Mysterio is a cool villain, and he's served well here, both by Gyllenhaal and the script. But Spider-Man/Peter is again a whiny brat who learns no lessons. He lucks into doing the right thing and gets everything handed to him. He makes no sacrifices and loses nothing. Imagine you have to make the choice between saving the world and going on a field trip where maybe you kiss MJ (imagine this is a choice that is actually a "real tough choice"). But instead of having to choose one you just automatically get both because choices are for losers. That's the new Marvel version of great power. With great power comes more robots and tech and hey superpowers are kinda lame too now that I think about it. And wow, the Stark Jr/Iron Spider stuff is so thematically unwarranted and completely off base. Expand

It's got humor, heart, action, and can be a very entertaining experience. However, it is also a filler chapter where the only thing of real consequence to occur takes place during the end credits. Coming off of Endgame it's a little hard to get excited about something that doesn't further the franchise in any meaningful way. Although it does hint a little at where the future of Parker may lie.

With this being the character's third incarnation on the big screen, I get that some changes to his history were necessary in order to set this take apart from the work of Raimi and Marc Webb and ensure that he better fit into the MCU. That being said, some of the alterations do irk the purist in me (mostly the ones made to longtime supporting characters). The exception being the possibility of Spider-Man becoming the next Tony Stark. As bad as Marvel comics have been over the past few years, making Parker the CEO of his own multibillion dollar conglomerate was actually a pretty cool decision despite the bad writing that accompanied it. I was even a little disappointed when they decided to retcon that in favor of a back-to-basics approach. So the idea of Parker sort of inheriting Starks tech and role as the face of the MCU kind of excites me and I hope they actually deliver on all of this teasing.

Once again Spider-Man faces of the most well-realized villains in the MCU. While definitely a step back from Vulture, Mysterio at least undergoes a little bit of exploration as a character. As annoying as it is to see everything once again tie back into Tony, it does provide a satisfying explanation behind Beck's actions. The moments where he goes full master of illusion are some of the most exciting in the film.

I think Far From Home really revealed to me where I'm at mentally with this particular cinematic universe. Unless it's introducing new character or radically redefining an existing one's arc, my interest in the standalone entries is very low. Especially if the hero has been around for a while like Spider-Man. There's nothing I can legitimately make complaints about. The formula these films run on definitely still works. It's just that this one felt so inconsequential that I was very aware of its running-time, and for a movie that's over two-hours in length that's not a good thing.

Given that the last two Spiderman movies were excellent, this is even more of a disappointment. The actors were top notch, the visuals and scoring were as well, but the plot had a number of very obvious holes and the action has way too much slapstick than you'd expect from the Marvel Movie formula.

Essentially about 10% of the entire running time has the smarts of a fart joke, and that wastes what could have been a fabulous script - the main antagonist was compelling and cast with a great actor.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The second entry in the the second Spider-Man reboot series, this one takes place after the last Avengers movie. Tony Stark/Iron Man is dead and has left Peter with some of his technology. Most of the rest of cast from the last move returns, with Marisa Tomei as hot Aunt May; and Ned, Flash Thompson, and MJ. In the film, Peter leaves New York in a field trip with his classmates and they go to Europe. Jake Gylenhall plays Quentin Beck/Mysterio, someone who purports to be a superhero from another dimension and he fights a new threat to Earth, the elementals, strange super-powered entities from another dimension. Later on, it is revealed that Beck was deceiving everyone, and it was all an illusion he created as he is an illusionist and special effects expert. Beck was a former scientist at Stark industries who developed the holographic technology that Tony Stark stole and dubbed “B.A.R.F.” Angered by this, Beck was fired for his unstable nature. As a result, Beck swore revenge and sabotages the world while pretending to be an “Avengers”-level hero. I thoroughly enjoyed this one even more than the last one and was satisfied with its depiction of Mysterio. Expand

While not offering anything stellar story-wise, "Far from Home" has some kick-ass visuals and a nice narrative, interpolating comic moments with serious ones. Marvel kicks off its 4th phase in good fashion.

Its so hard to be impressed in the well worn genre especially with this character having kick started the superhero reboots back in 2002. Inexplicably though this MCU/sony collaboration really works and again plays to the comedic strengths of tom holland and the talented supporting cast from SM homecoming. While I enjoyed this far more than I expected, I felt it was missing that special moment to really exceed my expectations and really deliver a more impactful storyline or touching performance. I laughed a lot throughout this film and marvel really have nailed the action side of the genre in 2019. Cant wait to see where they go next!

“What the fu - !”

After the devastating, yet spectacularly epic “Endgame”, I was incredibly curious about ‘Far From Home’ continuation on an event of a satisfying conclusion. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Spider-man was always my favorite hero growing up. I think it’s the grounded side to the character that I connect with the most. When the movie began with a “I will always love you” by Whitney Houston, I was both hooked and emotionally moved.

‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is a solid adventure that’s self aware enough of it’s own cheesy plot. From start till finish I was entertained with some of the jokes and how great of a character Peter Parker/Spider-Man truly is. The movie itself approaches ‘the snap’ with the sense of “meh, not a big deal”, type of humor, but grief is always afloat.

This also contains two post credit scenes that’s one of the best in the franchise. Trust me, everybody’s reaction in the cinema was priceless.

Tom Holland once again made the web shooter his own and with each entry seems to smooth into the character - capturing both the nerdy side with awkward humor, but also having the weight on his shoulders to live up to Tony Stark’s legendary image. I thought Holland is fantastic during the more hard hitting scenes when the situation gets too heavy for Peter, which reminds the audience the human side of the hero.

I also thought the scenes between Peter and MJ were so sweet and quirky. I’m glad Zendaya had more to do this time around than the first movie, and isn’t playing the stereotypical superhero's love interest.

Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio was both charisma and a absolute blast to watch. It’s unfortunate that I can’t go into the reasons why, as fear of taking away the mystery for people who haven’t seen it yet. Lets just say they did the character justice and Gyllenhaal (as usual) did a great job.

Jon Watts certainly has improved in terms of directing action sequences, which I would imagine it being tough for him since he came from a small budget background. While still a bit lackluster in parts, but the set pieces and the execution is much better. The way he directs the Mysterio segments can be best described as a trippy nightmare that some shots have implanted in my head as I’m writing this.

However, my issues with the first movie in terms of cinematography and humor sadly still stands - more bad this time as the journey around Europe with beautiful and breathtaking views. I’ve been to Venice a few years ago and they wasted the opportunity of showing it off. And again, the humor is always placed in the least appropriate parts after something dramatic happens.

There’s a few predicable scenes scattered through out and it’s annoying when the movie acts like it’s a huge shock.

Also, I can’t be the only one that thought the transition of the opening scene with Mysterio to Whitney Houston song “I will always love you”, was a little jarring and out of place.

Overall rating: Despite the issues, ‘Far From Home’ is another solid entry from our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. A few years ago in my ‘Homecoming’ review, I noted about that the heart and soul of the Raimi films were missing, although now with time passed and new thoughts, the heart and soul is always there, just presented in a different vision.

Works much better than Homecoming. Better villain, less ludicrous plot. Still too much teenybopper silliness, overplayed tropes and dumb in-"jokes". But overall, this has a semblance of a heart and is an entertaining way to pass a couple hours.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Spider-Man: Far From Home is a very interesting Marvel film that takes on the tough role of following up the incredible Avengers: Endgame. It does an excellent job of portraying Peter Parker's feelings of wanting to just let it all fade and get on with his life. He's been an Avenger, and he had to see his beloved mentor die, and that was enough for him. Now he just wants to try and get with the girl he realized was the right one all along, and have a good time on his vacation. It's convincing enough to make it an enriching part of the film.

The problem comes with the main villain, Quentin Beck. His evil plan and all are interesting, but the problem is that his motives just don't really cut it. Basically, he just wants to convince the world he's a superhero using the tech of scientists who got pushed to the side by Tony Stark and yada yada yada. The thing is that you'd think that Tony dying to save the universe might change his mind, and that he might think that maybe Stark got his just desserts by, you know, dying, but no. He apparently still has this grudge that is so strong for no reason that he wants to kill a ton of people just to make the world think he's the new big superhero, just because one super rich and famous guy fired him. It just doesn't really click, and compared to other parts of the film, doesn't do a great job of following up on the trauma of the events of Endgame.

Overall, Spider-Man: Far From Home is a pretty solid entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a good main protagonist, the usual incredible CGI, and funny sideplots, but certain things unfortunately keep the film from being on the same level as masterpieces like Civil War, Black Panther, and Endgame.

Os Vingadores acabaram, não há ninguem no controlo dos heróis e não existe nenhum herói que se assuma como o novo lider.

Contudo o filme é do Spider Man e Peter Parker não desilude. Pontos Positivos:

It depicts Peter Parker dealing with life after the events of the previous two Avengers movies. While on vacation, he teams up with Jake Gylenhaal's Mysterio to tackle some new world-ending threats, but then he discovers that his new friend isn't who he seems. Once again, Tom Holland is amazing as Peter Parker, as is Gylenhaal as Mysterio. The action is much more entertaining and polished than in Homecoming. While being a superhero action movie, it is also an amusing teen comedy. Zendaya's MJ is amazing, and the chemistry between her and Peter is fun to watch. To whoever made the decision to make each half of the film feels like a single film, WE ARE NOT FOOLS!

I mean, even if we are, I doubt that there's a single person who would believe there's a superhero film that's an hour long! The teen-centric stuff that worked perfectly in Spider-Man: Homecoming didn't work here at all because everything was rushed and all over the place in the first half including the uninspiring fight scenes that made it quite clear that the first hour of the film isn't the entire film (as if this wasn't already clear!)

The film overall is dramatically bland. And that's also due to the same, and probably only, aforementioned major issue. That said, the film improves so much after the first hour. The second half is way better in almost every aspect. The CGI quality and the performances (especially from Tom Holland and Zendaya) are the only two things that are exceptionally great throughout the entire film.

To be honest, and despite all I've said, I can't say that I was bored at any moment. It's tasteless and underwhelming from both the action and dramatic standpoints; it's a fast-paced superhero flick that offers a lot of twists and surprises (regardless how poorly executed they are.) Spider-Man: Far from Home is a fun ride, but it's far from being one of Spidey's best films.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is, on its own, a good superhero movie. It does nothing that the MCU franchise hasn't done before, but while that makes this film a bit disappointing, it is still a fun summer blockbuster.

While Zendaya and Holland's performances in this film are once again good, following up their solid acting in Homecoming, the writing of this film leads to unexplained changes in Peter's character. His character is inconsistent with other versions that we have seen of this character and the lack of explanation leads me to feel that these changes only occur to service the plot of this movie, without keeping the larger scope of the franchise in mind. In addition, some of the dialogue is poorly written especially between Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio and Holland's Peter Parker (but nevertheless, the film does nail the writing regarding the interactions between Peter, Ned, and MJ). The end result of this inconsistent writing is that the twists and turns of this movie become extremely predictable especially for someone who is familiar with Spider-Man lore (although I do concede that any film is more predictable if you go in acquainted with the source material). In trying to not be too harsh on this film (which I actually found quite enjoyable), the quips are well written and the special effects are amazing (the best we have seen form an MCU film since Doctor Strange).

Ultimately, Far From Home is another Spider-Man movie. Although I found the plot and pacing to be disappointing at times, I feel that this movie accomplishes what it sets out to do: make a fun summer blockbuster. The most important relationships in this movie are portrayed well and drown out the poor acting/writing that hurts others. If you enjoyed Homecoming, you will at the very least find this film enjoyable. It is far from a masterpiece and a bit disappointing, but it gets the job done and is worth a watch.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Mediocrity as its best. Half the movie was spoiled by trailers. Romance and school-related scenes are too infantile and previsible. Fight scenes are great but too few. Mysterio is such an amazing villain, yet they've ruined his character by his selfless acts. I loved Homecoming, but this movie disappointed me. Expand

I just came home with the kids from the cinema where we had watched Spider-Man: Far From Home so I thought I would write a few lines while it was still fresh in my mind.

I have to say that it was a decent enough movie. I didn’t exactly regret having forked out the money to watch it in the cinema but that’s about it. It’s far from a great movie and the end scene…well it’s a typical really crappy Hollywood ending where the writer cannot be bothered to spend time creating something intelligent so he just goes for the usual sensationalist cliffhanger ****

As with the previous movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, this is a Spider-Man for kids, or at least younger people, movie which perhaps is part of why I am somewhat lukewarm towards it. This one did not feel as childish as the previous one but there is still a lot of teenage angst and rubbish in it. The plot is of course highly predictable as well.

The special effects on the other hand are quite good and essentially what makes the movie worth watching. At least to me. The end fight with hundreds of those drones flying around intermixed with Mysterio’s illusions where quite cool. A bit over the top perhaps but cool nonetheless.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Spider-Man: Far From Home ~ Entertaining, but not quite memorable Directed by Jon Watts, this superhero movie disguised as a teen romance tells the story of the events after Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, is overwhelmed by the fact that he has to step up in Tony Stark’s shoes, although what he really wants is just a vacation away from all the superhero stuff, where he plans to confess his feelings towards MJ, portrayed by Zendaya. Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio was perfect, I just wish his story arc was presented more in-depth, I wish they would’ve offered us more info about his backstory, what actually was given to us being a brief presentation of his origins. The twist consisting of him actually being the villain was predictable, considering that the trailer showed Spidey teaming up with him. Some particular scenes make absolutely no sense, this aspect being masked with comedy, hoping you will forget the weak-ish plot. I liked the fact that the movie was pretty well balanced, Peter always being caught up in some fights, which would interrupt the few chances he had to tell MJ how he feels about her. The action scenes were a lot more intense than the ones in Homecoming, they seemed more confident this time. My favourite part was when Spidey had to fight Mysterio’s illusions. That scene looked amazing. Another satisfying aspect was seeing Peter act just like Tony while designing his new suit. Leaving behind the heavily predictable storyline, the post credit scene was pretty great, I’m really looking forward to see what they will do in the next movie, leaving us with a cliffhanger, while the end credits scene was absolutely unnecessary. I must say that I would’ve liked to see how they handle the fact that MJ knows Spider-Man’s true identity a bit more, the post credit scene revealing his secret seeming maybe a tiny bit rushed. Overall, I had fun watching this light, comedy filled movie, but I couldn’t not notice the obvious flaws: predictability, plot holes, weak-ish storyline and I wish I would’ve seen more of Mysterio. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Quite underwhelming. The romance between Peter & his girl is unconvincing at best and the teenage dialogue does not fit these high school students. It's far too awkward and puerile. The acting seems rushed and lackluster with Jon Favreau giving his worst performance since the TV show The King of Queens. The plot is thin with a terrible introduction to the supposed villains and the CGI looks like it was finished 10 years ago. This is by far the most disappointing movie I've seen since AQUAMAN and that is saying a LOT. Zendaya may have a reputation as a good actress, but she's terrible in this, being stilted with deadpan delivery in the oddest moments. Overall barely watchable. Expand

The story is brilliant centered around the college trip with spiderman's stuff and the mysterio he is awesome, The Cgi is a piece and the jokes around trip were fun, The Iron man's stuff countinuation and the trust factor is amazingly showcased. The action scenes and the illusions were awesome, The starting with connecting to endgame's event and the trip plan with the love stuff of peter and mj and the flight scene "the perfume stuff" of peter trying to get to mj his plan it was fun and then the nick fury's entry with mysterio's fake multiversal thing it felt amazing and The elementals fights were awesome, the bathroom scene with lady felt wierdly funny and the edith drone strike and the futher fights were amazing, after halfway through the mysterio's reveal it was just surpisingly awesome and his iron man connection is just bravvo, The mj finding out peter's identity felt little sweet and then the illusion fight after mysterio's reveal it was literally a piece felt directly from comic it was jaw-droppingly awesome The way tricks and trust is portrayed it was just brilliant, The happy's rescue and new suite with it the last act's fight with drones, love that cap's reference and the fight is just awesome, The museum scene with drone and spiderman friends the happy and aunt may's thing was funny and then the final illusion fight with another classic mysterio move and spiderman taking everything down it was just an amazing end and finally mj and peter together and overall trip in between with funny teachers and flash's vlog and ned's couple stuff it was fun, Then after the trip The swing with mj and the mid-credits where spidermans identity revealed coverd by "j jonah jameson" it was just literally nuts and an epic cliff-hanger and then postcredits nick fury and skrull stuff it was surprisingly amazing, The ending is literally Mind-blowingly awesome, Overall its a great sequel and an brilliantly awesome movie!

EVERYONE HEAR WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR, HOW ELSE COULD IT GET 10/10?
**FOR WHOM DIDN'T SEE IT YET**
My recommendation is for all people who rather see a show, adore excessive comedy and who are passionate of a fantastic story, because the narrative does not taste good. In general the technic part and the story are the most that you are going to appreciate of this production, sure thanks to his $164 million of budget.

However, from my point of view, the director dedicated more to realize a show or an spectacle with a repetitive message than to direct a movie; if you appreciate a good story with a good drama, script, with deep characters and if we would add his excessive humour then it'll be a long-road with acid at a halfway and bitter flavor at the end.

Kids and adolescences with emotional and social insecurity have to come to see this movie, it probably like you and empathize with you, as it says, everyone hear what they want to hear, Besides, on a realistic story there are a lot to confuse, sorry to learn.
* About acting, just to highlight that one of them made his extra work, even though it was not intentional that the character ended up shooting out his own butt.

**ALERTING SPOILERS**

Pay tickets for the theater and the first to appear were 2 clowns and a lion with a challenge; It seemed interesting until they started joking. I thought that it would be momentary, but really since I entered and observed, I’ve already known how it was going to end, so it did. However, the kid who was behind me really liked, and Who didn’t? It was showy and with a lot of humour, I think I let myself tricked by the banner which seemed made of gold but it was just gold plated.

8/10 - Cameras, graphics and scenery: Definitely the technic part of the production was the best; the cameras were very precisely. Besides, the fight’s graphics and sceneries were very credible. Without them it would be a lesser to appreciate of this movie.

7/10 – Story: The movie shows a fantastic adventure story with comedy of a young hero. A villain hide as hero and with a high tech to make illusions is a huge plus that without this, it would have been catastrophic.
4/10 – Acting: The reason I decided to go was because of the performance on Nightcrawler of Jake Gyllenhaal, and even though in this was not in his quality performance of that movie, it was the most notably in acting. However, about his work the opposite would have been the most logical: “The fake transmitted much more and was more credible that the real character". Probably as a result of an extra work, but unfortunately ended up dulling his own character.
About the other actors, they all worked with what the director said, but we already know how the directing was.

3/10 – Directing: This production was too big for the director. The story it was very interesting and here is where it comes my critic. Why the excessive comedy? Some of them were necessary, but all the way through and Did it also has to be used to tell the story and to change sceneries?, all this didn’t let us appreciate any characters development or a good script and I believe that the director dedicated more to use cinematographic technics instead of telling a story; of course it was flashy, but a real movie is much more than just that.

3/10 – Drama: The personages flow process were stagnated by the excessive use of humour, that to the end, instead of having a comfortable walk it felt like a rock in the shoe.
3/10 – Script: Not too much to talk about this, the writer had little time, was new or bad; definitively the only who overworked here, even though was not in favor of the movie or the character.
3/10 – Message: Kids and adolescences with emotional and social insecurity problems have to come to see this movie, it probably like you, as it says, everyone hear what they want to hear. And who doesn’t want to hear a story to overcome his insecurity problems and much more when it’s so realistic. Besides, they probably just want you to follow the marvel stories in order to consume $$, Of course, they need more than its 275 million people who watched and its $1100 million on sales.
Definitely it will cure you because everybody is Spider-man and of course who doesn’t have money, Further, a real story is always appreciated in order to learn things of life, Finally, hoping that the 32 million children with symptoms and attention on mental health who watched were cured by this story.

5/10 – Summary: The story, cameras, scenography and graphics were the best of the movie; and of course there are important factors that add a plus to …, but to what? It was like place a Tesla’s or Ferrari’s case to a Chevrolet VEO, from far it would seem fast and showy but when you drive you realize that it is just for a counter and not for a real good movie.

8/10 - Cameras & scenography
7.5/10 - Graphics
7/10 - Story
4/10 - Acting
3/10 - Directing
3/10 - Drama
3/10 - Script
1/10 - Message
4.6/10-Average

You can do it again. The film is over, the credits are over and we go outside excitedly.

Before we start, I'll get the minus point out of the way, because the film has a small weakness. More precisely, there are individual moments that drag each other a little too much.

But that's it ..... About the rest, I can only say: bombastic. The spider delivered a really awesome film that does so much right.

The actors are all of a good standard. Above all, Tom Holland plays really outstanding.

Visually the film is impressive. Scenes that only astonish you.

From a narrative point of view, it's all very well thought out and nicely resolved.

After I would place Homecoming in the middle field, Far From Home really convinced me. This film is one of the best in the MCU.

Top performance Spidey.

A good end to Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In short, I like 'Spider-Man: Far from Home'. I do think it's someway off its predecessor, but I still had a suitably fun time watching this. Tom Holland remains top notch in the main role, with Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson and Zendaya supporting strongly.

The story is a solid one, I like the concept of it; especially with Gyllenhaal's character. Some of the special effects do look a little questionable, but only in relation to how great the effects usually are in the MCU. Compared to an 'average' film, they still look good.

By sheer process of the elimination, it probably is one of my least favourite films from this universe. That's not a negative though, as I very much like it and keenly await the currently unnamed sequel.

This is very much a teen, coming-of-age movie. I'm a big Spiderman fan, and I'm sure there are some things that went over my head due to the fact I've not really any interest in the Avengers movies. However, there are some really enjoyable scenes here as well as a decent Spiderman and some brilliant visual moments led by Mysterio. The pacing is quite good too, so it doesn't feel like it drags. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After Endgame, I thought the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ended. I didn't know the meaning of culmination back then. I used to think it means the final movie. So when I heard about Spider-Man: Far From Home releasing, I thought it's just gonna be to show from the perspective of one superhero as to how life has changed since the reverse snap. Since Endgame was 3 hours long they couldn't exactly show much about it from the point of view of the civilians, this movie could do it much better. After all, it's about Peter going to Europe (a place other than America) for a trip.

The only reason why I watched this movie is because it's Spider-Man. If it were any other superhero I'd have skipped it. Turns out it's a lot better than what everyone was saying it to be. There are a lot of things I liked about this movie, mainly Spider-Man himself. I really like Tom Holland's Spider-Man because of how much developed his suit is. Even if he just leaves his body idle the suit will allow him to continue fighting on his own. All those web mods are very interesting. I have talked about it in depth in my Spider-Man: Homecoming review so I don't feel like writing it again.

The movie really panders on the emotions for those who were fans of Iron Man. He has multiple references everywhere, since he was the mentor of Peter. Peter gets Tony's glasses as a gift from him which allow him to see many digital stuff. It actually draws many parallels between Tony and Peter, as to how they were both geniuses who have an AI-operated suit that helps them fight intensely powerful bad guys. Peter always looked up to Tony as his mentor, and in this movie it has been shown very appropriately.

Another thing this movie has shown very well is the life after the reverse snap. Many of our questions get answered over here. What happened to the people who came back is answered, how people are reacting, and most importantly what is to come for the Avengers. Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel - all of them are gone now. Only Spider-Man can be in contact of the Avengers in case a threat is to come on earth. And this brings me to why Mysterio is a good villain in this movie.

Ever since the snap people have been traumatised. There could be any amount of danger coming in from any place and of any intensity. Seeing some monsters in Europe was enough to scare the people, and Mysterio used this opportunity to portray himself as the hero. Even Spider-Man became his fan seeing his work. Although he did learn about the truth later, Mysterio continued to be brave. The focus over here was to target Peter's friends and not the world. The stakes here were completely different.

Normally whenever there are any threats for a superhero, it's always on a big level: Someone is attacking the city, a family is in danger or the villain wants to take over the world. Here, however, the stakes are that Peter's friends are in danger. Since we have seen them for so long, we had grown fond of them. A threat to them will mean a lot more to us than the threat to a European city. And that's exactly what happens in this movie. This is the kind of a fresh air this movie is able to provide after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

In my opinion this should have been the last MCU movie. The end of the franchise is that everyone now knows who Spider-Man is and all the other Avengers have left earth. So now Peter has become the next Tony. It would have been a huge turnaround since Iron Man, as that movie was the one which showed for the first time that a hero doesn't need to hide their identity. This is a fun movie that can be enjoyed even if one hasn't watched Endgame, since everyone knows about the snap at this point.

The Incredible Hulk isn't very Incredible.
Edward Norton gives a good performance but the concept of Hulk itself just seems tired. There is no new outlook on the hero just simply a repeatedly mediocre take on a very one dimensiona

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a tough one because I'm a huge Spiderman fan but I have trouble with this one because first anyone who knows Mystrio from the comics saw the twist coming from a mile away secondly Peter & MJ relationship seems really forced because before this there was no indication of them liking each other they only shared a few scenes together in homecoming now all of a sudden they like each other no build up nothing plus Holland/Zendaya really don't seem to have chemistry unlike Maguire/Dunst & Garfield/Stone thirdly it doesn't really make sense why would Tony Stark leave weapons of mass destruction in the hands of a teenager instead of someone like rhody or pepper but the film does have some good sequences like the final battle & when Mystrio uses the drones to mess with Peter & the mid credit scene is the best part of the movie but despite that I found the majority of it to be quite boring it's in the okish category Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie was a great refresher after end game. It felt great seeing Tom Holland back in this role, doing it better this time. I felt that Peters character arc was great and the plot twist of Mysterio was handled well. I generally prefer this one more than "homecoming" and really felt this was a well-paced, funny, and joyful experience. Expand

half of the film is good, the film seems to me that you have its ups and downs, because it maintains the essence that characterizes marvel movies but only maybe it introduces new things and risks not being so similar to other movies.

We don’t see his wants or needs as a character. Spider-Man needed to get over the death of Tony. But the film didn’t explore that enough. There's no sense of urgency to push the movie's plot forward. As the epilogue of the spectacular Avengers Endgame, the movie itself was a step away. Expand

From the very beginning, I must mention the negative, which was excellent. Spidey has a modern widget here as well, but this time it fits more into the story. Not that they weren't tuned before, but this time it kind of sat better, and most importantly we got some progress in our relationship with M. J., which the previous film missed so much. Overall, this is an excellent film that I can recommend. But I still think Spider-Man should go outside the Avengers and go his own way. Expand

It does have some flaws, like some filler, predictable twists and one dimensional characters. But the great comedy, the good voice acting and the fantastic visuals makes it a pretty good and a fun watch for everyone!

As fun as Homecoming, with less humour and more action. I may have enjoyed this one more, basically because I thought Mysterio was amazing. On the other side, it doesn't have the first film's charm.

Back in New York and with Iron Man gone, everyone’s asking Spider-Man if he is going to be the new lead Avenger; Holland is an endearing and quick-witted enough presence to suggest he might just be up to the task.

Responsibility, bad luck, few friends, money problems. But when you see this movie you don't have any of those words, instead you get a generic MCU movie without personality. If this movie was from a new character, I would like it and don't even write a review but this film is from Spider-Man. If you ignore that the entire previous film was about learning to be responsable and in this movie he just don't want to be a hero because he wants to date a girl and that's it. In Spider-Man 2 we saw how the entire universe slap Peter in the face any time but in this film he is just lazy. The good aspects of the film are the VFX and the charisma of some actors and that's why you don't get bored too much. The plot isn't that solid and the plot twist are so predictable. It's a fine movie and the worst Spider-Man movie ever. Expand
