There have been a few fighting games that have already come out the last year, and for the most part they’ve been very good. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite whilst not as good as some of the other fighting games this year is a very good addition to the genre and it’s a game packed with fun and decent action. The fighting gameplay has been done really well and their is a great deal of strategy to be had when in battle. The strategy in the game is mainly down to the inclusion of infinity stones, and this inclusion makes every fight feel unique and keeps things fresh throughout. The story in the game was very enjoyable, and my favourite part about it was that they made every character feel important, which is great. The roster of characters though wasn’t as big as I thought it was going to be and there are plenty of characters missing, which is a bit of a let down. In terms of content the game has plenty for you to sink your teeth into, and each mode feels as though it’s had a lot of effort put into it. My favourite thing about the game is that it has catered to all skill levels so nobody gets left out, which is great. The presentation side of the game is something I was really disappointed with. The visuals and sound design are really lacking, and you just get a generic feel with nothing much standing out, which is a shame. At the end of the day Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a game that ticks a lot of boxes, and the most important thing is that it remains enjoyable throughout. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as previous fighters this year, but it does enough to join these fighters and it can at times offer a unique experience. Fans of Marvel and Capcom will enjoy this game a great deal and it gets the main aspects right so it gets a big thumbs up from me. Expand

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is incredible! The game is great, extremely fun, the gameplay / gameplay itself is the best ever made in the franchise. It is fun, balanced and fluid. The graphics are not ugly as they seem in Youtube videos, when you play the game in front of you, the graphic is beautiful, nothing amazing, but it is far superior to MvsC3. The game takes advantage of the old characters, but there was a deep balance, and new skills. The characters are better worked and deep. The developers have already said that they have had to take advantage of many characters because of the low budget given by Capcom. The game is not good for casuals, there is not much offline content, but those who like fighting games will fall in love with this game. The criticism was perverse, and the game the guys speak badly because one follows the opinion of the other, without playing and analyzing. Expand

I see where capcom is going with this..I'm sorry for all the cheesballs from UMVC3 who can't do those 999 hit combos and repetitive boring loopers. You now actually have to be creative and play the game with the exeption that most now have a fair shot at competitive online play and tournaments. After spending a fair bit of time with the many fighting games that have released this year, it’s fair to say Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is both slacking and lacking in comparison.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is a good step forward in terms of gameplay so long as you overlook the visuals and the roster.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite succeeds in some major ways. The gameplay is faster and more intense than ever before, even with a smaller roster. Aside from that, the story mode does what it needs to and manages to both tie events together while teaching players, in a fairly organic way, how to properly play the game. The graphics are definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but deliver more that works where it counts even if some animation and character model work would have helped the overall presentation a bit. The soundtrack is probably the best in the series – it may not be as outwardly catchy, but it’s far better for the actual game and makes each battle seem important.
