Solid start for phase 5 was lots of fun, a few missteps here and there but overall an awesome addition to the franchise, step up from most phase 4 movies. Kang was awesome! Just a taste though but it fits the story. Well what can I say? In my opinion the movie is good and that's it, everything is ok! It's not a master piece, but I liked it, sometimes I even thought it was a star wars new movie because the quantum reign looks like a Star wars movie inWell what can I say? I've always want to like Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania more than Ant-Man And The Wasp, and definitely not wanted to like it less than the first Ant-Man, and it all came down in the middle, even though in a lot of ways i do like8.5/10
I've always want to like Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania more than Ant-Man And The Wasp, and definitely not wanted to like it less than the first Ant-Man, and it all came down in the middle, even though in a lot of ways i do like Ant-Man And The Wasp better and sometimes this one better, but all the way through i enjoyed the movie and i can even safely say now after thinking about everything that's going down, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is a good if not a great MCU movie in a long time for me, now, did i get the hate?, not really because i do get some of the cheesyness of it, some of the CGI for me if not all of them for everybody, and even though that was my real two problems of the film, besides that, i think the film are mostly great, in terms of the story, characters, and acting for the most part, it's a fun straight forward intense journey that takes place in this weird CGI fest world, and i enjoyed it, Jonathan Majors was great as Kang, Paul Rudd and the rest of his family was good, even Bill Murray have a very pleasant little appearance and performance in the film, but the one that absolutely deserve to be credited is Corey Stoll as MODOK, sure his CGI face wasn't that good and sometimes a bit too much but his performance is amazing and it's pretty caught me off guard, it's nice to see a good MCU movie again after two miss in a row for me (Thor: Love And Thunder and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), and overall Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is a pretty great opening to the new Phase of the MCU.… Expand

I really don't understand the bad reviews. Just shows the ridiculously high standards of the public these days. Do you want to know what it probably didn't get great reviews? The movie sets up the future of MCU but as an individual story it's not that great. The storyline is too obvious and no elements of suprise & twist. The world building of Quantum realm is gorgeous. Good camera work & direction. The action scenes are good but the side characters are got shadowed.

Overall an one time watch. The movie has 2 post credit scenes and both are important for future.… Expand

Paul Rudd and Johnathan Majors, unfortunately, can not save this film from being a star wars junk fest trying to savor a satisfactory intro to Phase 5. Michelle Phifer is a scene stealer, but Micheal Douglas feels old and tired trying to fit into a bubbly world. Evangeline Lily is boring and feels very stand-in for priceless action. Johnathan Majors is an interesting Villian and I'm excited to watch his progression as a show stopper he steals every line every dialogue every chunk of the film and the story shapes around his safe goat. Kathryn Newton is kind of the blandest and most mundane part she soils her part by running and blanky yelling "Dad!" with deadpan emotions. Corey Stoll returns as his character Darren and plays the goofy CGI MODOK who doesn't do much but lives to die not being "a dick" kind of lame. The film ends with a Creed showcase as he beats the absolute **** out of Paul Rudd. The Ending of this film plays as sitcom as before but the wonderment of victory fills in the air which leads us to believe it isn't over. the mid-credit sequence features three weirds looking Kang's talking about the conqueror they banished and the branched timelines they summon the council of Kang's, and the ending credits is a loki season 2 teaser with another Kang Varient called VICTOR TIMELY! my review is something positive this film is a 6.7/10 it's a mesh between Star Wars and Marvel although it isn't a perfectly good story it's a fun roller coaster that sets up the grander scheme of this crazy cinematic universe… Expand

Quantumania is a sci-fi thrill ride field with beautiful alien vistas and plenty of interesting character design. So many aliens! This has visuals more on line with a GotG film than an Ant-man film. It was fun, goofy and full of action. Jonathan Majors kills it as Kang, and I can't wait to see how he shows up in the next series of Marvel features (gotta be Loki S2 next, right?). Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas and Kathryn Newton reprise their roles as Ant-people with the usual riffs and gags we've come to appreciate from this franchise. It's based on a comic book science fiction fantasy story and delivers in fantastic style. My main complaint is that it feels a bit "toothless" similar to Civil War, but definitely sets up phase 5 to be a wild ride! I saw it in 3D with DBOX seats.… Expand

Everything is excellent, the script is excellent, the director, screenwriter, producers, composer, visual effects specialists, all the actors and the rest of the film and studio team did great!!! Quantum Realm is beautiful, fascinating, the study of this world is magnificent, I would like to stay there longer, immersion in IMAX 3D is incredible, the perfect beginning of the 5th phase, I can't wait for us to see and learn more what it will all lead to. All the actors played perfectly. Cassie, played by Kathryn Newton, perfectly fit into the ant-family!!! The antagonist in the person of Kang the Conqueror, as well as Jonathan Majors, who played him, were very impressed, this is really the next level, I really look forward to seeing more!!! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Marvel Studios' Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania (released 17th February 2023), was an excellent addition to the Canon Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is the first film of phase 5 of the MCU, and a fine way to kick off the phase. The main cast - Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton - were brilliantly chosen, all fulfilling their roles perfectly. Jonathan Majors - playing the role of Kang the conquerer - was first seen in Loki and has been one of the most anticipated villains in the MCU. The film itself begins with Scott Lang walking around a world where he is famous, as a member of the Avengers. He soon ends up stuck in the quantum realm, by the tyrant known as Kang. The film itself contains many fun Easter eggs and references. There are two post credit scenes, both equally interesting and important to the future of the MCU. The film also features the return of Darren Cross (Corey Still) as MODOK. In the first film Darren took the role of Yellow jacket, and he returns for revenge in this film. One thing I did not like about the film was that it may be harder for people who do not pay full attention to the MCU to understand, however for serious Marvel fans such as myself, I would absolutely recommend this film. Overall, I give it an 8 out of 10.… Expand

I’m not certain but one thing I have noticed, which is not unique to Marvel reviews, is that professional reviews spend a lot of time criticizing the movies for what they are not rather than what they are. I know what to expect when I go to a Marvel movie. I’m not going for Shakespeare. It’s an action movie with a good dollop of silliness and humor. This was entertaining, funny, thrilling, and engaging - the story was interesting, the themes were pertinent and reasonably well flushed out for a popcorn blockbuster, and I genuinely like Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and the ensemble cast. I don't understand the negative reviews and hatred. I'm a Marvel fan with a slightly positivistic bias towards film in general I will wholly admit, but I would absolutely place Quantumania in the top half of the MCU overall and can't wait to go and see it again.… Expand

I really enjoyed Ant Man and The Wasp Quantumania. The tone is more intense than the previous two movies and that is because of Kang The Conqueror. Who is played brilliantly by Jonathan Majors. He is manipulative and intimating and I'mI really enjoyed Ant Man and The Wasp Quantumania. The tone is more intense than the previous two movies and that is because of Kang The Conqueror. Who is played brilliantly by Jonathan Majors. He is manipulative and intimating and I'm looking forward to how dangerous he will be when facing The Avengers.
Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are fantastic as Scott and Hope.Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are just awesome and Kathryn Newton is great as Cassie. They bring so much heart and passion to their characters and you don't want anything bad to happen to them.
Sadly Luis and the rest of the crew are missing for their hilarious comedy as 95% of this movie takes place in the Quantum Realm and isn't as funny as the previous movies. The cgi can be hit and miss at times.
However I've always wanted to see Scott and Hope kick ass as I've felt they are underrated because they aren't Thor, Captain America, Iron-man or Hulk. They bring it and show no fear. They are willing to do whatever is necessary no matter the cost proving that they are heroes and deserve to be called Avengers!
Overall I really liked this movie and look forward to Ant Man and The Wasp part 4!… Expand

I think this is the best Ant-man movie I think it’s getting a lot of heat for no reason and after I went back and re-watch them one and two I can confidently say this is the best Ant-man movie it has the comedy from the first two but this is a definitely more serious tone and I also like that this has a lot of heart a lot of good family fun and I feel like we miss that a lot we’re trying to compare to other marvel movies that we seen before of a higher tier. And it’s just not that Ant-man‘s regular guy and he does one time with his daughter literally the first two movies go over that and a lot of things come complete in this movie and yes it makes sense for them to go to the quantum realm they’ve been talking about the quantum realm for about two movies now and teasing that and I love that it’s an adventure I love that it’s an actual episode of Rick and Morty mixed in with some more adult swim teams and it’s a cool movie and the soundtrack is just perfect the soundtrack is great and this also gives me old-school Disney movie vibes like I can’t explain it man it’s just a good family film at the end of the day and I think it’s a good movie I think. I think you should see it on the largest screen you can and a man if you’re into controlled substances definitely take some substances in CVS it’ll be a fun time everybody drink the ooze… Expand

Entertaining but nothing close to great. Sets up the Avengers vs Kang. Probably the best Marvel movie that has come out lately. Better than Thor Love and Thunder, Wakanda Forever and Dr Strange, simply because those movies were at best 6s and 7s.

Watched this on Disney+ in the last week of May. The premise felt like it would have been better for an Avengers movie or a Iron Man movie. Ant-Man/Scott Lang was not a good choice for this story. Ant-Man/Scott Lang was not a good choice for this story. The first two Ant-Man movies were perfect, great premise and villain fitting for Ant-Man. The villain Kang finally got a good representation in this movie compared to how he was shown previously in a Disney MCU TV series. However this movie kind of ruined his reputation as he was contending against Ant-Man where it felt like he should have faced the Avengers.

Scott Lang's daughter recast was not a good choice, her acting was a bit off and the character personality was really off putting. Overall, it is the worst movie of the Ant-Man trilogy - just another addition to the pile of B-Tier level movie quality releases post Endgame.… Expand

Maybe if you have not seen all the previous Marvel movies you might find this interesting and with good action and scenes, but after seeing all previous Marvel movies this just seems bland and not much new. Bien, demasiado CGI para mí, una película entretenida, parece que Marvel vuelve a lo Marvel, cosa que guay, pero a mi no me molestaba el cambio, aunque entiendo que a la mayoría no. Se presentan cosas grandotas, mola mola.

· Cosas malas: como ya dije, demasiado CGI para mi gusto, aunque es buen CGI. MODOK no me convenció en absoluto, casi que metido con calzador. Ant-Man para presentar toda esta nueva fase puede que le venga grande.

Ant-Man and Wasp is just mediocre. It’s not a bad film but you know it was made to tick a box. If it’s playing in the background while you’re getting high, the visuals are pretty good!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hey guys, I just caught "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" and to be honest, it was just okay. But let me tell you, Jonathan Majors absolutely killed it as Kang! He was so amazing that I can't wait to see more of him in future Marvel movies.

The story was kind of convoluted and all over the place, and it just didn't hit the same levels of excitement and innovation as some of the recent Marvel hits. But hey, it still had plenty of action, laughs, and that classic Marvel charm.

I gotta say, the chemistry between the lead characters was still going strong. And they did a great job of incorporating the Quantum Realm into the plot, which was a really unique element.

Overall, if you're a big Marvel fan like me, you'll still enjoy "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania." It may not be the best in the franchise, but it's definitely worth a watch for Jonathan Majors' standout performance as Kang. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table in future MCU films!… Expand

This is coming from a huge Marvel fan, not just an MCU fan. the TL;DR version is: not a awful production, not hateful. I'd say it's enjoyable, but after I watched it I felt empty (I watched once. What I thought was missing: the cast from the two previous films like Scott Lang's crew, his ex-wife and even her new husband. Also, a bit more time outside of the Quantum Realm because, even though the visuals and the designs of the realm are impressive, the movie becomes overloaded with the typical "green screen", CGI background. The technology has come a long way, but it's not perfect yet. Actors still somewhat stand out against the background giving it a minor "fake" vibe. What I liked: Some of the combat scenes are interesting and some set pieces as well aside from the usual charm of most of the actors. What I didn't like: 1 - Kang falls flat. He's not menacing or nuanced and the actor, who many people are hyping up, to me, is competent, but I didn't see anything impressive on screen. I wasn't "fooled into thinking I was seeing a multiversal threat", the illusion was broken, because I was simply seeing an actor "doing acting stuff, using acting techniques", you know what I mean?; 2 - The humor: didn't work for me most of the time. Don't know if I was desensitized at the time, but I didn't burst out laughing. I can say I had at most minor chuckles when I "recognized" a joke sometimes. But fear not; it doesn't make the same mistake as Love and Thunder by going 100 jokes a minute. In sum: not a great start for phase 5, but I wouldn't say Marvel Fans or Regular moviegoers should necessarily skip it you can still have a reasonably good time. This is not She-Hulk, which yes, you should definitely skip.… Expand

So, the Ant Man movies have always been more small in scale, so hearing that they would be making Ant Man and The Wasp Quantumania would be bigger in scale, I was worried. While I didn't love it, this was still a fun as hell time. His performance was great and he completely stole the show. The action and comedy, while it definitely took a nosedive, isn't horrible. The CGI was... ehh. MODOK especially looked really bad. Yeah, I had a lot of hype for this one after seeing the trailers and was disappointed, but I can't say I had a bad time. It was fun, but not much more. Also VEB, the guy with no holes, was MVP.… Expand
