    Aiming and looting is a bit weird but with a squad you can have fun. People are complaining about graphics and what not. It’s a cartoonish game what did you expect. We’re having mad fun playing it.

    One of the worst shooters I've played in my life, an empty and repetitive world, gameplay from 15 years ago, the worst AI I've seen in many, many years, graphics that don't belong to this gen. It is very sad what Microsoft has done with Arkane.

    Très déçu après 2 jours et pas mal d'heures pour un titre que j'attendais beaucoup. J'ai l'impression de me forcer à jouer et de retourner sur les débuts PS4/XboxOne le tout dans une mollesse de gameplay incroyable.

    Quand Arkane sait nous faire des Disonhored/ Bioshock/Deathloop... le talent et savoir faire devraient être au rendez-vous.     I give this game 1 point because I paid for it through my game pass and didn't pay the full price. My recommendation to anyone looking into these reviews is to save time and buy games like Borderlands or Doom or even Duke Nukem 3D, which still look decent, have great AI, fun hooking gameplay, and a rewarding experience. P.S.: I don't blame Microsoft for this because you can't make an AAAI give this game 1 point because I paid for it through my game pass and didn't pay the full price. My recommendation to anyone looking into these reviews is to save time and buy games like Borderlands or Doom or even Duke Nukem 3D, which still look decent, have great AI, fun hooking gameplay, and a rewarding experience.     Redfall is an aggressively subpar game that fails to deliver compared to the previous titles from Arkane.

    Killing vampires could be fun if they stopped glitching through buildings, the skill tree could be interesting if half of it wasn't worthless and co-op could be a good time if anyone I knew wanted to play it after they've spent a few hours with it. I think this has suffered the same fate as Suicide Squad in pivoting from an always online live service game given how missions are taken on and how, in nearly completing the game, the majority of skills on the skill tree are unobtainable due to a too low a level.

    I liked the idea, it's Arkane it could of been great, it should of been better but it isn't worth your time, not saying it couldn't be pulled around and do a Cyberpunk, but I'm not holding out hope. Genuinely if you find any joy in this game, I do not understand but you do you, but let's not willingly blind ourselves to the glaring, I mean GLARING faults that this game should never of been released with.    … Expand

    Just played it and holy s***, what in the blue hell did Arkane actually make!? What a HUGE letdown from Deathloop, my 2021 Game of the Year.

    Red fall é um jogo com um grande potencial e uma excelente história, mas infelizmente assim como muitos jogos de hoje ele lançou precisando de polimento, mas nada que tire o brilho de mais uma excelente franquia da Arkane.

Es un juego entretenido, con una buena banda sonora, la historia no es la mejor pero es buena, a pesar de las quejas sobre su falta de modo rendimiento pienso que en este juego no es esencial, de lo que he jugado no me parece una jugabilidad tan frenética como para que en verdad requiera los 60fps o más, aunque eso no justifica el hecho de que ya lo habían vendido con esa idea, no me he topado con ningún bug, aunque es cierto que la inteligencia artificial no es la mejor, pero nada que afecte la experiencia de juego ya que sigue siendo disfrutable, en cuanto a los gráficos tiene un estilo artístico que no le da un aspecto muy realista, pero definitivamente no son gráficos de pasada generación, tiene una muy buena iluminación, las texturas tienen buenos desplazamientos y buenos mapeos de bump no encontré coaliciones raras en objetos que no deberían tener, los follajes cuentan con movimiento y algunos efectos no se ven nada mal, si comparamos con anteriores juegos de arkane graficamente este se nota más trabajado aunque con ligeros tropiezos en la optimización, en conclusión personalmente no me parece tan mal juego como lo quieren vender tiene sus tropiezos pero nada como para tachar el juego de injugable o disfrutable, es entretenido… Expand

    On the hardest difficulty, you can outsmart the AI by ducking behind any single obstacle. If that wasn't enough, the game looks and runs like crap, has terrible dialogue and voice acting, no cutscenes, and came out about 3 generations too late. This is one of the worst games I've ever played, and the fact that they're charging $70 USD for it is nothing short of insulting. Play anything else.

    So far is really boring. I am playing and really trying to like it but its just a meh game. The guns are all the same, it just change the levels. So much to explore around the theme but its just shoot and level up. Bleh.

    Redfall es un juego que se siente incompleto, desde cinemáticas que son diapositivas de Powerpoint hasta escenarios planos y vacíos, una IA en los enemigos vergonzosa, estructura narrativa pobre, etc.

    Excelente juego, la prensa no sabe nada. Llevo más de 20hs de juego y claramente le tiraron con todo solamente por ser exclusivo de Xbox, deathloop salió en mal estado y nadie dijo nada solamente por salir en ps5. Lamentable lo que hizo la prensa y los fans de Sony con este juego.

    Redfall es un juego glorioso y majestuoso original y muy divertido, Es simplemente un juego pensado a futuro y que ira creciendo con el tiempo en contenido... Se que es el futuro se convertirá en un mejor juego.

    As an Arkane fan, this one hurts. By now you've heard this game is bad. You know about the performance issues and everything else. But I'm not basing my score on those particular elements. When you strip away all of the technical issues, at its core, Redfall is simply uninspired and boring. Outside of some of the designs and pieces of lore, this doesn't even feel like an Arcane game.     I couldn't play for a day due to constant disconnect issues. Now I crash to xbox dashboard every so often. The AI is terrible. I just bum rush all of them with a shotgun and it's easy. The graphics seem out of date and animation isn't good. And the cut scenes are not $70 AAA material.

    The game was good, not impressive. I enjoyed killing vampires. The story was good, but the zombies and enemies were boring. I didn't have a problem with it. 30 frames. I hope you will correct the mistakes.

    Now played 10+ hours, and don't get all the extremely bad rep here. "0" seriously?? It's simple but good fun. The storyline is cool enough and the game keeps growing on me as I go along. Playing this solo on Xbox x series and it's running smoothly. It as its bugs that surly will be fixed. Together with the atomic heart release this keeps adding good value to game pass. No complaints! GaveNow played 10+ hours, and don't get all the extremely bad rep here. "0" seriously?? It's simple but good fun. The storyline is cool enough and the game keeps growing on me as I go along. Playing this solo on Xbox x series and it's running smoothly. It as its bugs that surly will be fixed. Together with the atomic heart release this keeps adding good value to game pass. No complaints!     En líneas generales bastante entretenido y de buena calidad me encanto! lo juego en Xbox series X y se mueve bastante bien, la calidad del sonido ambiente y apartado musical bastante bueno, en gráficos se ve bastante bien y para un -first person shooter- a 30fps no me incomoda al ser un videojuego PVE.

The fact that im still wanting to play it after being hours in kinda says it all. Art direction is cool. Sound design is cool. Gunplay is cool. Some minor bugs and visual hiccups can probably be patched. Not gonna be a game of the year contender but not aIts not quite what I expected from Arkane. Im a huge fan of their past outings so I went for it. The atmosphere is super cool. The fact that im still wanting to play it after being hours in kinda says it all. Art direction is cool. I refuse to believe that QA and internal reviewers looked at this and told publishers that this game was ready. Microsoft is 100% to blame for allowing a game like this to release in its current state. Microsoft should have delayed this game an extra 20 years

    Although RedFall was a much anticipated game that doesn't hide the fact it came out half-baked. A bug fest, fps dipping, faulty Ai, and with a $70 price tag to add salt to the injury. Microsoft sent RedFall out to die without giving it a chance to shine.

Performance was poor though setting it to 80 degrees and switching off motion blur helped - but not much. A VRR TV has helped fill in some gaps giving it a more smoother experience. Just a very last-gen game, nothing to show off Xbox's more powerful setup compared to theDisappointing 1st party release for Microsoft.     I played for maybe 30 minutes within two minutes I find a dead guy on the ground laying next to another dead guy that looks just like him. I go downstairs I see a delivery truck the logo for it is so blurry it looks like a 640x480 bmp got blown up to 2560x1440 or something. I go outside    What a major disappointment I'm glad I bought both consoles, because Xbox just sucks this generation.

No the 30fps and performance issues are not the only problem with this game. It lacks creativity and vision. It feels like a game that Arkane was forced to make. There's no cutscenes, multiple unique and cool approaches to encounters, no real stealth mechanics other than going invisible for one of the characters and suppressors. Stealth has been done far better in Dishonored, Prey, and Deathloop. This was a game that has issues from the beginning, with a lack of passion and attention being at the core of this.… Expand

    En serio una consola de 15000$ y te dan tremenda basura de juego y con uno montón de fallos como los FPS que nos prometieron en cada juego de la marca, gráficas del 360 y con un montón de Bugs, el juego es repetivo y súper aburrido, sin mentir esa cosa es injugable.

    This game is absolutely trash. Glitches everywhere. The guns are unusable sometimes, the characters clip under the ground. The graphics are absolute garbage. As an Xbox user this is embarrassing and honestly makes me want to get a PlayStation 5 instead.

    The Game is very funny play It alone and with Friends ar mucho better. The only problem of this game is the polish. Maybe a month or two of delay could be better. But the few rendiment issues are anecdotical.

    Arkane, part of Bethesda Softworks that is now owned for a bit more than two years by Xbox Microsoft, released Redfall after a 12 month delay and it doesn't look good. The 4 player, co-op, single player game is graphically very bad, technically underperforms, enemy ai is the worst I've seen in decades, gunplay and progression system is terrible and not developed and the story is uninspiring and boring.
    We know Arkane isn't a high caliber studio, no one should expect that, but this is a $70 game that has no right to exist. The only thing that changed is that Xbox is now the owner of the studio and we see this is many of their releases; very mediocre Game pass filler. Xbox customers should expect more from what of the richest software companies in the world. All advertising for this game was false and Microsoft clearly didn't care, not about the game and definitely not about their customers.
    My advice is to stay as far away as possible of this product (I can't even call it a game).    … Expand

    This game is so lifeless and boring the enemies barely even engage with you. Can literally run circles around them. Game doesnt even have proper cutscenes but instead uses a slideshow smh. How did this not get delayed?

    Another unfinished game from the incompetent Bethesda and Microsoft studios. Not a good game in any way what so ever. Just garbage. The controls are the worst along with very bad graphics and game play.

    It’s awful. Flat out awful. The 30FPS makes it unplayable, it has the worst texture pop in I’ve ever seen. How this game was allowed to be released like this is beyond me. I’ve been an Xbox fan my entire life and frankly put I think the internet is right when they say Xbox is a sinking ship.

    Es los NPCs ellos hacen el juego tan tonto,tan aburrido.
    No se puede esperar nada interesante de la IA.

    A great premise for a game with a nice hook to set up for some great co-op play. The set-up is let down by subpar visuals and woeful AI on the human cultists. There are still some texture streaming issues in the early parts of the game which should have been picked up in QA.
    These issues break any tension that I was expecting.

    Missions and enemies are diverse. Every playable character feels different and unique and I bet (since I've only played it alone I'm only guessing) that in co-op their different skills and abilties really complement each other.     I've only had one minor glitch that forced a restart of the game. a tutorial pop-up that wouldn't go away and I couldn't hold B to make it disappear so I had to restart the game. But apart from that the games runs smoothly on Series X.    … Expand

    This may not be a $70 game but I am having a great time. People are really loving complaining about the game. I do not think its as bad as people are saying. I didnt start playing until after both of the updates on the release date. There was a 2nd update after 10pm usa and most of the critics were doing reviews on a game release prior to day 1 patches. Some of the complaints I hear are things that are in other aaa games. Like having to be in proximity of host to progress the mission. Just finished playing dead island and in that u had to be within alike a 3 foot circle to progress anything so then in this game they complain about it but its ok in dead island 2.

    This game currently get a lot of trashtalk from "influencers" that rate multiple games a week and still find time to create their content, edit it, etc. I don't believe for a second they finished this game in one day. I really liked the game. Especially like the focus on gameplay instead of    "A game to enjoy playing instead of watching in-game video fragments and endless chats with NPC's"

    I am struggling to think of a worse 1st party studio game having ever been released.

    Having spent 2 hours in the town of Redfall I am yet to find any redeemable features. So let's have a quick run through of my experience. Opening the game I was met to barely loading textures and a dialogue that seems to have come from a direct to dvd sci-fi channel movie. I entered the world and    I am struggling to think of a worse 1st party studio game having ever been released.

    Having spent 2 hours in the town of Redfall I am yet to find any redeemable features. So let's have a quick run through of my experience.

    Opening the game I was met to barely loading textures and a dialogue that seems to have come from a direct to dvd sci-fi channel movie.

    I entered the world and immediately was met with awful looking textures and a brain dead AI that stood within 5 foot of my character pointing his gun at the floor, another AI then appeared that had no character animations and moonwalked down some stairs. I snuck up on both, hit them once and they clipped through my character, grunted slightly and died.

    I then moved through the town coming across exactly 0 enemies and made it to the Firestation Hub. I spent roughly 20 seconds struggling to aim at the enemies, went downstairs to the basement and outwitted the Vampire by standing behind a chair. I found the shotgun, stabbed the vampire and helped the NPC's escape to safety.

    Redfall then loaded up Microsoft Powerpoint and showed me an in engine slide show of all the characters pointing at textures that wouldn't load up.

    I decided to start the first mission and the character I needed to talk to had vanished. I spoke to a floating clip board and they told me to speak to other NPC's in the firestation.

    I spoke to the other NPC's who told me to go outside. I saw 2 helicopters explode, went to the crash sites and encountered 0 enemies on the way.

    I ran in to the 1st crash site & picked up an object of some description and killed the last remaining brain dead AI.

    We then trudged to the 2nd crash site that was guarded by 4 cult members and 2 vampires. I used all my cunning to crouch and punch the NPC's and then used a technique known as "walking backwards and moving slightly to the left" to dodge both vampires.

    I killed them, walked up a hill, found a random object and then that was the mission completed. I then fast travelled back to the Firestation and watched the textures slowly load in front of me.

    It took a full 3 minutes for the logo on the floor to render.

    I then had to go and take over a safehouse, but to do that I had to find a key, I found the key having ran in to 0 enemies, then a vampire saw me, picked me up and killed me in 1 hit.

    I then uninstalled the game and will never play it again.

    The 1 positive I can find is that the logo looks quite nice.

    No amount of patches, fixes or road maps can fix this game. Arkane need to move on to something else and leave this dumpster fire behind.

    Well worth the new $70 price tag    … Expand

    Game was released unfinished. Technically absolutely in an unacceptable state. Gameplay makes no fun as single player. Teamup is only possible with friends and not with randoms. No words to say about this anymore.

    Redfall has already won "game worth skipping" of the year.
    I honestly can't name a single merit of this game.

    The result is a game with no identity of its own. Redfall simultaneously wants to be a looter shooter like Borderlands, in an open world like Fallout's, with action like Dying light and a lengthy multiplayer experience like Destiny. But it fails on all counts. The game environments are bleakly empty, the gameplay is wooden. Like the vampires from the world of Redfall, the game has no soul.

    Sadly, Redfall had unbelievable potential and a dynamic studio behind this that is known for quality gaming, but under delivered at quite literally almost every facet of the game. Redfall, unfortunately, should be avoided, and in fact, I hope that the industry starts taking a look at these games and starts evaluating its processes, because if you're only as good as your last game, then Arkane isn't looking good at all.
