Although simple, the game is weirdly beautiful and subtle. It starts with you in a sunny, lovely forest. Birds singing. but then as you descend down a path, the sun is setting and before long its suddenly become eerie. The music is haunting for sure. Played in the dark, headset on, it plays games with your mind and I'll admit it, i jumped off my seat many times. Some people hate that aAlthough simple, the game is weirdly beautiful and subtle. It's pure head games in my mind. And iits only $10 bucks, so its a fun bargain. I hope these guys can do more! Expand

It can get a bit repetitive if you keep dying over and over again so many times from Slender Man or Masky (or whatever the thing is called). But its creepy atmosphere and dark looking yet pretty levels make this a worthy sequel to Slender: The Eight Pages.

Slender: The Arrival is the definition of a one-trick pony. But it’s a mangy-looking pony, and it isn’t especially good at its trick. It is a shaky start for a series that hasn’t left me all that excited for any sequels. Blue Isle Studios nailed the tense atmosphere, and with some improvements to graphics and story, it could be the foundation of a decent horror franchise.

I'm not quite as warm to it as I was before, but it's an eerie experience that's seeped into my real life.

Slender: The Arrival boasts some genuinely scary moments, but offers little beyond them.
