When it comes to improve your arsenal and equipment, it is either fun and gratefull, because you ussually have to complete missions or defeat enemies to get such things, which helps a lot to improve and be able to face stronger enemies.

    I'm having so much fun!

Its good...the problem is that it could be better. I love the game to death, but I can also see how people hate it. Do your research to see if this one is right for you. It's a lot of grinding, and the enemies are pretty repetitive. The PVP and match making systems are unbelievably good. I do believe it is made for people with a specific taste though, so be aware.

Once again, Ubisoft screws gamers by butchering a game that was much cooler in development. I agree with critics who call Ubisoft the new EA. The Division looked awesome in E3 trailers, and Ubisoft made a point to show us the huge open world we could explore. Instead, we got about a fourth of that world, and the multiplayer component was severely hamstrung. The Division is fun occasionally, but its lacking too much content and variety to keep players interested for more than a few months.

A big component to rpg/mmo’s wannabes is customization and loot. TD fails on both fronts. Despite vehicles, trash, luggage, and military convos scattered everywhere, loot is incredibly rare. Enemies drop the same crap over and over. There are no epic or rare items. Inventory management is a pain because players can hold so little. Chronic loot congestion means players are constantly leaving missions and multiplayer to manage items. There’s a stash box which is accessible to all characters on an account. But the hassle of constantly selling and scrapping isn’t worth it.

Customization is laughable. There’s no individuality in TD because all characters look the same. Faces are so poorly rendered that guys and gals look identical. Gear is pathetic. Everyone runs around in jeans and parkas. No military armor. No police vests. No agency uniforms. Ubisoft developers dropped the ball here, and it’s mindboggling. COD and Destiny prove how much console players love customization. The lack thereof will alienate players.

Missions are repetitive. Enemies are repetitive—there are only 5 types I’ve encountered in 25 hours. Objectives are repetitive. Rewards are repetitive. Missions can be fun with friends, and TD gives the illusion that tactics are important. However, TD is only as good as the groups that play it. But the fact that most enemies wear zero armor and can absorb 500 bullets undermines the “realism” Ubisoft is pushing. A hoodie wearing attacker can run thru 300 M60 rounds without so much as flinching and kill a player with a single swing of a bat. No joke. This breaks the immersion. Plus, it frustrates players who expected strategic, realistic play. TD is filled to the brim with bullet sponge bosses and enemies who stand out in the open taking fire from heavily armed squads. It’s silly.

Exploring isn’t much fun because nothing really happens. Enemies will always respawn at certain spots. So after a few passes on the maps, players will always get the jump on unsuspecting baddies. Unlike the footage we saw in the trailers, nobody uses vehicles. What happened to the Mad Max roamers ploughing the streets in garbage trucks?

Game performance is bad. Constant flickering and frame rate drops plague TD. Players must always be plugged into a server, even when playing solo. The servers are often unreliable. They don’t cull players either, so multiplayer is generally uneventful.

Multiplayer should’ve been TD’s best feature, but the “Dark Zone” is actually one of the worst multiplayer experiences out today. Players fight both AI controlled enemies and other players. Gear and abilities earned in the campaign carry over into the DZ and vice versa. In the E3 footage, we were shown multiple Dark Zones throughout New York. Instead, we get just one, and it’s small. Nearly all the problems that plague the campaign rear their ugly heads in the DZ. Plus, the DZ has unique problems that sap the remaining life out of TD.

Foremost, the DZ is divided into several areas. The harder areas are impossible to survive. Enemies possess ludicrously high health, respawn within a minute or two of dying, and rarely drop loot. My squad cleared out a warehouse and then pushed forward to the next area only to be flanked by the enemies we just defeated. We all died. It’s all the more frustrating because each death cost players money and experience points. In 2 hours, my rank dropped 4 levels and I lost $4,000 playing in Dark Zone Area 2. And that’s with a squad. I dare not venture into Area 3.

Second, encounters with players are rare. I’ve gone hours without seeing anyone. If someone accidently hits a friendly player and “goes rogue”, others will gang up on the poor soul and take them out. A rogue loses massive amounts of money, experience, and DZ gear when they die. However, killing a rogue player nets very little, except for the gear. The unbalanced rewards encourage players to camp low ranking areas of the dark zone and troll AI enemy spawns for loot.

Last, there’s no PVP, just PVPVE. Multiplayer is incredibly biased against PVP and exploration.

The Division has a solid framework which Ubisoft can build on. But TD has too many problems to be fixed before most players set it aside. I truly doubt Ubisoft has the expertise to distill TD into a solid hybrid shooter. I’m pissed that so much was removed by launch. We didn’t get a new franchise, we got Watch Dogs 2: Pedestrian Edition

I just cant enjoy this game. The aiming is very hard. You must shoot the enemy many times. You often die from one bullet while you need to hit them 10 times to kill an enemy? I play just about all shooter games and this one is different in terms of enjoyment. Constantly dying from waves of shooters that need to only hit you once to kill you. Couldn't get into this game.

I have spent no time in the dark zone (as I have been saving that for level 30 with a large group of friends; I know all about the dark zone, I played a lot of it in the beta, it's just pointless until you hit 30). The content package in the game right now is perfectly good. It's a loot-based shooter akin to Destiny, so you should know what you're getting into. The story is pointless dribble. It's an add-on. Anybody expecting something on the levels of the Wither or Mass Effect 2 is not only going to be disappointed, but you're a moron for wanting something like that in the first place.
The missions are fun, but they aren't the most varied things in the world. Due to the setting, the developer can't exactly get too creative with boss fights (so pretty much every boss is just a super armored dude that does more damage), but blame the semi-realistic setting for that. The mission designs are quite good and the levels are well designed and fun to play through. The 39 hours I spent in the game were an absolute blast. The gunplay is great, the amount of loot is mind numbing, and thank goodness they included plenty of vendors and weapon/gear crafting. You don't have to play the darkzone at all to get awesome gear. You can buy it yourself at the vendors or craft awesome weapons. Mechanically, the game is solid. I had 1 crash (literally 4 minutes before writing this review), got kicked off the servers only once (on launch day), and the frame rate holds up 99% of the time (there is notable dip when in groups of 4 surrounded by 10 enemies with everyone on fire, which is perfectly understandable). For 40 hours of content, it's absolutely worth $60. The after game is largely daily missions (daily challenge modes are like Destiny Nightfalls but harder, and they grant you guaranteed high-end (yellow/exotic) loot; daily missions also reward you phoenix credits, which you can use to buy high-level gear), the darkzone, and the eventual Incursions (raids). I can say that the game is definitely worth buying right now, and that's coming from someone who hasn't stepped int he darkzone once. I'm not sure how religiously I will play it now that I've beaten every on-disc PVE activity, but $60 for 40 hours of gameplay is a good value in my book. It's not perfect, of course. While I understand that these types of games aren't meant to have great stories (see my point above), I would still have liked more story elements, more cutscenes, more official introductions to main characters, both good and bad. Sometimes the controls are a little weird, but that's only 15% of the time, so I'm picking nits at this point. If you like games like Borderlands, Destiny, or Diablo, then you'll enjoy The Division.

Secondly we get to see an apocalyptic setting with out the need for monsters or zombie and Aliens, humans and the damage we can do to each other, its refreshing to see such a game that explores this and leaves out the mutations etc.

Thirdly we get a RPG and MMOG, true we have Destiny but that's far out space etc. This is earth this is our time. I really like the setting and the try to make it as realistic and graphic as they could

I spent a good amount of time with the beta so I was familiar with the controls, menu options, loot system, etc. They've made some minor tweaks for launch day that I think definitely were appreciated.

One of the frustrations I had with the game initially was entering and exiting cover. I felt like a lot of times I would pull away from cover which is a sure death wish in this game. I later found a setting where you can lock yourself to cover and need to initiate a button press to move off of it or navigate around a corner (think Gears of War). Found this to be much more useful.

The few hours I spent playing on day 1 (currently level 8) were spent outside of the DZ doing missions both solo and with a group of 3 friends. Both the solo and group experiences were both fun and challenging. You definitely want to pay attention to the recommended minimum levels for each of the missions (think recommended light from Destiny) as you will get worked otherwise. You also want to plan accordingly with your squad mates as the number of enemies is increased when playing with a full fire team. Think about who should equip assault related perks vs. healing perks, etc. It will definitely make a difference and I found this planning aspect to be one of the more interesting aspect of the game.

Outside of the game play, the graphics are great. NYC looks beautifully desolate and there are side conversations, echos (memory sequences), and other random events that definitely set the mood for the world you're thrown into.

One other component that I really appreciate is the requirement to do side missions. I've also been someone who likes to complete all missions, quests, etc when playing through a game (Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, etc). In most games these side missions will grant you additional XP or maybe a new weapon, weapon skin, loot, etc. With The Division, your abilities and perks are based on upgrading your Base Of Operations and modifications to these perks and abilities are based on credits gained from these side missions making them much more rewarding.

Obviously I still have a lot to play / experience with this game, but so far I'm really enjoying the experience and I think anyone giving this game a score less than a 7 or 8 is a absolutely nuts.

The Division has been teased for a long time, and it is a truly polarizing experience. I've heard convincing arguments from people who either loved it or hate it, and given the familiar (and controversial) "shared world" format, there seem to be few opinions that fall in the middle.
I've even heard the case that this is a "Gears of War / Borderlands / Assassins Creed / Destiny" hybrid... that is a lot to take in. So, the question posed by gamers; what is this game supposed to be, exactly?
Is this a superior co-op based cover shooter? Is it a ripoff? An innovative PvP experience? A rehash of things we've already seen?

The truth lies somewhere in the middle; The Division is a unique blend of familiar mechanics, mixed with enough nuances to warrant the attention any fan of Destiny or quality co-op shooters in general. You can't adequately rate a game based off of comparisons, so while nods to similar shooters are there, the comparisons stop now as far as this review is concerned.

Visually, the game is a feast. While PC goers have their version, this game is also eye candy on consoles. Aside from the gorgeous lighting and impressive texture work, the attention to detail is what makes this game shine. Few games really give you striking imagery at almost every turn. The Division is one of them. There's a unique level of atmosphere here which is hard to ignore, even for hardened players who have seen the apocalypse many times.
The way the sunrise spills over the streets of an abandoned New York, in the apex of a mass crisis, evokes a genuine moment of pause as you realize the daunting tasks ahead of you; whatever created this staggering level of destruction and emptiness is coming for you. Each street is littered with abandoned cars, body bags, stray dogs, and clues to the city's downfall.

Character models are a mixed bag. Loving detail was put into the player-controlled "Agents" and their gear/weapons. Not as impressive are the secondary cast of characters. Their animations are usually smooth, but their emotions are wooden.
Allied and enemy NPCs are, once again, well animated. However, character models aren't really varied. This serves as a game mechanic for the player to distinguish factions, but the fact that all seem to have uniformity is noteworthy.
A simple but engaging mechanic came in the form of "Echo beacons," virtual traces of life before and during the downfall. Each of these brief interactions tells a story. Sometimes it's just there on your way, sometimes it's simple detective work, but it -always- gives you something to think about.

Audio is mostly great here, as well. The score delivers dramatic undertones and thrilling orchestral scores for tense encounters. Voice acting is usually delivered well, but some secondary characters aren't believable in their delivery. The cheese is light, but I rolled my eyes once or twice. Everything else, from weapon sounds to enemy dialogue, is what you would expect but well done nonetheless. The minor details in the audio shine through to uplift the overall experience, and while there can be nothing taken away from the majority of the in-game audio, the game does not hinge upon it.

Gameplay. Simply put, it is fantastic. It's a responsive, tight, and rewarding third person shooter that can be enjoyed alone and with friends, which is huge to me. Games lose points when the player can't have fun flying solo. While you will enjoy the thrill of taking on these missions with others, there is nothing lost in this single player experience. This is the appeal "shared world" games; the option to share is always there, but not mandatory.
Cover systems aren't a new concept, but I couldn't imagine The Division functioning any other way. When in cover, you can select any other valid surface in range, and hold the cover button to execute a thrilling dash, which can be canceled mid-action for whatever reason.
The only real problem here, again, is sameness of enemy behavior.

Surviving in the Dark Zone is a frantic thrill which I won't get into, just try it.

A huge list of perks, talents, and abilities allow for unlimited tinkering. It truly rewards your builds for anything from close-range brawls to sniper duels. Using the proper abilities is crucial to your team's success, as there are many which reward you and your team for fighting effectively. There is no limit to how often you modify talents or change skill trees. You're limited to 3 core abilities at once, requiring tactical thinking on higher difficulty.

This game is a triumph. The firefights are pure thrills. The presentation is great. I can't adequately do a full review here, but if anything is going to hold this game back, it could be longevity. Some minor encounters are repeated. But as far as a day one package goes, this is a solid buy.

The minor gripes add up, but don't kill the game. Don't judge this one by it's cover.
    This is a high 8.

Game can be repetitive as "repeating missions" is here all the time. Just wish They made character models abit different. just not clothes but styles. Enemy AI is predictable but which game doesn't have that kind of feeling anyway?

The PVP works so good. The Dark Zone gives u the tension. A small advice. all of a sudden if u kicked from a group,in dark zone, wait for betrayal just RUN if u can all die while u try.

Ok agent, take ur time to enjoy this product. if u love to level up max fast, this game is a 4-5-6 / 10 to u.

Unfortunately, The Division is nothing like a great game.

Massive and Ubisoft seems to have no clue as to how to create a good multiplayer game. They may flounder when it comes to singleplayer experiences, like with Assassins Creed, but The Division is in a whole league of its own.

There are a couple of main areas where the game not only falls short but utterly fails completely:

    * Balancing
    * Lag
    * Being ready to be released as a "final game"
    * Lasting gameplay value

The balancing is utterly rubbish. The game has a cap on "damage mitigation" but no cap on "damage output". Let me give an example. Your player can wear different types of armor to reduce the damage you get from an enemy. If the enemy is capable of doing 1000 damage per shot (as a simple example), and you have 50% damage mitigation, your player will get 500 damage from that shot. Damage mitigation is capped at 65%, meaning that out of that 1000 the enemy outputs, your character will incur a health reduction of 650.

On the other hand, they have not capped damage output. If you have a character capable of outputting 300K damage per second, a player with a 65% damage mitigation will need 195K health to survive one second. It is not unheard of meeting players in PvP with 300+K damage output. This means that from the point where they decide to start firing upon you you would have less than 1 second to react in order to survive.

    So that's somewhat bad.

But what really makes this bad is the fact that the game has really bad lag, there are numerous Youtube videos about this. This means that the amount of time you have to react when someone decide to start shooting at you is less than one second, more like 1 second minus that lag.

Quite often when you meet players in PvP and they decide to shoot at you you're dead before you can even know what hit you.

This isn't a recipe for good PvP. This is basically a recipe for griefing.

The game was also quite a long way away from being ready to be released when it was released. There has been so many bugs, glitches, exploits, and problems that this game goes down in history as the worst game launch ever. Launch a new update which gives players a chance to earn "the best loot in the game, once a week" and players have *all* the best loot available in the game a few hours later because they've exploited various glitches to complete the "hardest part of the game" multiple times. Forget "once a week", this was reduced to "once or twice an hour".

Remember those 300K players in pvp? Who do you think you're up against if you enter PvP? The players who glitched and got all the best gear in the game the first night.

All of this hinges on the fact that the game has lasting replay value. A good such game will have you wanting to go home from work, every day, and log on. The Division managed to make that a chore. Log on every day and do your daily missions to earn the currency used to buy "the best gear in the game" and the log off because the only other way to get good gear is through PvP where you're getting slaughtered unless you glitched.

And let's not forget the facts that:

    * They managed to botch the daily missions, not only do they repeat 3-4 days in a row without change because some "programmer" at Massive used copy-and-paste to fill out the tables but they have disappeared from the game twice now, no dailys because the programmes didn't copy-and-paste enough.
    * The source of *all* the glitches in the game, a specific skill, is still not removed pending final fixes, meaning that you can still glitch in large parts of the game with this skill.
    * The "hardest content in the game", the new Incursion, which apparently gave the team at Massive a major problem getting through, and was then made even harder, was beat and then glitched through in less than an hour after launch. At some point Massive is going to realize that "the smartest people are not working at the same place you are" is quite true indeed.
    * The Incursion, which apparently was hyped with "new mechanichs", is basically a 15-wave horde mode where you battle 15 waves of enemies and have to deal with 4 mobs carrying explosives by picking up the explosive and placing it on a tank. If you've played *any* sort of MMORPG the last, oh, say, 15 years, you know that "boss mechanics" is ... not the same. Not the same at all.

This game had potential, it had promise, it looks gorgeous, and it went from superhyped and hot to irrelevant in less than a month.

There are numerous good games coming out this year, some quite soon too. Do your wallet a favour and stay away from The Division.

Unless, of course, you like playing buggy unfinished glitchy games where PvP balance is like the joke where someone suddenly throws a cream pie in your face. Then of course The Division is entirely your game.

The Division didn't re-write the story less than a year before launch, or sell original, cut content to customers, and call it DLC, unlike Destiny.

The Division doesn't have microtransactions, period. Unlike Destiny.

The Division has built in matchmaking, and doesn't rely on 3rd party websites just to find a group, unlike Destiny.

No question about it - The Division is much more of an RPG than Destiny will probably ever be without radical overhauls to that game. With so much to do from day one, it will take most players weeks or months to max out their characters and, even if they do max out quickly, there's the very competitive Dark Zone where you and your friends can try to fight for more impressive gear. While players might find the story a bit distant for the first several hours of gameplay, knocking out main story missions and engaging in bits of filler story scattered throughout Manhattan will quickly begin to paint a picture. Of course, players that stray a bit might find themselves trying to remember why they're out doing some seemingly-random tasks. The biggest opportunities for improvement lie in The Division's cover system, which usually functions well but has a few quirky glitches now and then that might frustrate you in a moment of combat. Where Destiny wants you to replay every single mission over and over to push forward as a player, The Division is built to be progressed through a story that isn't told through heavy repetitive missions. In fact, you'll never be encouraged to replay a mission unless you found it fun or need to recap what's going on with the story in that specific mission. Otherwise there are always new missions to play through until the very end (level 30 at launch). Graphics are solid, albeit not quite as impressive as they were three years ago when the game launched. This is unfortunate since the Snowdrop engine being used by Ubisoft is very powerful. Though we don't get the greatest visual experience on Xbox One, the visuals are still strong - especially when you consider this is a massive world. Even things like heavy snowfall and fog can play a vital role in visibility in some cases. Perhaps the most encouraging news is that Ubisoft isn't pressing for your hard-earned cash right away. The first few minor DLC packs will be free, with a pair of major DLC expansions that will really stretch the game - all within The Division's first year. Where Destiny is a bumbling mess when it comes to the long-game, The Division is much more strategic and engaging right from the get-go. If you can appreciate the third-person shooter viewpoint and dig open worlds that encourage social engagement then The Division is worth a try. Expand

I've been a fan of Tom Clancy's games since back in the day so when I heard about them making an MMO style game set in a post apocalyptic type of world I was excited... So this morning when Target opened I was there buying my copy. Here's the deal. Don't compare this game to Destiny, are they similar? Yes, on a somewhat shallow level, but whereas Destiny takes a MUCH more fantasy sci-fi approach to the open world mmo(ish)rpg, The Division is Tom Clancy fare all the way, save for the fact that since it's an rpg you won't be one-shotting enemies faces until you get a decent weapon worthy of such prowess, whereas say, Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon was just about true to life in terms of how the fire fights went. I like to think that The Division tells the story of what would happen if Sam Fisher failed one of his missions.

Anyway, on to the game. The Division is a machine in terms of mechanics. For the sort of game this is I hadn't expected quite as robust an RPG system as I got, which is awesome. The RPG elements of this game makes Fallout 4 look like Halo, seriously. There are abilities, there are talents and there are perks, seperate tiers and trees. And numbers everywhere! So keep that in mind, this is an RPG as much as it is a shooter. Which makes me very happy personally. As far as how it looks, well, it looks beautiful to be honest. The graphics and detail are nothing short of crispy. The matchmaking is easy to learn and work with and the game doesn't usually force you to be on a team in order to beat a mission either. I've been going solo-stealth for the most part with a silenced sniper rifle and a silenced AK and if you play smart(useful player tip, you can move from cover to cover in the same way you do in Gears of War, do that and you'll be doing yourself a big favor, don't expose yourself unnecessarily).

From a technical standpoint I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the overall lack of bugs, glitches and crashes I've experienced on day one of a game like this. It crashed once but when I started the game back up, expecting to have lost my mission progress, to my surprise the game picked up RIGHT where I was when it crashed, no farm no howl, all's well that ends well. I haven't done anything in the dark zone yet and I didn't get the beta so I can't comment on that but suffice it to say that if you've generally been a fan of the Tom Clancy video games, be it Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon or Splinter Cell, if you liked Mass Effect and wished to God they hadn't screwed up Alpha Protocol like they did then you're surely gonna like The Division.

I'm officially addicted personally, and to kill that honestly senseless question, no, The Division hasn't killed Destiny any more than Destiny killed Borderlands, I'll still be playing Destiny(and Borderlands) too, totally different games, both awesome. Worth my sixty bucks(and I'm on disability so I don't get a lot of money, so that's sayin something), worth saving the money to buy it asap(like I said, I'd been waiting for this), it was worth buying it on day one to me. I'm happy and I think you will be too. They earned the 9 I gave it. New York needs shaving, get at it!

The skill tree is deep and offers the typical healer, DPS, and tank abilities. However, they are interchangeable. A mid level character can be as maxed out as possible in all 3 categories and switch between them at will. It works well

My opinion of The Division is nothing short of "Bravo!". This review is heavily biased to how many awesome notes the game gets, but I do have a few gripes that'll be posted at the bottom. There's four sections: Graphics, Gameplay, Story, PVP. Enjoy!

GRAPHICS are great (go youtube/twitch for your viewing pleasure). The environment is desolate, but not hopeless nor empty - plenty of birds, rats, dogs and bystanders running amok to add to the immersion factor.

The summon map is nice, but it's like any other map that you'd have to unfold and read, which takes you out of immersion. Other HUD accessories are nice to have, but turning it all of is a great way to admire the scenery (or go hardcore RPing) . Seriously, is the Xbox one, the great game engine/console hardware present you with a wonderfully rendered crisis situation that's nice to look at.

GAMEPLAY is a complex issue, but sufficed to say it's well-balanced. Game/reality expectations are met with respect to weapon-handling and character movement - I never feel like the models to slow or unrealistically fast. The game's tempo for combat is very well-paced, it's hectic but not frenetic (IE: not like COD PVP); so, tactical choices of falling back and pushing forward become veritable choices of fate. The control scheme is simplified (IE: A is for cover + double tapping makes you roll; while B moves you vertically when interacting with objects), but the main staples (IE: LT=aim, RT=shoot) are present.

AI tactics/difficulty are a big issue for some, but really it's pretty exemplary; should be a standard for all enemy AI. They respond differently according to whatever faction they're with - looters and hoodlums are brash or cowardly versus ex-military that are more tactical and will continue to drive you back (depending on their number or your own sit-rep).

The problem people have with the AI simmers down to assessing mission difficulty, which lies with the player and not the game itself - I'll save you the trouble: Each mission becomes progressively harder - IE: a level 5 regular mission is cheesecake compared to level 8 regular mission so maybe DON'T dial the difficulty up. Levels do have a great effect with respect to damage mitigation and damage bonus so a level 15 NPC will wipe the floor with you if you're below level 13. Also, enemies get armour bonuses on higher difficulties so that'll be an added challenge as well.

The STORY is compelling enough to convince you to invest your time and efforts into this virtual crisis. Characters are well-acted and voiced, while audio is pleasing (IE: rats skitter, dogs bark, people cry and bicker, winds howl and bullets whizz, whine and go bang). Albeit, the story arc is wide open so you could technically advance past a plot point without even knowing - reviewing ECHOs, evidence and other recordings will help you understand WTF actually happened. Seriously, after the title screen, you make your character, do a few side missions and then BOOM... welcome to hell.

PVP. In this game, it is like a Heavyweight championship bout. Two teams meet and one team goes home crying. PVP takes place in the darkzone, which is a lawless, contaminated urban jungle, filled with alleyways, subway tunnels, scaffolding and tons of varying sized automobiles.

Albeit, the Darkzone (DZ) is only "lawless", meaning that anything goes - depends on the people you meet in the DZ (IE: neutrals or rogues). By far, your biggest problem would be the other Division Agents (DA); however, the NPC's are armoured and difficult too so keep your guard up.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You can change DZ's by exiting to the "vanilla" city and then re-entering the Darkzone through an entry point or checkpoint; thereby ridding you of pesky trolls...temporarily.

Did you notice how I classified the other DA's? That's because you shouldn't trust ANYONE in the DZ (only your friends or trusted gaming buddies). Neutrals are exactly as named, but Rogues are rough customers - basically land Pirates that'll rob, pillage and plunder others for loot, infamy (DZ Rank - obtained by killing anything in the DZ) and money (same principle as DZ Rank).

Sufficed to say, traversing the Darkzone with friends is highly advised - lone wolfs are the first to be targeted. As for actual PVP fighting - it's very enjoyable. Lag has not been a big issue and PVP combat is smooth; it promotes squad based combat so you'll get more out of this with friends or squadmates.

    GRIPES/Complaints/Problems

    - Some weapons have delay (IE: shotguns) when readying (swapping to said weapon) and when aiming down the sight.

    - Loot in randomized so you may have to wait a bit to find the weapon you want - armour isn't an issue as you can re-roll stats. Take comfort though, this isn't as bad as the RGN in Destiny.

    - Most objects are non-movable/indestructible. I was stuck between a desk and two office chairs. Another time, a chest-high u-shaped hill of garbage trapped me while i was chased by rogues

As you uncover more of the story you start fighting against tougher enemies and the objectives start to change a bit. It still suffers from the majority of the missions being similar but I will say the game is a lot of fun once you've settled in.

Story as you expect from Tom Clancy games is pretty good. The shooting controls feel just fine for a 3rd person shooter, with the option of going 1st person using scopes. You can mod weapons, collect gear, change your appearance and build up your skills.

Matchmaking makes the game a lot of fun, and I recommend putting it on harder difficulty settings cause it's too easy on normal. The map isn't too big but it's big enough. But you should know this is the very definition of a cover shooter. You even have abilities that let you create cover. Taking a lot of hits will kill you very fast, but if you use cover and use your abilities optimally you won't encounter too much difficulty.

All in all it's a fun game to play with some friends... but I would recommend maybe waiting for it to go on sale or wait till they add more content. It isn't breaking new ground but it's not completely unoriginal. It's good, not great but good.

Ubisoft's reputation for repetition will only get worse thanks to this game. It sucks cause their games are visually impressive and they're well designed too. I just wish they would put a little more creativity into the objectives.

The missions are interesting, different, and the best part is playing them in hard mode, in COOP. Playing with friends is an awesome experience, funny and interesting. The special armor and weapons mods are too few and far and the ability to make items feels underdeveloped and of little to no value. That leaves the Dark Zone, which started out great. But, after I reached DZ rank 30 the entire area started to feel redundant. In fact, the entire game started to feel like I was just doing the same thing over and over again, boring. I would've made Madison square garden a specialty area in the dark zone where 4 on 4 team death matches can take place. There still lots of potential, it just feels underdeveloped unfinished to me. Let me start out saying this game had such potential on so many levels. I really wish this game could have delivered all it promised, but as it is becoming an industry standard, it fails to provide its audiences with the basics of what was promised.

This game looks really good and runs well on the console with few exceptions. There are some times in heavy combat, both DZ and Single player, that I noticed some lag spikes or frame drops. While mostly a non issue in the heat of combat it can be annoying.

Sound and ambient effects are outstanding, this game really does feel alive. Although I did have to wonder why there are so many dogs free in the city. Seriously I don't think there are even that many dogs in that city. People hiding on second floor windows shouting at you as you pass was a really nice touch but I wish you could shoot them sometimes. That lack of ability to interact with civilians does take away from the open world concept. You can go rogue in the DZ but not in your single player game? Seriously, how misleading is this concept.

Updates, updates, updates.... With each new update comes more bugs, glitches and issues and now we have Destiny in NYC. Seriously has anyone noticed this? There are so many videos on how to glitch and how to get your weapons up to "X" amount of DPS and so on and so forth. You might as well go play a moba because everyone is running the same things or grinding forever to get there and then BAM update gotta start over for the next set of gear. With the introduction of incursions into the game, the entire balance and lack of willingness on the great UBISOFT to fix the glitches and Microsoft for not going after "glitchers" for affecting a multiplayer game is sad.

Overall the single player is okay repetitive and short lived, not a lot of content though there is a lot of city. Missions are rinse and repeat. *cough* *cough* Destiny all over again *cough* *cough*. With the delays this game suffered it should have been more well rounded and less bugged out than it is after the update for incursions. This is a grand gesture by companies like UBISOFT that they no longer care for the concerns of the consumer but for the bottom line of their profit margins.

The larger question that remains is how long are companies going to get away with putting out half finished content and not policing their games to assure that it delivers the desired product. The same could be said for Microsoft but as it runs on UBISOFT servers I don't feel that this is Microsoft's issue. Glitching is tantamount to cheating if it affects any multiplayer environment and The Division is a sad reminder that companies no longer care about players playing their games and enjoying their product but instead they are focused on sales.

This means the game lacks the reality-based feel of past Clancy titles . Or at least when it comes to the gameplay. The actual premise is somewhat believable; Manhattan becomes the "hot zone" of an outbreak due to a deadly virus spread through dollar bills. As the game begins, the player steps into the shoes of a nameless U.S. government agent who is called to duty. Their goal is to re-establish the operations of the Division, while combating criminals and investigating the nature of the attack. The game's bleak post-apocalyptic setting recalls "The Last of Us", but dramatic storytelling and characterization takes back seat to the action.

Ultimately, this is an open-world shooter that plays a lot like "Destiny" and "Borderlands". There are RPG elements such as loot, crafting, customizable stats and "bullet sponge" enemies. The story-based missions and the city itself are divided into various difficulty levels. And just like in any RPG, you must earn experience points (XP) to level up in order to progress. As you complete missions and optional objectives, you'll gain new abilities and weapons which you can eventually customize. This being a Clancy video game, there are plenty of cool futuristic gadgets you can use. Mini-turrets, blast shields and mine launchers can be obtained with currency you earn as you rank up. But the core gameplay is similar to "Gears of War" in that you can easily slide into cover and blindfire at enemies. It's fun, especially when you play cooperatively with three other players, but the side-missions definitely lack variety.

"The Division" also includes a PVP mode entitled "The Dark Zone" which can be difficult if you're not playing with a group of friends. It's a blocked off area of the city where you can extract rare weapons and items, but you must be prepared to battle tough enemy A.I. and other players for them. It can be a serious challenge; an intense case of risk versus reward, especially since players can turn on you at anytime. Since launch, Ubi Soft has updated “The Division” several times. Additional weapons, challenges and side-missions have been added and the Dark Zone's rules have been slightly modified. Ultimately though, "The Division" is a solid, entertaining action game. It’s not as good as “Destiny” and is more "Call of Duty" than "Splinter Cell", but fans of the Clancy brand should enjoy it. I'd rank it with an 8 out of 10.

RPG elements are a welcome change to the 3rd person genre and ease of swapping skills, talents, and gear makes the role you play flexible. My only two gripes with the game is that you can't move through characters so some people are blocking doorways to parts of the game to grief players and the second issue is that I was expecting more in terms of variety when you create your character. Once you create your character though you have a lot of options to change how you look with your gear and weapons. I would recommend you take your time going through the game and enjoy all the aspects this game has to offer, if you rush through it to max level you will not fully enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. I played with 2 friends in the beta weekends and we had a blast going through the missions on hard mode and we learned quickly who should do what, instead of going all in full throttle. We each chose a role we enjoyed and it worked out for us. This is a MMO style game, so make sure you have people to enjoy it with to help make the game more enjoyable. You can solo the game, but doing things like Hard Mode and the Dark Zone might be hard if you go at it alone. If you have doubts watch some streams to get a feel for the gameplay or rent it to give it a try, don't listen to the 12 year old trolls on here giving bad reviews because the "server" was down for 5 minutes or that it's not "Destiny" or "Call of Duty". Apparently there's a crafting option in the game, but I have no idea how to use it (or where it is in the menu). I guess the game expects me to just aimlessly figure it out, which would be fine if I were a 19 year old kid with no job, but I have a life and I don't have time to aimlessly search around for it. Ubisoft desperately needed to add a lengthy "hot to play" tutorial, because I feel lost quite a bit in the game. For example, when you first arrive in Manhattan, the gun salesman is out in the open and easy to find, but for the life of me, I can't find the salesman for the other stuff. I seached the safe area for over 30 minutes, and I still couldn't find him (or her). Also, I find the matchmaking strange and unbalanced. In Destiny the game just automatically does the matchmaking for you, but in the Division, I find that I have to almost play a mini-game in order to get my team put together. I still don't fully understand how the matchmaking works. I'm supposed to be paired with four players, but I only ever seem to get paired with one other guy. Playing the Division with only one person on your team is insanely hard too, good luck getting anything accomplished with only a two man fireteam. All in all, the Division could be a great game, but it's a little too confusing for those of us who don't have 50+ hours to play/learn it. I found Destiny to be very easy to learn and master, whereas the Division is not user friendly in the least. Expand

If you like destiny and are looking for something else to get your attention while destiny gets their next DLC in line, this is it. Pros and cons. Matchmaking is easy, graphics and scenery around New York is great, loot system is addictive and somewhat fair, RPG elements are also great, lots of customization when it comes to game play and style. Cons: At the moment, not much to do in the end game when you reach level 30. You can do the dark zone and get better gear and loot by playing daily missions 3x per day at harder levels. You have main story missions which are the equivalent of "strikes" in destiny. You can match-make up to a group of four. You also have a lot of side missions which all help level up your main base which in turn helps you level up and unlock bigger and better upgrades whether its defensive, health and recovery healer type or offensive gun turrets, remote bombs and little round bombs that follow the enemy. Then there is the dark zone. This games PVP area. Here you encounter a lot of tough enemies and other random agents. You basically have three options. Go in alone and wish for the best as you try to extract all your loot you have collected, go rogue, shoot and kill other agents, take their stuff and try to extract and leave the DZ (or survive the timer set on you until it runs out) or go in with a group and go after other rogues. There is some freedom here as there is a social experiment and see how gamers handle the dark zone. Overall I would give this title a 7or 8 out of /10 but I gave it a 7. While its not perfect, it is however a FUN game which in the end, isn't that all that matters? Second the bad: The controls for the most part are good however the grenade controls are confusing making it very difficult to use them. The missions could use many more checkpoints because a few times I have died at the end of a level only to have to repeat the entire level. This leads to another problem, once you start a mission, if you don't complete it you will have to start from the beginning regardless of the checkpoints next time you log in to the game. This means you would be foolish to play this game unless you can set a couple hours aside. The multiplayer has yet to work for me but for the most part the game is fine played single-player.

There is so much potential with this game and franchise and with a couple fixes this could be a game of the year contender.

The only time I have fun playing this game is when I'm playing with other people, and even that isn't wonderfully fun like some other games I've played. Don't play it alone, you'll be bored.

The Bullet Sponge is freaking real in this game, hardcore. It's terrible and I would have hoped we'd be beyond this by 2016.

At the end of the day, maybe this MMORPG thing just isn't for me. If you liked Destiny, you'll probably like this, if you hated Destiny, don't waste your money.

If you want variety - get a compendium - this is a shooter, and therefore there's shooting.

If you like 'shooters' this is one of the best IMO and many of the criticisms leveled here apply to the 'best' - repetitive enemies (Halo, GoW?), bullet sponges (Borderlands, Bioshock) etc etc.

The game play is slick, the shooting feels good, the guns varied, and the upgrades/mods add depth.

I've read it's confusing - yes there's a lot going on, but the game tells you what you need to know when you need it. There is plenty of depth, but I never felt there was too much to take on.

I frequently read 'bullet sponge' - basically, as a RPG, if there were one shot kills from the start, where would the game go? Back in the lower levels whilst I'm a Lvl 11, there's plenty of quick kills - one shot head shot kills - but when in Lv 11+ missions, yes enemies take a lot to kill, but that's the point!

If you like Borderlands style of RPG/shooting then this is similar. I loved Borderlands and therefore I'm really enjoying this.

I'm having a blast, the game feels like it has much more to give, you can play solo or in fire teams (giving variety) and for the completists, there's going to be so much to do. Main missions, side missions, finding various other items, random actions, etc etc.

I'm not one for DLC anymore (I feel it's a corporate way to charge £80 for a game) but at the moment I feel Division DLC would be hard to ignore.

So all in all, I've been playing games for 20+ years and recently I've lost much of the enjoyment and since GTA5 this is he first game I've genuinely become immersed into.

Nothing that would be considered game stopping except I have been trapped twice now requiring a quit but enough that it interferes with the immersion of one into the game.
Second, the game is clearly confusing. If you download this game you will soon find yourself scouring the internet for information on how/why things work; the tutorial is atrocious.
Third, the menu system is a disaster as well as the combat menu system (grenades...enough said).
Fourth, it is a pure looting game yet the loot is so uninspiring you will literally end up purchasing your equipment instead of hunt for it and is again, another indicator this game was rushed. You can see they aimed high on many other aspects but the one's that are the foundation of the game, the basis and mechanics of a 3PS are all show little to no love whatsoever.
Finally, the most unforgivable atrocity that, to me, killed off the above average enjoyment of this game. They literally Donkey Kong'ed the game with individual bosses! At the end of missions, they ALL look the same. If it's a sniper, they all look the same. If he's one of the garbage guys, yep same size, same outfit, etc. All that's different is the name...and that is just so said. A complete amateur move from a supposed professional gaming company. Really a let down.
All said and done, it's barely worth the price, barely ($10 lower it really should be) and it is enjoyable but be forewarned...you will need lots of time to not only advance but to understand the game in it's entirety.

I've been a Tom Clancy fan since Rainbow Six on N64. Played them all up until GRAW2. GRAW 2 was too futuristic to me and too much of a change from the Tom Clancy roots.

When I heard about The Division, I was excited like most other TC fans. I didn't believe for a second they would deliver a product as close as to what they teased when they first announced it.

Fast forward three years later, I'm a part time gamer now (I was hardcore full time gamer), engaged, and begun my career.

I kept my preorder for this game over the year or so, and I was so happy that I did. This game DELIVERS. I have literally found myself saying this is the TC game that has saved the franchise for me. And Ubisoft for that matter.

This game delivers on graphics, story, and gameplay.

The graphics are stunning. Truly stunning. The mix of damn near photo realistic lower Manhattan, the ingenius in-game map and Echo items. Wow. I play this on Xbox One, and I get crap from my PC master race friends, but I have something they don’t have. A 60 inch plasma and surround sound and a couch. This game can literally not get any more stunning graphically, even on Xbox One. The attention to detail on a scale like this game has done is incredible for example: SNOW will accumulate on the upper, upward facing gear (top of head, backpack, and shoulders). So for graphics, this is an A+, 10/10.

The story is unique, frightening realistic, creative and FUN. This is everything that I miss in the Tom Clancy series of games and this one is truly realistic and potentially real. Something like this can happen in reality. I’m not finished with the storyline yet, but as of now, this is a very interesting, creative story and is told in an amazing way. All the little intel pickups and Echo locations weave a great story, and in amongst themselves are amazing methods of telling a story. Very impressive. 10/10.

Gameplay – this is where all the internet powergrinders and hard core gamers are dinging this game. The gameplay is amazing! It’s an amazing blend of MMORPG, RPG, and Shooter. I love the fact that I can walk into the social hubs and zones from offline areas so amazingly seamlessly. It really gives a feeling of community, but also loneliness when you’re out in the field. The combat is standard MMO style, mixed with FPS elements like hitboxes and a cover system – this is a very interesting mix that I’ve never played before and I very much am enjoying. I preferably would like to have it more Ghost Reconish where 1-3 bullets and a guy is down, but I understand the need to make the DPS/MMO style damage. I get it. I understand it. I agree with it. I still love it. Let me put in a disclaimer here that I have not made it into the Dark Zone yet and I’m currently level 16.

I love this game. It saved the franchise for me. And it was E.X.A.C.T.L.Y. what I was expecting from this game even after hearing the BS from my PC friends during the Beta (of which I never played). This is a work of art, and I hope Ubi supports the game on it’s current path and not deviate from it. This will make a new genre.

    10/10.

I have been waiting for this game for a very long time now, and it's finally here and I really enjoy it. It's not a great game, but it's so damn close to being one.

Lets start with the pros. The graphics in the game are stunning, they really captured the essence of New York and they really did a great job of recreating it. The level design is also fantastic, the cover mechanic in the game works very well, it's smooth and changing cover is very easy and it doesn't knock you out of cover a lot.

The gameplay is incredibly addicting. Each weapon handles differently and that really adds a sense of variety to the game, playing with friends is very fun and probably the best way to play the game. You can get into very tense situations in the game and playing with friends makes those situations both easier and more enjoyable. The loot drops are fair and frequent.

Each mission you feel as you have accomplished something after completing. The game has a fantastic soundtrack that really helps to create a very tense atmosphere and this really works well in the Dark Zone.
The dark zone is incredibly tense and is a more challenging environment to go into after you get bored of the main missions or if you have finished the game entirely.

The customization is very vast. You can get so much weaponry, gear mods, armour and clothes to customize your character with, and it's great!

    Now the cons.
The game is very tedious. The mission structure is the same for every mission and it does get rather repetitive. The story isn't particularly intriguing either, and playing on your own might get really frustrating and rather boring quite quickly. The side missions are also rather dull and are only there for filler and to get you more XP.

I wish there were more buildings you could go into, you have the almost the whole of New York to play in, but there isn't much there to explore. The character customization at the beginning of the game was incredibly limited and the crafting system isn't that great either. And there isn't much to do in the endgame.

    Conclusion:
Overall The Division is a very immersive tactical shooter that is so close to greatness it's rather annoying that it isn't. Exploring New York is great and customizing your character and your Home Base is fun and the game is quite rewarding, it just needed to have a more engaging story and it needed to have better mission structure.

I shouldn't have to make any decisions or press any buttons when it's ready for me to be paired up with people, it should be automatic like in Destiny. I'm also noticing that the game takes WAY too long to load between missions/cutscenes. Very early in the game it took a full 15 minutes for the game to load between Brooklyn and Manhattan. I want to like Division, but so far the game is too confusing for its own good. The sad thing is, The Division is a shooter, so it should be a cinch to learn, yet I find it very confusing. For examply, has anyone figured out the crafting system yet, because I sure as hell haven't. I'm 6 hours into the game, and I still don't know how to craft items. It's not overly complicated, and there's no steep learning curve as in some similar games. The gunplay is fairly entertaining, and the powers are fun to use.

Unfortunately, this is an Ubisoft game, which means that there are bugs running rampant because of poor testing models. And, as usual for Ubisoft games, they're not fixing them (remember Unity, kids?). Very few updates have come out in the near-month that this game has been out, leaving a horrific crash bug, FPS drops in areas, and items that cannot be redeemed. The Ubisoft help queue is ridiculous right now, and hardly give what could be called customer service at all to fix their broken game. Some of the glitches are indeed game-breaking and need to be fixed.

Overall, by the time you near level 30, you're just running side missions and getting bored out of your mind. They had stated officially that the Dark Zone in-game was not endgame. That was a lie. If you do not have DLC, then the only things to do at level 30 are Dark Zone and daily missions (Hmm, sounds familiar). Unfortunately, the things this game does to make itself unique do get boring after a while. Loot is hardly good and usually ends up deconstructed for parts or sold (though starting currency has no value in the endgame, where DZ credits are needed for all high-level items).

I'm not going to hide it.. I got to level 30 in a couple weeks of playing maybe an hour or two a night after work with friends. Now that I'm level 30, I have no interest in the game. It's just running the same things on hard mode, or the like. This game feels extremely rushed (despite that massive delay). I don't understand how Ubisoft could have messed this one up, I really don't.

Do I like the Division? Yes. Hell yes, even. However, it is incomplete and buggy in its current state. As such, I cannot recommend it. If you absolutely must play it, wait for the price to drop into the $40 range and let the bugs be ironed out. I anticipate that taking months with Ubisoft where its at now. Trust me, you're only missing frustration and boredom in the endgame.

As I have been focused on leveling up my agent, I have yet to venture into the Dark Zone, The Division's allegedly wonderful PvP environment, so no comments on that from me at this time.

The PvE environment is extremely solid and varied. Each neighborhood has its own feel, but at the same time always feels connected to NYC. The missions are varied, though grinding through mission after mission (or side mission or encounter) and not taking the time to explore for yourself and become part of the world can grind on a bit.

Others seem to want to compare this to Destiny (and I have even seen some COD comparisons, as off-base as those are!), but The Division is its own animal. It is truly an RPG when you get down to it. It reminds me very much of a more open Mass Effect, albeit with an entirely different setting and backstory, with more refined shooting and cover mechanics. The (mostly) seamless open world environment really makes grinding for loot much more thrilling than I ever found it to be in Destiny.

The cons: There is not much keeping me from giving this a 10. I have a problem with the damage resistance of AI enemies. I know this is an RPG so it can't have the realism of say a RS Siege, where a headshot puts one down for good, but the amount of damage some unarmored thugs in hoodies and jeans can take is a little ridiculous, even with solid weapons and buffs.

Additionally, the enemy variety is lacking. Rioters, Cleaners and RIkers with the same three main classes within each is all you get, with the occasional super-armored/armed mini-boss/boss thrown into the mix.

Other than those two items, I'm hooked and in for the long haul. Great job Ubisoft/Massive!

The game starts in Brooklyn but opens up when you enter Manhattan…
This game is online only and is absolutely brutal…
Probably one of the hardest if not hardest third person shooter I’ve ever played…
If you’re playing by yourself… you’re not making it to the end unless you’re a 360 no scope mlg pro..
I am not... so I teamed up with a squad the entire way….
But this isn’t your typical 3rd person shooter…
    There are no head shots...
Enemies have hp rather than just being vulnerable humans... they’re armored up and bullet spongy…
I didn’t realize the type of game this was at first so I felt frustrated, only to remind myself borderlands is the same way…
So this is more or less a 3rd person borderlands with none of the color or humor…
My Love for the Division slowly grew on me… and I did eventually fall in love…
But halfway through the game, my love evaporated.
In the division you can explore the city of Manhattan either alone or with a crew of up to 4 players, there are 19 main story missions in this game that increasingly have a higher level requirement…
Each mission will give you roughly 1 level.. And you also gain xp from killing enemies, doing side missions, discovering new locations and finding collectibles…
And at first this feels great...
You’ll run down the street and run into an encounter and help whoever out and move on to the mission you were heading too…
You gain your first 5 levels without even trying…
Then you’re doing mission after mission... killing these insanely tough enemies… picking up their dropped weapons, finding loot and armor..
Getting supplies to work on the different wings of your base to unlock new skills and abilities...
Assigning these abilities to your 2 and eventually 3 ability slots…
It’s so frustrating and so addictive at the same time…
Coming up with strategies with your teams mates during tough sections..
    Providing health, cover, and distraction…
This is why it’s important to play with others…
On your own you can’t be revived… enemies do take less damage... but it isn’t worth being sent back to a checkpoint each time you die to an area of respawned enemies…
You’re heading into the dark zone to look for contaminated but more powerful loot, killing other players to increase your dark zone level to leave with better gear
And you’re halfway through the game..
You’re level 13... The next missions enemies are level 16 no big deal…
You’ve got your awesome crew... you can handle anything.
    Nope.
You can’t play missions more than 2 levels ahead of you… and by the way... from the halfway point forward... every single mission is going to be 3 levels ahead of you
No big deal, levels have been handing out levels…
Surely side missions and encounters and collectibles will do the same.
    They don’t.
XP is so insanely slow in this game and I’m convinced there’s only a leveling system here to slow the player down... to make them do the boring side stuff instead of shoot their way through these hour long main missions….
There’s really nothing else to explain it…
It isn’t to make you more powerful in battle…
Fights are just as hard from the start as they are at the end... Enemies level with you…. And most of the time unless you grind with the boring stuff are even 2 plus levels ahead
And it isn’t to unlock perks or new weapons... because you get all of this from enemies and completing main stories…
You can replay mast missions on hard mode for better loot.. but it rewards to xp at the end which is complete nonsense…
Level requirements for main missions kill pacing…
and the laughably small amount of xp you get for killing enemies which by the way is the exact same you get for killing a boss is even more of a joke.
There’s not a chance you’ll level up mid story mission…
It’s not happening you’re gonna be just as weak in the final boss battle as you were going in…
The combat here is extremely fun though and offers a great deal of variety in its perks, weapons, and mods to make your character feel like yours…
I’m not sure why they smack you with a wall halfway through and force you to do the fetch quest nonsense around Manhattan
The division takes some time to grow on you.. And once it finally does it turns into an unfun forced grind. I Give the Division an 8.0/10

I'm a rank 400 GTA 5 player. The Division filled a need for me which GTA 5 couldnt, a seamless good time with friends. With Rockstar, I could spend upwards to half an hour getting friends into same lobby or mission only to be kicked out two minutes later. With The Division, I'm loaded up with friends within seconds. Theres also great incentive for ranking up and earning weapons unlike GTAI'm a rank 400 GTA 5 player. The Division filled a need for me which GTA 5 couldnt, a seamless good time with friends. Theres also great incentive for ranking up and earning weapons unlike GTA 5 which only requires Mommy to buy a sharkcard. Yes The Division might have a ending and finale which makes me sad but it was the best 60 dollar experience Ive ever had in my whole life and I do intend to replay the missions Expand

Ubisoft hasn't built a title like this before, and the inexperience clearly shows – The Division seems to be a victim of its ambitions. The good news is that now, games can be updated, and the flaws in the system aren't so thick that they're beyond repair. With proper attention, Ubisoft could easily pivot the game towards the vision it represents. We can only hope that The Division's long-term story is just beginning.

A generous, rewarding shooter with some of the best multiplayer gunplay on Xbox. [May 2016, p.80]

We have a huge city at our disposal, many hours of fun and possibilities of replaying the game either alone or with friends. The Division has become the best-selling Ubisoft IP in the first 24 hours and we are not surprised, it gives freedom to the players and offers them the opportunity to explore this post-apocaliptic world.
