Such a great light and entertaining movie. Happiness with Bill Murray is in the small things, and this movie is no different. Interesting story line, fun conversation set in New York. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie.

As a result, she enlists the help of her estranged father (Bill Murray) to get to the bottom of it. I was mostly interested in checking this out since it's the first time Coppola and Murray have collaborated since 'Lost in Translation', which remains one of Murray's greatest performances. And it turns out that they're a winning combination once again, as Murray's wry humor and Coppola's sharp writing pair together perfectly, along with the great chemistry between him and Jones. Moreover, it's full of both fun and touching moments, although the film does start to feel a little safe and predictable as it goes on, and things felt rushed and wrapped up a little too neat and tidy by the end. However, it was still a fun ride while it lasted. Overall, it's heartwarming and fun, and Coppola's and Murray's talents make it worthwhile. Expand

funny, witty, and typical Sofia Coppola. I loved it, and it felt like watching real people talking and discussing about everyday life and problems. Loved it

Bill Murray and Rashida Jones are quite a pair. I loved the dynamics between the two of them. It was a heartwarming movie, entertaining and definitely worth my time.

It may feel like minor work, but still a movie with the power of Bill Murray, Rashida Jones, Sofia Coppola, and A24, and the journey was well worth the time.

In the past, Coppola has taken us dreamingly through suburbia in The Virgin Suicides, Tokyo in Lost in Translation, Versailles in Marie Antoinette, and now the streets, restaurants, and apartments of Manhattan in On the Rocks. The film is understated and pleasant, with Murray stealing the show and the story offering some much needed uplift and comfort. Expand

He doesn't appear for the first 20 minutes or so but I was interested enough in the main story, away from him, anyway so it wasn't too big an issue. I would say that by the end, I'm not sure if I was entirely convinced by what we're told happened but I found it a very enjoyable watch overall anyway. Murrays character, the ladies father, has plenty of slick one liners and manages to talk himself out of numerous situations, the usual. Its a very watchable and somewhat laidback of a film. I enjoyed it, so yes, I'd recommend it. Expand

This is one of the most honest comedy of all the time, so I think, that's why the people doesn't like so much this movie, but for my was great.
