they're back. Their entrance is everything a fan could wait for, giving the suspense the scene needed, yet feeling close home and familiar. Tobey and Andrew's performance makes justice to their universe and characters. This movie really makes us understand that there's no Spider-man better than the other. Everything feels so well constructed, making their relationship feel natural and everlasting.

If you're a Spider-Man fan, this is a must. Watching this movie day one, on the theaters, was one of the greatest experiences of all time, making this a unforgettable day, which will probably lead me to the theaters to rewatch this.… Expand

Not because the movie would suck but because I expected a lot. However, not only my high expectations were met, it felt like i was watching a movie that I would only dream of. The return of the iconic villains, the ztory itself and Peter sacrificing so much as he learned that with great power comes great responsibility from the woman who's pretty much his mother. And the cherry on top having those 3 amazing heroes unite gave me goosebumps, as i stared at the screen sith the biggest dorkiest smile i ever had. It made this a breathtaking experience to the point that i wanna go watch it again. I only thought a movie like this is something you dream of. Gladly dreams come true… Expand

To see Tom really act like spiderman with his decisions in this movie makes me like the MCU spiderman more than before. I've seen this movie 3 times and I plan on watching it many more times. The movie doesn't lack anywhere In my opinion. Even tho ik what happens during the 3rd time I was still up on my seat. I wait 21 years of my life for this movie that I thought would never happen.
