i bought this game on the xbox one summer sale at £4.im a fan of these types of games outlast alien isolation etc but this game although does have its moments of fear it is ruined by ancient controls and graphics that maybe just me but i suffer eye strain and headaches when playing also level design is frustrating.

it plays like a 10 year old game my advice is buy outlast and dlc not

The original Slender has a simple but working jump scare concept. The Arrival tries another approach and fails a bit in my opinion. The game is not bad but I prefer the original one. Though it had some intense shock moments.

Slender: The Arrival is the definition of a one-trick pony. But it’s a mangy-looking pony, and it isn’t especially good at its trick. It is a shaky start for a series that hasn’t left me all that excited for any sequels. Blue Isle Studios nailed the tense atmosphere, and with some improvements to graphics and story, it could be the foundation of a decent horror franchise.

I'm not quite as warm to it as I was before, but it's an eerie experience that's seeped into my real life.

Slender: The Arrival boasts some genuinely scary moments, but offers little beyond them.
