    No sense of exploration
Very data characters, feels like a 10 year old game
    Maps suck
    Inventory sucks
I found the quests very boring as well.
Oh and loading screen after loading screen

Starfield is no NMS and it doesn’t have to be - because it’s way better than that. Sure, we cannot fly from planet to planet, but who needs that if there’s a story and side quests you can travel way deeper into than you could travel in any solar system?

Be warned. It’s not perfect. But I had a really good time. I rarely play games but if you liked Fallout or Skyrim, I tend to believe you

    - Literally a single enemy type copy pasted 1000 times with different hats
    - FTL, an Indie Rogue Lite made by one dude, unironically had more space exploration than this game
    - Bland un-interesting universe where I literally couldn't care less about anything that happens in it
    - Faux RPG choices giving the illusion of build diversity
    - Possibly the worst UI I have ever experienced in any major release title
    - An inventory that's harder to manage than my emotions
    - More time spent in loading screens than browsing the internet on a dial-up connection in 2001

All in all I cannot say I enjoyed a single minute of the time I spent playing this game and am thankful Steam was kind enough to give me a refund

The rush in releasing the game has ruined it. I don't know why people lie to themselves that it's an Xbox 360 game and not a new generation.

Skyrim with guns now in space !

Bethesda, really I enjoyed skyrim when it came out in 2011.

But its time to move on from that formula. It is simply outdated and no longer fulfills the expectations of a RPG open world adventure epic.

I am not kidding remastering (not remake) oblivion or morrowind just might be the road to set you guys in the right path again

Starfield has a slow start but when you get into it, its as fun as any other Bethesda RPG. I'm about 40 hours in as I write this and i had 0 crashes and minimum of bugs. Those bugs were mostly funny than annoying, and none of them were game breaking. Loading screens were a bit of a let down but I got used to them too. I get that, you can't have detailed map on every planet, but at least the major Cities could have it. Most of the time I roam around the City for a long time before I find what I look for. I hope City maps get added, if not by Bethesda then by some modders. Overall, great game that will definetly get better in the future, with help of Community or Bethesda itself. Expand

the dialogue is no longer a bad joke like in Fallout 4 exploration is good, even if it is limited by the engine and current technology and the limitation of PCs and consoles space fights are awesome, same with the ship customization some

This track record suggests a commitment to creating vast, immersive open worlds with rich storytelling.

The concept of exploring space in a single-player RPG setting is incredibly appealing. Starfield promises to take players on a journey to the stars, offering a whole new frontier to explore. The idea of piloting your own spaceship, visiting diverse planets, and encountering a variety of alien species is captivating.

Bethesda's dedication to modding and player freedom has been a hallmark of their games, and it's likely that Starfield will follow suit. This means that players can expect a robust modding community to enhance and expand the game's content and features, ensuring longevity and replayability

I nearly finished the story and put 60 hours in so far. It's by far the most polished Bethesda game at launch! The story is interesting and gets pretty good. There are plenty of sidequests which are well written too.

There's ship & outpost building, crew mechanics & trade routes, piracy, dogfighting, exploration and in-depth RPG elements. Truely a one-of-a-kind game.

The world is insanely huge, combat is fun, physics & visuals are on a next level.

It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
