I knew this movie was bad, but WOW, I couldn't have guessed. It's lacking in basic cinema and storytelling 101, like characters reacting to things. Or setting something up before just taking off running with it.

Didn’t love it, I love Jared Leto. I think he did an amazing job like he always DNA’s, But I didn’t like the storyline, it had no character development and storyline had holes in it. Not much here to go on, so thin and meandering. The final climax is so dark and hard to follow, the humor is nowhere to be found. The side and supporting characters are paper thin.

I would not recommend watching this unless if you’re looking for torture methods, but it’s the kind of film you really need to see for yourself to recognize how truly awful it is. Performances are flat and lifeless, the action is messy and muddled, and the writing is the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Events happen out of nowhere, with little to no context. It feels like chunks of this movie are missing. This could be due to a shorter than usual runtime, sloppy editing, or a combination of the two. Sony, stop with these villain/anti-hero movies. I suppose a terrible box office performance could signal the beginning of the end, but we already know of 3 more villain/anti-hero movies in the works and one can only hope they are better than this. The cinematic atrocity, also known as Morbius. Is worse than Suicide Squad(2016). I suppose the only positive takeaway was the meme culture inspired by this film.… Expand

While the trailers weren’t that great and I was expecting it to be a mediocre or okay film, I never thought it would be awful. Then the reviews came out and they were BRUTALLY BAD. But what are my thoughts on Morbius? HOLY SH*T THIS WAS GARBAGE! First the positives, Tyrese Gibson was decent enough and maybe one or two action scenes were okay but that’s about all the positives I can think of from this film, Now the negatives and there’s A LOT of cons. First, The performances range from terrible (Matt Smith’s performance starts off okay, But gets REALLY overly hammy and ridiculous in the second half of the film) to mediocre (Jared Leto), The CGI looks like a cutscene from a Xbox 360/PS3/Wii game, The humor isn’t really good, The action mostly sucks, Considering the character is really violent in the comics the isn’t very bloody because it is held back by it’s PG-13 rating, The post credit scenes are one of the worst I’ve ever seen in a comic book adaptation, And the script is complete and utter garbage. However the film is also somewhat of a “Hilariocity” as there are so many things like the CGI, Action, and So many weird sh*t that were so terrible I couldn’t stop laughing at how awful it was. Even though my expectations weren’t very high, I’m still shocked at how bad this film was and this is a film not worth your time.… Expand

Not a great movie, but was enjoyable because the main character was likable?

No kind of calm after. The movie just ends there. It feels like they wanted to do more but were just too lazy to do it. The actual story is incredibly boring and confusing. Scenes just kind of happen with a very thin reasoning for it. The film doesn’t truly know what it wants to be. There really aren’t any characters here. No one has any sort of character journey or arc. They just do things because the plot tells them to. Matt Smith’s goal in the movie is just that he wants to kill people. This isn’t established at all in the flashbacks or even in the present day. He just wants to. Speaking of Matt Smith, he is easily my favorite aspect of the movie. Call if Doctor Who Bias but Matt Smith knew what this movie should have been. A goofy comic book movie and he absolutely 100% delivers on that. His presence and performance genuinely made this film so much easier to get through and his performance is truly great even if he has no character. Jared Leto is just kind of there. His performance really isn’t good or bad. Not worth doing all of that awful method acting he was doing for this movie. The post credit scene is probably one of if not the worst post credit scenes ever made. It completely character assassinated Michael Keaton’s Vulture in the span of 30 seconds and it feels like an afterthought and that they filmed it the day before the movie released. If you were to see this movie, watch it with friends. It’s probably more enjoyable that way because you’ll most likely being making fun of it the whole time.… Expand

It's Morbin time! I loved how the characters were written in this movie, good effort on the producers part. And the CGI being animated was a cool bonus. This movie endangers the continuity of the MCU, which Sony does not own, I wish they could stop trying to interfere with it and instead start a separate Spider-Man 2099 cinematic universe.

This film is absolutely awful. The side characters are uninspiring and the villain is boring/forgettable. We get that your're in Jared's cult as you give this movie undeserving 10s to balance out the critic score but this movie is painfully bad.

Though, I can't say I'm surprised: The movie had little to know buzz from the first trailer drop, and as far as I know, Morbius himself isn't a popular character to begin with and he more than likely wasn’t going to“Morbius” was... As for Jared Leto......... Cursed! CURSED! CUUUUUURRRRRRSSSSSED! Inability to achieve in a role from a graphic novel series! I normally dunk on Leto for trying too hard in whatever role he's in, but in this film... Dude just mumbles his way through dreary dialog, with very little substance and doesn’t give the audience a reason to care about his character. And don’t even get me STARTED on the villain. Dude was cringe and not even in a fun way.

If I were to give the movie props for TWO things, it would be that the visuals were kinda cool to look at. All the "shadow dashing" was fun to watch and the fights were cool. I also like that the movie was short, and I’m not saying I’m glad the movie was short because it was bad. Like, on God yo, I’m sick of movies being 2.5 – 3 hours long, LET’S HEAR IT FOR SHORT MOVIES!!!… Expand

And this was not worth waiting two years for it and I fought they would took they extra to improve on it since test audience hated what was shown to them . CGI isnt that great.
Sony has no big plan unlike Marvel has. The after credit scenes dont make sense either... The only reason this movie has a score this high is cause of fanboys who act like its aJared leto just isnt doing it for me.
