Its hard to be too critical, when it really is just an extension of a free indie title, but i feel like the developers could have shown a little more ingenuity to develop the premise further. Nonetheless, its a mildly tense game that never outstays its welcome. Only paid a pound or so.

It's amazing what a cult status this game, is and how badly Vasho is in it.

As a horror - the game is very weak. The local "horrors" are rather not frightening, but wildly annoying. Visually, the game looks like your very first Unity work. In general, not too good, it’s a real problem with lighting, the light scatters like that, neither in real life nor in normal games, as it happens here. Well, the gameplay itself is the pinnacle of despondency - just a boring walking simulator, run, and collect something around the area, running away from Slender. This is tiring already in the first hour of the game, and you still have to suffer for 4 hours, at least. One of the worst experiences in this genre, do not recommend it. Glory to Ukraine!

Slender: The Arrival is the definition of a one-trick pony. But it’s a mangy-looking pony, and it isn’t especially good at its trick. It is a shaky start for a series that hasn’t left me all that excited for any sequels. Blue Isle Studios nailed the tense atmosphere, and with some improvements to graphics and story, it could be the foundation of a decent horror franchise.

I'm not quite as warm to it as I was before, but it's an eerie experience that's seeped into my real life.

Slender: The Arrival boasts some genuinely scary moments, but offers little beyond them.
