    There is no real exploration in Starfield. This is a "point and click game" with loading screens everywhere and a massive letdown. No Mans Sky is leagues better at what Starfield tries and fails to do.

    - Everything is boring. The story is boring, the characters are boring, the environments are boring.
    - Exploration is a joke. This is a loading screen simulator as you simply spawn back and forth between empty, lifeless "zones".
    - Spaceship building is pointless since you can literally fast travel anywhere, at any time and bypass "space" segments.
    - Space segments are like the "zones" on worlds: you're in a box or a "fish bowl" where the planets are backdrops (that people have clipped through). Its the illusion of space "travel"
    - Spaceships are an illusion, you can't fly them over land, you spawn on a map and have to walk everywhere
    - No vehicles to traverse the large, empty, boring zones.
    - Side quests are next level dull
    - NPCs look worse sometimes than Skyrim and FO4
    - Bugs and glitches, many that are game breaking
    - Voice acting in some parts is laughably bad
    - Every world has 1-2 space crabs or lizards
    - No HDR support (Lol! Why Bethesda?!) and no Brighness options (?)
    - Most planets are flat, bland and uninteresting
    - No mining, usually not more than 1-3 points of "interest" in any "zone".
    - Worst AI in any Bugthesda game.
    This is a distaster. Starfield is the crappier version of No Mans Sky, it doesn't even come close to having the features, the functionality, the interest or the competence of a 7 year old indie game.

    The diologue in this game feels like it’s been written and performed by a kid. Every time someone speaks its pure cringe. The game is such a drag to play at the start.
    I love the fallout games and Skyrim, and thought it would be largely the same quality. But those games are old, so bad diologue and bugs is forgivable. But not in a game like this.     El juego es literalmente un Fallout / Elder Scrolls en el espacio digan lo que digan.     Los viajes entre planetas o sistemas solares se hacen a golpe de tecla y cinemáticas a través de un menú ya que no puedes pilotar tu nave ni navegar con ella libremente ya sea en la atmosfera o en el espacio a pesar de que se anunciaba lo contrario, solo en las orbitas de los planetas y de manera limitada, penoso. Tampoco puedes salir de tu nave y flotar por el espacio libremente.
    La IA tanto enemiga como aliada deja mucho que desear, es muy torpe. Los civiles no reaccionan a tus disparos ni ofrecen diálogos.
    Las animaciones faciales siguen siendo de la generación pasada, por no hablar de que la sincronización labial es muy mala, aunque el doblaje y la traducción hay que decir que están muy bien.
    La exploración que nos prometían es decepcionante y literalmente humo. De 1000 planetas que anunciaban solo unos 100 tienen "vida" o cosas que hacer, es decir un 10% y además generados proceduralmente. No solo eso, sino que al aterrizar en una zona se generan puntos de interés alrededor, es decir que esas zonas explorables están instanciadas y además no puedes explorar mas allá porque no hay nada y porque el juego no te deja. Con las orbitas de los planetas pasa lo mismo, están instanciadas y da la sensacion de ser algo artificial.
    Además para visitar los puntos de interés deberás ir andando desde tu nave ya que no existen vehículos terrestres ni tampoco puedes acercarte con tu nave, a estas alturas y que Bethesda no haya sido capaz de implementarlos en ninguno de sus juegos es lamentable.
    Hay pantallas de carga y menús literalmente para todo. Los menús son engorrosos y poco intuitivos.
    Cuando aterrizas en algún punto no existe algo tan básico para guiarte como un mapa local.
    Los gráficos tampoco son para tirar cohetes. No innova en nada ni implementa mecánicas nuevas.
    Todos estos puntos negativos rompen la inmersión, te sacan mucho del juego y de la experiencia.
    Los únicos puntos buenos de este juego son la ambientación, la personalización, los combates, las opciones de dialogo y persuasión, la narrativa y la historia, tanto de la trama principal como de las secundarias.    … Expand

    People think this is fun/funny but they're usually distracting when a game tries to be serious.

    Otherwise, performance is horrible, I have a 3080 and the FPS in the cities and random, empty, planets drops from 120 fps to under 30. It has such a massive gap in FPS for no reason at all, even in scenarios where nothing is happening on screen. NMS had seamless landing on planets and flying in a planets atmosphere and was more stable yet this has the backing of MS and 9,000 members of staff.

    BGS have made the same reskinned combat/AI/animations for over a decade and a half and its time to hold them to a higher standard.    … Expand

I played this game for around 15 hours and I was bored out of my mind. I could waste my time listing out every fault and problem but I would be here all day.     I went in expecting the best and wow. did it not deliver at all. this game ran slow, there was pop in, constant screens, terrible inventory. I do not own a playstation, but this was the game that would keep me in the ecosystem. and i think i might switch and go try some spiderman or something. its a hassle to pull our 500 dollars again lol. Yeah the game over is underwhelming not worth theI went in expecting the best and wow. did it not deliver at all. this game ran slow, there was pop in, constant screens, terrible inventory.     No 60fps is inexcusable. Other games this gen look MUCH better and are 60fps, or significantly higher eg recently Hogwarts, GOWRagnarok.

    Somehow even worse than typical bethesda trash. The whole game is about as well optimized as fallout 4 boston and as soon as you install it you need to download a mod to remove the green tint so the game doesn't look like vomit. Bugs and loading screens everywhere. It does have plenty of empty computer generated planets to explore if you're into that.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The most over hyped, over inflated title I've seen in a long time. The character creation is so limited compared to its contemporaries and even previous Bethesda titles. Only 1 kind of blue eye colour but loads of reds and yellows for some reason, and only one type of long beard, and its got a twirly whirly moustache attached to it that you can't change. If you watched streamers talking about the game look at how all their characters look basically the same, you'll see what I mean about limited choice. The story is basic and rushed. The way you obtain a ship is hilarious, some guy turns up and just give it to you, a complete stranger, no questions asked! Also the whole "I touched an artefact and now I have visions" is such an overused trope, Mass effect did it, and did better frankly. The game also stutters, locks up and lags in conversations making it look like a badly dubbed movie. I'm told this is because I have to buy new hardware to run this game. So on top of the £60 for the game, I have to spend an additional £80 to buy a SSD because the game won't run on HDD. My computer is less than 2 years old, it runs most games on ultra, no problem, but starfield runs like a clunky even on low. That just seems like Bethesda designed themselves into a corner, and the only solutions were either spend a lot of money to make it run on standard hardware, or let the customer absorb the cost by making it for SSD only. So they opted for us to pay for their mistake. Just a theory, but seems logical to assume that's what happened.… Expand

    Tras 20 horas de juego. Es el juego mas mediocre tanto técnicamente como a nivel de juego que ha hecho BETHESDA. Un juego espacial en el cual la exploracion es de broma y una nave que lo unico que sirve es para teletrasportarte de un punto a otro. Es vergonzoso que una empresa como BETHESDA saque un juego tan anodino, y teniendo como base juegos como OBLIVION o FALLOUT, para sacar estaTras 20 horas de juego. Es el juego mas mediocre tanto técnicamente como a nivel de juego que ha hecho BETHESDA. Die shooter Mechanik finde ich auch nicht sonderlich flüssig und spaßig.
    Der Einstieg ins Spiel kann nicht mehr 08/15 wie hier und ist total lieblos gestaltet. Die Story hat mich in meiner verbrachten Spielzeit null gepackt.
    Man befindet sich eigentlich ein viertel der Spielzeit im Karten Menü, das ist sowas von mega traurig. Viele versprechen und Aussagen die vor Release von den Entwicklern getätigt wurden sind einfach gelogen und nicht vorhanden. Die 5000 Zeichen reichen hier garnicht aus um alles aufzuzählen.

    Sehr schade denn ich habe mich auf das Spiel wirklich gefreut und trotzdem eine Chance gegeben. Nach ca. 8 Stunden Spielzeit habe ich es aufgegeben und weiterverkauft.
    Wenn ein Spiel nach noch nicht mal 8 Stunden mich fesseln kann ist es bei mir leider durchgefallen und hat sein Ziel klar verfehlt. Denn immerhin sollte ein Spiel Spaß machen und von Anfang an fesseln.    … Expand

    Starfield has a boring introduction. You are a miner and walk around for 15 minutes, there’s no tension, no cinematic entrance and no pull to the universe. You do pass out because of a mysterious technology, but I was so bored with walking around it didn’t shock me. You can’t fly planet to planet, but you need to go into quite a few menus to fast travel. You can’t even take off into space, that is also a fast travel screen. From all this, I feel like half the game is just loading screens and fast travel. The combat is a regression from Fallout 4, it appears the gun combat is purposely held back so that your skill tree makes it fun. But I’m not giving a dozen hours just to play a gun fight to an acceptable level. I can’t recommend this game, the gun play is boring, the introduction is atrociously boring, the universe never grabs my attention. I can’t get into a game that is just loading screens. Bethesda have followed up with a mediocre game. It shouldn’t have been surprising seeing that they released Redfall this year too. I’ll give it 3 stars because I never ran into any bugs in 3 hours of playing, the graphics are good (facial animations are outdated), and there is quite a lot of work done with the cities and factions. However the procedural generation and fast travel means that I never felt like the universe was joined, unlike the other Bethesda games.    … Expand

    Game is bland as can be. Each "world" is two or three points of interests and a few things to shoot. Traveling consists of multiple screens hitting the X button to move to it then hitting the X button again to land. Going to a world across the universe and you get out to find its the same blank pallet of the world you just left. This game is terrible

    Played it for about 40 minutes, then returned it. First off, the pronoun thing absolutely took me out of the game. I don’t play games to be reminded of our current reality. Secondly, it’s boring. People say it gets better 10+ hours in, but I wasn’t convinced. I’ll pick it up when it goes on sale, but not worth $70.

He encontrado secretos templos ocultos, estructuras abandonadas y cientos de ítems; también he abordado naves espaciales y las he incautado tras eliminar a su tripulación, además las he modificado y potenciado sus cañones, láseres, motores y bodegas... He acudido a una clínica estética en la ciudad de Akila, la cual se encuentra en el sistema solar de Cheyenne, donde he cambiado mis ojos y me he implantado pelo... He realizado misiones de mercenario, donde tenía que eliminar a alguien; también misiones de investigación, de transporte de gente y mercancias, de exploración... Bethesda se ha pasado de la raya. Le pongo una nota de 1 porque al menos puedo realizar mis necesidades fisiológicas, si bien después tengo que seguir jugando. Esto es intolerable, no sé cuántas horas estaré así. No debería permitirse a ninguna desarrolladora crear un juego con tantas variantes y posibilidades y con tantos planetas y cosas que hacer.     The graphics are terrible for a game in 2023 and from such a famous developer studio. The beginning of the game couldn't be more boring than it is in Starfield. The battles are not interesting either on earth or in space. I spent about 5 hours playing the game and have no plans to return. Damn it, I think the characters and NPCs look better even in Skyrim

    The game crashes constantly on Xbox Series X. Had to uninstall in order to play the game via cloud gaming. As far as the game goes it seems like all I am doing is walking to a load screen over and over again, zero motivation for exploring. Combat is lackluster. Too much junk to sift through to find useful items. The game kind of sucks.

    When I heard that from reviews that it was slow start, I didn’t expect that it would be this boring. From the hype and the promise, this game has more compromise than next gen features. The graphics and character models are outdated and the glitches from BGS past returns.
    Great for everyone who has Game Pass as this is certainly not worth the retail price tag.

    I wanted to like this game I really did, but as a bethesda fan I feel like I've been lied to and sold on a lot of features by bethesda themselves that is not present in the game on launch. I hope they do better with the elder scrolls VI because if they mess that one up to then I will be done with Bethesda.

    I really wanted to like this game, but it is not what they said. This game is graphically outdated and not fun to play, There is no AI, NPC are creepy. I didn’t get myself having fun playing it. The loading screens simply makes you feel bad. 30fps in next-gen machines is unacceptable. Honestly this is a xbox360 game.

    O jogo em sim promete muito e não entrega nada. Um jogo completamente bugado, gameplay quebrada é não tem nada de revolucionário ficou devendo muito. Muitos problemas de travamentos e muitos loadings excessivos que acaba com a imersão da gameplay.

    This game presents a quality similar or even inferior to their last game Skyrin released10 years ago.
    The Open World feels empty, there is no exploration and you dont feel willing to explore planets or systems, because everything is done by a Menu selecting landing points. Once you arrive you find rocks, an enemy base and that is it.

    pas de sans sensation quand on tire l IA débile le personnage de soutient souvent bloquer dans un mure et il vient pas t aider (génial)
    les munition un bordel on ce re trouve souvent sans aucun munition même si tu prend l arme de l ennemie ou alors il y a peut de balle .
    des temps de chargement a chaque zone porte monter dans le vaisseau sortir etc.. pas de carte pour au moins te guider le menu pour naviguer ou aller choisir une arme etc.. un calvaire tu ramasse de tout est du n importe quoi est vite tu est en surcharge .
    quand y a des scène cinématique gâcher par des bug
    heureusement que c était dans le gamepass que j ai pas vraiment payer le jeux
    ces la premier fois dans un jeux j était aussi déçut énerver de me retrouver sans munition a chaque fois sa casse le rythme de l action etc... ces vraiment dommage j ai pris une xbox series x pour ce jeux ben je passe chez sony direct est re vendre ma xbox

    This is the most boring game i have ever played in my life. Ai is stupid, so the combact is useless. The dialogues are boring which are the main thing in this game. Because of this i think that this game doesn't reach his objectives.

    It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
