    Hilarious to see a bunch of people who are just puking up the same old tired arguments for this game. Anyone who has played this knows how fast paced and FUN this game is. Forget the fact there's no single player campaign, forget the fact that it's an XBOX/PC exclusive, forget the fact that it's at 792p. The game is FUN and looks amazing. The potential for Respawn to expand the storylineHilarious to see a bunch of people who are just puking up the same old tired arguments for this game.     The thrill of moving arround at such high speeds brings back very fond memories of Quake and URT, its fast and frantic transitioning from mech to pilot is a sinch, and very enjoyable you can mix it up once you get the hang of jumping from wall to zipline to titan to roof. there is a lot of fun to be had and its very difficult to put down. however you will need to take breaks from this every so often. partly because of fatigue and partly because of sensory overload. 15 maps comes with the game and 3 packs planned for the future. this game deserves to be recognized about how good it play. graphicly if you have a capable pc, you can flip all your sentting onto max and it is beautiful, interestingly the game is runing on a heavily modified source engine. and you can feel the years of excellent gameplay heritage within the game.

    Fast paced action on a whole new level. Can't wait to see where future installments take us. Haven't used all the weapons yet but looking forward to play with them. This game will definitly hold me over till Destiny and Halo 5 drop.

    I fully enjoy this game and I don't understand people's need to justify their choice in consoles. I have an Xbox 1, PS4, and a high end gaming pc and I enjoy all of them. I would like to believe people are more mature than this. I guess I just don't get all this my system is better than yours and I grew up in the early years of gaming. In my 30's and gaming used to bring people togetherI fully enjoy this game and I don't understand people's need to justify their choice in consoles.     Amazing game. Definitely is an evolution of everything that was great about COD and adds in some sweet Sci-Fi aspects. The mech (Titan) combat is pretty hectic (in a good way), and you'll be running on excitement when inside one. The downside is that that part of the game doesn't last long because there are many other titans around you looking to destroy you.

It just shows how many fanboys of PS4 that can't play this game are dropping by just to mark it "0" because they hate that it is a Microsoft exclusive. Just because you hate Microsoft, you skew theWow. Just because you hate Microsoft, you skew the review for people that come for an honest opinion by people that have tried it. Gaming fanboys are tough to tolerate, but Sony one's consistently seem to be the worst. I am going to give it an honest score of an 8 because I won't resort to the same pitiful point fixing just to try and correct it. It is fun and a great multiplayer experience with plenty of new ideas on the genre to kick off the next generation. However, if you have never liked competitive multiplayer shooters, in all likelyhood you will want to give it a pass. EA has now announced plans for what appears to be a truly staggering amount of DLC, which will roll out over many months or years...including the dreaded "map packs" that plague other online shooters.     This being the best multiplayer shooter I have came across in years. Bringing me back to the days of Halo 2 and 3 online. I rate this game for what it has not what is not offered. I can only hope the future of this IP will bring some in depth story telling for years to come.

    The multiplayer is good, but certainly not groundbreaking. The matchmaking is just awful, many times so unbalanced that it makes competition unrealistic. The Titans are much like having a tank in Battlefield, nothing new. The only real new feature is the AI controlled players, which is neat but makes it very hard to tell what are bots and what are enemy players.

    The real breaking point of the game for me was the storyline (or lack of one). Having no single player campaign is bad enough, but the multiplayer campaign is almost insulting. Nothing more than the normal multiplayer with a few seconds of video and narrative thrown in. It is the worst attempt at a campaign I have seen in any game, big budget or otherwise.

    Overall the game is fun for a few hours, but gets repetitive quicker than other FPS and without a true campaign or single player Titanfall is half the game of COD or Battlefield. It is at best an average game. The ratings and hype given to this game have me and those I play with puzzled. After playing this game for about 12 hours total, I have lost interest and am moving on...maybe back to COD. To bad, I was really looking forward to it thanks to the hype...    … Expand

    This game features great innovations without forgetting the great "fan service" for all fans of "Mechas".

    The "gameplay" is certainly what most stands out, really making you feel like a giant robot would handle. No need of an incoherent story and just the great online multiplayer.

    In the graphics looks great although not totally in HD and the sound envelop you with their details everywhere.

    Gameplay wise, it's a big let down after all the talk from game journos (promoters). It's an ok'ish shooter.
    low frames per sec, very low at times, it does not feel "next-gen" at all, graphics are nothing to brag about also. After about 12hrs play, I'm done. There are better shooters to play.

    There is nothing compared to the feeling of the parkour system in Titanfall... It's awesome, and I have no idea why this wasn't thought of earlier. To me, parkour makes this game; it is what makes it fun to me.. and it almost fully makes me forget any flaws, at least while I'm playing. The addition of mechs also just adds that complete change in dynamic, it brings chaos (a good chaos).

    Titanfall is definitely a unique FPS, and doesn't feel anything like any game before it. However, there are some underlining flaws (it's not a perfect 10). I agree with the dismissal of the campaign; FPS have a bad history of throwing on clunky/unimaginative story modes, which only take away from the multiplayer development. However, if you're going to take away the campaign, you need to apply that extra energy/development towards the multiplayer experience. There should be a massive amount of game modes, and complete customization of everything. This is the only area Titanfall lacks.. there's very little customization of characters/titans (other than load out), not a massive selection of weapons either (adequate, but not plentiful). With a multiplayer mode only, I expect an onslaught of weapons, maps, and customization. I'd say Titanfall is 80% there on the map count, 50% on the weapons, and 50% on the customization. There's also little things in game play I would have liked to have seen (tagging enemies and spawning on team members). More so, I would have liked to have seen 8 vs 8. The maps are big; big enough to accommodate 8 vs 8. However, with all that said, you rarely notice during game play (it's really a ton of fun). I think you notice that stuff after a few hours of consecutive game play; wanting to switch it up thereafter. We know more modes are coming, and likely more weapons and maps in DLC as well. So a lot will be covered in the long run.    … Expand

The parkour and wall hang ability along with the jet pack make for so many more gameplay options not to mention the gameplay dynamics the mech adds. You cannot hide or camp in this game!     Whoa! Played the alpha and beta and got the full game today and I'm blown away. Fun, fresh and not the same old thing. Too bad so many Playstation players are rating it as zero because Respawn put a TON of work into this game and made a great one. This is truly a next gen blast of a game and well worth buying. Check it.

The game itself is good fun. When it Works. Unfortunately Respawn saw fit to implement a matchmaking "fix" in late March that creates lobbies based on skill level rather then connection strength. This means that for a huge portion of their customers (I'm guessing ones with good internet connections but not in geographically central locations) the game is basically unplayable. It worked perfectly pre-fix, but now: I can only access two of the game types. I wait for on average 3 - 5 minutes to find a game. Lag is constant and terrible. Lobbies are always mismatched. This has been happening for more than a month, and Respawn have barely acknowledged the problem, despite thousands of posts about it in their own forums. I urge you to visit the game's forums yourself before buying to read about what's been happening. In short: avoid this! If you bought a Playstation 4 instead of an Xbox One (unlike me) do not regret your decision in the least.… Expand

    This is the best online shooter. Best game of the generation so far. The graphics look very impressive, a beautiful job from the Respawn team! Must have for everyone.

    Game is a fun, blast to play. Fanboys will make people go and rate it 10 or 0 depending on who their corporate lover is. The game has such a great speed to it and balance as well. I personally am better at fighting titans as a runner then in my own Titan. And that's all good. Find what works for you and assist your team. It is a fun game to play.

    Amazing game. Maps are excellent with a wide variety of them (15 total). Lots of weapons, which all feel balanced and unique, Titans are awesome, gameplay is fast, skillfull and intense. The game is well balanced, one of the best MP games I've played in a long time. Go buy it

    I skipped Cod: Ghost and Battlefield 4 for this Game and I am very happy with my decision :D
    It is very impressive to see how Respawn balance so brillantly the gameplay between Soldiers and Titans.
    Playing this game is awesome, but its not Perfect.
    There are a few things that bothers me like graphics and bots ^^

    I will keep this short and sweet. Titanfall has excellent balance in weapons, pilot v. titan, and map design. The mobility of your pilot AND your titan make this game a masterpiece on its own. Combat hinges on mobility, and to see a modern shooter actually embrace this concept, then pull it off (unlike Brink) is    Score: 9.5 based on fun, mobility, balance, scope, but lack of modes.

    I will keep this short and sweet. Titanfall has excellent balance in weapons, pilot v. titan, and map design. The mobility of your pilot AND your titan make this game a masterpiece on its own. Combat hinges on mobility, and to see a modern shooter actually embrace this concept, then pull it off (unlike Brink) is awesome. Finally, the scope of the battles with the AI really make this seem like a war. I've had more fun with this that any FPS in a while.

    -AI grunts make this a war, not a skirmish between two elite forces; its a unique take

    The second I played on Titanfall with my trusty press pass for EGX13 I knew it was a winner. For 5yrs I said Call of Duty should have a modded edition and technically now it has. All those dodgy things you craved to do have seen fruition.

    No other alpha has made me jump up and hug a rep especially not with EA who for so long seem to have been transfixed on FIFA but it's over.    The second I played on Titanfall with my trusty press pass for EGX13 I knew it was a winner. For 5yrs I said Call of Duty should have a modded edition and technically now it has. All those dodgy things you craved to do have seen fruition.

    To be honest when you play as a pilot you feel like playing CoD and when you ride a Titan you feel like you are playing Halo. Is just a mix of everything good out there, if you like FPS you have to play TITANFALL.

    about the 792 well PS4 is doing a better job about that in every single game they have (1080p) but you soon forget about it because of the great game TITANFALL is.

    I have about 4 hours of play on Titanfall, so far and i'm really enjoying it. I don't understand why people are giving it such horrible reviews. If your thinking of purchasing this game ignore the negative reviews and buy it. This game is something fresh and new unlike most games out there.

    Great game. The quickness of the game play reminds me of Quake on the PC from years ago or even Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the original Xbox.

    The balance of power between the pilots and Mechs is perfect. It a great feeling to be able to jump on the back of an enemy Mech as a pilot and shoot bullets into his metal skull to kill it.     For someone that's been out of the shooter genre for years this game was an amazingly fresh, fun and addictive jump back in. Mech combat adds a ton of fun, as does the parkor and wall running. A few more game modes, customization and weapons and it'll be perfect.

Not surprising that the guys and gals who brought us Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would be able to work their magic again.

    One of the smoothest control schemes I've ever played with, making the wallrunning and aerial movement much more intuitive than I had expected. After a really terrible run of EA botching releases of highly-anticipated AAA titles, Titanfall dropped in with only minor hiccups, which is very impressive in this day and age.

    The Xbox Cloud shines on Titanfall, which the first FPS to take advantage of this back-end computing service. Rather than running the AI for NPCs and Auto Titans locally, the Xbox Cloud's Azure servers take the load off of the console's hardware and let the box in your home focus on your direct experience.

    Multiplayer campaign is a really interesting feature, since it makes the "story mode" one which you can "lose" rather than just have to try again. You get to play on both sides of the conflict and it introduces you to the "Classic" multiplayer gameplay better than most FPS' campaign modes. Skills are more directly translated between the two over-arching game types.

    Looking forward to the upcoming title update with some features that were not ready in time for the original launch, but overall, I think it'll be Titanfall versus Destiny for Game of the Year in 2014.

They did a fantastic job of balancing the game, making fantastic graphics (792p doesn't matter when the game still looks amazing), making it actually fun to play, and adding social integration.     Great game, Sony Pony's out in full force on this one I see. This game has a wider scope of game play than CoD. Try Capture the Flag with Titans, so much greatness that PS4 is still awaiting. People complain that it's "always" online and crap. The only time I don't have internet is when my power is out so nothing works anyway. Try Capture the Flag with Titans, so much greatness that PS4 is still awaiting. People complain that it's "always" online and crap. The only time I don't have internet is when my power is out so nothing works anyway. Both consoles have a lot of features that require internet access.     This game is great nice smooth GFX , fast game play, well balanced, I played this game for hours in a day I can't wait for them to add more to it. The multiplayer campaign is fun and tells a story of the times the game is set it.

    If i was to rate this game in the first 8 hours of gameplay id give it a 7 out of ten but after 14 hours im now so bored i cant even be bothered playing it.     Fantastic game. Go ahead and read the negative reviews. 99% of the people who wrote them haven't played the game. They're almost all PS4 fanboys or EA haters. This game is awesome. The AI makes the battlefield feel alive and the campaign is fun even when you lose because it's just a continuing story. Seriously awesome. Go play this game if you can.

    This game has no replay value. No true campaign with no back story followed by a bland multiplayer experience isn't very exciting. With little to no reason to be excited to log. The parkour style combat was a stolen idea from Brink (another disaster of a FPS).

    Overall the game is bland, lacking depth with no real reason for me to log in and play it daily. What a titanflop. Just shows me not to buy into the hype ever again.    … Expand

    This game is excellent and people are just spamming the 0 score to get it negative feedback. I personally thing this game is awesome, it feels smooth, looks great and is a ton of fun. These spammers are the problem with gaming now. Just a bunch of people who care about pixels not taking any time to see if anything is actually good.

    Having a blast with this game. If you like shooters, this is a breath of fresh air. Being able to run, jump, and wall run on anything whenever you please makes navigating the gorgeous maps easy. It's going to be hard to go back to other shooters.

    Best game I played this Gen so far. A must buy. Respawn have nailed the balance nothing feels overpowered or useless. Even without a campaign everything is triple AAA.

    Titanfall is the best first person shooter that I've played in a long, long time. I personally got sick of COD and Battlefied 4, so Titanfall was a new and awesome experience. There's tons of different stages, weapons, and accessories to choose from, but the game's claim to fame is the Titans. I love piloting Titans, that never gets old. Anyway, I can't recommend it this game enough.

The combat flexibility is amazing, and there could be enemies anywhere not just the static 20 places for snipers in BF. Players are also rewarded for moving around and having titans makes camping less common.… Expand

    Excellent game. Ignore the butt hurt fanboys and haters out there blindly rating this game low. This game does not deserve anything lower than an 8/10. It's not perfect, but it's great. Remember, all the people who are enjoying and loving the game are on their PC or Xbox One playing it, not sitting around and posting BS low-rated "reviews" on Metacritic.

    Ignore the people hating on this game because it was published by EA. I'm not a fan of EA's development practices either, but this game is developed by a separate studio which has made deep partnerships with other companies that have way more (and better) influence than EA's.

Despite all of that, and the fact some features will be patched in later, I haven't had this much fun in a FPS in a long long time.     Tried the game out it don't feel much different from COD you still have your campers and lag only way to get kills is from the Bots. I don't see why they would take out the offline demographic because if you have no internet or bad internet you can't play the game if you live somewhere with bad internet/no internet i would not suggest picking it up. The tutorial helps you out if you are new to FPS games, however if you have a FPS background, the tutorial will seem pointless to some. The Titan vs Pilot aspect would seem to be an issue many people would worry about. However, I can safely say for I have done this many times, there is no imbalance issues. A pilot can take out a Titan without to much of an issue, but it requires fast movements and stealth. Another issue people keep looking at is the "6v6 + AI" in the multiplayer. It's an understandable issue most people have, but it isn't that bad. Killing an AI "minion" is still satisfying, but nothing beats taking out a Pilot or a Pilot controlled Titan. Titanfall brings a big aspect to FPS games that has never made a solid movement. The use of the Free Running ability is vital to survive long periods of time during a match. However, you can't just rely on it as your only motion. Many will look to the skies for the Pilots, so sneak around with the AI players and throw the enemy off. Titanfall is a great game to kick off a new batch of games built for Next Gen. This may not seem like a true "Next Gen Game", but its carving a great path that many should follow.… Expand

    Very surprised! I did not think to buy the game before its released and finally gameplay to interest me and I'm falling in love! One finds his feelings nowhere in other games is indescribable, running on walls, jumping around, dodge bullets aboard the Titan. Simply enjoyable! Hate to see the future DLC

Yes, there's no single player, yes there are features missing, but from what I could tell, the developers at Respawn spent a large chunk of their time meticulously refining the core gameplay mechanics, ensuring weapons and abilities are balanced and not overly saturated (having 50+ weapons does not imply you're game is good), that parkour isn't just some jumping off walls mechanic that's haphazardly thrown in just for a cool effect, and the battles between titans and pilots can have the same outcome as a titan vs. titan battle, despite the odds in the David vs. Goliath type matchup. That in itself is what sold it to me and I am perfectly ok with a solid FPS game as opposed to areas that may be broken just to add that extra layer of fluff that everyone expects now that they have been used to CoD and BF, which is totally fine by the way, I don't blame anyone for feeling like the game feels "incomplete," that's your opinion. :)

    Anyway, I strongly recommend this game. I've logged almost 13 hours playing the past two days and can't get enough of this. This is the first title that all my friends and I love unanimously and play together and I don't see us slowing down one bit with future map packs and other enhancements that Respawn has promised thus far (I have read Vince Zampella's Twitter account and so far he has confirmed that Private matches and Class Loadout renaming will be coming, so you know that they're acknowledging our feedback). I would have given it a 10, but I have given a 9 because yes like you, I enjoy a story, and I do love the inclusion of Campaign Multiplayer, however I had a really hard time trying to follow the story and was hoping for some additional cutscenes or maybe in-game "events" that would affect gameplay and allow you to understand how you are progressing the story. With that said, I do want to learn more about the lore of Titanfall and if anything, the game has introduced me to that.

    Congrats to Respawn for such an amazing game, especially as a start-up development studio, and I hope this is just the first of many. Looking back to the jump from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (multiplayer that is), I can see where they're going and I am very excited about the prospects.    … Expand

The online only multi-player aswell, the game has always been marketed at that so why complain about that aspect you knew what you were buying if you don't like games like that why buy it and people say it gets boring after a few hours well then honestly I don't think multi-player FPS games are for you then. BOTS is another thing there supposed to not have that great of an AI there like minions in LoL, there for strategy they help you get your Titan faster, so there is a strategy to farming them etc.

    Flat out amazing! The more time I spend with this game the more the subtle strategic nuances become apparent. Although it lacks a true campaign they did create an interesting objective based online campaign mode that is unlike anything I have ever played before. This is really fun and something I hope to so more of from other developers. As for everything else it is simply fantastic. It's great fu to mix up your tactics with your titan and use them to act as your guardian while you run about on foot and then jump in to make a quick escape from the heat of battle. The only thing preventing me from giving this game a solid 10 is the lack of a true single player campaign but I am willing to overlook that with so much other goodness being brought to the table, the FPS genre has truly changed and taken a step forward. Can't recommend it enough, whichever platform you choose just get it and enjoy!… Expand

    I installed the game right after receiving it yesterday and after experiencing some server stutter in the first hour the game ran smoothly since. And I have to say it is a blast playing the game.
    I enjoyed the beta but the final game is even better. The gameplay is so much fun, it is easy to learn and even as a noob you are going to level up in at a comfortable speed.     This is the best thing to happen to FPS since Modern Warfare 2 (maybe better- there are no hacks yet!). This game is genuinely exciting to play. Playing as both Titans/Pilots gives you two experiences in one game. Can't wait to get everything unlocked!

    Ignore the negative user reviews, they are all from sony losers who have no games to play. All reviews on the internet are overwhelmingly positive for Titanfall, as are the critic reviews. Sony fans come on here to mark down XB1 exclusives - so sad

    I've played the beta on my computer and now I'm addicted , a fresh new multiplayer I've never seen on any other game , the games are fast paced and there's always something to do , destroys this , call titan , destoys titans , kill minions , destroy player , destroy Everything !

    I have not had as much fun on a online game such as this since Cod 4 (and i think i've enjoyed Titanfall more so) Graphics are great and smooth but its definately the gameplay that's the star. I'm lvl 32 and i still want to play it more and more.     Great and fun game. I like everything about this game. The only thing that is bad about this game is that there are little variety of guns and little variety of titans. Unfinished game for 60 bucks.

    So I can only play a game I bought with my money when someone else wants to play. What the actual f*&^. No story and no clue what this game is actually all about. Kids are playing lego Marvel Super Heroes, vastly more entertaining than this

If you were looking for a game that was realistic with a great story line, characters, and just over all fun I would go back to GameStop and just wait to pre order hard line.     In the beginning of the game as you play the training it was actually pretty good it told you about 70% of the controls. After that you get into the story line and from there you get completely lost everything just went crazy it goes straight into the fight with no story line. You don't know where you are. You don't know what you are doing there, you don't know who you are fighting and why, you don't know any of the characters, you don't know who you are. (Besides being a "pilot") the characters in the story mode are just Ridiculous. There is no background on any of the characters. While you play the campaign you also play with other online players. That was a huge mistake the creators made. Because they didn't think that when people get the game and play the campaign 2 month after the release date. All the people that have had the game since it came out are all ready level caped are playing agains people that are level 1. The whole time I played the campaign we lost every round because the enemy team was more experienced, better equipped, and at least new what the controls were! This game should be scrapped and retried. If they corrected all of there flaws this could be a good game. And yes there is a lot more stuff wrong with this game I'm definitely not going to sit here writing an essay about this all night. Read some different reviews. And read user reviews not the company ones. Most of them get paid to say good reviews or they just don't want to seem like there being a dick to a different company. This game is worth buying only at the value of $12 tops!!!. I'm just thankful that this game came with my xbox one so I didn't pay extra for it.     This game is truly a next gen experiance.......the gameplay omg...the best......graphics i give this an 8 but everything else brings it up to 10. Its easy for a new comer or a veteran just to pick up and play.

    Man, oh man. I don't know how anybody could give this game a negative review. I've played every COD (and honestly disliked them after MW2) and love Halo and Borderlands. This game is just fantastic. I bought it on PC and bought an XB1 bundle for it. God damnit. I love this game.

    I would have given it an 8 or 9 but i gave it a 10 because of people giving it a 0 because of a few minor issues. Great fluid movement and great shooting mechanics that have made the first person genre feel new. Great Titan movement that doesn't feel clunky like other games with mechs. Overall its a great buy and definitely worth 60 dollars.

    In many ways Titanfall has a lot of stuff and it should be good for a hundred hours of online chaos, but despite this it feels kind of kind of cut down. I'm not sure if hype scaled up what it was supposed to be but the everything new and exciting is almost balanced out by some, I don't want to say quality because that's not it, but something key thing that is lacking

First off, when comparing this game to the likes of Battlefield 4 it pales in comparison with only a maximum of 12 players in a 6v6 match. The bots in the game are easy free targets. While there is a bit of a story, it is far from fleshed out. And this is coming from someone who craves games that are more story driven (mass effect series, Telltale's games, etc.).

The way you can traverse on "foot" with your jump pack, really does make you look at possible routes in the map differently. So far all the different weapons and gear feels and plays uniquely without feeling overpowered.

    All in all, if you enjoy a good shooter but want something different from CoD and Battlefield then you should certainly check this one out. (Garden Warfare is also a breath of fresh air, but that's a different conversation for a different game) I love both CoD and Battlefield myself, and I have to say that Titanfall certainly gives FPS multiplayers something of a refreshed feeling.     Does this game live up to all the hype? No, how could it? Does that mean it's a bad game? Not at all, it's a immensely fun shooter. I've been playing the PC version and loving it.

    The shooter we've been waiting for lives up to the hype. Fast, fluid, intense. It's missing a few modes and features at launch but all those things can easily be patched in. What's here at launch is an incredible, ridiculously balanced online multiplayer experience.

    If you're curious about the game, play it for yourself, you will fall in love with your titan.

    Aside from a few minor quibbles (I can jump across streets and hop over entire buildings, but a knee-high window ledge is insanely finicky to get past?) Titanfall is undoubtedly a great game which does an exceptional job of breathing new life into an increasingly-stale genre.
