This is the best Marvel movie I have ever seen! Period! It was bloody, gory, violent, and absolutely hilarious! Ryan Reynolds is absolutely perfect as Deadpool, at least he was better this time than he was the last time he played Deadpool!

The script was awfully awkward, the jokes rudimentary funny. Paradoxically, the target audience (kids) can't watch the movie because it's R rated, and those who can watch it, have long grown up from that type of humor. What could be initially seen as captivating, its self irony, ends up in failure. It's a silly kind of self irony that can only appeal to the simple minded.

Sadly, it was a scarcely funny, often awkward, movie.

It is intended for adults, please dont take your kids to this... It happens far too often and it has caused too much controversy because people think all superhero films should be "family friendly"

Deadpool is an anti-hero, not a superhero. He is not mentally stable, nor is he sane. This movie has a ton of adult content that is not even close to considered acceptable for childrens eyes. A family brought 10 children to the theater I went to, day after opening day... My friends and I were wondering what kind of parent thought it was a good idea to bring them?

If you dont know who deadpool is, or if you don't like deadpool, this movie will come across as average.

The movie is good and honors how Deadpool IS, he is true to his look in the comic books, another source the people that thought it was a standard superhero movie forgot. He isn't a hero, of course he is going to be like that...

The moive in my opinion wasn't that funny, funny but nothing crazy. But the thing is this movie is't geared towards me. This movie is made for the fans, not really for your average joe. A few X-men cameos if you want to call it that were great and did well for the movie. An okay love story, a Deadpool love story. The action was great, pacing was good (unlike my reviews). Would I suggest this movie? Yes, if you love comic book movies, action and stupid jokes. No if your looking for something like the The Avengers, or something with a deep story, and serious. Expand

Nevertheless there is one detail that needs to be discussed. Although the dialogue is funny, the cinematography is not. It feels dull and boring. Deadpool had the ability to create comedy solely based on the cinematography and even enhance the jokes a bit, but it did not. It feels that Deadpool was a movie that could be juiced out a bit more but it didn't. There are a few other things that I am too lazy to right about, but who cares. Expand

No offense to the professionals who do this for a living, but the critics are dead wrong with this. ThisNo offense to the professionals who do this for a living, but the critics are dead wrong with this. The only two ways you can possibly NOT enjoy this movie are if you take it too seriously or if you don't have a broad sense of humor. This movie's marketing campaign did a pretty good job of communicating what kind of movie this was going to be before anyone stepped inside a theater to see it. The humor is crass and irreverent, yes, but that doesn't make it any less funny. Anyone who says this movie is gratuitously violent has never watched a gratuitously violent movie before. It's violence that's on par for a typical R-rated film, but it hardly strays into Quentin Tarantino territory. There isn't a dull moment in this film and the story - as silly as it is - flows quick and doesn't get in the way of what most people came to see - the humor and action. Deadpool nails both of those marks dead center and is easily the best movie Marvel has put out in some time. Expand

Deadpool was a pleasure to watch, I enjoyed almost every second of it.

Back when Marvel movies started to become mainstream, there was always something nagging me about the films. Where they good? Usually, but they always felt constrained.

Deadpool takes the absurd concept of the super hero genre and simply runs with it. It isn't afraid to make fun of super hero movies in general, or even itself. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it has just enough story to validate it existence.

I truly hope to see more of these films in the future.

Ryan Reynolds knocked it outta the park as Deadpool, he was fantastic in this movie, and it definitely shows that he was born to play Deadpool. just don't seal his mouth shut like a **** clown. Ryan Reynolds is a great **** talker, so Deadpool needs to be a great ****-talker too. another highlight to this movie was the humor. right from the start, the opening credits were perfect. the thing that makes the humor great is that it's almost a spoof, but in reality it's not a spoof. it's Deadpool humor and it's perfect! seriously, this has to be the funniest Marvel movie i've ever seen in years! and the action scenes are exciting too. usually in comic book movies, the studio would too scared to be rough and violent, so they always went with a PG-13 like vibe. here, it's nothing like that. when the **** goes down, it goes down. and it's bloody, it's violent without being apologetic. and it's not just chop chop here, and shoot, shoot there. no, it's really clever, and i loved seeing that. Colossus was great too, and i love seeing these X-Men characters again. and the thing is: they're total opposites, like Colossus's a good guy and Wade Wilson's more of a **** with a twisted sense of humor. so like i said, you guys should definitely go out and see Deadpool, cause it's definitely the funniest comedy movie and the most fun i've had in a movie since The Force Awakens Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is what a Deadpool movie should look like! Action sequences are great - I was smiling the whole time. I was waiting for it since first footage leak and I was not disappointed. Not a 10 point score because it could be little bit more accurate to comic book (some characters are merged together - for example Ajax and Dr. Killebrew are one person) and could have more action and less backstory. Finally an R rated superhero film that doesn't try to earn the R rating but rather set out to tell the best Deadpool story possible within the limited budget that they had and still managed to create something doesn't look cheap.
A big part of the success is Ryan Reynolds going balls to the wall with his humor and passion for the character, this has easily made up for the travesty that was Green Lantern and Wolverine Origins.

The 4th wall breaking / adult humor can easily offend those who are not initiated with the Deadpool character but for me this is simply one of the best superhero films in a long time after feeling burnt out by the last few Marvel films.

Simply put, Deadpool is not a kids film and thankfully it never will be.

Its a nice rebound for Fox after the Fantastic Four debacle and its also nice to see Ryan Reynolds make something that isn't critically panned as a bad movie. The story is very simple and to the point: Guy meets girl, things go bad, guy gets superpowers and girl gets kidnapped and so on. I'm not saying that like its a bad thing but for this film it works seeing as how this is nothing more than an origin story as Deadpools first movie. The performances, like the movie were solid with Ryan Reynolds carrying the film in one of his more convincing roles that actually makes use of his witty charm. Where Deadpool suffers, however is its script. Deadpools script has many small and somewhat noticeable loopholes as well as suffers from a somewhat dull and lifeless villian in Ajax. The jokes in the movie were also spoiled for me as most of Deadpools punchlines and quibs could be seen in the trailers which I felt hurt the film in more ways than one. Overall, Deadpool is a good movie and I recommend it to those just looking for something fun to watch that could provide a few laughs along the way. Expand

This is not a movie for children. If you enjoy late night Anime cartoons then you will love Deadpool. The writing is spot on. The editing is fantastic. The CGI was money well spent. I cannot wait for the next film.

This R-rated version of the genre is like a breath of fresh air, from the opening credits on in, Deadpool skewers the genre like nothing before it. Solid writing, acting, directing and visuals from start to finish provide for the most unique and entertaining movie this year. I was in tears following the barrage of pithy comments from the title character and Ryan Reynolds is absolutely perfect in the role. The producers wisely kept the runtime reasonable and it goes by in a hurry with no filler. Well worth the price of admission to see it in a theater. Expand

First off the humor..oh my gosh my humor was great,Ryan Reynolds is there perfect choice even before this movie we knew that(X-Men Origins Wolverine) and the dude brings the character to life with his portrayal .Even from the opening credits this movie starts to make you laugh and the first 10 minutes of this movie has the is best opening scene in a superhero origin story because origin stories are usually slow paced then improve to a faster pace, but this movie starts off with a fast pace and even when Deadpool isn't shown you never get bored because of the crude, rude humor,one-liners and characters in this movie.

The rest of the cast's performances were good as well as the chemistry between Ryan's Wade Wilson and Morena Baccarin's Claire was great, you bought the romance these two characters had, cared for their relation as it was a weird and odd relationship.Wade's Friend Weasel was also decent comic relief and the two X-Men characters Colossus and Megasonic teenage warhead(yeah) fit perfectly into this movie. The villain Ajax portrayed by Ed Skrien was actually good, this guy was a generic bad guy, but worked for this movie as he was a threat to Deadpool and people around him(and the guy was an a**hole).

What made this movie different from other superhero movies is the R-rating, at first i wasn't sure about it because from the trailers i thought they would go over the top with the R-rating, but i was wrong as this movie was better because of it, the gore, violence and of-course language was right for this movie even with some very EXPLICIT scenes it never feels out of place. The action was great, again the R-rating makes the action better and how can you not love a movie that opens up with an action sequence and one more thing to point out is even if this movie was part comedy it had some small scenes where the movie grew dark and i was really surprised by this because it fitted well and the intensity was amazing.

Now the BAD, this movie had a few bad things about it like we all know Deadpool isn't a superhero more antihero because the man is a clear and there was this whole subplot in the movie where they tried to make Deadpool be a proper hero but you know it couldn't work as the subplot was just unnecessary and pretty obvious also i pointed out that the movie has good humor there are some scenes whereby the humor feels out of place at specially whereby the movie is supposed to feel intense it just doesn't work. Then there are some annoying filler moments whereby they tried to rub some humor but just felt unnecessary and of-course with a small budget comes some bad CGI at times, but rather than that this movie is perfect.

Deadpool is the perfect origin story for the character as the movie is funny, action packed, weird and just fun,the studio made up for that monstrosity in X-Men Origins Wolverine(they shut his mouth),didn't go over the top with the R-rating and the movie was just fun despite the small budget.Superhero fans with love this movie and non-superhero fans will have a good time-BRING ON DEADPOOL 2.

Fantastic!
Deadpool is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time, and after seeing the trailer for this, I fell into the hype. Let's just say that it surpassed my expectations. The movie captures Wade's sarcastic, goofy, 4th wall breaking and raunchy personality very well, even if it's not perfect. The movie is all about Wade trying to fetch back his wife from the man who gave him his "mutant powers”. It’s the classic “save my wife from the baddies” shtick, but what happens in-between makes for a fantastic Marvel movie. One thing I liked about the film was that it didn’t drag out Wade’s backstory similar to Ant-Man; instead switching between the present and his backstory, it's a minor thing, sure, but for me, it helped the pacing of the movie. The movie has vulgar humor, intense fight scenes, and some romance sprinkled in. I especially liked the movie's portrayal of Deadpool's 4th wall breaking, such as telling the viewer not to leave popcorn on the floor, telling the viewer his backstory himself, etc. It's a fantastic film overall, but I expected a bigger connection to the Marvel universe, such as the rest of the X-Men, or even Spider-man. Vulgar, bloody and hilarious, Deadpool should not be overlooked.

Deadpool gets a 9/10.
What? A 10/10? Come on, Wade, it wasn't that go- *shot*

So well done, this is what you get when the makers of the movie really understand their characters and audience and not just in it for the money. I highly recommend that you check this out if you are a comic book fan or just looking for a good time.

It is a film that thinks it is the smartest guy in the room and takes every opportunity to show witty and smart he is. While Deadpool can be very, very funny at times and had me in stitches a few times, some jokes were just incredibly forced or not funny. I would say the film hit on maybe just shy of 50% of its jokes. The film also thought that by mocking supehero formula and casting stereotypes, it could get away with doing the same things, but it would be fine because they made jokes about it. Tragically, this is not the case as Deadpool is incredibly generic and, no, swearing and violence does not make it unique. In that regard, Deadpool is like a horny teenager who just discovered swearing and plays Call of Duty all day. After a while, his shtick becomes annoying and you want it to just end, but do not worry, he is still going 100 MPH. The backstory is handled awfully and slows the movie down too much, plus the villain is poorly constructed and the conflict in the film is just not interesting. Finally, the action is poorly choreographed and directed. Overall, Deadpool may be middling entertainment, but it is nowhere near as funny as it thinks it is. Expand

The plot is a little on the meh side but honestly it's Deadpool and hes not exactly the best story teller, however this doesn't effect the movie in any way since even though the low budget can pop up and Deadpool even points this out, it doesn't really effect the action in any way. As the CGI when its used looks great especially on Colossus who might i add is basically Colossus from the comics which is great, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead is a pretty damn cool character as well and I can't wait to hopefully see more of this Colossus and Warhead. The villain although generic is easy to hate and he has his moments same with the other villain Angle Dust as there both funny and entertaining to watch. I won't get into any more detail as you guys and girls need to check it out if you want to support these types of movies and see one of the best comic book adaptation since guardians of the galaxy.

Ahora pasemos a desgranarla.

It's own self-awareness, Ryan Reynold's brilliant sense of humour and the hilarious script make for constant laughs and comic relief. But this is only made possible by a suprisingly good story with a well-developed lead character. You actually care for Wade Wilson and his goal, and the character's use of humour can even be viewed as his own coping mechanism. It's great bloody fun and well worth a watch
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It doesn't really have a 'middle,' it has it's long first act, and a great last act, but there's nothing in between to flesh the story out. Could they not have cut the first act down a bit to flesh out the story a little?
VERDICT: 'Deadpool' is funny and fresh. It's self-aware humour makes it the funniest comic-book movie out there.

Were there parts of this movie that just irritated the heck out of me? Yes. Is it a very crude, toilet humored, violent, film with scenes of sex and nudity? Yes. Are the action scenes worth seeing? Yes. It was refreshing to see a different kind of hero movie. It reminded me of how The Crow made me feel when I first saw it. It was a different kind of hero movie. It was dark, full of action and very gritty from the beginning to the end. That is what made that film very good. Deadpool has a similar feel except it has a much more sarcastic main character and is seriously funny.

Is this the best movie I have ever seen? Not, by a long shot. Is it a really good movie worth the price of a hefty admission on a Friday night? Absolutely. If you don't like toilet humor, high school boy humor, and silliness....don't see this movie. Nothing is more irritating than someone who goes into a movie like this and expects a wholesome, uplifting, and moral experience. This movie is not for you. It is also absolutely not for kids. There is nudity, sex, and very vulgar language and humor. Although I love movies like this, I will NEVER let my children see it until they are old enough.

It was a movie given to us...the adults who never really grew up! It is definitely a movie I will buy when it is released.

Ryan Reynolds gives us what he always does....his snarky one liners and his hilarious sarcasm. I've like most of his films, but this one really allows him to bring out that sarcasm. I loved him in Blade: Trinity and his personality in that film. It is similar here...but amplified 100 times. He is silly, but he is a talented actor as well. I loved the conversation between him and Weasel when he (Weasel) saw him after his change. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

Some jokes do feel a little too forceful and excessive at times and the plot is as basic as it gets, but the movie knows that too and it does not give a fuuck about it. From its opening scene to credits, the film ceaselessly takes jabs at past and present trends and even shiites on Marvel for its 'limited' budget. It never takes itself seriously and goes all out with all kinds of comedy gold, something you don't see mixed often with the superhero genre. Of course credits to the writers and director for fusing the hype blockbuster marvel superhero formula with comedy, but it truly was Ryan Reynolds who undoubtedly made all this happen so smoothly. His flexibility and natural talent both as a actor and comedian is well shown in his character as he overturns his previous failure as green lantern into a success, winning his fans over as deadpool. Overall "Deadpool" is a great Marvel movie; it isn't great in a sense that we have a bunch of avengers coming out as cameos fighting evil, but great in a sense that it delivers what everybody loves, blood-pumping action and grade A comedy, with a cheerful whistle. It has a lame ass "doctor" bad guy with boring superpowers (pain resistance/very strong) with a side kick bad gal (also very strong) The two X-Men characters are pretty useless and have no reason to be in this movie. As for the breaking the 4th wall, we have seen it in movies so many times (recently in Wolf of WS and The Big Short) its like talking to audience is normal thing now.
I watched the trailer and was so hyped. Well, if you watched the trailer, you have watched it all since the funniest and only interesting action sequence happens in the trailers.

People are simply praising and hyping this movie becuz of the back story behind it, like how Ryan Reynolds fought for this movie to be made blah blah...Add to that "its the first superhero movie for Mature audience" so extra fan support there (apparently those retards forgot about Punisher and Blade).
People are supporting and praising this movie just because they want to get rid of the kid-friendly superhero movie" trend, and this movie getting 10/10 scores from users (wtf seriously) is not becuz of the movie's own merit.

"Deadpool" has a pretty big mouth and a very corrupted mind.

This is viscerally great, bloody comedy rated R has refreshed the genre of superheroes, surpassing to its most strong competitor Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Initial credits say the absolute truth, star Ryan Reynolds is listed as “God’s perfect idiot”; first-time feature director Tim Miller is described as “an overpaid tool.” The writers are referred to as “the real heroes here.

Evidently, adventure is full of blood and jokes and obscene topics, not wasting any second to perform one of those jokes. Wade generates an experience more intimate with the audience breaking the fourth wall hundreds of times. It was great!. Certainly this film carries the label of "The First Film R Marvel" with honor, sweat, love, passion and many swear words.

Rhett and Paul Wernick Rheese (real heroes) are the guilty of creating a script full of humorous moments that generate irresistible laughter led for the fabulous sarcasm by Ryan Reynolds.

If you liked the formula implemented in "G. G.", "Deadpool" you give a pleasant surprise to improve the formula imminently with sarcasm, indirect and direct messages for himself, other superheroes, and even to the own production company.

Project hosts two mainly innovative elements chosen by its writers in delicate and precise way, the first was how the same anti - hero put his origins and the second was the constant breakdown of film's four walls. But these were only the bases to solidify the film.

Based on the 1991 comic by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, "Dead Pool" tells the story of Wade Wilson, a bad man who receives a bad health diagnostics, this leads him to take apparently wrong decisions, making him literally a monster but giving him a superhuman abilities and unimaginable ability to cure ( All dinosaurs feared the T - Rex" - Wade Wilson).

The film uses various and consistent moments not fundamental to the advancement of the plot but necessary to maintain the close relationship Wade - audience, which include two participants of the "X-MEN" or to an elderly blind who want to assemble her shelf.

Several years ago, the comic writers looked the small and complicated in the "X-MEN Origins" (2009) shameful Ryan Reynolds participation, they told him immediately that if at some point in their lives they would have the opportunity to make an own anti - hero film, the main role was immediately for the boy. Good choice writers. His enthusiasm sarcastic is what makes Deadpool "Deadpool", He exudes all the features of the character, even achieving to see his pansexuality and light homoerotic. This guy is eloquent, funny, professional, he's be perfect to play the anti-hero more unconventional of the universe.

Director Tim Miller and the rest of the team are the magnificent companions to decorate the work of the main actor, I admire the work done by Miller to lead such a project of enormous magnitude, it is one of the directors of the moment and it will continue to be for a while more.

There is something that does not make very happy to the public, the film is all innovation and new things but plot central romantic tends to break for time-periods development fluid film, can choose a subject a little less cliche. Love story for Valentine's day? strategy? more profits?. It is an action choreography , interspersed with a fresh narrative and adding the best reviews of the mercenary. It's a Marvel's masterpiece.

At one point, the film can become an action film, in a horror movie, in a film drama, in a romantic film, in a thriller film, is truly multifaceted, having the majestic power of overcoming its premise in the cinema is essential.

Sadly, we can not say that "Deadpool" will be Marvel film last for older, but if you can say that 'Merc with a mouth' has done excellent and textual words of super is will turn into a fu---ng franchise. A film that parade perfectly between the thin and dangerous line of comedy , superheroes and fantastic bad language , defends and gives a fresh air to the superhero genre so congested.

There isn't much of a plot, but we don't really need one - just enough of a setting for the jokes, stylish action scenes, and to tell us why Deadpool is who he is, and why he's awesome. The addition of the two X-men characters was a great way to show off his unique character, and also tie in with the overall X-men franchise.

Ryan Reynolds is the perfect actor to play the role. He smartly nails every clever quip and witty observation, plus he’s easy on the eyes. The script is by the guys who penned “Zombieland,” so that gives you an idea of the non-stop wise cracks and smart pop culture references that fill the dialogue. The comic-book-style action is edited with a rapid-fire pace, but unlike so many modern fights, you can follow every punch. The approach is irreverent, sarcastic and very funny. Reynolds’ delightful character, the wonderfully twisted sense of humor and the inventive approach to a stale genre combine to create the most entertaining Marvel Comic flick yet. Expand

As with any movie, it comes down to acting, writing, sound, special effects etc.

Acting. Loved it. The characters were perfect for the roles they were designed to be. The acting was spot on for the nature of the movie, the jokes were done in the spirit of the character and the storyarc.

Special Effects They were good. The budget wasn't the highest, but they made a good go of it.

Sound Also great.

Humour. Loved it. The jokes were well done for the character and what Deadpool is supposed to be. Ryan Reynolds delivered as he should have, the 4th wall was broken in true Deadpool fashion.

Budget. It needed a larger budget, but as an R rated movie it was seen as a bit of a gamble.

This brings me to the fact it's R rated. The gore, the violence, the jokes... FINALLY something I can laugh at and get behind. None of the soft hands that deliver most other movies in this genre.

I HIGHLY recommend this movie.

If you are a responsible parent you will NOT let your kids see it. It is worth the R rating. I also want to say that just as a movie it was well paced, well written, well characterized, and just absolutely fun. If you are unfamiliar with the character, Deadpool is the outcast of the superhero world. He's got the moves and the abilities, but rarely does or says the right thing, for that matter, he doesn't get along much with anyone either. Ryan Reynolds stars as the not so super hero, and he is literally perfect for the role, it's as if the comic book was written last week with Reynolds specifically in mind, it was that great of a match. There is certainly a ton of hype around the character, the actor, and where it may eventually lead, but the truth is that the story really isn't anything special. I assume the film is meant to be about the character and how funny he is, making the story an after thought, but how can that be in a major motion picture? The film is your typical, guy falls in love, loses his girl because of a bad guy, and then goes looking for revenge, a common theme in every Marvel film. There is nothing different, exciting, or shocking about the story. For the purposes of Deadpool, it's all about the character. He curses, he kills, he makes fun of other Marvel films, and yes he's very funny, but to me, it was also a bit over the top. Since being acquired by Disney, Marvel is trying more and more to appeal to adult audiences and wants to show that its films can be just as bloody and crude as anybody elses, point made. The first time I watched Deadpool, I thought it was a weak story and a little over the top, but the second time I saw it, I thought it was a weak story and really over the top. The bottom line, the character is great, Ryan Reynolds is amazing, there are some great one-liners and laugh out loud moments, but as far as the story goes, it leaves a lot to be desired, as it was predictable, weak, and has been done time and time again. Deadpool: "From the studio that inexplicably sewed his **** mouth shut the first time, comes... me!".

One of the greatest anti-hero - the Merc with a mouth - Wade Wilson was once a special forces operative but turned mercenary. After being subjected to a rogue experiment, he finds himself with accelerated healing and transforms himself into Deadpool. Armed with weapons (and a wicked sense of humor) he will stop at nothing to track down the men responsible.

Never have I seen so many fans (or moviegoers), dying to see a character like Deadpool on the big screen; it's a bit like how everyone wanted to see The Avengers on the big screen back in late 2011. It's bad enough that the studios can't seem to get the character right with the disaster that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But the respect and love that fans have for this character stayed strong until everyone's prays was finally answered by this movie. And it did not disappoint, because Deadpool lives up to hype by being entertaining and hilarious. While I don't think it's an A+ like Chris Stuckmann rated it or a masterpiece of all comic book movies, but did I have fun watching this movie? ABSOLUTELY. It's a film that fans wanted and got.

I can't imagine anyone else in Hollywood playing Deadpool but only Ryan Reynolds. He was born to play this character and he's the only actor that I think of to do the character justice. Reynolds as expected did that, and that's make the character of Deadpool he's own. He was terrific has the mouth talking, ant-hero bad-ass. This is Ryan Reynolds come back role after his past disasters roles that mostly involves Green Lantern and Origins Wolverine (that this movie brilliantly makes fun off). Reynolds was just perfect for this character and he did a great performance in this film. He delivered the comedic timing and the somewhat of a hidden charm that Deadpool has. Ryan Reynolds absolutely nailed it.

The writing in this movie was surprisingly good, which I didn't expect for a movie with this kind of character. Of course there are Easter eggs, references and nods to the comics and Marvel movies, but in this movie it's done in such a way that feels kind of refreshing. I know for a fact that I missed a lot of the jokes and references due to amount of laughter that I had while watching the movie. I can say it with a brave face that the writing is this movies biggest strength, because it's self awareness on Marvel movies and itself was all top notch.

I'm so happy that this movie is rated R and not some water down PG-13 movie, because if you honestly think a Deadpool movie should be rated PG-13, then you really don't know the character at all. I'm taking to you Grace Randolph. Just because some little eight year old boy (who probably doesn't know who Deadpool really is), whats to see the movie, but can't because he's not old enough to see it, doesn't mean it should be changed to a PG-13 for someone who doesn't even know the character of Deadpool. These fans have waited 7 or 8 years for this character to be done right, so this little boys mother should teach him some patience.

Now for the flaws: How much better would this movie be if it had visual comedy. I mean Edge Wright should seriously do a Marvel movie, because I know for a fact that he will make the best Marvel movie ever when it comes to it's comedy, pasting and execution (something that Age of Ultron couldn't do). I highly recommend seeing Every Frame and Printing video on "How to do Visual comedy", because Tony Zhou knows some much about movies better then I do. But that's what I felt was missing in this movie and I know this is Tim Millers first big film (And an impressive one as well), but I'm just saying that it would be really brilliant if there was visual comedy in a movie with Deadpool.

While I did think the writing was great, but some of the jokes in the movie I didn't find that funny. And no, it's not because I didn't get it or I didn't understand the reference, because all of the jokes and reference in this movie I understood clearly, it's just that I didn't find some of it funny.

Overall Deadpool is a fresh, entertaining comic book movie that it's hard for any comic book lover not to like this movie. You bet I'll be seeing the squeal when it comes out since I know it's in good hands.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Good jokes and combat, but overall "Deadpool" is a character who tries to be original hero, but ends up being an vulgar comedian. And the plot.. holy sh1t! So he's trying to kill the people who saved his life, just because he is no longer pretty enough so he can date with his girlfriend? Mothafu5ker you would be dead otherwise! And i believe the high ratings over this movie are because it was very anticipated! Overall Deadpool is a poor combination between Michelangelo (from TMNT) and Spider-Man. Expand

Without contest the best Comicbook based movie of all time. Plenty of love for the source material and even 2nd fiddles like Colossus were note perfect adaptions of the character.

The only criticism is that some of non-Deadpool sequences are pretty slow, but any scene with Wade post-Deadpool transformation is pure gold.

Though some of the fourth wall breaks might not be nearly as funny for someone not realizing what's being satirized, but for Deadpool fan you'll love it. For a comic book movie enthusist you'll know what he's talking about and love it.

If you don't watch many comic book movies, some of the references will probably fly over your head and may impact your enjoyment, though the same applies to the Deadpool of the comics as well so even that is still a proper adaption.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Deadpool is here! And what more could you have asked for with this movie? Raunchy sex jokes, hilarious 4th wall breaking moments, and an amazing actor portraying our "hero". Everything in this film feels so genuine and it's apparent from the first 10 minutes that so much care was put into putting a GOOD Deadpool adaptation on the big screen. Ryan Reynolds is perfect as the Merc with the mouth and no actor could have pulled off what he did with this character. The plot is a pretty simple revenge story but that's all it really had to be. It did it's job very well and the film didn't suffer from not having a more complex story. It's a revenge story. Plain and simple. But pretty well done. The movie is done through flashback segments to Wade Wilson, his love interest, and most importantly, his journey to becoming Deadpool and the reasoning behind his hatred of Francis (Ajax). These flashbacks do the job well but do seem to carry on a little too long towards the halfway point of the movie but they did make me care about Wade Wilson and his journey to becoming Deadpool. The only real problems with Deadpool is the flashback segments get a little drawn out towards the middle of the film, and Francis was a little underdeveloped. The movie did it's job of making you hate the villain which is good but in the end you really don't know anything about him. Just that his name is Francis, he's British and he is responsible for making Wade Wilson a "testicle with teeth". Those are the only negatives to this movie. The humour of Deadpool shines so well throughout the whole movie, Ryan Reynolds kills it as this character and I cared for what was going on. What more could you ask for? Saying this, I am aware Deadpool may not be for everyone. If you don't like his humour in the comics, you won't in the movie. If you think his comedy is juvenile and disgusting, you won't like this film. And while the humour is usually very disgusting and crude it's what makes Deadpool so fun to watch. If you have a good sense of humour and want to watch a funny, well written, "super hero" movie DO NOT skip on Deadpool. This movie was perfect and came out at a perfect time in an over saturated market of super hero movies (and yes Deadpool will reference this) this movie is SO refreshing and the few negatives don't take away anything from this film. If you haven't yet, go see this movie now. You will not be disappointed. You know what you're in for just from the opening credits. Deadpool is very well done and one of the best comedies, Marvel movies and maybe even one of the best in years Expand

Deadpool for me was greatly refreshing with so many superhero films falling flat in recent years it was wonderful to watch a film that didn't take itself seriously, that gave you the action and the jokes and the "drama" without sitting through 45 minutes of flashbacks to un-needed filler pieces or waiting 80% of the film for a un satisfying conclusion. Deadpool gives me hope for the future of the superhero franchise that has been lacking for a long time. I think a second film could easily kill off some of the happy memories I have from the original, but if the team behind the film take the essence of the film without it being a direct copy and paste of he same jokes then it could have some potential Expand
