Oct 21, 2014While Platinum has done a great job in terms of delivering a solid action romp, the jarring cutscenes and open-and-shut story leave little in terms of replay value. Avatar and Korra fans will likely rejoice at the fact that they're finally getting a decent game.
-
Oct 22, 2014There was so much potential for Korra when you consider the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a developer like Platinum to work on the combat, but it seems like the Japanese studio’s B-team showed up for this project.
-
Oct 21, 2014The Legend of Korra is a more-than-competent stylish action game and a fine example of Platinum’s pedigree, but as far as an authentic Avatar experience in game form? Not so much. Putting a premium on combat, not characters and story, waters down what makes this Nickelodeon series so special.
-
Oct 31, 2014Even though I admire Platinum Games for what they have achieved this is merely an underwhelming license that showcases a solid fighting system and a bland narrative.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKDec 3, 2014Platinum is great; this game is not. [Xmas 2014, p.79]

Oct 31, 2014There simply isn’t anything here to interest fans of the show, fans of good combat games, or even budget gamers looking for a solid downloadable title for their new consoles.
-
Oct 23, 2014It's clear that Platinum has some understanding of what makes this cartoon so beloved by fans, but I can't fathom why it would settle for such a mediocre experience in light of that.
-
Oct 21, 2014I can’t recommend it to anyone.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKDec 2, 2014Korra isn't broken by any means, it's just mediocre in almost every area. This is for diehard Avatar fans only. [Issue#118, p.80]

Nov 30, 2014We were expecting a great Platinum Games action experience but we found a flawed and rushed game, something we'd find hard to recommend even to Nickelodeon's series fans.
-
Oct 27, 2014There is some value in The Legend of Korra, both as a game and as a tribute to the cartoon on which it's based, but it falls far short of its potential on both counts. Perhaps the third-person combat theatrics for which the studio is known are not replicable on a small budget.
-
Oct 31, 2014While this review of The Legend of Korra reads like a laundry list of problems, there are times when the game is genuinely enjoyable and shows masses of promise. Those times are all too rare however, and you’re less likely to be cracking a smile than you are to be cursing at a game engine that feels cheap, rushed, unpolished, and simply not good enough to compete.
-
Oct 21, 2014The Legend of Korra harks back to the days of branded hogwash, when the most we could hope for was functional gameplay and total disregard for the source material. Korra looks the part on the most superficial level, but possesses not one ounce of the flair and depth that characterize the television series.
