Without Lucas or Spielberg at the writing/directing helm, Indiana Jones doesnt truly exist and so this really is the best effort possible from others to get close to that original sauce.

Every bit as entertaining as it was sacrilegious. Dial of destiny is an impressive use of the original film cast shot quite nicely with a decent effort to keep the pacing close to the Spielberg style. Sadly the screenplay and casting of Phoebe as an unattractive mary sue sidekick and a bizarre focus on some random CIA agent character really dragged the film along IMO. Still considering how much worse I had expected this to be I was pretty impressed.

A very satisfying end for the Indian Jones series and again a wild and entertaining ride. I salute Harrison Ford, my favourite actor of all times.

It was exciting, adventurous and just plain delightful to watch! The 4th entry which came out 19 years after the 3rd movie was unfortunately not as entertaining but it did have a solid ending that felt like a finale. So to my surprise, 15 years later we now have a 5th entry with an even OLDER Indy! Is this a step up from the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? or is it another pointless sequel?

The first 20 minutes of this movie is a flashback sequence with a de-aged Harrison Ford. It is one of the best sequences in this movie. It gave me a lot of the vibes and energy of the original trilogy. The stunts, staging, and action were classic Indiana Jones. There are some other great action set pieces as well such as the parade sequence and the Tuk Tuk chase which were thoroughly entertaining. The cinematography is also a huge step up from the 4th entry. The movie is pleasant to look at for the majority of the runtime. I am also thankful that there isn't as much CGI and greenscreen as it was in the previous entry. There is still CGI but it isn't as terrible. Additionally, The legendary composer, John Williams, returns and continues to deliver an epic score in Dial of Destiny. On that note, Harrison Ford still has it. He is still great as Indy and I don't get the 'phoning it in' feel that I see with a lot of older actors. This Indy is not as upbeat as he was in the original trilogy and some would even say grumpy. I don't particularly mind it and it was great seeing Harrison deliver some strong, poignant moments as the character. He still has the quip moments that you would expect and Harrison still manages to do it so naturally. Mads Mikkelson plays the Nazi antagonist and I love it. It is genuinely perfect casting. Boyd Holbrook plays the henchman and he is terrific at being so hateable which I enjoyed. Antonio Banderas also has a small role as a friend of Indy and I liked him a lot in his limited role to the point that I wish we got more of him. John Rhys-Davies and Karen Allen return as Sallah and Marion respectively. Both are just cameos but it was nice seeing them back in the final entry.

Sadly, this movie has plenty of issues. The de-aging is just very distracting. Visually, it looks all right but when Indy talks, it looks off. Even worse is the fact that the voice is still that of an 80-year-old Harrison Ford. It does not match the younger face which creates this jarring distraction. This entry is also the longest at 154 minutes and it is very noticeable. Every previous entry was 120 minutes or less and still successfully told a competent story. This one did not need to be that long and could easily cut 20-30 minutes off the runtime. There are so many slow scenes and padding that drag this movie down.

The most annoying aspect of this entry is the sidekick characters. Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays Helena Shaw, Indy's goddaughter. She might be the most dislikable sidekick character in this franchise. Her character is written in a way where she is never truthful, or genuine and is always using Indy in some way for her agenda. She is just constantly at odds with Indy which makes her so annoying. She does get her character development but it comes right near the end of the movie which is way too late. Her development isn't built up organically and just comes off as rather sudden. Even by the end, I am not sure if she even changed that much because her tone comes off as quite arrogant. There are also a lot of pointless characters that didn't add much apart from making the film longer. There is a second sidekick who is a kid named Teddy. He isn't remotely as enjoyable to watch as Short-Round and just felt like he was there so Helena had someone else to talk to. There is also a CIA agent character who added nothing to the plot but took screen time for some reason. Toby Jones plays Helena's dad and is a friend to Indy but he was never in any previous movies. It just comes off as weird to introduce a new friend in a final entry. Overall, this is another disappointing and pointless sequel. There are times when this is way better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull but also many times when it isn't. This entry was created to give a better send-off than Crystal Skull but I don't think it was successful in that. It is still a fine satisfying ending but so was The Last Crusade and Crystal Skull as well. So this entry didn't add anything. Still, it's enjoyable enough of a watch but I hope for the love of God that this is TRULY the FINAL entry.

This is a film that was made to be just entertaining enough to be interesting but this is in now way a good Indiana Jones film, it's average compared to what we had yes even crystal skull.

So why do I give it a 6?, there are some good themes here, they are consistent but everything else is just bad.

You name it.
CGI, music,Villian, characters, story, logic, all of those are done poorly.

Disney please leave these franchises alone, they had their time before make something new. As for you Kathleen, it is clear that you have no idea what you are doing, I still wonder why George even gave his beloved franchises to Disney in the first place, only to be mistreated.

That's all I'm saying, the next thing I may be interested in is the Bethesda IJ game. But if Starfield is just OK, does that mean the IJ game is gonna be mediocre?

Talking about this makes me sad so I'll stop.

1) Since linguistics and narratology have distinguished syntagmatic and paradigmatic for over a century, beginning the first 2/3 of a movie with an interminable chase makes no sense and postpones the start of the story to when the viewer has already been distracted thinking back to Jolie who in "Tomb Raider" (2001) trained hopping from one wall to another of her own villa.
2) De-aging still produces as mediocre effects as Hanks' motion capture in "The Polar Express" (2004).
3) In the name of neofeminism do you want to include a woman as a co-protagonist? Look for someone that lives up to Sean Connery's charisma, Phoebe Waller-Bridge certainly isn't.
4) In the role of the antagonist, Mads Mikkelsen gives his most anonymous performance.
5) Banderas not reported.
6) Extracted from mothballs and formaldehyde, Harrison Ford gives the worst of his career.
7) Spielberg may also be of Jewish origin, not for this reason he is justified in always identifying evil with Nazism.
8) Some emotion comes only when the feature film slows down and allows the deepening of the relationships between the characters, from the "Ear of Dionysus" cavern onwards. "Nobody memorizes every page of their dead father's notebooks for the money" is a joke that is worth the price of the ticket or viewing. The Syracusan part is also unpredictable, iconic and exciting with the meeting between Indy and Archimedes.

The first 15 minute action scene was amazing. But it was all downhill from there.

The positives: it looks incredible. Set design, props and costume design, filmography, sound design, music scores, action sequences, visual FX, everything is outstanding. The artists and technical wizards who create these films should rightly feel proud of what they're doing. The negatives: the script is worse than you can imagine. Disjointed plot that lurches from one scene to another, awkward dialogues that tell you what just happened mere moments ago, and utterly cringeworthy one-liners like "I stole it. It's called capitalism". What kind of mentally stunted ignorant writer thinks that's funny or clever? It's just embarrassing. It's the sort of mumbled nonsense you'd expect from a petulant teenager.

There's a writers strike going on right now and honestly the best thing for the industry would be for them all to find new lines of work. None of the writers in Hollywood are worth a single penny. The film industry would be better off with an AI writing the scripts, because the human writers are incapable of doing the job.

I completely stopped watching with the action race scene in Maroc was accelerated everywhere, and it was very apparent. The acting was average at best. The camera work is janky and moving around too much, almost like a film school student edited it for there first project. I had a great time with this movie. It's not a masterpiece, but it's fun and entertaining. The Dial of Destiny is a good addition to the Indiana Jones franchise.
It takes place in interesting locations, there are a lot of action scenes and a great feeling of adventure.
I don't like how they portrayed Indy as being sad and sulking about his life, and this was a really negative point for me, but it doesn't ruin the movie or anything.
It can be super over the top, but Indiana Jones' movies have always been like that, and it's part of it, it doesn't take itself too seriously and neither should we, it's a cool and entertaining movie.
I am a bit contrary to most Indy fans out there, I really like Crystal Skull and dislike Temple of Doom, I know I'll get hate for saying this, but it's just so you know where I stand when it comes to this franchise.
Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) can be annoying at first, but she manages to become likable as the movie progress. Maybe Harrison Ford was only in it for the money, but he still delivers great acting and I gotta say, the beginning of the movie, with young Indy, is fantastic both in technical terms and scenes, the whole train section was amazing.

The beginning sequence on the train was incredible. The ending into the portal was absolutely fantastic. There were some odd choices like how they used Harrison's current voice for scenes with 80's Indy deep fake, which looked real but still slightly artificial, should have adjusted his voice to match his age at the time as well because he sounded like an old man (which Harrison is today). Mads Mikkelsen is an incredible actor, what a joy to watch. Really enjoyed listening to the main Indy theme soundtrack at the end, perfect summer moment. Overall, a much better film than the previous Crystal Kingdom. Tons of action, beautiful cinematography, lots of fun, solid 8.5/10, highly recommended for all ages and fans of this franchise. Expand

Finally got around to watching this. This adventure did not take me on an adventure. Instead it committed the greatest sin an adventure film can make - it's boring.

Generic: The Film.

And how is it that this movie manages to looks more plastic than the new Barbie film?

Action sequences have no weight since they look very artificial, which is very immersion breaking. The de-aging is off-putting uncanny valley. No clear style in filming that could've supported storytelling. Everything screams generic - from costuming to choreography to writing to lighting to shot composition to editing and mixing.

Plot is filled with conveniences, and the inclusion of a MacGuffin doesn't offer anything unique. No new take or angle on the trope.

Helena's character and her motivations makes no sense, since her character only exists as a plot device. She has no clear personality, and her character fluctuates between scenes so much that there's nothing to get a grasp on. It's impossible to get emotionally invested to a character that's not written to be a true character. I have nothing against the acting, but there's really nothing in the script for her to work with.

But the biggest problem for me... Use of John Williams' score is horrendous in this film. The bombastic music in a major key tries to tell the audience that the heroes are doing something very epic, while a very unimaginative, bland and low-stakes chase scene plays on screen. This contradiction just leaves the viewer baffled as to what they're supposed to be feeling.
Should they cheer with the music? But there's no stakes.
Be nervous? But there's no stakes.
Enjoy the craftmanship of the action scene? But there's no craftmanship involved, just plain copy/paste.

These and many more faults coupled with how long the runtime is makes for a very difficult viewing experience. I do not recommend.

Positives:
The score by itself is nice to listen to.
John Rhys-Davies as Sallah.
Karen Allen as Marion.

2/10.

The film is the fifth chapter of the legendary series on the most famous archaeologist in Cinema, and ends it with a flourish.
For the first time Steven Spielberg is no longer directing, just as George Lucas is absent in the conception and writing of the subject, of the story (but both are still executive producers).
The engaging and interesting screenplay, written by Mangold together with Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and David Koepp, is an exact mix of action and insight.
Although this film comes out 42 years after "Raiders of the Lost Ark", it is set in 1969, 33 years after the 1936 story and picks up the events 12 years after "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull".
It can be considered a better episode than the previous 2008 film, although inferior to the first and third.
Directed by James Mangold works, is effective, and does not make Spielberg regret too much in infusing the work with the right dose of passion, sense of entertainment and irony, on the iconic notes of John Williams.
Formally it is impeccable: the breathtaking style of the sequences - especially the chase ones - goes well with the quality technical-visual sector (scenography, photography, accurate editing; but also the special visual effects that rejuvenate the protagonist are excellent).
The eighty-year-old (but in dazzling form) Harrison Ford is not affected by the passing of time, indeed, with his character he travels through it; while his duets with his goddaughter color the story of a fragile and unexpected humanity (Indy this time is caught in a new perspective, the melancholic and twilight one of the final part of his life and his retirement from academic life, but also the one that he sees uneasily in a world that begins to flow differently and in which he doesn't know if he's ready to face one more last race).
The rest of the cast is all in part (Mads Mikkelsen as villain is convincing. Phoebe Waller-Bridge brilliantly manages to play Helena, making her shrewd and feisty – with her self-sufficiency, audacity and resourcefulness, she carries an echo of the past, rekindles the enthusiasm for adventure and gives new life to Indiana Jones. Finally, Ethann Isidore, who gives the face to the very young Teddy, can't help but make one think of the Ke Huy Quan present in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom"), and their characters they show a very touching human frailty (Sallah, played by John Rhys-Davies, driving Indy to the airport, tells him he misses waking up every morning wondering what adventure the day will bring).
Associated with the theme of the inevitable passing of the years is also the idea of Time travel (one's problems cannot be erased by changing the past, but one can always remember the good that a person has given and experienced...).
The archaeological mystery linked to the Antikythera machine built by Archimedes is truly intriguing and also gives meaning to the last adventure of an Indiana Jones who lived for a long time in the past and now has to rediscover himself and the importance of the present.
In terms of narrative construction and staging, there is perhaps a lack of authentic and intense charm (sense of wonder, epic scope and original ideas), but the film, which moves between nostalgia and vitality, is nonetheless very enjoyable and pleasant. The film is a thrilling and exciting adventure, which, between evocative atmospheres and great entertainment, good rhythm and final emotion, greets the saga with respect and affection. Score: 7 / 7.50 out of 10

The opening with young Indy gave me hope, but much like the sour elderly Jones I too quickly fell into despair. Nothing in the film justifies its existence and each scene merely passed the baton in a relay of mediocrity. It commits the greatest cinematic sin of being boring, and makes me yearn for simpler times of at least being able to laugh at Shia swinging with the monkeys.

I don’t think I’ve seen a film ever so blatantly hate it’s own core conceit. When Jones spews positivist refrains about archeology being a science and dismissing mysteries and wonder, the director dispels any magic the franchise might have had left. That calculating scientific approach might explain the hollow formulaic script, with unlikable characters and cheap sets that makes me appreciate the crystal skull in a whole new light.

I cannot help but ask why does this film exist? For what crime are we being punished? The film closes with the question to Jones about what he would change about the past, the answer should be obvious — never make this movie.

Probably not. Could I have told if it wasn't for the Interwebz? Probably not. Would I love to see Indy on a giant suspension bridge hundreds of meters above a crocodile infested roiling river, clothes hanging in shreds from a shredded body, instead of a Goonies sized bridge across a small waterway? Yeah. Is Harrison Ford 80 years old? Yeah.
Man. It's Indy. It was fun. My son had fun. It won't win awards and I won't pretend it's memorable. But we got Indy back for one last - decent - ride - that's good enough in my book. My only real complaint is that they should have given Marion more to do...also Mutt RIP (good decision).

We both absolutely loved it. Ok, I changed my review to a 10. I did this because besides Raiders of The Lost Ark this is the only other Indiana Jones movie that I want to see again on the big screen. It was that good. I do wish all the Disney haters would see Dial of Destiny again. Maybe then they can dig down deep and realize it's a great action movie. I know Indiana Jones is a lot older now but, all of us who were adults when the first one came out are older too! It happens to us all. I still watch the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular every time I go to Hollywood Studios. Indiana Jones will live forever. Expand

Another classic character destroyed by the Disney/Lucasfilm machine. It’s beautiful irony that the concept of “capitalism” critiqued in this movie will lead to it losing 100s of millions for the studio

While she does spend too much time providing unfunny comic relief, her character is in no way disrespectful to men. That being said, I have mixed feelings about “Dial of Destiny”. Early in the film, there is a thrilling chase scene that takes place at a parade in New York. It was really cool to see Indy in a 1960’s setting. Unfortunately, the entire second act feels lethargic, since it takes place in the middle of the ocean.
I have more thoughts, but I’d either be beating a dead horse with all the reviews already posted, or giving spoilers. Overall, I prefer “Dial of Destiny” over “Crystal Skull”. Whereas that movie was utterly mediocre, there are things to like in this one. But don’t expect it to be as good as the classic trilogy.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For a long-time fan of the Indiana Jones movies, it was a bummer to see them go out not with a bang but with a whimper. It was completely soulless, with the main, but not the only, reason being that Harrison Ford's face was superimposed on a stunt man's head and de-aged for way too long at the beginning. I found myself unable to move past this shockingly bad use of CGI and enjoy the rest of the movie. Also, things are rarely explained; the film just moves from one action set piece to the next with seemingly no raison d'etre. We don't get to spend enough time with these characters to learn about or start empathizing with them before they start running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The action sequences are very tame for an installment in a film series that has yielded some of the most thrilling action scenes of all time. Probably the most disappointing experience I've ever had at the movies, and an embarrassment for all involved. I blame Disney and Harrison Ford for beating this dead horse. Not sure if it sucked because Lucas and Spielberg sat this one out, but that's most likely the case. Having seen the film, I honestly couldn't tell you whether James Mangold has ever seen an Indiana Jones movie in his life. The film seemingly had nothing in common with the previous ones in the series. It made Crystal Skull look like a work of art. Time for a reappraisal of that film, anyone? Expand

Some scenes, especially the intro and the scenes in the cave, are so overly dark that it is hard to make things out. This was obviously to cover up shoddy effects work, most of which looked poor and definitely brought down the movie. This thing looked awful and there is no excuse for it considering the money that was sunk into this. The action sequences are equally unappealing. They happen far too frequently and last way too long. During the first half of the film, you never had a moment to just enjoy it. It was just numbing action sequence after action sequence.

As for what little pros this film does have. The plot, which does include time travel, is fine. Mads is great as the villain. Other than that, It's a forgettable entry that had me checking my watch constantly to see how much time I had left. I contemplated leaving many times because I was so bored with it. Crystal Skull is a way better send-off for Indiana than this trash. Dial of Destiny is a shallow cash grab and nothing more.

What a disappointment. And some people say Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was bad. Well this one is far worse.
The movie in a way tricks you in the first 15 to 20 minutes of the beginning of the movie, where it seems it's actually going to be good. But after that it's not even downhill, it's instead jumping off a cliff with no parachute.

This movie despite all the de-aging done to Harrison Ford, it can't perform in any way that saves it.
Indy is pretty finished. And not just in age, his life if like a bottomless pit of misery and nothing to live for.
And the search for the artifact as well as the artifact itself, is a painstaking nightmare. The movie is too slow paced, enemies just know where characters will be just because, no explanations needed.
As for Helena Shaw, Disney again delivers us another almost Mary Sue, that knows everything, knows how to almost everything, she doesn't care one bit what Indy has to say and even leaves him hanging more than once. In essence what to Disney is the "strong female character".

The movie is too long, boring, repetitive, the characters are too unreal even for fiction, the action scenes were clearly recorded in studio using green screen, and it basically ends where it started.

There's almost nothing worth saving in this movie, and definitely nothing worth watching again. Might as well have left things as they were in Crystal Skull, seeing that at least there Indy married the love of his life and discovered he had a son. Both things he no longer has in Dial of Destiny.

The story was incredible, the acting superb, and really, what else is needed from an Indiana Jones movie?

Felt the film's script was a little cheesy, too many chase scenes, movie is overly reliant on CGI and the de-aging of Harrison Ford, I felt, was distracting and didn't do the movie justice. And for good measure, I had rewatched Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull - my two least favourite Indy movies - before seeing this new movie. And this was a pleasant surprise! Very pleasant even! Maybe the first quarter of the film, I wasn't too convinced yet, but I opened my heart, and I did love the film! Absolutely better than the fourth one, for sure.

Now, was this movie needed? That's a tricky question. If Indiana Jones 4 didn't exist, then no, this new one would feel unnecessary. But in the real world, this Indiana Jones 5 offers a rather entertaining epilogue. And now, I almost feel bad that the film apparently couldn't find an audience. If you were a fan of Indiana Jones, but were disappointed by Indiana 4. do give this new movie a chance, this might just bring you the closure that you didn't know you needed.

IMDB declined this review; like they decline most of my reviews:

This film is an abomination. Truly. It is the same tired trope that Disney Lucasfilm simply, like an addict, cannot stop using. Ah yes, the female "girl boss"; who actually is the protagonist, who really is fundamentally unlikeable, who does everything as well as or better than Indy, and adds next to nothing to the film. She insults Indy and I couldn't help but think her insults were actually Kathleen Kennedy's actual opinions. She is a carbon copy of Indiana Jones but instead of being charming, she is ugly both inside and out.

Indy, of course, is a sad, tired, and washed up shadow of his former self. He has lost everything that was once important to him. Kind of like Luke Skywalker, kind of like Han Solo, kind of like Boba Fett, kind of like Obi-Wan Kenobi, kind of like the dead Madmartigan from Willow. The only Disney Lucasfilm characters that broke that mold were from Andor & Mandalorian.....which of course are Disney Lucasfilm's only good shows. Mandalorian has been ruined in its third season due to the resurgence of the same girl boss pattern. Disney Lucasfilm hates its male heroes and guess what? The audience is absolutely sick of it. This film is bombing at the box office because it offers the same old woke tropes and it also is just an incoherent mess. I thought that all of the hate was probably just exaggeration. Nope. It is justified. I felt like walking away from this film after an hour. It's hard to sit through.

The characters are universally terrible. The CIA woman is so badly miscast. The henchmen end up killing professors for no reason so I guess they are just cartoonishly evil? The chase scenes are boring because I don't even care about the characters. Ah, who am I kidding.... I am not going to go through all of the problems this movie has because I would be here all day. It is the shining gem of Hollywood's disfunction. What an absolute disaster of a film. 2/10 Only out of respect for Harrison Ford and John Williams.

The action was pretty good, but it was pretty much the only part of the movie that was pretty good (well, one surprise in the ending was pretty funny too, though I am not sure if that was intentional). The story has more plotholes in it than Swiss cheese, to the point where every ten minutes me and my friend would laugh about one ridiculous plothole or another. Events happen that contradict all logic and characters have some weird ability to be exactly where the plot needs them to be without any logical explanation for them being there. Based on everything we knew about the movie, I thought it was gonna be bad or mediocre, but it was actually great. Now, I don't expect anyone to agree, it's for sure a hot take, but to me, this movie was everything I didn't think it would be. The first 15 or so minutes where Harrison Ford is de-aged is fantastic. The adventure starts with a Nazi encounter (what else?) when the titular object is lost. Fast forward to the 70s, when Jones is retiring and his goddaughter shows up (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) with news of the location of that device. As expected, the narrow escapes and chases are numerous. Most of them are rather unexciting and shot/edited in the chaotic style where you can't tell what's happening. The dialogue never sparkles and the characters are uninteresting stereotypes. The final act just completely abandons all reality and interest. While there is lots of action, it never reaches the level of surprise, tension or fun that we've come to expect. Expand

Every 'Indiana Jones' movie has had at least one memorable moment while this one has none, which is pretty surprising since even 'Crystal Skull' had fridge scene (which was memorable, but for the wrong reasons). It feels pretty sanitized for an Indiana Jones movie as well, as we never see any of the goofy gruesome death scenes for the villians. Wasn't really bothered by the de-aged Harrison Ford, nor did I get any 'woke' vibes that some people are complaining about. The CGI wasn't terrible, but it did get a bit distracting during the train sequence, especially since a lot of it could have been done with practical effects.

Ford and Waller-Bridge have moments that are almost interesting, but for the most part it's a pretty tepid pairing in the movie, as is the inclusion of discount Short-Round. Kind of wish they had just brought Mutt back, but it is what it is. The villain is pretty middle of the road as well, though I'm still trying to figure out how he survived being smacked in the face by a pole while falling off a speeding train. As far as the whole time travel thing goes, it's not bad (WAY better than aliens), but I think it should have been handled differently. Overally, pretty 'meh.' Not the worst thing ever, but save your money and rent/stream it. Any die hard fans of the franchise are going to be massively disappointed, but perhaps less so than they were with 'Crystal Skull.'

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This has to be one of the worst movies i have ever seen. I got a free ticket with the Applebees promotion ad was dumb enough to see this thing. I wanted to walk out of the cinema so many times. Who thought it would be a good idea to have a movie about an 80 year old Indiana Jones? Fors is just way too old to still be in action movies. But the worst part of the movie is Waller-Bridge who i would say is a very unattracive person. Not only is she is she unattractive, in the movie she is insufferable, always telling Indy what to do, and putting him down. They made her the main character to push Indy around.
If you are a fan of Indiana Jones, do not see this trash movie. The ending is the worst to a movie i have ever seen. Get this, Indy gets shot and is fatlally wounded, before going through a time portal to the time of the Romans. He says to Helana that he wants to stay in that time period, then gets nocked out by Helana (how does that scrwany female knock Indy out??). Then she somehow drags him back to the plane, flies back through the portal, gets Indy medical attention, and takes him to his apartment where the scene cuts to him waking up. You have been warned. Go see it if you feel like wasting money and almost 3 hours of your life.

When will Hollywood, in all their Wisdom and Grandeur, the moral lighthouses of our time, stop trying to teach us what to think, what to say and what words to use. In history this was tried 2 times: under Stalin and under the fachists. Both time they miserably failed.

Bad, just bad. Apparently the girl does not need any morals. Killing, stealing and so on is just fine. Since when. Indiana Jones used to be about ideals, sense of wonder, adventure. Not this ****

Indiana Jones is a side character in his own movie. he is portrayed as old and washed up man with nothing to live for. Which makes zero sense considering Crystal Skull ended with him being very happy. They shoud have a grown up Shortround in the movie, not an insufferable Waller Bridge that is just in the movie to push aroud and belittle Indiana. Save your money and see something else instead. This movie should never have been made.
To the people that love this movie, did you love seeing Indiana getting belittled and pushed around by the insufferable Helana. Did you love it when she tried to kill Indiana on multiple occasions. Waller Bridge is a male repellant. Put her in any movie, and males won't see it.

The only good part about this movie is the first 20 minutes then it is completely derailed by a story that is just nonsense and its actually boring. I can't believe this is how they close off this epic character. I now agree 100% with the reviews and the 3 is for the first 20 mins they got right. Expand

Not as bad as Crystal Skulls, not as good as Temple of Doom. Its a shame Disney couldn't have given Indie a better send off.

Both casting (except Mads Mikkelsen) and acting was very basic. They got no further than aiming their weapon or throwing a punch. Disney destruye completamente al personaje, y no solo eso, hay que comparar el trailer y la película para ver como nos quieren engañar y que la película trata de otra cosa y se enfoca en hacer ver ridículo a Indiana Jones.

I know a lot of people are crying about the “wokeness” of PWB but I really didn’t care one way or the other. I didn’t think she was good per se, but she is the least of this films problems. The ending was as silly as a “Fast” movie which is fine if you’re expecting schlock but terrible for an Indy movie. The de aging on Harrison’s face is very good tho. Expand

It's the Jungle Cruise effect that Disney tries every time. Ford's acting was fine, such as it was, but Phoebe Waller-Bridge is insufferable and lacks any charisma whatsoever. Framing the US as the enemy in the film, as Nazis no less, was just an insult for a July 4th weekend film. It was boring, lacked practical effects, and looked artificial. There was some serious uncanny valley in almost every shot. Mishandling this film and franchise, after so much fail with Star Wars, it is clear that Disney has reached a new low. It is a forgettable film that is poorly executed and poorly cast. Expand

O final ficou absurdamente lindo.
