I have about 17h on the game and I loving every bit off it. Even tho I play a bit of everything I make sure this is the last game (since I won't get off till the sun's up). Everyone should give it a try, it's really is Skyrim in space.

The exploration is good even if there are probably too many loading screens, but it's a compromise we can accept for such a big map. The cities are big and full of people you can interact with that will give you informations or side quests. The thousands planet have been made to make the starfield universe feel realistic and like in reality most of them are empty, you will just land on them, have a look around and take same minerals or stuff that you need. It would have been impossible to create 1000 planets all full of life, cities or stuff to do, and it would have been also unrealistic. The poor AI of the enemies is one of the main problems of the game, even tho it doesn't affect it so much. The graphic is really good looking except for the faces that are static and lack of details. In this game you can choose who you want to be: you want to be a good astronaut? you absolutely can. You want to be a pirate? you can do it as well (even if your companions will not be so happy of your choice). If you are looking for a game like NMS, a game where you jump infinite times from a planet to another one, exploring with freedom planets full of life but without a real meaning, than this game is not for you. It's not an exploration game (and nobody said it would have been), it's much more: a real Bethesda RPG, with thousands of things to do, and with the exploration being the surrounding, not the main aspect of the game. Bom eu amei o game. I love this game. The freedom to do things is endless, it is a bit complex to understand at the beginning but I love it. Graphics are also amazing. 30 Fps is also very good although I would prefer 60 the 30 is not bad at. Solid. I've played on both the X/S no problems.

Bethesda Game Studios have made another excellent “open world” RPG that’s feels like a true spiritual successor to Skyrim and Fallout 4. Space travel and combat could have been expanded a bit more to feel more integral to the rest of the game however overall it is an amazing RPG that gives a true feeling of discovery and exploration in space

Let me start by saying that I adore almost everything about this game. Once I saw a lot of the reviews, especially the 7/10 from IGN...I was truly disappointed, confused, worried. I felt like all the wait, hype, and research for this game were for nothing. I mean I bought an Xbox specifically for this game, as my laptop would've never been able to run it. I mean I bought an Xbox specifically for this game, as my laptop would've never been able to run it. So with that being said, when I sat down to play Starfield for the first time I was hooked. Hours went by and a question started spinning in my head. "Am I playing a completely different game from the reviewers". There are a few things I wish they would have done differently, like - having a map, at least in the major cities/ buildings/ships, and so on. Fewer planets, which would have been more intricate and filled with environmental storytelling would have been better in my eyes..and some other minor things like fewer loading screens. But it doesn't seem fair to complain and to be nit-picky as if we were owed something. The game is one of the best games of all time and it's free on "Game Pass", which is mind-blowing. Bethesda will keep doing what Bethesda does, and nobody in my eyes, can do what Bethesda does. Their games are the deepest games I've played and I appreciate them for that. I can talk for hours about all the great systems in Starfield, or about how great the characters are voiced, or how the music is almost as good as in Skyrim. I can't stress enough how important it is to be able to immerse yourself in this game. Give this game a chance! Don't listen to the negative reviews, or better yet, listen to them, go in with low expectations, like I did, and prepare to be amazed. Expand

I started to see some reviews of the game and many commented on the complexity of the game and the freedom to play the way you choose. These factors, which were often indicated as something negative, hit me right in the nostalgia of playing Skyrim without knowing English and discovering the game's mechanics, story and secrets.

On September 5th, the title arrived on Game Pass. After wasting a few hours in the character editor (as I always do) I started playing and after a few simple combat tutorials and an introduction to the story, I began to understand what the Starfield universe was all about and how the gameplay worked. Everything I'd come to expect from Bethesda was there, for better or for worse, with the exception of the combat, which is now much more fluid than previous titles. The exploration factor is also present and frankly, I still can't understand the criticism on this point. The amount of loading is a little off the charts, but it didn't get in the way of my experience after about 20 hours of play and I'm really enjoying the title.

The graphics aren't the best, the PT-BR dubbing is lacking and the AI is up to Bethesda's standard (if you know what I mean), but it's a worthwhile title!

If you're a big fan of RPGs and the more down-to-earth space theme, looking for a big, immersive title with interesting missions (main and secondary), Starfield probably won't let you down!

I'll let you know what the faults of the game are in my opinion first then the good. Keep in mind all the faults I mention are addressable with updates or mods. So pay no attention that claim the game is broken. It most certainly is not broken.
Fault 1 by far is the lack of tutorials. There are some there, but I feel like there would be fewer bad reviews if the game had some more in-depth tutorials. There is a help menu in the start menu that helps a lot, but still you're probably going to need to youtube one or two things. And honestly do that before you play the game as I know there are many spoiler free videos that help a lot.
Fault 2 is the unoptimized inventory system. It's just kind of clunky and too simple for such a complex game. There needs to be a few more sorting filters and maybe some kind of inventory search would make things easier.
Fault 3 and probably the one that will be addressed as soon as possible by Bethesda since it is universally a fault literally everyone who plays Starfield are the city maps when you're in a city. Without spoiling anything there are very broad points of interest on static looking screen and that's it. It doesn't show where vendors are or things of that nature. For someone who is forgetful like me remembering where things or when I haven't been to that city in a while is quite frustrating. Again they are probably working on this.
    Now for the good.
Pro 1 The game's combat system and mechanics are simple and fun. I thoroughly enjoy it. Anyone can pick it up and play it without a problem. A lot of the hate on this aspect is coming from competitive multiplayer gamers. This is a single-player Bethesda game not Call of Duty and people need to set their expectations accordingly.
Pro 2 The story and quest are really fun and do a good job building that connection with the characters.
Pro 3 The graphics and feel of the game are great and are the typical Bethesda art style. Think updated Fallout.
Pro 4 The amount of different ways you can play the game are astonishing. I can understand some people puting this as a fault since it can be overwhelming, but if you like to play a game a certain way like as a villian/pirate or a hero you can do it all here. You can play mostly in space if you want or planet side. You can spend most of your time building a ship or outposts if that's what you like to do. You can also play like me and create multiple characters each with their own playstyle. It's literally up to you and the fact that the there are so many options is amazing.
I hope this review helps someone decide to play the game and give it a fair shake as it deserves. It will be worth it.

Starfield is a great game. It has such a bleakness characteristic, but let me explain. You are in space, exploring all these planets, scanning fauna and flora, but no other intelligent life form(such as humans of course), only humans. I played 17 hours so far but I haven't even started the main mission yet because I get side tracked by side mission from factions and exploring random planets to find a suitable outpost place. Starfield is what players make of it, so get as deep as you like. Forget about the 30 FPS for a change, games for 30 FPS before and people were not bothered. I personally don't care about the frame rate as long as it is stable, and I can't wait to find out more about terramorfs and how did they first appear! Good luck to all, see you in space. Expand

Overall, To cut straight to the chase, I think Starfield overall is a really good game, most definitely I feel that is one of the stronger Bethesda and Xbox Releases as a whole.

First and foremost, I do believe that there is a vast sandbox here to be able to roleplay and enjoy, I personally played a Cowboy Space ranger, Focusing on ship building and gun focus tree. The new skill tree mechanic works really well, allowing once again a platform to roleplay, if I base my character around jetpack and revolver like I did, my skills in use get better, its much more fleshed out skyrim/oblivion skill tree set where doing the action tied to the skill levels, that skill but on a much larger scale. The ship building is really cool, its fun to build you ship, though costly, at later game it becomes much more accessible. I just enjoyed building my ship, fast traveling to space and then looking out into space out port hole i placed into my design. however building ships can be junkie and takes a little time to get used to. Now some issues that i found in the game.

First of all, I think the story is kind of boring until mid story, where it does start to pick up,
Fast traveling but I have to say, this game has some of the best factions in any bethesda game period, not to mention the vast amount of quests and things to do. Recently I played through this one quest, where I was sneaking around a research facility with this monster thing chasing me and I had to use stealth, a lot of approached to different quests and a lot of ways to build out your character and roleplay. This isn't a traditional bethesda RPG in the sense of the world, The different planets you land on, host a plethora of hand made or in most cases procedurally generated chunks, which are quite large, but in some cases quite empty. Though, as someone who has been following Starfield up to release, it was made quite clear by Bethesda that, it would be the case and I feel like overall its not as big of an issue as people make it out to be in the grand scheme of things. However one mechanic i have been messing around with but just don't like is settlements. Likely they are 100% optional, the controls for building are clunky and not much ever gets explained, I been looking at guides to figure out things like Cargo links. Though, I will go back to the settlement mode as I really enjoyed it in Fallout 4.

I ran Starfield on the Series S. I have to say I am generally satisfied with performance, I did encounter a few significant frame drops in some of the cities. But overall, Frames have been consistent. In terms of bugs, I haven't really experienced many bugs, Only one i can remember off the top of my head, was when the camera got stuck when going up a ladder. However I have noticed the game likes to crash from time to time, when loading in new areas, but these crashes are few and far in between.

Overall in the 30+ hours I have been playing the game, I have enjoyed myself a lot. I feel that there is a lot of foundational work that was laid here for future bethesda games. I thinks its a game everyone should try out at least once, but does not constitute an immediate buy. if you have some money to pick up game pass and give it a try. It will be worth it. I will definitely go back to the game ever few years like I do with Skyrim and Metal Gear series.

It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
