I'll start off by saying I'm not really a fan of most superhero movies other then batman and the first couple of Spiderman movies (before they got really bad). I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The action is okay at times but the over the top 'I've seen everything! I'm a badass!!!' attitude is only cool if you're twelve. Not to mention that the so called 'good parts' have been done by many movies before. Boring.

To start, I am going to be honest in saying that despite the huge rave prior to the release of 'Deadpool', I actually wasn't too fussed about it. However the overall marketing and general audience admiration towards it (and the change in direction it was taking), it eventually gained my interest and so I went and gave it a viewing. It was definitely worth it.

'Deadpool' is a well-made revitalisation of the superhero genre, which as of recent has arguably been churning out similar plots and scenarios over-and-over again. First off, this is not a children's film, do not be fooled by the Marvel logo, this film is very, very adult. Of course, by all means, go ahead and take your kids if you so wish, but be prepared for an hour and forty minutes of gore, profanity, nudity and every possible sex reference out there... it is a vast collection of explicit material, but is played out in good taste, very good and somewhat immature taste...

If you are offended, then I somewhat pity you, because it is films like this that the film world needs, something that completely alters our perceptions of the overdone superhero genre, and for directors to take a risk at crafting something fresh. The only disheartening bit for myself is how immature the film is at times, this is practically a feature-length barrage of toilet humour and gags about farts, "human anatomy" and um... *ahem* masturbation... it sort of belittles the adult audience its aimed at, but if you can look past all that, it is a damn funny and original take on the superhero genre.… Expand

The film is good, but not brilliant. It is average. The plot is crude, and very predictable, it's no surprise. Deadpool is constantly talking. that he is not a hero, but we need to show that he is not a hero. In the film he is a real sweet hero. Deadpool almost never uses the reception of fracture the fourth wall, and when used, it is very weak. The jokes are sometimes funny, but mostly tasteless. The R rating is hardly used, and when used for weak body parts or tasteless jokes. The main villain is very weak, we know nothing about him, although I can tolerate. About other heroes and villains we know nothing. But this film is about Deadpool, and he's still as fun and crazy as in the comics. I hope the sequel will reveal more features of the hero and write an interesting story.… Expand

A wonderfully violent movie, with the beloved Deadpool humor. Although not for everyone, this movie was a blast to watch, and the filmmakers achieved exactly what they were planning to. I recommend highly if you are looking for a good time.

Сразу начнём,самый худший,примитивный,клишированный сюжет за многие годы(короче это тупо первый Марио)0/10,самое важное это шутки,ну так вот если вам нравится шутки про пенисы и прочее то 10/10,аЯ посмотрел этот фильм 3 раза 3 СУКА РАЗА!!! Сразу начнём,самый худший,примитивный,клишированный сюжет за многие годы(короче это тупо первый Марио)0/10,самое важное это шутки,ну так вот если вам нравится шутки про пенисы и прочее то 10/10,а если нет то 4/10,спецэффекты (делаем скидку на то что был довольно маленький бюджет для таких фильмов)7/10,актёрская игра Райан Рейнольдс отлично,все остальные неплохо 7/10

It´s pretty mediocre. There are some fun jokes here and there, but it´s mostly just high school level penis jokes. Deadpool, The Rated-R phenomenon, is possibly one of the most important superhero movie because it showed that a bloodier superhero movie could exist. It laid a path for other superhero movies to follow and so we are getting new and moreDeadpool, The Rated-R phenomenon, is possibly one of the most important superhero movie because it showed that a bloodier superhero movie could exist. It laid a path for other superhero movies to follow and so we are getting new and more mature superhero movies (like Logan for example). But why? Why did Deadpool manage to achieve all that.
Deadpool is a paradox. It's R-Rated but very immature : penis jokes, blood and farts are just the tip of the iceberg. But don't get me wrong, it works. It's actually very funny which shows that the actors are at the top of their game. The best point of the movie is how the love story between Wade and Vanessa is crafted. It's funny but also real and emotional. The plot is simple but that is needed to make the jokes work. A lot of jokes, you won't understand without a deep knowledge of other superhero movies and pop-culture but that doesn't mean that it's inaccessible to everyone.
I'll finish the review by saying this : Deadpool is a must-watch for everybody, whether you like superhero movies or not.… Expand

If you aren't familiar with his brand of humor - basically, dead baby comedy, combined with some crudity and some violent sociopathy. Your inner 15 year old will probably love this movie, but if swearing bothers you, this movie will bother you.

If you want to see a silly R-rated superhero movie which makes fun of superhero movies while still being an entertaining superhero movie, this might be up your alley. It has good action scenes, a fair few good jokes, and the plotline is coherent and pretty easy to follow.… Expand

This genre started to be seriously overrated years ago. The great response from critics and public for The Dark Knight was justified. But Avengers was already over the top success, as if it was something above average blockbuster status, which is what all or most of these films are. Ryan Reynolds is great in the film. I´m happy for him because I like him and is a better actor than many out there. But just that, entertainment that I forget once the film is over.… Expand

This movie is comedy gold, definitely the movie this character deserved. You could argue that the plot is as cliché as it gets, but in reality it's just an excuse to bomb you with meta-jokes throughout the entire film.

Self awareness on film is nothing new, but no other film has taken the concept to this level. For Deadpool the stuff that happens on his world is just as important as the stuff that happens on hours. (although that said it's dumb as in understanding movie, the actual plot is far more cohesive and logical then star trek beyond of suicide squad.)… Expand

Deadpool is proof that Fox can do a super hero film justice if they put their minds to it. After the abysmal Fan4stic; I was a bit nervous about this movie. After the abysmal Fan4stic; I was a bit nervous about this movie. The marketing was top notch but I dared to hope that the film lived up to the marketing. I couldn't be happier to say that Deadpool finally has delivered the Deadpool fans have been wanting. Not sewing his mouth shut was an excellent start.

The movie earns its R rating with a copious amount of nudity, gratuitous violence and wanton profanity. Reynolds was born to play this character. The film opens by treating you to one of the best opening credit sequences ever. The film also manages a great balance of action, exposition and 4th wall self awareness. In fact its the 4th wall breaks that offer some of the films more entertaining moments. Reynolds even pokes fun at himself as well as his former movies like Green Lantern and other Marvel properties and indeed Fox themselves.

The fact that Fox took the risk to make this film as they did should be applauded. It also bears mentioning that the supporting cast are good as well. Colossus is incredibly likable as is his young trainee Negasonic Teenage Warhead. My one criticism is that the villains themselves weren't all that interesting and were pretty obscure.

The movie also has one of the best cameos of Stan Lee ever! If you love Deadpool you owe it to yourself to see this film. This was made for the fans. Also be sure to stick around through the end credits as well!… Expand

Ryan Reynolds nails it as deadpool, it what's probably the most faithful comic book adaptation ever made (in terms of accurately translating the character from the pages). All the performances are spot on, TJ Miller is great as Weasel. For a first time director, Tim Miller has put a hell of an achievement on his resume. The movie is hilarious, the action sequences are awesome (especially considering the movie was made dirt cheap, well as hollywood movies go) and even manages to make the love story between Wade and Vanessa work (the Valentine movie advertising was actually right on the money). I know giving a 10 on Metacritic doesn't really mean much but in this case the movie deserves it. Not that it's perfect, but it just does so much right that those imperfections are forgivable. It's the experience that counts and it that area Deadpool delivers in spades.… Expand

Deadpool is bad ass. Theres no other way to put it. Bravo Ryan Reynolds, you did fantastic. But its also the action, the personal story, the jokes, the effects, and the mature rating that make this movie so undeniably awesome.

Ryan Reynolds is funny and badass as Deadpool and i think he was born to play the character. The action is so gruesomely awesome. There's legs being sliced, there's a bunch of bad guys being shot with just 12 bullets, there's cars crashing into each other and there's so much blood! The humor is just funny, especially when it's provided by Deadpool, every line he says, it's funny. I had absolute no problems with this movie cause it's a comic book movie done right. Aside from Deadpool (portrayed well by Ryan Reynolds) and Weasel (T.J. Miller), all the characters are one dimensional and forgettable. At the movie's start, the cast credits the characters as, 'A Hot Chick', 'A British Villain' and 'A CGI Character'. These are the only traits these characters exhibit, and parody or not, we want to at least root for the characters and relate to them, not forget about them immediately after watching. The movie forces in some overly vulgar moments, including an entire montage devoted to sex scenes. The movie also becomes what it is meant to parody in the final act, which is an over the top fight scene on a Helicarrier.

In short, 'Deadpool' is a messy, bloated and disappointing comic book adaptation.… Expand

Simply put, they nailed it. It's everything you could want from a Deadpool movie. It veers away from the typical superhero affair in favor of being a comedy with a romance angle. I can't say it enough, this movie is hilarious. Deadpool has always been a funny guy. Thanks to Ryan Reynold's excellent comedic timing and perfect portrayal of the character to go alongside the razor sharp writing, I was laughing out loud constantly throughout.

It's not just the portrayal of Deadpool that's great either. Everyone does well and FOX's X-Men universe finally gives some respectable portrayals of their non-Wolverine characters. Colossus is finally done justice.

With it's constant ability to not take itself too seriously and make reference after reference, you can't help but laugh. Especially if you're clued in on the X-Men movies and Ryan Reynold's career. It is also surprisingly adept at inserting actual emotion and genuine romance at the right moments. Mix that with the fantastic action, albeit a little too heavy on the CGI, and you've got the more original superhero flicks to come out recently. A more adult alternative to the genre.

While it does follow the typical origin story, it does so in a way that feels exciting. Like I said, it's not entirely a superhero movie. It's emphasis on laughs and unexpected romance give it an edge in the genre. Not to mention, it's just really darn hilarious. This is, without a single doubt, the Deadpool movie we wanted.

Other than those problems, I was still very entertained, but I just had to take some time to think of how I would judge this film. I'm very plot-based on my criticism instead of laugh-based since I don't really watch that many comedy films, but I am really looking forward to the future devolopment of the Merc with the Mouth and I look forward to his appearance in X-Force.… Expand

I liked this movie a lot, it's probably up there on my X-Men movie ranking. Though my favorites are still First Class and Days of Future Past.
Ryan Reynolds is P E R F E C T on the role of Deadpool. He has comedic talent and is very good at acting. The jokes he makes on the movie are straight up hilarious, and the puns are just as clever.
This is definitely as good as a Deadpool movie was ever going to be. Though it was clear they had a small budget, they still made the most of it and nothing looks fake at all. The action is amazingly shot and superbly done. There's no shaky cam or whatever that thing is that other cheap action movies do, here is just great stunt work mixed in with great visuals and hilarious one liners all around. The fourth wall breaks are genius and well though out. They had great timing and were actually funny.
While the overall story might be a bit formulaic, still all the other amazing things just surpass that and make us forget the abomination that was X-Men Origins.… Expand

The last hour picked up a bit as far as a story-line beyond the graphic violence. In the end, can’t rate this more than just an average movie – credit for the humor and take away for the unnecessary level of blood and gore and also lack of an interesting story or villain. Why? because your taking a comic that isn't meant for kids and making it into a movie. I'm not sure if most of the people that left a negative review ready any of the Deadpool comics at all, but what I do know is that Marvel knew what they was doing, they knew that if they take certain elements from the comics and put them in the movie then it would be a success. Would the movie been better if Deadpool had his "gun blazing" moment? Yes, but leaving the guns in the car would be something that Deadpool would do. Deadpool joke are something he would say in the comics, especially when it comes to pissing someone off. Deadpool is a good movie that Marvel produced and for them to yet again do the "we have a squeal just wait until all the credits are over" thing but instead put it as a fourth wall braking moment that Deadpool would do in his comics.… Expand

The action is there. The jokes are there. Spot on casting, solid performances, yet, it feels like it's missing a real story. At its core, this is a Deadpool origin story. Nothing more, nothing less. A shames as it would have been nice if it had more to it than that. Also, the movie feels short.

Still, bottom line is this movie is great, just hope the sequel has more substance.

Durante los créditos del inicio conocemos a Wade Wilson, A.K.A. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), un tipo vestido en traje de super héroe que aclara que no ser uno, iniciando una carnicería contra unos villanos genéricos en busca de su líder Ajax, mejor conocido como Francis (Ed Skrein). Pero siendo interrumpido por la mano de la justicia el mercenario bocazas se dispone a narrar como iniciaron sus motivaciones.
Gracias a las numerosas bromas y referencias que Deadpool lanza durante todo su tiempo en pantall se rompe el molde del género de acción, mutando a una comedia hilarante, aunque como su clasificación lo indica (PG18) el humor es bastante adulto. Es importante mencionar que si la historia careciera de éste tono sería un producto malo mil veces visto.
La ficción tiene también romance, donde se destaca la dinámica de Wade con Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), ya que transmiten en pantalla una relación entre los personajes bastante legítima, siendo el elemento fundamental para que el film funcione.
“Deadpool” es una muy buena producción, se puede ver que Ryan Reynolds le puso mucho cariño y cuidado a éste proyecto. No es perfecta, hay un momento en que se vuelve tediosa y los villanos son olvidables, pero aun así una buena experiencia que deja con ganas de más.… Expand

It was a stunning launch to the big screen for the Deadpool as well as for this new director. This film was merely an introduction tale than a fully stretched story. Like how a human becomes a mutant and later who seeks a revenge for ruining his natural life. But it yet to explain a couple of things and I hope it all will be revealed in its sequel.

I am happy for Ryan Reynolds to get another chance, because his previous comic book character did not received well. I certainly liked the film, but nowadays there are plenty of superheroes to choose, in that, Deadpool's not in my top 5. So I am happy he joined the 'X-Men', because I never liked the boring 'X-Men' films or its characters, but I do love its spinoff 'Wolverine'. I'll definitely look forward for his solo films like 'Wolverine'.

This film broke a few records like the best box office so far for an 'X-Men' installment. A short film with the present and flashback narration shared the screen piece by piece alternatively. This was a strong R rated film so far I have seen in a superhero theme and there were plenty of other films referred. No offense to the people who liked it (and those who are going watch will do the same), but in my personal opinion it was a bit over-celebrated.

The movie is not the action-filled movie the people waited for, instead the movie is filled with black humor jokes and a summary of Deadpool's past as Wade Wilson, it only has two scenes featuring action, it's major flaws is the lazy and weak the action scenes were, Deadpool has no firearms at his disposal, as he later would forgot the bag filled with weapons, in the introduction, he forgot the ammo pouches for the Desert Eagles, as for the other part, the movie were filled mostly with Wade's past and it interrupts the action scenes that were already weak, the movie is unnecesarily long and tends to bore the people that watch it, the movie doesn't really provide anything new to the genre, it's cliché, from beginning to the end, we have a character, he was tortured, he desires revenge, he remembers his love interest and later the villain would capture his love interest, and he goes after the villain to rescue his loved one, a waste of money.… Expand

I went into the movie expecting a raunchy version of a typical Marvel movie with a passable plot and plenty of action. And that's about exactly what I got out of it. The story can be paired at the level of writing to, say, the first Captain America movie which is predictable and pretty uninteresting. The saving grace for this movie is obviously Deadpool himself and the humor that comes with him. I don't think I've audibly laughed out loud at a recent film as much as I did during this movie and who can blame me? Deadpool's character is pretty refreshing for the big screen. Overall, Deadpool's charm won me over to enjoy this movie despite the story.… Expand

Deadpool was a bit of a disappointment to me. I was a huge fan of the Deadpool character when I was younger but I feel I sort of grown out of the character. Of course while there was a lot I liked there was also a lot I didn't liked, first of all the origin story was dumb. The origin story wasn't a bad story it just took away time from Deadpool being Deadpool, which is what I watched the movie for, also a lot of the jokes didn't land with me which I think was a personal thing rather then the movie's fault, finally the movie really didn't have a solid villain which the movie really could of used.… Expand

Deadpool was a film that I was anticipating all of 2015. I had expectations that did exceed and some did not -- but got something better instead. The thing that I loved about Deadpool is that it is a great adaptation of the comic books. ThatDeadpool was a film that I was anticipating all of 2015. I had expectations that did exceed and some did not -- but got something better instead. The thing that I loved about Deadpool is that it is a great adaptation of the comic books. That funny, invincible mutant that we rooted for in the comics is in this film as well. Ryan Reynolds is not the greatest actor in the world; but he did give a mediocre performance here and went beyond the X-Men Origins: Wolverine like Ben Affleck overcoming Daredevil with Batman.

This film does have a ton of problems and as a result; it drastically crumbles. First, Deadpool's inappropriate jokes go way over the top. I'd suggest them swipe away anything that has to do with "sex" or "today's social media sensations." Second, I feel as if the entire subplots were rushed. Including the romance between Deadpool and Copycat. One moment they're having intimate conversations; than the next moment their having sex which is incredibly uncomfortable. Third, the film seems entirely small as it looks as if it is in that same highway location throughout the entire film -- or at least in the fight sequences. Mainly because of the film's low budget.

Should Deadpool be considered as one of the greatest superhero films of all time? I dont think so!
