A great version of my favorite game ever! The gameplay is fun. I can build what I want, explore a huge world, and fight monsters. The online also is improving a lot, and playing online is great. They have a lot of new stuff coming out and that is always exciting. This game is easy to like, and hard to get bored from. It is worth playing for sure!

Minecraft is the same but with minor improvements like adding horses and new music. So I don't really got anything new for the game but it's still fun. So I give it a 9 out of 10

Larger map size and enhanced graphics seem to be the only incentive for making the jump from 360 to One. Supposedly, more will come to the next gen titles, like the addition of servers, so perhaps it's a fee worth paying. Furthermore, for those who do not own a console iteration, definitely go with either the Xbox One or PS4 edition. It's a leg up from last gen's underwhelming console ports.

Minecraft X1 Edition is WONDERFUL. If you're on the fence about this game (thinking it's only for kids like I did before I played it), you're VERY far from the truth -- Minecraft gives you the reigns for endless creativity, build what your heart desires and destroy what you don't admire.

Fun, deep, varied gameplay. Minecraft is one of those games that can be played so many different ways, next gen just makes it a little deeper and look prettier. For the price it is any easy buy. Don't expect a whole new game just expect the same great game with a graphical bump if you owned it on 360 and loved it, it is a no brainier. Come on what are you going to do, not play Minecraft.

If you liked it on 360 you will love it even more on xbox one. Bigger worlds, better graphics, and more fun. It's a must have for those who love to build (and destroy).

I have to say while I originally had no interest in this game I got sucked in by an 8 year old! After that I could not put it down! It is a complete waist of time and pointless but none the less its great!!!
For the price paid you really cant go wrong and should you have an 8 year-old to play with, so much the better!!!

    Just a good game...

I know the PC version is amazing, and it isn't because it has more things than the Xbox One edition, but as you really can connect with lots of people. And that's the main problem in the Xbox One edition: You only can join friend's worlds! There isn't a menu where you can find many worlds and select one. Only if you have a friend in Xbox and him or her has Minecraft

Obviously because it is a special version, it doesn't have mods, and important functions like the one I said above were removed.

Also only there can be 8 players online! In the PC version there can be a lot.

What I what to say is that the game even without mods is good, but if you can join another worlds and if there can be only 8 players at much, believe that it isn't as good as the PC version.

This is how games should be, low cost, download, buy extras for $1 or $2. Rather than $90 and $30 DLC items. ImMy kids love this, downloaded and played from day one. It's Minecraft. There's nothing a whole lot more to say if I'm perfectly honest. It's not a huge upgrade over the 360 version (sure, there's bigger worlds and better draw distance but co-op connection is still poor) - if you like Minecraft then go for it, you'll love it. If you don't like Minecraft, then this won't change anything.

Even though the hype of minecraft has worn off for me, it was still nice to see a next-gen remake with a noticeably higher frame rate and graphical improvements. Also the render distance was improved, which is always a nice thing too see.

-Really Minecraft is a good game, and I recommend this even if it's $20, because you will get your value out of it and then some.
    Bad:
-You can't see any further despite having bigger worlds, and I was really hoping for an increased line of sight.

    Conclusion:
Great, fun, and simply game. It's fun if you're with friends, but it's also fun if you're alone. A must-buy if you like survival games, creative games, or relaxing games.

A survival game that has more depth to it than most would ever imagine.
The game has potential that is only limited by the imagination of the developers and those playing it.
I Love what they have so far, and can't wait to see where all all leads. I would like to see a skin pack that provided a more realistic look to the blocks, but this is purely cosmetic and nothing that would change

Eh. I kind of feel bad for giving it a score this low, but I really have to. The only reason why it is this low is price vs content. The only reason to buy this version is so you can play split screen with your children. The pc version is 5 ish bucks more expensive and has way more options. More servers, more players, mods. Still Minecraft is a dead game and is even deader on the XBone.

Minecraft on consoles takes a huge step forward. The ability to transfer your worlds and purchases from the 360 version make it so there's really no excuse to make this upgrade. It's obviously still not up to the scope of the PC version, but consoles have never been closer. With the promise of more to come in future updates it might not be long until it's there. Even without all of the PC benefits Minecraft on consoles is still a highly addictive experience.

There are no goals in the game other than the ones you make for yourself. It's a game that requires player driven exploration, creation, and destruction. The results are liberating. Finding new things to craft and shaping the world to look however you want it to is a blast. Animals and dangerous monsters who only appear at night give the world some extra life. You can get pets or fight until dawn against enemies like the explosive creeper that can destroy what you've built. Or you can focus on raising animals for food and sleep the night away so that you don't have to deal with monster.

The building mechanics are simple to use and give you an almost endless amount of freedom. Having friends along for the ride only serves to make the game more fun and increase your productivity. The larger world size compared to previous console versions means that there is even more potential and freedom to do whatever you want. The gameplay experience is truly endless.

If you have never experienced Minecraft then there is no better way to do it on consoles. While the PC version is still the way you will want to go for the biggest and more content rich version, with future updates on the horizon it's not hard to see how the game might one day match the PC version. As of right now though it is still an excellent way to play an excellent game. It's a non-stop source of player driven and created fun. One that I highly recommend experiencing.

I give "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" a 9.1/10.
