    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a totally new concept! Love how the game alternates between two words and sometimes you play both at the same time.

    Story line is a bit slow but still interesting. However it isn't the best part about the game.

    I recommend playing this game because it's simply fun and interesting. Not scary at all so don't set your expectations to something similar to Outlast!

    Dialog isn't the best specially when you get killed by the big moth monster or when he simply appears :)

    I hope there will be a longer part 2 soon

    I think this game ray tracing is very good. And the game details are beautiful. The story is great. It was the best graphic in Xbox games.

    I'm loving this game more than I thought I would. It's different and not very action oriented. It's more of a story based puzzle game. The graphics are phenomenal, the sound design is phenomenal, its overall just an amazing world I really want to drive into to uncover the mysteries that lay before me.     There are a lot of people from third world countries with toaster pc's here giving it a bad score but don't be fooled; this game is AMAZING and they're just too stupid to read system requirements before purchasing a game.

    It is far better than i expected. Its a slower paced game, has some creep factor and some puzzles. It plays like a love letter to silent hill 2, and the early resident evils with far better controls even though they don't play as smooth as a fast paced action game(what person goes into this type of game expecting it to play like cod) this score does not mean it is perfect it means itIt is far better than i expected.     El titulo de "Sucesor espiritual de Silent Hill" le queda muy grande, es una historia que te intenta envolver y provocarte terror pero solo queda en un intento, dando como resultado un juego genérico indie de los que te puedes encontrar en Steam, a su favor realmente me gusto el manejo de la cámara y los puzzles semejantes a los viejos "Survival Horror", pediría un rembolso? Si por supuesto.

    Un juego muy bueno, sinceramente aunque no sea lo mejor debido a que es un juego AA, aún así tiene bastante que ofrecer, se entiende laa limitaciones gráficas al no tener un presupuesto abismal, pero da un buen dabor de boca de lo que se trae en manos Microsoft, sin duda un buen aperitivo mientras se vienen los peces gordos a casa.     Pero ahora que sé que es un juego AA estoy satisfecho, en tanto a gráficos no sorprende mucho pero está bien, miedo más o menos, pero en cuanto a puzzles y historia se la rifaron

    El juego me sorprendió para bien y para mal en partes iguales, si bien el juego me gustó en ambientación e historia, me resulta un tanto repetitivo y el apartado gráfico está bien, pues la resolución, almenos en mi caso, estuvo fluctuante unas cuantas veces. Nada que no se sepa. Sin embargo es una grata sorpresa encontrarlo en game pass

    Loved the story of this game, maybe not a game for hardcore horror people because dispate having some heavy stress scenes they are not long and thats why for me it was perfect because if its to much i get to anxious. Im not a horror game person bit i am a big story telling person thats why i love this game also love puzzle solving.

    a good game that is being beaten by a certain gamer sector, although the game is not perfect and has its flaws, it is a game that complies with generating horror and with an interesting plot. In the playable it is reminiscent of classics such as silent hill and resident evil.

    I like the game for what it is. I wish there was combat in this game but the graphics and the story is why it's worth playing it but the short comings is lack of combat and frame pacing that can be a nuisance at times but I hope they can build off this new ip and expand it.

    Su historia es solida y bien desarrollada, nquien tiene la idea que jugara un silent hill esta en un error, tiene una atmosfera muy paresida, pero no es un survival horror.

    The Medium tiene ese nombre debido a que es el medio de dos cosas, medio olor a queso rancio y medio a almejas podridas. Si buscas acción, este juego te va a decepcionar, el juego es pasillero a morir, no puedes matar enemigos como en el Silent Hill y es corto teniendo duración entre 8 y 9 horas y media. Si esperabas un Silent Hill, ni de cercas lo será este juego

This is one of the best. Do you not? Well, this might not change that, but the story IS very good, so maybe it has a chance.

    This is not your jump scare game. This isn't your Rocket Launcher Evil either.

    In this game you walk around and experience the atmosphere and the punctuating cutscenes. The horror isn't jump scares, but more cerebral and atmospheric. It's disturbing, with much of it's drama having nothing to do with the monster itself. You have to be aware of this.

    This is a game of a slow build up. It's not gonna climax in the prologue to get the attention of people that need to be sold on a game in 15 minutes. It felt like the first half was all build up, and the second half was all pay-off, and damn I liked it.

    The story and setting are exceptionally well thought out, drama, horror, quasi-sci-fi and history, even. Just play the thing if you have the opportunity. Game Pass or something.

    I love walking sims, so I'm giving it a 10/10. I'm not telling you what I think it'll be for you.    … Expand

Pero la mayoría de los piperos le dan 0 porque en su vida van a tener para 2 consolas, además de que Sony los tiene tan acostumbrados a juegos de 80 dólares con una calidad mediocre. En fin, es un excelente juego tanto en Xbox como en PC, el Ray Tracing es muy bueno, y laEn lo personal el un maravilloso juego, el apartado audiovisual es una maravilla y ni hablar de la experiencia en XSX.     Recordemos que no es un AAA y aún así consigue capturar tu atención con una gran historia y música. A veces me daba la sensación de estar jugando algo entre Syberia y Silint Hill. No es un juego para todos los gustos. Si eres fanático por ejemplo de los Call of Duty mejor ni lo intentes pero si no eres de esos, es muy probable que si te guste The Medium. Es un buen juego.

    Un juego muy interesante. Los escenarios muy bien logrados, la jugabilidad creativa y una historia atrapante. No es un juego de acción en el sentido de ir matando enemigos, es más bien terror psicológico. Merece la pena probarlo sin lugar a dudas.

    Realmente es un buen juego, el hate que tiene lo considero injusto, la nota por la prensa no está mal como muchos dicen, yo le doy un 8 porque tiene una historia bastante buena e interesante, el ambiente del juego es bastante sobresaliente, y aunque su apartado técnico no sea el mejor en cuanto a expresiones y físicas, el juego tiene buenos gráficos en cuanto a ambiente, la doble cámara leRealmente es un buen juego, el hate que tiene lo considero injusto, la nota por la prensa no está mal como muchos dicen, yo le doy un 8 porque tiene una historia bastante buena e interesante, el ambiente del juego es bastante sobresaliente, y aunque su apartado técnico no sea el mejor en cuanto a expresiones y físicas, el juego tiene buenos gráficos en cuanto a ambiente, la doble cámara le da una forma distinta de avanzar en el juego, aunque me hubiera gustado que se pudiera jugar más tiempo con la cámara, ya que era la mecánica más llamativa del juego, pero tampoco es un punto de crítica tan alto porque ellos salieron a decir la duración del juego y la duración de las pantallas duales, de un 33% del recorrido, el juego no es un juego de terror como tal, tampoco es un Survival Horror a lo Resident Evil o Silent Hill, pero eso no es malo, es un buen juego de su género, los puzzles no son tan complejos, son bastantitos pobres, pero tomando en cuenta que no es la mecánica principal tampoco es algo fuerte de criticar, la banda sonora es muy muy buena, como era de esperarse, te da toques de tensión en momentos críticos, realmente es muy buena, podría extenderme más pero no quiero entrar en spoilers y ese tipo de cosas, pero es un buen juego, no es un juego sobresaliente realmente, pero es bueno, son esos juegos que se pueden jugar en una noche cuando quieres una aventura corta e intrigante, sin duda es un juego que no te puedes perder si tienes Game Pass… Expand

    Im surprised but it is fairly great game, I thought that will be medicore. Yeah its linear and gameplay is not complicated but atmosphere, music and world design is outstanding. Definitely worth playing, give it chance and try it!

    Some parts of the gameplay somehow reminded me of Silent Hill, others - Resident Evil. A static camera adds its charm to the game, but sometimes you just want to twist this camera a little. It also filtered out many players who were not familiar with the early parts of Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

    In its horror part, it may seem to many that the game pumped up. There are no traditional jumpscares here (almost), and most of the game you are not in danger. However, you need to understand that this is a psychological horror, and the game copes with this perfectly. As you progress through, more and more frightening details become clear, and these details frighten not with some kind of mysticism, but with the fact that all this is real emotions and behavior of people, and many of these things exist in the real world.

    The artstyle, soundtrack and sound design in this game are great, and perfectly underline the atmosphere of what is happening in the game.

    All in all, it's a very, very decent game that definitely deserves to be given a chance.    … Expand

    Jogavel e de simples jogabilidade, tentou se inspirar em jogos antigos trazendo alguma nostalgia.

    Cenários que carregam na velocidade da luz ao entrar num espelho, jogar com os dois mundos ao mesmo tempo, ou controlando apenas o espiritual.
    É tudo tão mágico, inovador e incrível.
    Mostra o quanto essa nova geração tem potencial, em ambos consoles.
    A gameplay n é perfeita, tropeçando em um level design nada intuitivo as vezes e até cenários bem monótonos, mas é a minoria, a maior parte do jogo funciona muito bem.
    A narrativa se perde e tropeça em si mesma diversas vezes, querendo complicar dms onde não deveria, MAS, ela é td menos clichê.
    A história contata aqui é intrigante, misteriosa e termina com um final INACREDITÁVEL de foda que só quem jogou/assistiu vai saber pq ele é tão bom.
    Performance:
    Uma merda, n sei se por engine ou por falta de experiência do estúdio com o console.
    Gráficos:
    O jogo é bem bonito, mas nada demais.
    Destaque pro mundo dos espíritos em cutscenes que é um show a parte e pras transições dos espelhos.
    Sobre a duração?
    Perfeita.
    É um jogo de suspense e puzzle que se fosse maior do que as 8-10 hrs, ficaria maçante e entediante.
    Ele custa 45 dólares, além de estar no Gamepass, e eu definitivamente gostei mais dele do que do Miles Morales que é mais curto e custa 50 dólares.
    Ahhhh e não posso esquecer de falar sobre um dos melhores pontos do jogo:
    Akira Yamaoka.
    O lendário compositor de Silent Hill é o responsável pela trilha sonora ao lado de Arkadiusz Reikowski e que trilha sonora.
    Com ctz ao fim de 2021 ela estará entre minhas preferidas do ano.

If its the future of gamepass boring game like this yeah pss on this and don’t buy this waste of money get a Month gamepass if you want to try and cancel that game is not worth full price.

    A very good game with a short story ranging at 10 hours, it tries to do something different and innovates in a genre that has been stale for quite a bit. The action parts and environments are well done and definitely a highlight of what the next gen can do!

    La première chose que je peux dire c'est que l'ambiance est bien sympa et met vite en condition. La DA est vraiment bien travailler et c'est certainement le point fort du studio Bloober team. On retrouve vraiment cette style à chacun de leur jeu comme dans les Layers of Fear.
    Le jeu de lumière est bien rendu et il est vraiment distinct entre les deux mondes.     D'ailleurs cette idée des deux mondes est vraiment bien pensé, j'aime cette idée même si je trouve dommage que l'on ai pas le choix d'aller quand on veux d'un monde à l'autre. Mais c'est pas vraiment gênant. Cette idée d'écran splitté est aussi bien trouvé, pouvoir avoir deux expériences différentes en même temps c'est pas commun.
    Concernant le gameplay il y a pas grand chose à dire, ça reste du classique, rien d'innovant à part l'expérience écran splitté qui rend l'appréhension de se déplacer différente.
    Pour les graphismes personnellement j'en attendais pas grand chose, ça reste un studio de petite envergure et donc le budget et la main d'oeuvre reste restreinte. Donc c'est pas une claque graphiquement mais si les graphismes faisait un bon jeu ça se serrait. Petit bémol quand même pour le rendu des émotion sur le visage. Ca reste plutôt rigide. Par contre niveau rendu des décors, objets, intérieur bâtiment etc... c'est vraiment beau et certaines séquences et passages sont vraiment magnifique. J'ai par moment quelques minutes à explorer des zones juste par ce que c'est vraiment beau.
    La musique très bonne (Yamaoka) et son d'ambiance sont bons mais on reste dans le classique du genre.
    Pour conclure si vous voulez de l'action à la RE passez votre chemin, de même si vous voulez du gros suspense avec des moments un peu speed. Par contre si vous aimez les jeux style "spirituel", où l'on peut prendre le temps, où l'ambiance (DA, musique etc...) vous met en condition, où vous aimez les histoires avec un sujet fort, avec un univers sombre et épouvante, foncez vous serez pas déçu surtout si vous avez le gamepass. Avoir un jeu comme ça dans un service comme celui-ci est vraiment intéressant.
    Cette note par rapport aussi du fait que c'est un jeu de niche, fait par un studio limité en moyen et que c'est un AA.
    Un bon jeu dans un univers particulier et si vous avez aimé les précédent titre de Bloober team, vous allez forcément aimer The medium.    … Expand

    This game is not for everyone but I feel this was made for me. Great psychological thriller feel to the game. Only reason this is not a 10 is that the game mechanics can get a little repetitive. I need more games like this in my life a game that makes you realy think about the story being told and not relying on jump scares.

    RT is really well implemented. It’s fresh and remembers to old silent hill saga. The lore and mystery around the game create a unique atmosphere that is really needed in modern games.

    Die Steuerung ist auch sehr rückständig , schlimmer als bei Resident Evil in den 90er.
    Der Sound ist sehr gut gemacht , aber hilft der lahmen Story auch nicht war nach 8std 30 Minuten fertig sowas langweiliges habe ich lang nicht mehr gespielt.
    Echt Schlecht dieses Spiel.

    The level design of this game is just next level. The idea of being able to play two different worlds at the same is splendid. II really wish it could be improved a little on the gameplay part. I am fine with the game having no combat but the gameplay after sometimes starts to feel a little slow. And some animation work could improve as well. Still worth playing!!! it's on gamepass.

    Despite clunky animations, repetitive gameplay and some technical issues with the Xbox Series X version, I completed The Medium twice. Its dual-reality design, art direction and brilliant soundtrack often made me stop to take in a view or relish the music. Its mature story and atmosphere reminiscent of Silent Hill helped a lot too.     The exclusive Microsoft - The Medium is yet another significant milestone in the catalogue of psychological horror games from Bloober Team, which is increasingly becoming one of the best studios in this area. Without hiding where it comes from, it's an experience horror fans won't want to miss, no matter how short. The duality approach is interesting and has enormous potential. I hope that the Bloober Team will get to work on it again and develop it more in-depth.
