It's an incredible new adventure made by Bethesda. A complete and immersive universe with thousands of worlds to explore, specie's to find and much more. With two hours of gameplay I was completely taken by the of feeling of being an explorer and starship pilot. Probably this is the game I'll be playing for the next 10 years. 10 of 10!

30 FPS on the 'world's most powerful console'? What a joke. I'm not even talking about ancient post Skyrim architecture. Such a disappointment after all those years.

Boring game after couple hours, character animations are bad and soulless, 30fps makes the game even more unenjoyable, repetitive missions over and over.

The main positive thing I can say about Starfield is that the gameplay is more than solid which is to be expected from a studio with the pedigree of Bethesda. They really seem to have RPG game mechanics down. And for a Bethesda game, it is free of any serious bugs, which is nice.

The main positive thing I can say about Starfield is that the gameplay is more than solid which is to be expected from a studio with the pedigree of Bethesda. They really seem to have RPG game mechanics down. And for a Bethesda game, it is free of any serious bugs, which is nice.

Apart for that I found the game very soulless and generic. The graphics are fine, nothing special. Looks like they are from the last generation. The planets are very dull and contents are often repeated so they never feel unique or special. The character dialogue is absolutely cringeworthy at points. The characters themselves aren't completely horrible but the designs are so bland, like people you'd see at an office. Nothing interesting about them at all. They lack spark. The story is, again, nothing special. Very forgettable. "Nothing special" seems to be the theme of the game.

The main problem is that the game has current day written all over it. You literally have to choose your PRONOUNS at the beginning. Not kidding. I never remember any Bethesda game doing that. Also going back to the characters, the amount of forced diversity, badass, unattractive women and women who look like they work in a HR department are plentiful. For a game that is so bland to begin with, this breaks the immersiveness and reminds you are playing a game made in modern day California, not exploring on planets far away. It seems all AAA games these days are cursed with modern day woke identity politics which is a big deal-breaker for me and, I'm guessing, a lot of other people.

    Would not recommend.

I played starfield on PC & genuinely did not like it. Its an empty shell when compared to a game like skyrim or even oblivion in some aspects. Only the Xbox fanboys are hyping up this mid game is cuz its not on Playstation.

The graphics are from 2014, the gameplay is janky and not good, the NPCs are dumb and ugly, its chock full of loading screens & exploration is unrewarding and not fun.

Carrying too much will kill you, but the inventory is a nightmare, tried modding the game just to make the systems work and it it still was so complicated that after two days I couldn't manage to do the thing I wanted to. You don't build characters so much as have pointless skills that you will be forcing yourself through just so you can have a conversation with someone, or attempt to play the game a certain way. Whole buildings in the game are completely recycled on other planets too, to the point where I was able to shoot people without even seeing them because I knew they would be there. Also the story feels bare bones, the characters you play with are mostly lifeless, possibly written by an AI? If you want to play a walking simulator because you have too much money there's Death Stranding. If you want to play space exploration there's No Man's Sky. This game is way too expensive for what it is, and is sadly lesser than the games (from this very developer) before it. Sometime it looks pretty though.... Sometimes. Expand

If you played any previous Bethesda RPGs, you’re getting a similar experience with exploring, looting, quests, dialogue and story. Side quests are where Starfield shines the best.
Ship combat feels good and gets better the more you upgrade your ship to handle maneuverability base on fighter style gameplay but you can adjust your ship around your play style (bounty hunter/transporter and so on). A major component to this is readjusting power to the different systems such as shields weapons and gravity drive during dog fights.

On planet gameplay feels good here too. Gun combat is satisfying and different feel of gravity on planets/moons is a nice touch. This gives you more verticality in gun fights as you can jump higher due to some environments having low gravity and booster feel to make you feel like Boba Fett.
Graphics to me look good including character models. Voice dialogue is convincing and really good and character models compliment them pretty well for the most part. Game runs smooth on the Series X.

My biggest drawback is the travel between planets within a same star system and when you’re in orbit traveling to the planet/moon where they are broken apart by loading screen. I would’ve loved to see what Starlink Battle for Atlas or No Man Sky implementation in regards to travel and its seamless feel between planets/moons.

Game still has some minor bugs but nothing that broke immersion and experience so far. I highly recommend this and if it wasn’t for the space travel issues I addressed earlier, this would’ve been a 9/10 but docked it down to 8/10 cause traveling is a big part of gameplay and this was a miss that baffled me.

It’s sad to see how tv shows, games and movies are turning into. All politics and forcing their politics into games now. Very disappointing. Also Starfield you can’t drive into the planet like NMS. Also the 1000 planets are basically copy and pasted and boring and lifeless. Would have scored it higher if they didn’t add their politics in the character creation.

Arguably the worst single player Bethesda game ever made. Terrible soapy graphics with a green filter that makes your eyes tired. NPCs are terribly stupid, quests are not interesting and there are a lot of loading screens, outdated graphics, the game is not optimized. Terribly boring game and it's not an RPG.. It's not worth 100 euros. For me, Bethesda is completely dead...

Starfield for Xbox left me thoroughly disappointed. Despite the anticipation, the game fails to deliver on multiple fronts. The promised immersive space exploration experience is marred by numerous bugs and technical issues. From crashes to texture pop-ins, the game feels unpolished and rushed.

The story, touted as a grand interstellar epic, falls flat. It lacks depth and fails to engage players in a meaningful way. Characters are one-dimensional and their interactions feel forced. The dialogue choices, while promising, often lead to inconsequential outcomes, rendering the player's decisions insignificant.

Graphically, Starfield does not meet the expectations set by modern gaming standards. The visuals are underwhelming, with subpar textures and lack of attention to detail. Environments lack variety and fail to capture the awe-inspiring wonder of space exploration.

The gameplay mechanics also leave much to be desired. The controls are clunky and unresponsive, leading to frustrating combat encounters and navigation. The crafting and customization systems are convoluted, making it hard to engage with the game's mechanics in a meaningful way.

Furthermore, the game's open-world structure feels empty and devoid of life. While space should be teeming with opportunities for discovery and excitement, Starfield's universe feels barren and monotonous. The lack of dynamic events or emergent gameplay further exacerbates the issue, leaving players with a sense of emptiness.

In conclusion, Starfield for Xbox is a prime example of unfulfilled potential. It falls short in nearly every aspect, from technical execution to narrative depth and gameplay mechanics. For a game that promised to take players on an unforgettable journey through the stars, it ultimately delivers a forgettable and lackluster experience.

Starfield for Xbox promised a galactic adventure but delivered a lackluster experience. The game's technical issues are impossible to ignore, with frequent crashes and game-breaking bugs plaguing the gameplay. Even when it does run smoothly, the graphics are underwhelming, failing to capture the majesty of space exploration.

The gameplay mechanics feel clunky and unpolished, making it difficult to immerse oneself in the supposed grandeur of interstellar travel. The controls lack responsiveness, and the combat system is frustratingly simplistic, reducing encounters to repetitive button mashing.

Despite the expansive universe promised, the game's world-building falls flat. The planets lack diversity, feeling more like reskins of one another rather than distinct and captivating worlds. The NPCs offer little depth, their interactions often coming across as robotic and scripted.

Perhaps the most disappointing aspect is the narrative. The story fails to engage, lacking the intrigue and emotional investment that one would expect from a space-faring epic. Characters are forgettable, and the plot twists are predictable at best.

In an era where open-world games are pushing boundaries, Starfield feels like a relic. It's a missed opportunity to create a captivating space odyssey, instead delivering a subpar experience that fails to live up to its ambitious premise. This game is a cautionary tale of how hype can lead to crushing disappointment.

It's becoming SO easy to not even DO the main quest and just continue getting lost with every side quest. Don't get me wrong, the main quest is good as well but these sides quests are truly something special as well. Wasn't much into Starfield till I saw the Direct and was truly amazed by the gameplay/gun-play. I'm a sucker for these types of shooters and being able to switch between 1st and 3rd person makes it perfect in my opinion though I mostly play in 3rd person. Was sad to see that it's locked to 30fps on console though but honestly with how smooth it runs mixed with the gameplay I just forget it's 30fps. As for the cons of the game, I too came into thinking there would be bugs/glitches but to my surprise...nothing. Not to say the game is "bug free" but the game is more polished than one might expect and as mentioned before, it just runs smooth. Frames do tank just a bit in New Atlantis but outside of that (to me) I haven't experienced any frame issues on my Series X. All in all, I think Bethesda knocked it out of the park with Starfield that adds the perfect amount of everything to the mix to make this game become special now and in the future. As of writing this, there are mentions of mod supports that's not just PC but will be on console too and I can't wait to see what that has to offer. Expand

It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
