Mar 26, 2018With an expansive story and memorable mechanics, it’s hard not to view Kingdom Come: Deliverance as one of the most interesting RPG releases in years. One where the difficulty is often a barrier to progress and some of the design choices become frustrating experiences in repetition or flat out giving up and moving on to another activity. Or reloading an earlier save to do more sword training. Rough around the edges sure, but the ambition often shines through.

Official Xbox Magazine UKApr 3, 2018A huge action RPG that is bursting with love and detail. And a fair few bugs, too.
-
Feb 23, 2018Offers up a decent, if predictable, story with interesting characters, beautiful scenery, and ambitious concepts but falls short with numerous glitches, annoying mini-games, and a lack of player immersion.
-
Feb 23, 2018Kingdom Come: Deliverance is vast and ambitious, but won’t please everyone no matter how hard it tries.
-
Feb 28, 2018Ultimately, Kingdom Come feels a bit like homework. If the historical setting and focus on realism appeal to you, then the deep gameplay systems and methodical pace are worth learning. If you'd rather be a magic-wielding wizard or the unequivocal hero, on the other hand, the source material will bore you almost instantly.

Feb 27, 2018There are a ton of problems with this game. While some will find enjoyment in its dedication to realistic combat, I found the majority of the massive adventure to lack lasting appeal. Had I not been reviewing the game, I would have quit after only a couple hours and counted my losses. I respect new ideas and takes on genres, lord knows we need some fresh blood, but not at the cost of actual enjoyment. There are a billion other fantasy RPGs out there, and most of them I found much more enjoyable than Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Feb 27, 2018Kingdom Come: Deliverance is not completely awful. It’s just not very good. Sure, it does have some good ideas and some interesting mechanics, but for every good idea, there are ten that are just bloody bewildering. Warhorse seems to have valued realism over fun and enjoyment with Deliverance, but to be honest, it’s not even that realistic. It’s just a bloody boring buggy mess of a game, but one that isn’t completely terrible. Every cloud and all that.
