I admit that this needed more time and more QA, and I'm hoping they can turn this around. It is not a 5 or lower. It didn't need to be released like this. Não existe nada no game que mereça elogio. O desempenho é ruim, a gameplay é ruim, os gráficos são ruins, a IA é ruim, a história é ruim, os npcs são ruins. Tive muitos crashes no Series S. Faltou não somente capricho, mas tb talento ao desenvolver o game, me parece um jogo feito por estagiários de curso online, sem verba. Parece inclusive um jogo feito com raiva, feito com má vontade, feito de qualquer jeito. Não se vê capricho e dedicação no game. Mesmo se o jogo fosse adiado por mais 1/2 anos para corrigir problemas técnicos, lançar com 60 fps, continuaria sendo um jogo ruim, pois nada é bem executado no game. É um jogo que não deu certo. Sem dúvidas esse é o pior jogo da Arkane e do Xbox, sendo pior até que crackdown 3. Enfim, é um jogo péssimo, que seria melhor que não existisse, deveria ter sido cancelado.… Expand

    If looking for a grand single player narrative then this game won't be for you. I had fun with my 17 hour playthrough. I experienced a couple minor bugs but overall it was pretty good.

    The game is definitely not as bad as people are trying to make it out to be. The broken AI and performance are definitely the only big problems I’m experiencing (and I expect them to be fixed in the near future). The ridiculous and disproportionate outrage against this game and team, driven by console war hatred is disgusting.

    Game has no magic like previous Arkane games, but still single player can be enjoyable. Simple and stupid opponents. Nice music and sounds, which make it little creepy.
    Probably coop game makes more fun, as all comments from our character are intended to someone nearby. Using more/mixed powers from different characters from team probably makes more sense.

    It follows the Farcry formula, aka open world first person shooter where you 'one man army' the enemy one neighborhood at a time, but this game blows Farcry out of the water. Keeping with this comparison Redfall has tons more enemy types (which was always my knock on Farcry), better 'outposts' where the missions are actually unique, cooler weapons like a a UV ray gun not justIt follows the Farcry formula, aka open world first person shooter where you 'one man army' the enemy one neighborhood at a time, but this game blows Farcry out of the water. Keeping with this comparison Redfall has tons more enemy types (which was always my knock on Farcry), better 'outposts' where the missions are actually unique, cooler weapons like a a UV ray gun not just rifle/piston/shotgun etc., special abilities, and way less but better collectables that actually contribute to the story and incentivize you to look for them.

    Speaking from someone whos played 20 hours solo the game is creepy as hell. The game is so atmospheric and dark that I think playing with other people would kind of ruin the experience of sneaking around corners through a dark house with your flashlight. Tons of details in the world and you can actually go inside a lot of houses/stores around the island.

    Performance wise, textures take a ton of time to load and framerate is just ok. I'm writing this a week after release so pretty par for the course for games these days. Devs already said they would support this game long after the release so if you want to buy it, wait a few months. If you have gamepass its a must play.    … Expand

    This game is a real, real crap. It managed to give me a little bit of pleasure for a few hours before it was uninstalled. And the problem does not come from the technique or the 30 fps, but from the totally archaic concept.

    I played the Redfall for 1h and its unspeakable... The game have worst gameplay I see that only sprint, jump and kill that bad A.I Vampire's. I see low-quality textures that even can't look on that. I sorry for Arkane Austin and Microsoft.

    I really wanted to like this but its absolutly garbage :( I hate to do this but Redfall is an absolute garbage. Arkane Studios well known for great quality and polished releases but Redfall broke that cycle. I'm so disappointed in this game I'm truly heart broken that one talented developers made this game in this state.

    Truly hideous visual design. Truly unbelievably ugly character models. Terrible weapon design. Boring combat at the best of times, broken and buggy at the worst. AI is either cheating or is brain-dead. Combat design is frustrating (why can't I just use a stake as a melee weapon? Why does it have to be attached to my gun?). Game design in general is frustrating: huge glass window next to aTruly hideous visual design. Truly unbelievably ugly character models. Terrible weapon design. That window is invincible and can't be broken, so you must use a precious lockpick. Huge glass window that leads nowhere and is not important? It can be broken. Glacially slow XP gain means that you don't feel that you're advancing in any way. Enemies can and will spawn either into walls or will just pop into existence directly behind you whenever they please. The gun visuals are so hilariously overdone it's actually kinda shocking: most guns look like they're either out of Borderlands, Tron, or Diablo. The only enemies that offer any kind of challenge are the vampires and they all behave the same way.

    Just an utter, complete mess. It's free on Games Pass and I still won't play it again. Maybe it's fun with friends (most things are) but playing solo the game's loop is so broken and unsatisfying it feels like punishment.    … Expand

    El bueno me gustó. Creo que hay mucho Review bombing. Es verdad que hay algunos bugs, problemas de rendimiento no note y lo más críticable es la IA de los enemigos. El juego en si es bueno, los gráficos son modelados de alta calidad pero con un estilo de los 80. El juego quiere remitir al jugador a una época de película de terror retro. Mis modelos son medios caricaturescos cómo forniteEl bueno me gustó. Creo que hay mucho Review bombing. Es verdad que hay algunos bugs, problemas de rendimiento no note y lo más críticable es la IA de los enemigos. Change your controller settings, to sliding on bumper buttons, you can cancel movement by pulling back on your left between animations for more fluidity. Great atmosphere, comes to life on harder difficulties. Explore everywhere, gather supplies and discover new locations your own way.

    - abysmal optimization that requires RTX 4090 minimum & still can't hit 60fps!
    - a $70-$90 price tag for a mid and unfinished games!

    I didn't like the game since initial trailers  and I only ended testing it because it was free in Gamepass and people hate it... but I ended liking it A LOT and I'm not sure totally why I like it. I understand the criticisms, they are valid, but the thing is the game is fun, addictive and immersive for me. I must say I play alone. Gunplay is very satisfying also, specially headshots, they feel amazing thanks to the feedback sound.     As someone who mostly prefers to play games that are cooperative in nature, Redfall delivers for me in a way that other games haven’t in a long while. There really aren’t many games where you take the role of a predefined character and get dedicated narrative beats as you are playing cooperatively with friends who have all taken up different roles.

    Sure, this game isn’t perfect. Graphical    As someone who mostly prefers to play games that are cooperative in nature, Redfall delivers for me in a way that other games haven’t in a long while. There really aren’t many games where you take the role of a predefined character and get dedicated narrative beats as you are playing cooperatively with friends who have all taken up different roles.

    Sure, this game isn’t perfect. Graphical issues flicker on the screen, the game has booted me out to the character selected screen once or twice. Also, it is true that the enemy AI does seem to take too long to respond, or aren’t triggered fast enough. Some of the settings around how this game controls with a gamepass need adjustment, but this is currently doable in the options. All of this however doesn’t necessarily bring down the experience all that much as the game is still challenging (on hard difficulty) and a ton of fun with friends. Moving from mission to mission with friends is seamless. Loading in and fast traveling are very quick. There is so much opportunity for moments of emergent gameplay as you work with your buddies and combine your skills and abilities to take on missions which are designed to be approached in multiple ways. More, Redfall’s atmosphere has pulled me in. I’m interested to continue to unfold what’s happened in this town. And, overall, it’s art style hits a tone of being fun but also scary, mysterious. I think a lot of the discourse around this game stems from outside factors. There is very clearly a bias against MS and Xbox and I think it has mired a very special game. But even in just a matter of a few days it’s clear that public sentiment around this game does not match the critical reaction. I’ve seen people that haven’t played on Xbox in years sign online to try this game and I’ve received multiple messages about how it’s a ton of fun.

    I would recommend giving this game a try at some point. If the technical issues are a barrier for you, I would say come back later after they’ve been patched. But overall, I see myself finishing this completely in co-op at least once and even coming back to complete multiple times in solo play.    … Expand

    No le pongo un cero porque creo todo juego relativamente terminado merece por lo menos un 1 de calificación. Es la primera vez que pongo una nota tan baja a un videojuego (exceptuando Diablo Inmortal) y es simplemente la conclusión de un ciclo de mediocridad en Xbox que nunca parece acabar.     Good lord this is one steaming pile of poop. To think this was made by Arkane studios and the ball was dropped this hard is quite concerning. This game is somehow in a more worse state than fallout 76 was at release, how thats possible I'm not sure.

    But what's wrong with the review bombing? I thought Metacritic wants to improve on that? More than half of the user reviews are concern trolling console warriors who didn't even gave Redfall a try.

Yo la verdad aprecio a Arkane y tenia esperanzas de un muy buen juego pero es cierto que se queda muy corto, aunque en ciertos aspectos del estilo de arkane cumple bastante bien, el rendimiento va bien pero es mejorable, los graficos, iluminacion, sondio y ambientacion esta muy bien hecho, habilidades, armas y variedad de enemigos estan bien, las misiones secundarias y principales son interesantes y desde luego te hacen pasar un buen rato pero en cuanto a la IA es muy floja, las mecánicas de movimiento son muy toscas, la historias no es tan buena y los npcs no son muy carismáticos. En fin para mi sigue siendo muy divertido y le daba un 7 o un 6 pero de verdad dejad de llorar y criticar algo que ni siquiera habéis probado o jugado solo porque es de la "competencia", que eres de Albacete y mañana tienes examen de Mates a primera, no eres un embajador de ninguna empresa. Quand on voit des mastodontes comme jedi fallen order bourré de bug, au moins redfall est jouable , pas le plus beau mais pas le plus moche non plus. Si vous y jouez dans le gamepass, n’hésitez pas à plonger dans l’aventure. Par contre, à l’achat son prix devrait davantage tourner entre 40 et 50€ au lieu de 80€.… Expand

It's easy to compare guns with a pin system. As far as the guns go my only complaint is true lack of variety of Legendary weapons, other than a major stat change. I think they should have changed the skin, rename the weapon for those instances. Level design is actually good. It does feel rushed but overall its a really fun game to play but you have to be willing to put in the hours. I think in the end this will be like a cyberpunk! My true score would be in the range of 7.8-8.2. The "MEDIA" got this wrong! Play it on the gamepass!… Expand

    Red fall is great, it’s has a very nice Arkane feel to it very traditional. The characters are very lively, the map has an intense feel to it like there’s dread around every corner which makes sense because there are Vamps around. The Vamps move like traditional Vamps move around very fast lashing out at you with their claws. Everything just makes a lot of sense when playing the game.

    One of the worst experiences I've ever had on Xbox. The game is very clunky. The AI breaks all the time and the textures take years to load in. I do not recommend playing this game or spending any money on it. Even if you have game pass don't download it. I would rather go back to my 360. The textures and graphics look better.

This is a mostly broken game that's fun for a few hours then too easy and too broken and no matchmaking.

Until then, under no circumstances should ANYONE pay $70 for this game. Even after patches, I would suggest waiting till the price comes down.     Redfall is about a vampire invasion of an island town called Redfall. You get four characters to choose from before starting the actual game. Characters that have their own story. The characters talk to each other, which helps you learn about them specifically. What we do know, is that the main characters are like your standard Left 4 Dead and/or Back 4 Blood. Which sounds cool on paper but does it deliver? Let's find out.

    When I start the game, I am met with my character, in this case Jacob. You see two vampires feeding on a person. You can't help the person and are forces rlto watch them eat blood. Yes, you read correctly "eat". They don't look like they are sucking blood. They look like sloppy eaters who don't know how to bite off skins. In another way they are like intelligent zombies. Anyhow, as I lay there watching them, they end up notice me and begin to try and feed on me. Which does not happen, which is an obvious situation that is like a plot device from the Xbox 360 and PS3 Era. When they run, you get to meet the one of the big bads. A vampire lady called the Black Sun. They very same vampire who blocks out the sun in Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Dawnguard fashion.

    Then the gameplay starts; which feels like a Left 4 Dead game, but with vampires. When you start off, you are supposed to head out of the drained harbor and head to the fire station. They you get access to the main quests upon a quest table, which again feels like an Xbox 360 game mechanic.

    As you start exploring and doing the main quests and/or safe house quests. You find the repetitive gameplay loop when you start the main open-world activities. Which as bad as it sounds is not the worse part of the game. It give so much of a Left 4 Dead plot device and gameplay. It clicks with me. Which I admit I am enjoying the game even with the thirty frames per second. The thirty refresh rate is a bummer, but it isn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue is the amount of bugs within the game. From simple bugs and glitches to funny ones that Bethesda studios are known for. However, having to dashboard and reset the game to get quest objectives to work is frustrating. It will test a person's patience. The fun and adventure is good, but everything else hinders the experience to frustrate and disappoint many gamers. Even with all the bugs, which some are far and between since they only happen with co-op. The game has potential and is still fun and interesting if you like Left 4 Dead. However, if you are here for the co-op then you are in for a huge disappointment in Redfall. Co-op is broken, it has been dashboarding me and my friends, when we try to play together. Not only that it is not a seemless multiplayer experience. It acts like Left 4 Dead multiplayer. You have a host and only their progress counts. Yet, it is an easy way to get to level 40, which is the level cap of the game, super easily if you have plenty of friends playing. Even with the disconnect issues and game freezing that happens with co-op play. Most if not all the bugs and glitches occurs when playing co-op. Both game breaking and silly ones. From characters T posing to not being able to pause, crouch, or punch in the game. The characters themselves have their own personalities, but where they shine are their abilities and conversations with each other. Which means while Jacob and Devinder are the better choices to choose from, the best experience are if person has a character picked. One person picks Jacob, one pick Divinder, and so on. Otherwise, you are skipping character story and relationship development. What do I mean by character relationship development? The game supports a TRUST system which means when you play with people who are different characters, you get to have more dialog between the four characters. Which helps get to know each one. Now their abilities play a certain role for the game. With Jacob being the sniper and rogue type. While Devindernis the crowd control character. These two characters are wonderful to play as, because their skills are the most useful. Remi is the support, besides her healing ability, her other abilities are pretty much useless. She gets a robot companion that becomes an annoyance than a helpful tool. It gets in the way and the AI like all the other AI in the game is terrible. Then we have Layla, the psychic who can use her vampire EX Boyfriend to tank and he is decent, but falls flat later in the game.

    Now even with some of these set backs with the actual game, I honestly believe that Redfall does not deserve the overwhelming hate it is currently receiving. Is a game like Redfall perfect? No. However, it can be fun if you can look past the bugs or when co-op is working correctly.    … Expand

    In conclusion, the game is unfinished, lifeless and gets repetitive pretty fast. The game needed at least one more year of development and even then it would have been nothing special. And the worst thing, it makes me worry about upcoming Xbox games like Perfect Dark or Fable.    … Expand

    Despite the bugs, glitches, etc., Redfall is so much fun. My son and I are having a great time. The atmosphere, city, audio, story is great. Xbox has already stated that patches are on the way which will fix most of the issues. Try it, you'll like it.

    I like it. Mind you I don't ho off Unqualified critics reviews who play 2 hours or not at all as some have admitted. My squad who play it also jave only minor issues with it being bugs and occasional stuck AI. Use your own brains and eyes and give ut a shot, a real one. 10+ hours. Ypu may be surprised.

    Bon jeu jeu que je préfère largement à Atomic heart par exemple. Bonne ambiance et progression intéressante. Dans le game pass donc pas de regret.

    Es un buen juego le falta pulir varios apartados, uno de ellos es la inteligencia de los enemigos, se nota que algunos menus pueden ser mejores, como otras cosa mas pero si no haces casos a esas alarmas empiezas a juegar y te sumerges en la tematica o lo que el creadores querian trasmitir es buenisimo.

    Las claves son:

    1-. Un buen parche
    2-.integrar mas detalles en algunos apartados

    I really wanted to like redfall. Love Arkanes previous games but this is a far cry from those. I’ve played on and off for the past 2 days with friends and solo. Experienced multiple crashes, utterly broken Ai, a grocery list worth of bugs, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The real problem at the core of the game though is that it’s just bad.     I always thought Phil, our savior, and the Xbox would rise up and get better under his leadership, but he let us down. First Halo Infinite, then the gamepass price hike, now this, and looking at the way Starfield looks, I don't expect anything good. I should have picked the PS5, but I trusted Phil, who promised us a bright future, and all for nothing

    Is the game as bad as people say? Also, yes.
    REDFALL is in a curious position where fun elements exists, and the overall concept a CO-OP shooter against vampires sounds great. But you have to really try to have fun, by either exploiting brain dead AI, Or share screenshots online of yet another bug or picturesque locals, that have yet to    Is the game better then people say? Only the Host able to keep mission progress, and underwhelming loot , and other odd design choices hurt my enjoyment further.

    Incomplete and only 30fps.
    Bad enemy AI.
    Full of bugs and bad mechanics.
    If you want to play Single player, it needs internet connection always?! Why the f!?
    Playing coop, it doesnt save your game progression... plain riddiculous

    Des graphismes digne de la Xbox one, un contenue assez pauvre et un scénario inintéressant qui sert juste pour décorer. Dommage car certains éléments de gameplay sont pour le coup intéressant même si il y reste du travail. Déception est    Du gâchis!     Ignore the reviews try it yourself on gamepass I've got ten hours in yes there is some bugs and no 60 FPS but the game is fun and in enjoying it and can't put the game down

    The result is a game with no identity of its own. Redfall simultaneously wants to be a looter shooter like Borderlands, in an open world like Fallout's, with action like Dying light and a lengthy multiplayer experience like Destiny. But it fails on all counts. The game environments are bleakly empty, the gameplay is wooden. Like the vampires from the world of Redfall, the game has no soul.

    Sadly, Redfall had unbelievable potential and a dynamic studio behind this that is known for quality gaming, but under delivered at quite literally almost every facet of the game. Redfall, unfortunately, should be avoided, and in fact, I hope that the industry starts taking a look at these games and starts evaluating its processes, because if you're only as good as your last game, then Arkane isn't looking good at all.
