Before I went to the cinema, I knew nothing about the film, neither the genre nor the directors. When the movie ended, I still didn’t really know what it was but I was sure of one thing, it was amazing. The more I think about it, the more I realize that this film has no real flaw. The action scenes are very beautiful and we feel all the love of the directors for the films of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. The editing is very fluid and pleasant. The film is well rhythmic, you never get bored. The writing is as touching as it is funny. This film is really impressive, it surprises us every second. You never really know what you’re watching, you alternate between sf and family drama. This film is really a new breath in the current film industry, an author’s blockbuster that never suffers from its low budget and that could become for the next generation of filmmakers a revolutionary film as was the first Matrix (whose film is inspired ) by its positivity, its universal message, and its cinematic qualities. Absolutely one of, if not my favorite movie of all time

It's near impossible to spoil this movie, even if i were to explain the plot in painstaking detail. It still won't diminish that cathartic feeling you're left with when the credits role around. This is to the films credit and it's rare to discover a film where the sum of all it's parts successfully elevate the whole so completely. This movie should have stumbled in it's near unmatched ambitiousness but instead, somehow, it incorporates slice of life, comedy, drama, sci-fi, martial arts, romance, coming of age and existential philosophy into an unforgettable package resulting in laughs, intrigue, adrenaline, and deep contemplation about the meaning of life itself. I laughed and cried along with the majority of the audience.

On a side note, don't believe the people saying this movie has forced diversity or has pandering elements. It doesn't, whatsoever. I think they conflate the diversity of the cast with pandering which is really terrible logic.

The acting was stellar, cinematography and editing on point and the storytelling didn't let up for one moment. A masterpiece deserving of your undivided attention. Go see it now!

So let's just stop this endless battle of maintaining our superiority over others for a second, and be kind. Please.
Be kind.
Nothing matters. Everything's pointless. We are a speck of dust in this universe. And our existence or absence isn't going to change anything.
But, right now, at this moment,we are here. You and I are here. We all are here.Together.Hand in hand. So let's be kind. Let's be **** kind to each other.

P.S. Too much psyched to write anything about the film. Had to wipe off my tears continuously.
Gonna rewatch it soon and hopefully, that time won't be this much ecstatic. Won't say its completely flawless, but what Everything Everywhere All at Once achieves is becoming more and more rarer in this age of postmordern cinema.

This might be the best movie ever made.

I compare it to The Matrix.
Despite it's comedy accent the main value or truth shown in the film is a life recipe.
A very good one indeed:
- "kill people with kindness"
- "be proactive"
- "deal with things instead avoiding them"
- "make decisions and be proud of them"
The movie shows new concept of "matrix". It is no longer a virtual reality, but a multiverse driven by decisions. It reminds me of theory of everything combined with boltzmann brain concept.

Actors did a great job and stay true to their roles.
Not even for a second could I thought about them being unrealistic.

To my personal taste this is the best movie ever made.

Through out my life, I have always been a positive and loving person, but lately, due many circumstances and events, I became a much more negative and sad person. The movie, in the beginning, only reinforced this perception and message of "nothing matters, everything is worthless". But right after convincing me, it showed how desperately wrong I was. It reminded me of acceptance, positivism and the ability to love and help those around me, that even though I must strive to be my best self, I, am, Enough... Expand

But after rewatching it after some time, I am convinced that it is the best form of any storytelling I have ever come across. Granted, I haven't watched, read or played every movie/show/play, book or game ever created in the many languages that exist. But of the significant portion of my life I have spent experiencing stories and my subjective & biased parameters for what an exceptional form of storytelling should ideally be based on, I am certain that this movie is the best I've come across yet.

Why do I think that?

Because it combines the most investigated philosophical question of the purpose of life, the most complex metaphysical theory of multiverses and the most consistently prevalent emotions of hope & despair, all together, in 150 minutes that span almost every storytelling genre there is.

And it does this with a series of truly extraordinary & powerful acting performances, elegantly simple yet extremely compelling dialogues, absurdist yet coherent editing & transitions and one of the most narratively complementary cinematography ever.

Furthermore, the exceptionally intelligent use of various styles of humour, balanced with a metaphorical yet deeply compassionate use of relationships, to construct a narrative that - though may appear comically-absurd & entertaining on a casual first-watch - is actually so much more; being consistently deliberate, methodical & profound on a second viewing.

All this coalesces into a unique emotional journey - with an abundance of excellent humour - that inevitably transitions to a rollercoaster ride of hope crescendos & despair diminuendos, while offering convincing justifications for these ebbs and flows, concluding in an extremely cathartic & appropriate ending.

Everything Everywhere All at Once - as the title suggests - is truly a story about everything, everywhere, told all at once. It's the most conclusive story of existence. And as cliched and inaccurate its ultimate moral may seem, it ingeniously conveys it in the single most hopeful & captivating manner possible.

And that's why it is the best form of any storytelling I have ever come across.

Every small element of this masterpiece was expertly crafted and there were 0 parts at which I felt needed improvement. The story was a beautiful and fluid masterpiece. The sound design was astounding and sudden, with perfect precision for comedic timing and suspenseful timing. The humour was excellent, with a wide range of modern humour, old people humour and even dirty humour, though whenever a joke was made which I wasn't interested in, it was something so 'on the side' as an extra that it gave no detriment to the scene. The cinematography was the best of its kind, including sudden dramatic shot changes with beautiful transitions. I have never seen better camera work or cinematography in my entire life. The acting was incredible, with the perfect cast of emotional characters which you could really feel for. At no point was it at obvious it was a production. Even the subtitles were warping with the camera effects! The set design was soo good and really did a good job at holding the scenes. The fighting sequences were unmatched with perfect timing and consistency. I love action sequences of that sort in movies, and these were the most incredible fight sequences I have ever seen. Absolutely astounding. The greatest work in any film I have ever seen, and is my new personal favourite movie of all time. Expand

É sobre valer a pena cada segundo, e "Everything Everywhere All at Once" valeu.

Marvel, se curve!

This movie is well-acted, features particularly stunning visual effects, and possesses dialogue and writing that presents hopefulness and emotion without succumbing to anything that feels cheesy or forced. It possesses enough subtlety for people to interpret the movie's themes in whatever way they wish.

While this movie has received a great deal of positive attention after its release, it pleases me greatly to say that the praise feels earned. It is a beautiful, endearing and powerful narrative about love, philanthropy, and making our own meaning in a world that often feels senselessly and relentlessly cruel.

I liked that its set in such a domestic, dare I say particularly boring setting as an IRS office. The visual effects are great - I liked the cartoon strip feel to some effects in particular (I won't elaborate so as not to provide potential spoilers). I found it difficult to follow all the plot details but I certainly wouldn't say that affected my enjoyment of the film overall. Watching the fast paced fight scenes reminded me a little of kung fu or samurai films of the 1970s. At times Chinese songs are played in the background and it was nice to see the various family members speaking in their (I assume) mother tongue. As over the top as it undoubtedly is for the most part, there is a point in which things slow down significantly - that is somewhat poignant. I should perhaps note that a fair amount of the dialogue is in either Mandarin or Cantonese, hence subtitles are often present, which may or may not put you off it. Its a very engrossing and yet also somewhat baffling film, with a quirky, arty feel to it to an extent but enough mainstream CGI to entertain the audience well, I reckon. It's definitely a film to re-watch, as I was left thinking 'what did I just see?' by the end.

Needless to say, I would definitely recommend this film, yes.

“Morbius”? Never heard of it! “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”? Literally who?! Never heard of it! “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”? Literally who?! Man, stop paying attention to all this mainstream, normie-ass hoopty-doopty-ass rubbish, and go watch a quality movie. I am, of course, referring to “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”

Brought to us by the same creative minds as “Swiss Army Man,” “Everything Everywhere All At Once” is a purposeful and profound experience. This film had me laughing in a way that I haven’t laughed in a movie theater in a long time, and even had me getting a bit teary eyed at certain parts. There were even a couple of scenes that managed to crack me up and tug at my heart strings at the same time. All of this, coupled with AMAZINGLY well choreographed fight scenes creates a brilliant movie that hits every mark. I don’t want to get into too much detail, as everyone should experience this movie with as little information as possible just for the sheer “Rollercoaster Effect” that this movie has on it’s viewers.

It's so refreshing to watch a movie that isn't a reboot, or a remake or a reimagining of something else! This is easily one of the best movies of 2022 and I can’t see too many other movies topping it. 9/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everything everywhere all at once. This movie is over the place, dreamy, 天马行空. It uses the facade of multiverse to discuss real family problems. Every small decision we make has huge implication in our life and other universe. The fighting scene reminds me a lot of The Matrix- uploading skill pack. The first 30 mins audience can still try to understand it. But after that, it’s just impossible to grasp. Director is great at using slow mo, cinematography, and music to manipulate audience emotions- basically an intense emotional roller coaster. The simplest way to understand this movie is that lady has a lot of stress- from IRS audit, from divorce request, from daughter being gay and abandoned family, from father’s disapproval, etc. Everything is fake and in her head and she’s trying to find resolution. She finally found peace at the end. Such a complicated but beautiful movie Expand

There are new, unique, and well-executed ideas in its story, cinematography and so much more. It's very entertaining, and even as someone who isn't as onboard with the movie's type of jokes, I still found it very fun. It's also very emotionally heartfelt and had some moments that were undeniably hard-hitting, even though I couldn't truly personally relate to most of the characters and their struggles.

The only negatives, which are rather insignificant in comparison to everything the movie does right, is that its pace, in the beginning, is pretty sluggish and it continues to explain how its world works even though it has already given all the information needed to get it. The most nagging issue for me, although, is how blatantly clear it is what the movie is a metaphor for. When it's so apparent what the movie is actually about, it puts the necessity of the framework by which the story is told into question.

Nevertheless, it's a fantastic movie, the performances are stellar, especially from Stephanie Hsu and Ke Huy Quan, and I'd highly recommend the movie to just about anyone.

The film, which won seven Academy Awards, was directed by Daniels. He co-directed only two films, Swiss Army Man and this one. Nevertheless, he beat Spielberg at the Oscars.

The film was produced by A24, a company with tremendous momentum, which also produced The Whale and Aftersun in the same year. He released this film at a time when he had a lot of momentum, but it was not expected at first.

Although Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and other somewhat familiar actors were in the film, supporting actor Kee Hui Quan had not had a prominent role since The Goonies, and the rest were new actors. However, the performances by the cast were excellent, and in total, the film received four Oscar nominations, three of which were won.

At the beginning of the film, Michelle Yeoh runs a dry-cleaning business and is a realistic protagonist with a gay daughter, a difficult dry-cleaning business, a noisy father, and an unreliable husband. Later, her husband arrives from another world claiming a crisis in the multiverse, and she is quickly pulled away from reality, but in the end, she settles for a realistic ending. It is easy to explain why this film is so beloved. It offers unrealistic, exciting fun and settles on a simple theme of family love. The characters are all flawed but lovable, and after watching the film, you love the film itself. The film is also rated R, which means it is suitable for adults. It is a good opportunity for adults to rethink the idea of family love.

There are glimpses of Daniels' humor in the film. He does ''funny things'' when he moves to another multiverse. Eating lip balm, saying I really love you... these are all apparently Daniels' ideas. It was a bizarre and funny film that was nominated for 11 Oscars and won 7, but I don't know if it was the right one. I don't know if I got it right, because my favorite film, The Fablemans, was nominated for 7 categories but didn't win any of them.

'Everything Everywhere All at Once' is funny, exciting, bonkers, and very original. It reminded me a lot of 'The Worst Person in the World;' it doesn't matter if you're the worst being in the multiverse, there'll always be something you're good at. It's just a matter of finding it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was a fun film that keeps you very entertained through out. Michelle Yeoh does great at pretending like she doesn't know martial arts even though that's her extensive film history. And I like that this film isn't afraid to get weird. What did make me lose a bit of interest was the climax. It got too convoluted with all the time lines that the shots cutting to the universes back and forth was breaking up the pace just so it could force tying up each version of her with a happy ending. The balancing of tones, storylines, plants and payoffs — it's like watching a high-wire act involving the juggling of both chainsaws and puppies at the same time. Daniels, however, end up excelling in nearly every intangible facet. Notwithstanding a couple structural issues I had towards the end of the film, this is an emotionally satisfying, superbly realized adventure, with resonant thematics and gut-busting laughter. Hoping the duo at hand has many, many more projects like this in the works. Expand

From there, Evelyn explores and fights her way across multiple universes in search for answers and discovers the importance and value of her family along the way. First off, this film is absolutely bonkers! Nothing could have prepared me for just how wild and off-the-walls insane this one would be! It was almost kind of a sensory overload for me at times to be completely honest. However, that's not to say that I didn't enjoy myself immensely while watching this, because I absolutely did! There's a little bit of everything in this film to enjoy (hence its title perhaps). From subtle winks and nods to other films, to being an all-out Love letter to Kung Fu cinema, this one offers up so much without ever really slowing down much! The fight scenes are expertly choreographed and unbelievably impressive, and the multiverse story, though it's been explored quite a bit in recent films (*cough* *cough* 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' *cough*), this one still manages to feel fresh and unique enough and brings so much zany and innovative ideas to the table that most will be able to completely overlook this aspect like I did! As for the performances, Michelle Yeoh gets her much overdue starring Hollywood role with this film and shines brilliantly in every single way! She'll have you rooting and crying for her from start to finish! Ke Huy Quan (who's now all grown up from being a Goonie and aiding Dr. Jones as Shortround) Expand

But when they break out of the mould, theySome critics say the art of cinema is saturated with superheroes and stories that don't bring anything useful to the audience. That they don't challenge them, and they're not inventive enough. But when they break out of the mould, they dismiss them as too ambitious and complicated for those same audiences.
So what the hell are we doing? Or are they telling the crowd they're too dumb?

And I comment on this because one of the many things I've heard about this film is that it would be too much for the average audience, but that's not the case at all.

Everything Everywhere All at Once is perhaps a film that pushes its concept a bit too far, but that doesn't make it any less appealing. Because as far as I could tell, once its plot explodes, the chaos of everything it presents is the cornerstone of the story, and therefore you must embrace that chaos.

The irony of it all is that in the end it's actually a pretty ordinary story.
Yes, of course, it is still an emotional, philosophical and profound journey through a complex narrative device such as the multiverse, but the underlying idea is still a story in which its protagonist must confront and question everything about her life. From her family to the decisions and failures that have brought her to the point where she finds herself when it all begins.

Perhaps the teaching addressed in its conclusion is nothing earth-shattering, but the journey to reach it was thoroughly entertaining, chaotic and exhilarating, and that was something really, really good.

And above all, what a great performance by Michelle Yeoh. She is the absolute captain of this film. Her co-stars do a great job too, but this is her show.

This is not the movie I wanted, but it was the movie I needed. It's flawed, goofy and illogical at times, but it works, it's fresh, unique, and I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but then I got hooked as the movie started to develop.
I felt connected to the main character (Evelyn) struggles because at it's core, the movie is not supposed to be a hero's story, but a personal, intimate and complex story about everyday life, it's about family, choices, sacrifice, resentment and how the same situation can be perceived as something awful someone might want to escape while others might dream about it.
The whole multiverse idea, the fighting, the verse jumps can be inconsistent and even ridiculous but as soon as you accept it, it becomes entertaining and everything starts to connect as you start seeing the metaphors and the character's progression.
The acting of Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are both phenomenal and well deserving of the Oscars they won, they really immerse themselves in the characters and personify to perfection the essence of the movie.
The camera work is creative and I caught myself complementing it a few times while watching, some might say it breaks the immersion, but I find it interesting and entertaining.
Colors look good and they match the tone of each scene.
Overall, it's a great movie and I'm glad they won the Best Picture Oscar because it actually made me feel everything everywhere all at once.

A fun story about a mother, father, and daughter and they change their own views on each other and the family. Well acted and charming use of sci-fi themes to move the story along. Quite entertaining and gets a "well worth watching" from us.

Seems like everybody makes a Multiverse movies nowadays. I'm a fan of Michelle Yeoh since Police Story 3... she lately for the past couple of years kinda have a renaissance in her acting career... she is everywhere... movies and TV.

Of all the movies she's in...I think she never play a role that carry a movie... she always part of ensembles. This is the best movie she's ever in that shows how great of an actor she is. She not just have a wide acting range... she have ALL the range.

This is the movie that her agent need to put in the top of her resume as reference when sending to movie studio for casting.

The movie itself kinda amazing... a beautiful chaotic mess, action packed, funny and emotional... I love how Multiverse were explained in the movie and the approach to Multiverse itself is very unique and new. The jump pad where they tap into Multiverse skills are hilarious. The only one negative for me is the 3rd act... somehow the film maker couldn't find a way to neatly wrapped up the conclusion. Since it is a beautiful mess that are chaotic... the 3rd act keep going on and on and it become exhaustive. The runtime is around 2 hours... it could be tighten into 1 hour 45 minutes. HIGHLY... highly recommended... 8/10... the actor who played the husband is the kid in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and The Goonies... he done a lot of acting work since then but I always remember him from that 2 movies.

Very ambitious multiversal drama. I honestly was not expecting this movie to be built around a family delivered through a multiverse of astounding scenes and imagery but I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued by it. Particularly impressedVery ambitious multiversal drama. I honestly was not expecting this movie to be built around a family delivered through a multiverse of astounding scenes and imagery but I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued by it. Particularly impressed by the brilliant Michelle Yeoh and the underhyped performance of Ke Huy Quan.

However, considering the high standards the movie sets for itself - despite the brilliance of its characters, how the story is told, and how the movie's plot unfolds, and - if Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is perceived as the fast-paced drama it is albeit set across a multiverse: The movie underdelivers. To be clear, yes, the movie borrows a lot from multiple genres but at its core it is mostly a drama.

In that light, it struggles to provide sufficient emotional fulfillment by the end of the movie and all the brilliance of the movie's methodology amounts to little. It also fails to deliver anything new or unique to match its multiversal ambitions, undermining its brilliance with a bagel. Point being: The movie shows that it can tell its story across a multiverse but ultimately does not prove that it has a reason to do so.

Also, while Stephanie Hsu was good for the most part, I think she perhaps lacked a functional range to portray the varieties of her character. Thus contributing to the emotional gap at the end of the movie.

Overall, it's a mostly superb movie, seriously original and put together with Oscar worthy editing. If there was one Oscar this movie would easily win, it would have to be for the editing work.

Great action, compelling characters, and cleverness make for the most refreshing film experience I've had in a long time. Only qualms would be the sometimes Youtube-quality VFX and occasionally annoying line deliveries.

Overall, I personally

Overall, I personally loved it, and I'd recommend it to almost anybody.
