Looks like an AA game with medium budget, but I still had pretty much fun playing it. Nice D&D with a lotnia fights, great in Xbox Game Pass.

The game does match the DND 5e ruleset, but is that enough to be a great game? I don't think so. For one, there are a lot of bugs that I experienced, the game would close out a lot when trying to reload the game, also the menu and shops are bugged. Also FPS drops would randomly happen. Some others mention worse than that

Character design is honestly bland looks like something from

Character design is honestly bland looks like something from previous SIMS loool. Way too much repetitive battles of the same types of enemies, I mean how many times we got to fight spiders, (it's a surprise when you don't have to).

You don't get any good loot/items for the most part, this always disappoints me when playing a crpg/dnd game and no good items

The story is okay, but nothing that makes you want to do a second playthrough. What doesn't help is the party dialogue/banter, it's funny once in awhile but doesn't fit a lot of the times as it's like forcing jokes to see if it works or not. not every cutscene for your characters needs to have a sarcastic remark. I did laugh though sometimes. The voice acting is meh, nothing really stands out.

The game is actually quite difficult at times. I had to turn down the difficulty in some battles, I think some of this was due to the party comp that I had, I did wish however that we could have five instead of four characters in the group. I think that would of been more fund, at least for me.

I finished the game, but games like these need good stories, this doesn't have that. Sure it's okay but this isn't anywhere near to perfect.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister brings enough new touches to the table to make it a recommendation, especially as it comes with the promise of online co-op and a Dungeon Creation tool. There is more than enough here to keep you rolling your dice for the foreseeable future.
